Fantastic experience: My 7 year old daughter went to Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodotics today. They were very patient , kind, and professional. I feel that they went above and beyond and provided excellent service.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been coming here for a while now, and every visit just reinforces how wonderful this practice is. The team is incredibly kind, patient, and attentive—exactly what you want in a pediatric dental office. They take their time, help her feel relaxed, and always explain what they’re doing in a way she understands. The office is clean, welcoming, and very kid-friendly. We truly appreciate the level of care they provide and highly recommend them to any parents looking for a great dentist for their child.

Fantastic experience: Great place! My son is autistic and they treated him with such compassion and immediately made him feel so comfortable. He came out running “Mommy I love the new dentist!!”

Negative experience: My son went to this location up until he was 2 and a half. They do great with basic cleanings. He had 2 cavities they temporarily fixed. My son kept saying his tooth hurt. They wanted to wait 6 months to fix it. We went to another dentist to get a second opinion and the hurt tooth that had been bothering him the last few appointments was so infected it would’ve been pulled if he waited 6 months. We went from a 6 month wait to being told it needs to be fixed now and I was shown X-rays. He had surgery today to get everything fixed and we will never be back to Cumberland.

Fantastic experience: So great with my kiddos, always! My 5 year old normally has a tough time with the dentist, but Dr. Roberts was able to calm her down & made it the most pleasant visit we’ve had yet!

Fantastic experience: They make your kids smile better in every way! When it can be tough they lighten your kids load! Cool contests to put a smile on your face in a holiday light! Healthy competition!

Fantastic experience: My family loves it here! My kiddos are always relaxed and the staff is always so kind. Cool sunglasses while they watch a movie and always leaves with a bag of teeth care items and a fun toy of their choosing. Cumberland Pediatrics is awesome.

Negative experience: The only thing that I didn't appreciate is when we walked no one never said they were judging decorations and to vote between 1-4. White woman, husband and child came in after us she did her little spill to them

Fantastic experience: Dr. Roberts was amazing with my 7yr. old son. He is autistic with a lot of sensory needs and it has always been a struggle at the dentist. Dr. Roberts made him feel safe and secure while having fun. He explained everything to him before he did it which made it so much better. Thank you!

Negative experience: We scheduled my three girls to get there teeth cleaned it was my youngest two first ever time at the dentist the dental hygienist was horrible from the start didn’t let them pick toothpaste didn’t talk to them and they were scared and nervous not knowing what to expect being there first time the X-rays took 45 minutes when my husband went to see what was taking so long one of my daughters face was flushed red from crying and she was scared sitting alone she said lady was mean and the X-ray hurt my other daughter tasted blood afterwards and when I mentioned it to the dentist he said my techs don’t hurt kids obviously they do he also treated us definitely than the other patients wasn’t joking with my kids like the others and claimed they had to go surgical center and be put to sleep which I explained I refuse to do it’s dangerous at there age it’s dangerous for anyone my adult dentist won’t do it . He gave us over 3000 dollars after our insurance worth of work he claimed needed to be done all at once mind you and with anesthesia. I will not be going back here it’s terrible

Fantastic experience: My kids absolutely love visiting Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics! The staff is excellent with my girls, ensuring they feel comfortable during every procedure. The hygienists are very relatable, both to the kids and to the parents. It creates a wonderful experience for my children and me as a parent! The dentist we see is thorough and cautious—if he feels uncomfortable with a procedure, he won't perform it until he is confident in what needs to be done. He can also refer kids for oral surgery if necessary. I highly recommend Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry to everyone! They are fantastic, and the hygienists are sweet. They make sure the kids receive a goody bag after their teeth are cleaned, along with a treasure for each visit. They are great with children and very professional! I love this place! STACY SANDERS

Fantastic experience: We just met Dr Roberts for the first time today. He was so kind and patient with our little one. She absolutely loved him. He was very informative on some medical issues that could cause dental problems in the future. We really liked him and are appreciative of his help.

Fantastic experience: We were greeted joyfully and only waited for a little bit for our appointment. Our tech and the doctor were friendly and kind! We needed one filling and they were able to do it same day which prevented a lot of anxiety for more daughter! Great experience overall!

Fantastic experience: My daughter (8) is VERY anxious when it comes to the dentist. We had a pretty terrible experience a few years ago that caused a lot of anxiety moving forward, and it has been a struggle to say the least to find a place that she feels comfortable and that would be patient and helpful with her. I cannot say enough good things about this office. On top of being really close to our house, they are also just unbelievably kind, professional, and more than anything, PATIENT with a kid that was VERY scared. Our first appt was pretty standard. X-Rays, checkup kind of thing. The hygienist (I think his name was Alex if I'm not mistaken) was so good with her. He was efficient, but so patient and polite with her and myself. At that appointment we did learn that she had one cavity that needed some attention. Our options were root canal or extraction, which the Dentist quickly said she would prefer extracting for the simple fact that it was a baby tooth that was going to come out anyway, and a root canal was unnecessary pain and trouble- which I appreciated her honesty. I also agreed. They got us scheduled for the next week (was supposed to be this friday). They called us earlier this week and had to cancel due to a change in Dr...no biggie. I was a little stressed only because she had been having some pain, but they assured me they would call and we should be rescheduled within the next two weeks. Great. To my surprise, they called and got us rescheduled a day EARLIER than the original appointment. Which was today. We went in for her "happy juice" at 8:50a and we were out by 11:15a. That includes the hour we had to wait for her meds to kick in. The dentist was not only personable, but even with a very obviously busy office, he made it a point to keep me in the loop with how she was doing, where he stood with her treatment plan, and what was going on overall. They were all so kind, informative, and it felt like they genuinely cared. As someone who worked in a dental office myself, I know it's stressful and fast paced. They see a lot of people, and kids with anxiety slow them down, but they never once made us feel like an inconvenience or burden. My daughter came out smiling....after having a tooth pulled. She said they made sure she had her blanket on, and were "so nice" to her the whole time she was back there. I normally don't leave reviews for stuff like this, but as a parent who has had a lot of stress around finding her good, quality care for her dental work and her primary care, I wanted to share our experience here to hopefully help another mama out if I can. I would recommend this place 100%. Our son is about to turn 1 and we already have him scheduled for his first appointment with them as well. Absolutely amazing staff from front to back!

Negative experience: I would give them ZERO IF I COULD! I made an appt months ago got confirmation text messages filled out the insurance information online first time visit for my daughter got a book about dentist so she wouldn’t be scared. She showed up to be told there’s no dentist today?! TOOK THE MORNING OFF AND 37 weeks prego I need every extra day I can and now I’ve wasted it because these people are not organized or have their shit together I’ve gotten three confirmations and talked to someone in office days ago to confirm.

Fantastic experience: Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics have been great for our family. From routine cleanings, to fillings, and now braces everyone has always been super nice and knowledgeable. Tracey with Ortho is amazing and always willing to answer questions either in person or by phone. She even called the day after braces were applied to check on our girls!!

Positive experience: The initial appointment was good. Everyone was very nice and sweet to my kids. My daughter needed a follow up to have a procedure done and my insurance doesn't cover much for that. The woman who was helping me schedule it was clearly annoyed that she had to help me. She became more annoyed when I asked questions about the price and trying to decide what would be the best option. She also made me feel really judged about the fact that I wasn't going to able to afford to do everything they wanted to. I ended up calling back later and cancelling the appointment and we're now going somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: So much better than a few moths ago. They were not able to remove or add spacer. But only because they seen she was nervous and hurting. Prior experience the lady kept on trying to add the spacer, even though she was crying loudly. Still trying to force in. My granddaughter is a quiet cryer normally. We had to ask to stop. Today, different assistant and dentist. Didn't force spacer in/out. Her mouth or area is too small and will have to have one custom made. She will also be put asleep for procedure. Thank you for taking care of her today.

Fantastic experience: The staff is wonderful... So is the Dentist... We have been using this dental office for at least 10 years I started taking my son here when he was around 8 now I take my daughter... The staff has always been very kind

Positive experience: We were treated by an excellent professional. I could say that everything was almost perfect until this woman appeared with her patient and we were taken out of the room in the middle of my son's procedure. It was an uncomfortable moment for everyone. I think everyone should wait their turn and respect other people's space, or at least politely request it.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Melvin, who was my daughter's orthodontist. Her expertise and genuine care made my daughter's orthodontic journey a positive experience. We always felt valued and well-informed throughout the process. Now, as we begin phase 2 of her orthodontic treatment, we're excited that it will be closer to home, eliminating the long drives. A special thanks to Mrs. Tracey for her wonderful assistance and support—she made scheduling and communication so much easier. Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office, they work so well with my girls. Every time they make them feel comfortable. When we first came to this dentist office Isabella was scared but now she looks forward to going to the dentist. Both my girls get excited now. Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful orthodontic evaluation today. Mrs Tracy and Dr. Elizabeth were knowledgeable, especially with how TennCare works, and they helped me to understand some things I was not previously aware of. They were empathetic to our particular situation and wanted to help us in whatever way they could. They were friendly and genuine and I would recommend to anyone based on our experience so far!

Fantastic experience: My husband was very impressed with how the dentist was very patient with our son who had an extraction in office today! Thank you so much for being patient, caring, and professional! If every dentist was like this there will be less children coming through same-day services and having to be unnecessarily sedated in order to have minor dental rehabilitation. Our son deals with anxiety. He did not even receive nitrous oxide because he can't, We have a gene mutation that does not allow it. So thank you again to the dentist and the staff that assisted him today in the care of our son Carson! ❤️

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Cumberland pediatric Dentistry in White House was a 10 out of 10!! 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the lady at the front desk doing the check in process , and all the dental procedures afterwards, they were GREAT!!! They were super busy, but they had such a smooth flow to accommodate everyone.

Fantastic experience: Our appointment went smoothly. We completed our paperwork, we’ were seen shortly after arrival and checking out within 30 minutes. The appointment was for my three children to have their teeth cleaned. The staff were friendly and patient. We have been with Cumberland Pediatric dentistry for over 5 years. The care they provide is outstanding and we will continue to seek dental care there.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrendous. Whoever was working up front with the black hair was a smart aleck. I was asked to show up 15 minutes early to do paperwork so I did that but they still failed to get us back on time for our appointment. They were 20 minutes late before getting us back. Then we had a lovely lady named Latifa clean my sons teeth and do what she needed to do she was the best part of the whole visit. But the wait to get an X-ray is absolutely ridiculous definitely should invest in another X-ray machine. I’m not going to even make another appointment here because it was very unorganized and definitely a lot of employees need some evaluation.

Fantastic experience: Cumberland Pediatrics Dentistry has been my kids dentist for many years. The dentist that has worked with the kids for the last couple yrs is by far one of the BEST pediatric doctors that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. My anxiety is usually higher than my children’s but the staff always makes me feel better. The woman is made to work with children! Also I’ve not ever seen her pass me in the hall without a huge smile on her face & the best attitude & personality one can have. It gives me hope for the medical field. We love Cumberland Pediatrics in White House!!!!

Positive experience: We travel all the way from Clarksville because my daughter loves Dr Melvin and Tristen. However the lady that we have to deal with to set her next appointment is NEVER friendly. EVERYTIME we interact with her it’s like we are disrupting her. She is not the face or personality that should be in a role dealing with your patients. Today instead of handing me my daughter’s school note she tossed it, almost dropping it.

Fantastic experience: My children and I love this place. Reception is ALWAYS so welcoming and helpful. I have 2 children who have a real anxiety when it comes to the dentist but have less fear since going here. They have patience and understanding when it comes to children that are fearful. The staff creates such a calming and positive experience. We are so grateful to have found them.

For example my little boy has had several things done and is now nervous, Dr Jack took the time to talk with him, let him know he was there to help Him and listen to him and the staff talked to Him about his favorite shows and they go above and beyond and as a mom I’m extremely grateful!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was polite. Did not have to wait very long despite being a little late myself picking my son up from school with the crazy HWY 76 construction. They allow parents to sit in the back while they perform exam and cleaning. Very open area so all kids feel less nervous around the dentist. There are TVs above the chair installed in the ceiling so children can watch and be more distracted. Friendly doctor. I am so glad I made the switch to this office. Now I don’t feel like I need half of a day just to make a trip for my son to the dentist! Thanks everyone, great team!

Fantastic experience: We have been here a few times, but we had a different dental hygienist today who was absolutely amazing! I warned the hygienist that my autistic daughter may become very irritable during the cleaning but without hesitation she made my daughter feel comfortable and kept her informed on every step made. This was the first time ever that she didn’t cry at a dentist appointment. I’m one happy mama! Thank you Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry!

Positive experience: Back staff was great! The front staff, not so much. Talking about bills due loudly for the whole front lobby to hear, even though we never received a bill. I asked about her second insurance being ran. Which it didn’t look like it was. Then being told it couldn’t be ran now that we don’t have it. (Which it can, I work in the medical field) Then to schedule their follow up 6 month appointment I asked for end of July or first of August before school started and was told I couldn’t because it wasn’t 6 months until August 6. Today is a January 30, 6 months from day is July 30. Very unhappy and looking at swapping dentist after this. I am never the type to complain or be hateful to anyone in the medical field but sounds like some need to be educated

Fantastic experience: Time for cleaning and x-rays. These people are some of the best with children. Did super and found 2 spots. Was able to get him back in 3 days to get them fixed. Orthodontist is great trying to get the kids teeth fixed.

Negative experience: The attention that the young man gave my son was very bad. He barely started cleaning and the power went out and he said that he did it completely and that is a lie. In addition, he hurt my son's cheek because he stretched his mouth very hard and they applied fluoride to it and they didn't ask me.

Positive experience: Cleaning went fine. The guy who brought her out I couldn’t understand because of his mask. Then he gave her a tooth brush for a 5 years old and she is 11… just irritating that they aren’t paying enough attention to charts

Positive experience: 11.2024 My 3 children had a cleaning yesterday & I’m pretty sure we had a new technician… the appointment was set for 10 & we didn’t leave until 12:45. Normally we get called, do X-rays, go back to do cleaning & exam then see dentist. I always take all 3 at the same time and we are there maybe an hour max.. not yesterday. I’m sure he was new but when the other coworkers saw him struggling and asked if he needed help his reply was ‘no thanks I got it’ but he never even got to do the dental exam or fully clean their teeth. Thankfully the dentist took notice and came to our rescue I still love the place but man when someone is new don’t let them go out on their own with 3 patients until they are ready. It’s unfair to him, the kids & the mom getting hassled by the kids the DENTIST herself is wonderful & always has been. I just needed to rant. 2023~Hazel is 3 and had surgery at the surgery center in Nashville. It went amazing! Doctor Lambert and her team are wonderful with children & do an outstanding job. From preop to recovery my Hazel had 0 complications. Her mouth looks amazing and she’s only asked for Tylenol twice since yesterday 3.11 @10am when we left, twice; Once before bed that evening and this morning! I highly recommend Cumberland Peds Dentistry for not only routine dental care but their phenomenal surgery team as well! I send all my parent friends their way!! Fantastic experience: My daughter’s tooth was broken the night before and they squeezed her in first thing the next morning and got her tooth whole again! I’m always so grateful to Dr. Jones and her staff for helping us with a light heartedness and a sense of humor.

Fantastic experience: Very FAST getting us back after checking in! Very PROFESSIONAL! Very courteous! Very welcoming! Had patience with my 9 month old on her first visit! Very nurturing staff! I like how the facility has on site X-rays and orthodontics! My teens are also patients! They love this location and staff! I like the family appts!

Fantastic experience: We came in a little early for our visit! And that wasn’t a problem!! Yay they got us right back, completed the sealant on his back teeth and we were outa there! Everyone is so nice! They do their very best to make it comfortable for the kiddos, and even the parents!!

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! We had several awful experiences here and have switched to an excellent pediatric dentist in Hendersonville. White House location only has one pediatric dentist. She does not treat her staff or her children patients with respect. We have three small kids who had routine teeth cleaning & X-rays. The Dentist chewed out her hygienist in front of the entire room because the X-ray of my 4-year olds teeth wasn’t perfectly straight. The office staff is not any better. We were told insurance didn’t cover a dental treatment on my 3-year olds teeth but then a month later I received a reimbursement check in the mail because the office staff didn’t actually check with our insurance. Worst of all my 5-year old needed a root canal in July but the dentist wouldn’t schedule his procedure until mid-September. My son was in SEVERE pain in August. I called multiple times for help with no response. We went to another dentist who diagnosed and removed his infected molar immediately. We will never return to the office in White House. The dentist has very poor customer service here and the office staff do not know how to administer billing or work with insurance companies.

Fantastic experience: They were so patient with my son who had an anxiety episode when his name was called. She was so gentle with him when he finally did calm down and he realized he freaked out for nothing.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was very nervous seeing as it was her first time at the dentist. The staff was super friendly and talked her through everything they were doing and showed her every tool before using it. She relaxed a ton after that which was a relief, letting the staff do whatever they needed to do. As well as enjoying frozen on the tv above as a distraction. Overall 10/10 and we will be going back for future appointments.

Fantastic experience: My son is mildly on the spectrum. They were very considerate, and quick with an appoinent that I knew would be difficult. I did not catch the detal assistant's name that we dealth with yesterday, but he had the most awesome pikachu shoes! They were all so patient and kind to my 4 year old, and I was shocked we even got some successful xrays! I recommend them to all parents in the area!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the dentist here. I love how all the employees here have personality and it's not just fake smiles all around. It's really Comforting to see everyone's personalities and to see them joke around the office with each other but when a child is in their chair they have their full attention on the child. It's just so warm and comforting and not cold and fake. Love love love these workers and the dentist. You can tell they love their job and the children that go here.

Fantastic experience: Edit: We took Colton back this morning for his appointment and happy to say everything went well! Therefore, I will give the team a big 5 stars!!! Thank you team!!! We are sadly disappointed since we got a call soon after he arrived home today asking us to bring him back because the dentist forgot or overlooked putting a spacer in from an extraction. He had a lot of work done today under sedation. He was tired, swollen and hurting which is normal. But to have to tell him he has to go back there tomorrow and why? He’s 8 years old and very worried now. BUT with all this said, we have always had nothing but great experiences up to now. Hopefully all goes well tomorrow. So we’ll see you soon.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough amazing things about Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry & Ortho in White House, TN. My oldest daughter was very self conscious about her teeth before meeting Dr. Melvin. Dr. Melvin & her entire staff helped put her mind at ease. Today, after 3.5 years of braces and other treatments, my daughter has the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen. They brought her smile back. For that, I’m so very grateful. All my children will be patients there.

Positive experience: I needed to update my review. I am happy with the care to my son and the overall job they do. I had to take off a star for the harassment level number of reminder texts and calls. I have had a phone call, voicemail, and FIVE texts about the upcoming appointment. I confirm and continue getting them. Im tempted to block the number for crying out loud. Also the number of times I had to tell them to charge a new card for orthodontic. I put a new card on file and they continued to bill the old one. Each time they tell me I owe them money like a high pressure bill collector like I am purposefully trying to duck out on paying. I had to tell them FIVE times and had to stand there and WATCH them delete the old card. I didn’t appreciate the attitude each time they told me I owed money considering it was their fault.

Fantastic experience: it was somewhat of a long way, but once we were back to see the doctor, it was a very nice experience. Everybody was very kind and patient my 2 1/2 year-old.

Fantastic experience: My son was definitely not wanting to get his teeth cleaned but the staff was so friendly and helpful for his first experience!

Fantastic experience: Our grandson loves this place! He had some pretty extensive dental work done and we were worried at first. The staff here is wonderful and gave him the kind of attention and care that any parent/grandparent would want. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My kids have gone here for years. They went through a whole staff change and had a rough several months, but the staff now seems to be doing fine! Alexis Mangrum was a great help this morning setting up five cleanings for my kids. She was super sweet with great people skills.

Fantastic experience: I love how they treated my stepson who has special needs and how caring and gentle the staff was with him and I love how they are with my daughter when she had her 1st appointment at 12 months old. So gentle and loving staff and thoughtful handsdown I'd recommend this place to anyone with kiddos needing a dentist

Fantastic experience: We always have a great experience at CPD. Today we saw Dr. Melvin and she was fabulous! We’re headed back for braces next week. They were great to work with!

Positive experience: I've been bringing my children here since they were 6 months old and they're now 7,9 and 11. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because my 7 year old autistic grandson had to have his 2 bottom teeth pulled today and I wasn't allowed back there with him. I don't feel that's right. You should have. Someone there that he knows because it calms him. Also he has a bad sensory disorder And an adversion to certain tastes. He doesn't eat food. They knew this yet they had me try and give him medication mixed with some liquid that he just kept spitting out and gagging on. They should have written a prescription for me to give to him before we got there. That's what my older kids dentist would do when they had to have teeth pulled, and I was always allowed back in the room with them. But that was in California. I don't feel he got the full effects of the sedation because of it. So it caised him more pain. Update 6/18/24 My kiddo's had a wonderful experience today. I love their dentist and the nurses were very sweet and thorough. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Explained everything I need to know and answered all my questions and gave me directions on were my child need to be seen. Was not sure if he could be seen here due to him being 16 they said that would be okay did his cleaning and Referred me to the next steps I need to take. Loved the high energy and how they are with each individual.

Fantastic experience: Cumberland was very easy to get a hold of and schedule with, admin is very on top of things, straightforward new patient process. It was my 4 year old’s first dentist appointment, and I anticipated some hesitancy as he is very strong willed and has been poked and prodded by doctors a lot in his life. But our hygienist Alex was so patient with him, adjusting the environment and showing my son how all the instruments worked, and allowing me to talk him through it. we even got successful X-rays, I was shocked! The dentist Dr. Jones was very warm and clearly enjoys her work, and did the hands-on part of the exam quickly, while not making it feel rushed. My son now wants to floss and brush 4 times per day, it was such a great first dentist experience for him.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at an ortho consult today. Tracy answered all of questions and was very friendly. We have been going to Cumberland Pediatric for around 10 years and it has always been a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Would recommend this pediatric dental office for anyone needing a children's dentist. My two grandchildren had their very first dental appointment today and the whole experience was great!! The office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Alex the hygienist put the children at ease and explained everything to them before starting. Dr.Jones was extremely nice and good with the children. Highly recommend this group!!

Negative experience: Firstly, I called and made the appointment for my son to have his filling replaced. I was told that would happen at this visit. Got his X-rays and cleaning done and then waited for the dentist while she was cutting up with her employees at the computer next to us. The dentist finally came over to our chair and didn’t introduce herself to my son or I. Just started quizzing the dental assistant about what the xray was showing. Then looked at my son’s teeth while still quizzing the dental assistant and then said she would give us 2 treatment plans and I asked if the filling could be replaced today and she just smiled and shook her head no at me. I asked why and she said she didn’t have time. I told her I was told it would be fixed today when I made the appointment and she didn’t have anything to say. So we left and wont be back. Very poor bedside manner and poor service! Will not be going back and will not be recommending her to anyone I know. I use to work for one of the top oral surgeon groups and they would have never let a patient leave unhappy and without their problem fixed. She has a lot to learn if she wants to do well.

Fantastic experience: The only thing was they took away the tokens to get prizes. I talked to my autistic son for over a week bc he LOVED that. They just took it away and didnt inform anyone. I work in public health. The first thing you realize about patients is expectations and reality. Well my autistic son came and did everything bc he thought he would have a token. Yeah not a good experience. Bring the tokens back , or at least inform parents you have changed the prize situation. It may not seem important to people in charge, but it is important to parents with children who expect something and it just not be there. Not a good thing if u want parents to feel like u care.

Fantastic experience: The team at Cumberland Pediatric exceed my expectations at each and every visit. Two teens in braces means many appointments over the course of a year. It is easy to schedule, never longer than a 5 minute wait, and always kind and friendly. The doctors and staff take the time to listen and explain all treatment plans and costs. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: We have been loyal visitors to Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics of White House for several years and have generally had positive experiences. My 7-year-old son, who tends to be quite cooperative and has learned a lot here over the years, faced a challenging visit recently. He is apprehensive about new experiences and was particularly nervous about using the x-ray machine this time. During our last appointment, the insistence by the dental assistant for my son to undergo an x-ray felt a bit forceful. Initially, I was asked to wait outside the x-ray room, suggesting they intended to proceed without my presence, which I was not comfortable with. Despite my intervention and efforts to demystify the process for my son—demonstrating the use of the machine myself, and even promising him a toy for his bravery—he ended up distressed and in tears after the x-ray. While I understand the importance of dental x-rays, I believe there could have been a more compassionate and patient approach, especially given the potential anxiety such procedures can cause for children. Forcing or rushing a child into something they’re visibly scared of, and attempting to separate them from their parent during such a moment, doesn’t align with the supportive and nurturing environment one would expect from pediatric care. We appreciate the staff's expertise and the valuable dental care provided here over the years, which is why we plan to continue our visits. However, we hope for a more understanding and less pressured approach in future visits, especially for procedures that can be alarming to young patients.

Fantastic experience: Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry in White House has always been a fantastic and fun experience for myself and my child! My kid has been going there for 8 years now and we have been nothing but satisfied with their caring and wonderful staff! I would recommend for everyone to bring their children here, you will never leave without a big smile on your face!
