Fantastic experience: I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to share our experience. Dr. John De Lorme is an exceptional and highly skilled dentist—honest, conservative, and truly patient-focused. He takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly, does great dental work, and never rushes appointments. All three of my kids are under his care, and we trust him completely. After a disappointing, profit-driven experience at another dental office, finding Dr. De Lorme has been such a relief. Melissa at the front desk is fantastic too—respectful, and always goes above and beyond with scheduling and follow-ups. This is a practice that genuinely cares about its patients. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about this practice and Dr John De Lorme. The office is as playful and clean as you’d want a pediatric office to be. The staff were friendly and engaging. My kids left with goodie bags, and upon leaving, we were given coins to use in their Photo Booth. My kids had so much fun! Dr John was personable and accommodating. He is a very, very nice person. There’s a reason all my family highly recommended him to me when we moved into the area.

Reception staff is amazing. Our Dental Hygienist Bree was incredible. Ms. Stephanie who assisted in my son’s pictures was awesome. And Dr. John DeLorme was exceptional. Super patient, caring, detailed. I can’t say enough great things about them!!!

Fantastic experience: South OC Pediatric is the best pediatric dentist we have ever been to. My 3 kids have been patients for many years now and we will never go anywhere else! They still see my 18 year old son, and I don’t want him to ever age out even though that time is coming. Both Dr. DeLorme and Dr. Wu are excellent doctors who truly care about my children. They are both extremely intelligent and don’t push unnecessary procedures, but truly care about our kids’ oral health. They coach them to make healthy decisions and habits, and I’m so thankful to have them in our corner, could not recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: Absolute best! Kiddo cracked last baby molar in half and couldn’t eat. Got us in first thing in the morning and Dr. John extracted it with zero discomfort. Incredibly kind and competent. They are extremely respectful to kids and talk them through everything they are doing. Thanks guys!!

Fantastic experience: Been going here for the last 6 years for my son and now my daughter who’s 1 is their newest patient. There are many things I love about this place but what stands out the most is my son’s reaction when ever going or leaving this palace. He’s happy and never concerned of any pain. Always enjoys his time with his doctor and they always throw him a little gift on the way out.

Fantastic experience: I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could! My son (4 years old) actually likes going to the dentist because of his experience here since he was 2. He loves the fish tank when you enter and it gives him something to look forward to seeing right away. The staff is so kind. Every hygienist we’ve had is so gentle and friendly. Dr. Wu is awesome! My son actually references him when he brushes his teeth so we make Dr. Wu proud with our good brushing! My son also loves the tv in the ceiling so he has a solid distraction during the cleaning. He doesn’t even complain about the x ray process because they are so good and gentle. He loves the prize wall at the end of the visit and the photo booth to show off his nice smile. This place is the best.

Fantastic experience: We love coming here. We have been going here for 6-7 years now. We had different insurance for a bit and I could not wait to switch back to go back. The place is immaculate/clean and the people are always so great with the kids. We originally saw a different doctor here and loved him. Now see both Dr. De Lorme and Wu and they are equally amazing. They didn’t skip a beat. They tells us what to expect and have a plan. We always leave knowing where we are at. Wondering how the kids can go here forever :) Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: We love south OC dentistry! The staff is so friendly and helpful and everything runs on time. Changing appointments is a breeze The hygienists were super gentle and great at explaining what was going on to my 3 year old son. It was our third visit but first real cleaning today and I think my son could have laid there all afternoon while his teeth were brushed, examined, scraped and polished- he was so relaxed and at ease! I also credit you guys for my son not having any cavities yet because you have trained me on how to properly care for his teeth at home. Thank you Dr John and staff! Fantastic experience: If you have kids and want the absolute best care they can get, then you’ve found your pediatric dental practice. We saw Dr. John De Lorme and he was fantastic! The first thing he said was that our goal (his and mine) is to make sure my two boys never have cavities and have healthy smiles for the rest of their lives. I immediately appreciated him and felt like we were in the right place. He was thorough in everything we discussed; educated me in how to ensure my boys are set up for success and was incredible with my sons (3 year old and 17 month old). Dr. John didn’t make us feel rushed, he answered every question, and made us feel right at home. The boys loved him and the time spent there was very productive. The staff was thoughtful and so kind toward my children/us. They too, answered every question and made us feel extremely comfortable. Every moment, since scheduling the appointment to the very end of our visit was a well thought out experience without a detail overlooked. I’m so grateful to have found the right and the best doctor for our sons. I’m very particular when it comes to medical providers and dentists and I’m not always easy to impress (as my husband says) but I was truly blown away with this office and the care Dr. John provided. It is evident he sincerely cares about his patients and loves what he does! Call them now and schedule the appointment. You won’t find another practice like South OC Pediatric Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Had a mishap over the weekend, called into the emergency number and Dr Wu called me back within minutes and provided us guidance that helped put our mind at ease. Further, his staff found some time for us to come in the next morning to get a chipped tooth looked at. His attentiveness and approach was very much appreciated - your kids would be lucky to have him and his staff as their dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wu is one of the best pediatric dentists I’ve come across. His bedside manner is incredible, my children are always excited to go to the dentist. We’ve been so impressed that despite moving to north OC, we still drive down for our appts. Definitely a keeper!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love this place. I have been taking my kids here for 8 years. My younger one now 14 is one of the most difficult patients because of being severely autistic. Over years everyone from staff and doctor have gone above & beyond to help him ease. Even though our insurance no longer covers this office but we won’t change it for the world because of how they care for my autistic child. We had our 6 months checkup couple of days ago & I couldn’t believe how they have earned my son trust. He sat without fighting, let the cleaning be done to perfection, and above all he let them do multiple x-rays. This is something that has not happened for years. This is the same child that in another dentist office they can’t even get him sit down. This successful visit could not have possibly happened if it wasn’t for the amazing, kind, and selfless Ms Bree who build such trust with him. I am wholeheartedly grateful & recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: My kids have been patients at South OC Pediatric Dentistry since 2018—we drive from Riverside County because it's THAT good! The staff is amazing: kind, knowledgeable, and they treat everyone like family. A local dentist (due to an insurance hiccup) was a huge mistake; my kids begged to go back to Dr. Delorme. He's fantastic with kids, explains everything clearly, and is super honest—no unnecessary work! His goal is healthy smiles, just like ours. We love South OC Pediatric Dentistry so much, our newborn is a patient now too! (And I even recreated my daughter's first appointment photo eight years later!)

Fantastic experience: I truly can’t say enough amazing things about this dental office. We had an after-hours emergency, and their team immediately sprang into action. Within minutes, Dr. Wu personally called me, reviewed pictures of my 2.5 year old son’s tooth, and helped us create a thoughtful plan to keep him comfortable and cared for through the weekend until he could be seen in person. Once we arrived at the office, we were completely blown away. Every single detail was meticulously thought through—from the sparkling clean environment to the warm and welcoming staff. They found a movie my son loved, helped ease his nerves in the chair, and went above and beyond to make the entire experience positive. They took time to explain how to best care for him post-extraction, offered clear guidance on future dental hygiene, and even provided fun little toys that brought a big smile to his face. Coming from a dental family, we tend to be pretty particular about the care we receive—but this office far exceeded our expectations. Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail were unmatched. Hands down the best dental office we could be at. So grateful we found them!

Fantastic experience: We are NYers who had a dental emergency (broken front tooth) and were recommended to Dr Wu from this office and just WOW! Not only did Dr Wu called us back within 10min of leaving a message at 7pm on the night of the incident, but was able to squeeze us the next morning in his very busy schedule and fix the broken tooth! Needless to say that we are stunned that we were able to have this kind of service so far from home and are happy that we’re referred to call this office. Thank you to the whole office to make this experience so seamless and special shout-out to Dr Wu for being incredibly empathetic and helpful in this situation!

Fantastic experience: We were referred over by our family dentist for my son. Since the initial contact after setting up my son's appointment to what to expect prior to the visit to the actual visit was an ease and very professional. Made me feel welcomed and valued. Even though I didn't take my son to the the actual consultation. Per his dad's experience the doctor was thorough and really explained what was of urgency and what could be managed with a few extra steps on our end. Overall the experience was been pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love and Recommend OC pediatric Dentist. Dr. John is incredibly patient, positive, and professional. Their dental office is clean, well lit, welcoming and friendly. My toddler loves getting to pick a fun toy and stickers after a visit and we look forward to the Photo Booth! We had a hard time fully trusting a dentist to work on our sons cavities, but with Dr. John we knew he was in the absolute best hands!

Fantastic experience: Dr. De Lorme is the best pediatric dentist out there. Not only was he my childhood dentist but I now bring my three young daughters to him. He is thoughtful, kind, and always gentle. My girls love going to the dentist which is quite a statement. The office is clean, the staff is charismatic, and every detail is thought of.

Fantastic experience: We took our three year-old daughter here for her first dental visit and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They took us right back without any wait time. The dental hygienist then took us to the wall of toys and told my daughter she would get to pick a prize when they were all finished, which made my daughter excited to get started! She then took us to the exam area, where each dental chair has its own TV and she put on my daughter‘s favorite movie to make her feel more comfortable. She was extremely gentle with my daughter during the cleaning and the x-ray process, talking with her the entire time, explaining what she was doing. The doctor then came in, he was very nice and knowledgeable and recommended the most conservative treatment possible and did not try to push unnecessary procedures. We were not even there a full hour, which was amazing for a cleaning and X-rays. My daughter then chose her prize and the whole family was offered a free photo booth picture to commemorate the occasion. This place is one of a kind and I couldn’t recommend it more. I also really liked that my husband and I were included in every step of the process and we’re able to stay by my daughter’s side the entire time. My daughter can’t wait for her next visit to the dentist and I am so grateful to them for giving her this wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: **Update 6/24/2025 I continue to sing the praises of the entire staff. In a chat at the dentist yesterday, we realized most of the assisting staff changed out (what do you expect after 20yrs). My oldest used to need me in the room, helping him make it thru. Yesterday was an example of how comfortable he is. I stayed in the waiting room as he advocated for himself for his comfort needs. Every hygenist there is fantastic with him and he can go to anyone now. Dr DeLorme and Dr Wu have watched my boys grow helped them navigate toddler thru young adult. Dr DeLorme had to give a pep talk on flossing and I can say, today he is making sure we get his flossing done because he doesn't want a cavity. You can't go wrong with either dentist. When one is out, the other is fully knowledgeable about my sons history. I love them all. The entire team is always amazing. Every person from the time I walk in with my boys is so caring. Having 2 children on the autism spectrum can make a dentist visit terrifying. Not here. My boys have been going since they were 2yrs old and although accommodations are available for their sensory needs, the team has worked so well with the boys we don't even have to make changes that we used to. I love that my boys are excited to go see Dr. John and Dr, Wu.... Great job

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sam and his staff were wonderful. Very kind and hospitable. He did a great job educating me and giving me techniques for an easier time brushing my son‘s teeth. He was also very understanding to my desire to abstain from using fluoride toothpaste with my son.He recommended it, but was very good about not being pushy and he respected my decisions. He offered an alternative fluoride, free toothpaste. All of his staff were very sweet and were great with my son. Office is clean, spacious, with up-to-date technology, friendly staff, kind, informative providers, and they run on-time! While these attributes should be expected, they are often not the norm. We are continually impressed and highly recommend South OC Pediatric Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: The entire experience from the moment we walked in the door was fantastic! My autistic son was a little nervous for his first visit but the big tank and seeing his name on the welcome sign made him at ease. The staff was all so nice and patient with him. Stephanie explained to him every step and every tool they used. It was such a great experience for both of us. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to others.

Negative experience: I originally left this review here because when searching for Dr. Christopher Carillo, this office appeared as one of his associated locations. If he left in 2023, I appreciate the clarification. However, I noticed that his name is still listed on your own website as a provider. If he is no longer working here, I encourage the office to update this information so parents are not misled when researching their child’s care. My experience with Dr. Carillo at Scott Fishman, DDS in Downey, CA was serious enough that I filed a formal complaint with the California Dental Board. Parents deserve to know if a provider they are considering has worked at multiple locations and should be able to make fully informed decisions. While my review is not meant as a reflection of this entire office, I believe it is important to raise awareness about the providers who have been associated with different practices. I encourage parents to always research their providers thoroughly and to know that if something goes wrong, they have the right to file a formal complaint beyond just leaving a review. Every child deserves a provider who prioritizes their care, safety, and emotional well-being.

Fantastic experience: I love this office and Dentist! Great office staff and amazing dentist. I have had a hard time finding the perfect fit for my children and this office checks all the boxes. They made my kids feel comfortable and confident which was great to see!

Front staff are exceptional to welcoming you and help you for easy check in and scheduling process. Dental Hygienists are highly trained and so patient with kids. Environment is beautiful and well set for children. Dr De Lorme is one of the best dentist that any child can have. So caring and knowledgeable. Always Explains all the dental care plan to my children in details and encouraging them in a pleasant language that can be understood and absorbed. Fantastic experience: South OC Pediatric Dentistry is the best! They take their time with each of my kids to make sure they are comfortable, which sometimes means many breaks or being flexible with how my kids sit! Today they even sewed up my kids stuffy that had a hole when she was upset about it! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We are always well taken care of at South OC Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. The entire staff are top notch in service and always so warm and inviting. Wonderful team and so good with children. Highly recommend for both dental work and Dr. Carter for Orthodontics is awesome as well. Dr. Delorme is an Oasis fan so we love that too.

Fantastic experience: This is the same practice I went to as a kid and have been taking my kids here for 9 years. They love going to the dentist and when we walked out today said, "that was fun- everyone there is always so nice!" They make it so fun and not scary and I love their conservative approach to dentistry! 12/10 recommend! I've sent all my friends here!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend South OC Pediatric Dentistry. My daughter has been patient of Dr. Wu for over 10 years. The entire team and practice is amazing. They are very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and compassionate. The office has beautiful fish tank as well as games and photo booth to entertain little ones while waiting. Dr. Wu and his team cares for your child's dental health and they are absolutely the best pediatric dentistry in South OC.

Fantastic experience: The team at South OC Pediatric Dentistry is amazing! I was looking for a new dentist for my 4 year old daughter and she was literally skipping and giddy in the parking lot out of excitement to go to the dentist. While there, she had her dental cleaning and x-rays done by Veronica with an x-ray discussion with Dr. John, and both were amazing, patient, and thorough. Everyone my daughter interacted with made the experience comfortable and fun, while being educational. My daughter has been so excited to floss her teeth everyday after getting encouragement from the team during her dental appointment. I am looking forward to my daughter continuing to see the team at South OC Pediatric Dentistry moving forward. I wish dentist offices were this fun when I was a kid or even this fun as an adult!

These people truly understand that being a pediatric dentist requires more than a treasure chest. Love these guys! 2 yr old and 9yr old boys don’t mind going to the dentist! Woot!

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by friends for a second opinion regarding my son’s dental work. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming and friendly, we felt very comfortable. Nick took x- rays and was gentle and knew how to help my son feel at ease in the panoramic x ray machine. Dr. John was incredibly kind, knowledgable and very patient with my son. We will be back again soon and Dr. John will be our new pediatric dentist moving forward! Yay, we found our dentist!!!!

Fantastic experience: We are so fortunate to have Dr John Delorme as our children's dentist. He is so thorough and personable it makes my boys look forward to their dental appointments. His hygienists are gentle and do a great job encouraging my kids to be diligent about brushing. His front office and check out staff is efficient and makes the process of scheduling and billing super easy. We love South OC pediatric dentistry and would and have suggested them to anyone who asks.
