Negative experience: My kids have been patients there for over a decade, and I have had many instances where I should question why I still go. Starting when my daughter was young and I was charged 90$ for wiggling out an already loose baby tooth. Didn't know it was chargeable thing when she asked do you want me to wiggle this out? She had a cavity filled and the products they used caused the skin on her cheek to slough off in sheets and then heal with a wet yellow scab. And was left with we dont know what caused it for an answer. Another time I tried to cancel an appt for her because she had a fever and was super sick. They tried to charge me 45$, so I brought her in fever and all to show them how sick she was and then they ignored me when I said she is too sick to stay ..looked over at my 15 year old daughter to ask her as if Im not in charge of my under age childs well being. Mind you we went into lockdown for covid 2 weeks later. Now currently with my son I was given an outrageous bill estimate of what my insurance would not cover for some cavities. No one even asked if this was something I could afford. They called and said ok I need a deposit of 800$. The total was around 2K. After explaining that I cannot afford that and we need to come up with another plan (insulting I have to beg for other options and basically tell them I'm too poor for this). They did accommodate me with other options. Now recently this last visit. I was told about the mandatory policy of an exam on every cleaning, even though my insurance only covers one exam a year but 2 cleanings. They have already been giving exams with each cleaning for the people with coverage, so this policy is strictly impacting those who do not have that coverage. They know by doing this their clients will have to pay out of pocket. You want to squeeze money from insurance's .. fine but out of your own clients pockets? Thats not ok.

Fantastic experience: Our son has a lot of medical anxiety but I have to say the staff at Children’s Dentistry “get him.” He’s come so far in his last few visits and I credit the hygienists with so much of his growth in confidence. Each time he has a positive experience, he gets a little braver. The staff really feels like partners in this journey with us. Thank you thank you!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, our experience on 10/21 was very disappointing. We arrived on time (10 minutes early), but after waiting about 20 minutes, I was told that the office couldn’t verify our insurance because the insurance coordinator was out and the billing coordinator could not be reached. We also were not notified that the forms had to be filled out 24 hours prior to the appointment. We were then informed that if our daughter wanted to be seen, we would need to pay $220 out of pocket and still wait to be called, since other patients were being seen first. With having my and my husband’s social security numbers and my license number, I find it hard to believe this couldn’t have been billed. This was our child’s very first dental visit, and we were both looking forward to it. I completely understand that staffing challenges happen, but it was disheartening to only learn about the issue after waiting, and to be told the next available appointment at a time we need isn’t until December 3. I want to share this feedback because I was genuinely hoping this could be the start of a positive experience for our family with your practice. I hope you can take this into consideration and perhaps look into better communication processes for future patients in similar situations. Similar email was sent to the practice over 48 hrs ago and I haven’t received a response but I’ve received two requests for a Google review.

Fantastic experience: First time there with my son. Everyone was very friendly. I was really impressed with the amount of patience they had with my son who was very nervous and anxious. Very knowledgeable and informative, my son had a great experience and I was very pleased! Looking forward to our next appointment!

Fantastic experience: The staff were amazing. They were patient with my son who has anxiety at the dentist office. They took their time, worked with him and showed him step by step what they were going to do to help him stay calm. Absolutely amazing staff best children dentist. They have tvs on the ceiling to help kids and it’s a very kid welcoming facility. Super clean, kind I can’t say enough ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: Should accept new patients don’t bother to call if you want to get in they won’t accept. They should hire more staff if not enough staff to cover new patients.

Fantastic experience: They are great will kids my son is hard but they work with him every time we go there and all 3 of my kids love it. Last time my son sat the whole time and enjoyed the dentist!!! What kid loves a dentist. Well mine love this one!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my kids here for nearly two years now. We found Dr. Nick when we moved to Rhode Island and my son needed some extensive dental work which caused him to be extremely apprehensive about visiting the dentist. Even after what some might consider a potentially traumatic dental experience, my son still said he wanted to return to this office to see Dr. Nick. Since then, it’s been smooth sailing at every appointment. We were also fit in this week within 24 hours when my son was complaining of tooth pain. All in all, I love this practice.

Fantastic experience: Today my son had Miss Lizzy for his cleaning and she was absolutely amazing! She made the appointment fun and took the time to show him all her tools and explain what she was doing, allowing her to do a full cleaning on a five-year-old my mind was blown. She is patient kind and super sweet hands-down the best! I highly recommend this dental office and even more so their dental hygienist Lizzy.

Fantastic experience: Our first visit and my toddlers first appointment ever. Check in was smooth, she was seen on time, and we were out sooner than expected. The place is super clean, and the hygienist was very friendly and great with my daughter. She loved the TV on the ceiling. Only thing that surprised me was that they don't have individual exam rooms, but rather a partition. I can see that being an issue if a kid has a meltdown.. in terms of both noise and keeping them in one place- but it wasn’t an issue today. I think we’ll be sticking with them as long as we live in the area.

Fantastic experience: Our son has some complicated dental issues m so we’ve shopped around and THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Service is always expedient and friendly and our kids don’t even mind coming for fillings because they are always made comfortable. From staff to doctors, I couldn’t more highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I’m not one to write reviews, but every single visit we’ve had to this location has been perfect. The staff are all so authentically friendly, the dental assistants are so great with the kids, the dentists are always very knowledgeable and quick with answers. We’re always in and out of there in less than 15 minutes without actually feeling rushed.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed and pleased with Rhode Island Children's Dentistry. From the office space to the hygienists and dentists, we feel very comfortable and receive the highest quality of care. My sons' teeth are cleaned and they are examined by the dentist, with all my questions and concerns thoroughly addressed. We never leave feeling unsure of next steps. We always look forward to our routine visits with Dr. Paquin, Dr. Kiang, and Dr. Edwards. I also want to say the office is state of the art, with TVs on the ceiling above the chairs so the children are occupied while they're getting their teeth cleaned. They have made accomodations to meet my children where they are and have scheduled visits for us to be in the same room with the same hygienist so we don't need to be separated. The front office staff are very patient and accommodate our scheduling needs. They also give the best toys and toothbrushes. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I went for my first appointment for braces and I had a good experience. The staff was friendly and very welcoming and Jen was so Nice and professional. Fantastic experience: My kids love going here. They have some comforts like showing movies on the ceiling, fun prizes and everyone is just great with kids. In our most recent visit our kids were seen by Dr. Edwards, she is great. We have liked every dentist that we have met! During their dental appointment, our orthodontist Dr. Panaser popped over and gave them a quick check up. We were just about to schedule our son's pallet expander but Dr. Panaser let us know we actually didn't need it as this time so it saved us a whole appointment. I love how the dentist and orthodontist work together and the offices are all connected. I definitely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: We’ve had such a wonderful experience at the East Greenwich office! Both of my boys, ages 4 and 7, actually look forward to going to the dentist for the blow up decorations and the prize and sticker after their appointments. The waiting area and TVs with kids shows playing make them feel right at home, and they’re always happy and comfortable during their visits. The staff and hygienists are so welcoming and friendly, which really puts both kids (and parents!) at ease. I’m so grateful to have found a place where dental visits are a positive experience from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: All of these reviews are spot on. I took my daughter here today after a not so pleasant experience at another practice. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. The office and waiting area were bright and clean. The hygienist was incredible. She was so warm and friendly. She explained everything to my 3 year old and was patient with her. Even though my daughter was shy and apprehensive, she didn’t cry and scream like her previous experiences elsewhere. Dr. Paquin was so friendly and explained dental health so well. My daughter was able to get a prize and sticker after the appointment which she was so happy about. I am 100% happy my daughter is now a patient here.

Positive experience: This office is very pretty and clean. Everyone works at this office is extremely friendly, helpful and caring. I like to come here for my son's regular dental check up even thought it takes 25 Minutes to get there. Thank you all from this office.

Fantastic experience: It was my 1st time here with my son who is autistic and non verbal, his hygienist Caty was the best, she was very patient with my son, she took the time to show him and explain every step of the cleaning process, he tolerated longer than I expected and was very comfortable and not irritated at all.

I’m a first time mom with crazy nerves and I felt so comfortable and it was the best experience I could’ve asked for. He latched immediately after procedure didn’t seem overly upset afterward. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience! Today was my son’s first dentist appointment and I was overwhelmed thinking about how he would be. The hygienist (I think Jess) was absolutely amazing. So gentle and informative with my son. Dr. Kiang was also amazing!!! They really made my son’s first visit special and was not scary at all. All day he talked about how he went to the dentist and brushed his teeth!

Fantastic experience: Thankful for this recommendation from a friend. Both my girls were seen recently and it was overall such a positive experience. Check in was quick and easy and we were greeted with warmth and a smile. The waiting room was clean and had a fun kids movie on that my girls loved. We spent very little time in the waiting room and were called back pretty quickly. My oldest was not the most cooperative and the staff was so kind and patient. The dentist listened, was very kind and connected with the girls individually which made a huge difference.

Fantastic experience: I love this office for my son he is 15 but has always had high anxiety when going to the dentist since 3 years old. Dr. Always shows so much compassion, understanding, and kindness towards my son whether it’s a cleaning or filling. I love that for him. I don’t remember the dentist name but she always has her hair dyed pink red etc she’s the best!!!! Front staff is also always kind, attentive, and timely. Thank you!!

And even when the dentist has to deliver not so great news about a cavity, I don’t feel any judgment as the parent. Love love love the constant text reminders. Fantastic experience: My 18 month old son had his first cleaning appointment and the hygienist and Dr. Paquin did such an amazing job with him. He was nervous of course not understanding his surroundings, but the whole office is geared to making children feel comfortable with the TV’s on the ceiling, and toys to choose from when they leave. Dr. Paquin is great at answering any questions and making you feel at ease. He performed my son’s tongue tie procedure when he was 2 months old and did a great job. So happy we were referred to this practice!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about our experience here. We were referred to Dr. Nick by our family dentist. Erin is an incredible hygienist. She explains everything to my daughter before doing it, asks for consent, and keeps it feeling fun & safe for her. Dr. Nick is a fantastic dentist. Truly, one of the best medical providers I've encountered. He always takes the time to really sit down, explain things well & engage in shared decision making. He takes a thoughtful, slow, conservative approach which makes you (as a parent) feel safe. He's extremely knowledgable and open to all questions and conversations. Truly, they make parent and child feel safe & so well taken care of. My daughter loves going & talked about our "fun day at the dentist" for days. That says everything. If you're a person with past medical or dental trauma, truly this is a safe place to get excellent care. We are so grateful we ended up here!

Ariana helped my wife and our three children and tried to jumpstart her car all to help her get a tow safely until I could help her. Fantastic experience: Always the nicest receptionists. Jenny went out of her way to help me with grabbing some lunch since my daughter was missing lunch at school. It is so nice when someone goes above and beyond. Also I always get a briefing on what will happen and how it went.

Fantastic experience: First time with two boys after transferring from another practice and had a great experience! Front desk staff was welcoming and friendly and Erin, our hygienist, was awesome. She was kind and patient with my boys and took her time explaining everything so there were no surprises. Dr. Edward’s did the exam and was also great, super friendly and efficient. We’re so glad we switched to this practice and would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We were referred to Dr. Paquin for our daughters lip and tongue tie. During our consultation it was discovered she only had a tongue tie. Which was so nice to hear. We didn’t have the tie release same day as it was recommended we get some OT suck training first. We will be back! Dr. Paquin and his wife were so knowledgeable and kind!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful with my child. Love it here. I will say, for me as an adult with high sensory to hearing and anxiety, the atmosphere is very loud and difficult to hear. Difficult to gather your thoughts. Could be me, my son being on the spectrum also struggled a little with the noise. But all and all the staff was great.

Negative experience: Unethical Medical Business. "Business" is the correct word to describe them. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with this dental office. After being asked to fill out forms and waiting for nearly four weeks—while my 4-year-old was in pain—I made multiple calls (at least ten!) just to finally speak with the intake person. Only then was I told they couldn’t see my child for another five months—something they could have informed me of from the start. Wasting a parent’s time when their child is in pain is completely unacceptable and unethical. This is not how a medical practice should treat people in need. Avoid if you need timely and compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this pediatric dentist enough! The office is always clean and well-organized, creating a welcoming environment. The staff is incredible with my two kids, especially with my child who had a significant fear of doctors. They are so patient, kind, and understanding, making each visit a positive experience. I’m so grateful for their care and attention to my children.

Fantastic experience: Cathy, our usual hygenist, is so patient and caring with my son who has major sensory issues. I panicked when she wasn’t there. However, the hygienist who filled in was just as diligent in making sure he could tolerate the procedure. Cathy had taken very clear and specific notes, so she knew what to expect. Dr. Nick also understands my son’s needs and fears and works with him to make the experience as calming as possible. Everyone is amazing here!

The waiting room is spacious and inviting, with Disney movies playing to keep little ones entertained. Even during exams, TVs on the ceiling provide a comforting distraction. The doctors and assistants are exceptional at handling even the most uncooperative children with ease and efficiency. The front desk team is always accessible, sending helpful text reminders and ensuring seamless communication. The entire experience is modern, well-organized, and designed with families in mind. They truly get it!

They told me they want it to be a positive experience for him. They also gave prizes at the end and the kids were super happy! love this place. So glad we tried it out.

Fantastic experience: Consulted with the Pacquins on a tongue tie for my 5 month old. They were warm, informative and approachable. I genuinely feel they have my family’s best interest at heart. Incredibly friendly and helpful front desk and scheduling staff. Will be bringing my 2 year old to see the pacquins for his first check up.
