Small Bites Pediatric Dentistry

Fantastic experience: I cant say enough about the level of compassion and care that my children receive at Small Bites. I have been to other pediatric dentists who you could tell just wanted to take advantage of the situation and make money. This is not the case here. They only do what is necessary and are very compassionate during the whole process. I am so grateful for them and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a pedeatric dentist.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Small Bites to anyone with small children with sensory issues or just afraid of the dentist. VERY kid friendly place, very patient, VERY CLEAN!!! They’re going to get you in and out. My son had a breakdown and cried for so long. Mrs. Raven never became irritated or impatient with him, but remained gentle and talked him through his appointment—showing him all the utensils she was using and saying what she was going to do with them. Dr. Pate is amazing as well!!!

Fantastic experience: We have taken our daughter to Small Bites several times no and have always had an amazing experience. The staff is always amazing and Dr. Jones is awesome. We highly recommend and it’s well worth the 2 hour drive.

Fantastic experience: What a great place! From scheduling an appointment (was in within 2 days!) to seeing the dentist. I have a 2 year old and if you know you know — 2 year olds are a hand full! Dr. Pug and his assistant were so kind and SO incredibly patient with my *screaming* and squirming boy. I also felt very safe with the care and diagnosis my son received. I did not feel rushed and all my questions were answered. I also received very helpful education to help me better care for my sons teeth. Thank you Small Bites! We are so happy to have found you all! Update from 4/8/25: My son (mentioned above) ended up needing sedation for some dental work. We opted for Versed + nitrous treatment and he did great (he is almost 3). I was an absolute nervous wreck beforehand, but the staff was so kind and understanding. The staff were also prompt in answering all my questions prior to his sedation. The procedure itself only took 10-12 minutes. Please be aware that the staff takes your child once the medication kicks in. Personally, I felt safe with this because I felt SO safe with the staff. I was also made aware beforehand that parents wouldn’t be allowed. I didn’t want to watch the procedure because it would have just broken my heart. I know this is long — but again, cannot speak highly enough of Small Bites.

Positive experience: I wanted to do a follow up on my son's care. I really appreciate Dr.Jones for going the extra mile to get my son in atACH to get his procedure scheduled. Thank you !

Fantastic experience: We had another great visit at Small Bites today! My daughter has been a patient there with Dr. Pate since she was two, and she has always received amazing care. All the staff are friendly, patient, and helpful. The clinicians always clean and tidy. Dr. Pate is efficient but very thorough. He is always complimentary of my daughter’s oral care, which she loves! Her favorite part is picking out a little toy on the way out the door! We recommend Small Bites for all your pediatric dentistry needs!

Negative experience: Our visit was today 2/7/25, I must say the front desk staff and billing rep was rude. Got a quote for filling and she was blunt and rude. I inquired why he has to have two type of sedation for filing, and if it’s required since insurance doesn’t pay for it. Her facial expression and demeanor was enough for me. Prior to us going to the back, I observed the front desk staff gossiping about an African American parent and her children after they walked out of the door. The same billing rep who printed , my quote got up with a glove on one hand and wiped the door handles down and whispered to the dental hygienist. I’m not sure if the patients were coughing in the back. Unfriendly billing rep and front desk staff.

Negative experience: First visit, Dr was friendly and personable. Office very clean. Update from my original Review ❗️ I had high hopes for them in-regards to handling my son’s care who is special needs. From Nov2024 until now Jan2025 my son has not been serviced for his cavities . The referral fell through and no one noticed me until after I reached out to finally speak to the Manager. After that talk she said that she as communicated with the Dr and he had another possible option and to give them a couple of days and I would get a call back …. Well you got it STILL NO CORRODPONENCE FROM ANYONE ! My so is non verbal if he is in pain he has no way of communicating to me. I hate that my son is not a priority to them but he is to ME ❗️Very unacceptable care ❗️❗️❗️❗️

Fantastic experience: My kiddo is three and loved his first dental visit. They were very kind and patience with him and his want to “do it myself” haha. Totally recommend.

Fantastic experience: They were very helpful and professional across the board, from the front desk staff to the doctor. They worked my daughter in for a dental emergency quickly and eased her anxiety about the procedure. Dr. Pate was excellent and efficient with a superb bedside manner. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: We love and recommend Small Bites to all Autism families we meet. This clinic and staff are incredible, kind, patient, thoughtful and inclusive. We could probably use more locations in new areas following the same practices!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service/very personable from my very first phone call to my office visit the following day, I had been to two other dentist who could not get an X-ray of my child’s mouth {she is autistic) but small bites made it look easy!! We have a new dentist, I am highly impressed!

Fantastic experience: My daughter is very shy and doesn’t usually want to go to anyone. The entire staff is amazing, but the nurse specifically had my daughter warmed up to her within 30 minutes. She was so sweet. The dentist made sure I knew exactly what they were doing to her and wanted me to feel comfortable. They didn’t force her to let them check her teeth, they waited until my daughter let them. Very very pleased with this place.

Fantastic experience: Great staff! Super patient with timid patients and does a great job explaining the cleaning to even a 6 year old. Impressed with their customer service, care and building kid’s confidence and pride for their teeth health. The tv screens to distract and getting to pick out a prize at the end is an extra bonus!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love the Dentist and the staff. They are always very welcoming, professional and friendly every time we are there. My kiddo is autistic but they always know how to handle him without any meltdowns. Highly recommended to everyone!!!

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience at Small Bites. My daughter is very shy, but the hygienist (Jackie) and Dr. Jones were great with her. It’s a great office for little ones.

Negative experience: One star because you do not allow parents to go back for dental work. My 4 yr old had to go back without Mom for an hour and I did not know until he was called back. Seems kind of sneaky! Not happy with this policy although I understand it is easier on the dentist and staff, I’m more concerned with the patient being comfortable and me the parent. I choose our care based on that, the care we receive. This care includes us being comfortable and feeling like we can trust the staff. That trust is built by observing the care being provided to my child, especially since they are vulnerable and still learning how to be comfortable with medical procedures. My child did great of course during procedure but as soon as we got to the car had an emotional outburst because he needed my support.

Fantastic experience: As before the service was outstanding from the front desk to the dental assistant. All so friendly courteous knowledgeable. Glad we were directed to you. Moses has dental care for life if possible.

Fantastic experience: The dentists and staff at Small Bites are fantastic. My daughters love going to the dentist! And it doesn’t hurt that the decor is wonderful. She loves finding the animals in the mural in the waiting area!

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I always leave this place very happy because of the great service they give us. They always have great staff and they also speak Spanish. The place is very nice and comfortable, my daughter is not afraid to go to her appointment with the Dentist thanks to all this.

Negative experience: My child is traumatized. He had two fillings done and caps put on them both (which I wasn't aware they would both need and no one came to inform me). I wasn’t allowed back to sit with him, which resulted in him going through a painful experience where he could feel everything. He dealt with throbbing pains the entire rest of the day and is still in pain today (not the usual soreness). We will not be returning.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff! My only complaint is that I couldn't be in the back with my daughter as she got her fillings. I understand why they do it that way but I still wanted to be with her.

Positive experience: Very nice nice staff, wonderful dentist. But when my child is coming in for a procedure, and is given oral medication, when I ask what she is being given…don’t respond “medicine “. I KNOW it’s “medicine”. I’m a nurse and want to know what medication at what dosage my daughter is being given. Even if I wasn’t a nurse, this would be a great opportunity to educate parents about what, and why medications are given.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! I called in a bit of a panic as a brand new patient and they were able to squeeze me in the next morning. My toddler was having a meltdown the whole visit and everyone was so calm, patient, and nonjudgmental about it. We were in and out and so relieved to have been seen so quickly.

Fantastic experience: I brought my daughter in for her very first dentist appointment and she did wonderful! Thanks to the caring staff here and Dr.Harris! She has been super excited about her “prize” and new toothbrush all morning.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jones is amazing. My son has a genetic disorder that causes teeth deformity and Dr jones and his assistant took there time and explained everything to us! He answered every question I had!

Fantastic experience: First visit with my 4 year old son who is autistic. They made us feel so welcomed. They played with him and got him comfortable with everything they were going to do. If you have a special needs child or not this is definitely the place to go. I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful first experience here. We were in and out in 30 minutes and my 4 year old let Dr. Pate inspect all of her teeth, which she has never permitted before. Our previous dentist was really pushy and she was starting to get anxiety about her visits. The hygienist was sweet and stopped the cleaning when my kiddo expressed discomfort, no pushiness to continue. And Dr. Pate was so playful while doing his part, that she barely noticed it was happening. We will be back!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Keith is the best in town. The entire team at Small Bites is fantastic. Everyone is so kind, knowledgeable and they make being at the dentist fun for our kiddo. We love coming in for check ups and can’t recommend Dr. Keith enough!

I wish they could’ve let her dad go to the back as well, to get a visual of what it’s like, and get the experience. But instead I went since I do have better detailed insight on her day to day. Other than that we love it !

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place to take your kids or small kids who are afraid of the dentist. That is just a start. The doctors an workers are so sweet an amazing people. My daughter had a cavity an they said it would be May before they could get to her. She started having pain Sunday night to where it was causing her to get sick an throw up. I give Small Bites a call to see when they would be able to push up her appointment to remove the cavity, an they worked around alot of things an the dr got his team in extra early to work her into there scedual today. It means alot to me that they were willing to come in extra early so that my daughter could have her appointment done today. Such a wonderful staff an amazing Dr's. Thank you Small Bites for all you have done.

Fantastic experience: I had both my boys in for a visit recently. With my youngest on the spectrum dentist visits can be quite an ordeal, so needless to say I was a little anxious about the visit before we even arrived. No need to be though, the hygienists and dentist that day were so calm and patient with both of our boys and so Understanding . It made me feel so at ease and that’s so reassuring when you have visits like we do. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: Baylee deserves a raise! I had to bring all 3 of my kids in today for my oldest son's dentist appt. After waiting for an hour in the lobby, the front desk told me that unfortunately I would have to leave and come back later. Baylee must have seen the look on my face and overheard what happened so she offered to stay and get him seen immediately. They were even kind enough to give my youngest son a toy from the prize wall so that made his day. No dentist office is perfect but this one definitely comes close. Thank you Baylee and everyone at Small Bites!

Fantastic experience: My child’s current dentist had us scheduled more than a month out for her needed procedure. I was referred to Small Bites by parents. They got her in within 12 hours and surprised me and did the needed procedure on the spot. Everyone was great with her and made her feel comfortable and she left with a smile. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I could not be happier with my experience today. I have tried to get my autistic son's teeth taken care of for several months now. My concerns had been pushed under a rug and I was made to feel like a terrible mom. My son would tell me his tooth hurts but I couldn't get anyone willing to do what has to be done. That was until today. Small Bites listened to my concerns, looked at my son's mouth and knew immediately that something needed to be done. I left feeling reassured that I was crazy and my son will soon start to feel better.

Fantastic experience: Today, we visited Small Bites as new patients with our 2 and 1 year olds. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was very friendly. Jaden and Dr Jones were excellent with my children. We loved our experience and have booked our next appointments.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and professional. My grandson does so well with them. Everyone there from the front desk to getting X-rays does so good with him. His favorite is getting a chance to watch the TV in the ceiling while getting his teeth cleaned.

Fantastic experience: There’s not enough space for me to explain just how amazing this place is. It’s a stark difference from a recent visit to Saline county Dental in Bryant. I can’t begin to express the utter gratitude and emotions I felt bringing my grandson here today! Dr. Jones is literally top notch! Natalie is simply amazing! We were welcomed and made to feel comfortable! My grandson is on the spectrum and he was treated with such tremendous respect, care, patience and compassion! Not only did we experience the best patient care, but we got a 2nd opinion that changed a recent attempt from saline county dental to extract front teeth that didn’t need to be extracted nor capped with silver caps. I’ve been overwhelmed with emotions due to our previous experience with Saline County dental that today a visit with Small Bites, Dr Jones and staff relieved all that stress. I highly highly recommend this clinic!!! Giving praise!

Fantastic experience: Amazing and caring staff from the moment you walk in. Fantastic for the special needs community. I've tried other dentists closer to home, but there is NO comparison! I drive 30 mins to Small Bites (vs the dentists that are literally 2 minutes from my house). They treat me and my family like we are their most important clients. CAN NOT PRAISE THEM ENOUGH FOR THEIR SPECIAL NEEDS SERVICES!

This was our first visit to Small Bites Bowman but the staff was able to relax my toddler enough to enjoy herself after a stressful encounter at a different dentist office. Fantastic experience: We highly recommend Small Bites Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jones is truly a gift from GOD. My son is 3 years old and is diagnosed with Autism level 3. It’s so hard and so emotional trying to find someone that will see kids with special needs. After my son’s appointment I sat in my car and cried because Dr. Jones was so caring and so good with him. You can tell he loves his patients and his job. We will never see anyone else now except for him. Thank you Dr.Jones for making my son feel accepted.

Fantastic experience: My little grand was afraid to go back by to the exam room by herself and the staff was patient and encouraged her that it would be okay. She returned skipping back to the lobby showing me her teeth & asking me to smell her breath. Then when we arrived home she ran in the house & opened her little pack of floss and started flossing I was so tickled at her excitement. Great friendly Staff!

Fantastic experience: My daughter's first time at the dentist was way more smooth sailing than I had anticipated. Our hygienist, Natalie, was so great, making every aspect fun and interesting vs scary. She also offered informative tidbits to me about kids teeth in general that I wouldn't have otherwise known! Dr. Pate was awesome! He came right in and was excited and complimentary to her so she never had the chance to think twice that he was a stranger. Fantastic experience: I normally take our son to the dentist to see Dr. Jones but today my husband took our son and he came home very happy with Dr. Jones. Our son as always was very happy and had a great experience! After our sons first experience with Dr. Jones he walked out the building and said he wants to be a teeth doctor. Fantastic experience: Super friendly, patient, helpful staff. Great with my kid. He loves them, and that he gets to watch movies during his appointment and gets a toothbrush and a toy every time. We’re grateful for their great work! My younger child will start appointments soon too.

Fantastic experience: We came for a second opinion and I’m now switching all 3 of my boys to Dr. Jones! I was very pleased with his conservative approach and the way he thoroughly explained all the options, gave his opinion and ultimately let me decide what approach to take. I appreciated that very much. Every staff member who had anything to do with child’s visit was superb.

Fantastic experience: We love coming here! With 3 boys, it’s nice to have all 3 get their teeth cleaned at once. Keith is so patient and thorough with the kids, they really enjoy going. They love the TV’s on the ceiling and surprise toys they get when they finish. They actually look forward to coming.

Fantastic experience: Love Small Bites! They are amazing and get all five of our sons in at the same time and out. Efficient but caring, the whole staff is a pleasurable to work with. Thankful for their practice!

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist for my baby girl! Staff is very friendly I feel welcomed everytime we come for a visit. My girl loves it as well they explain everything they're doing to your child so they're not scared at all!
