First Class Pediatric Dentistry

Fantastic experience: My kids and I absolutely love this office! From the check-in and playful waiting area to the hygienist and Dr. T himself! My wife scheduled the appointment for all three children, which are ages one, eight, and 12. They were all able to be seen at the same time. Everyone was so nice, accommodating and professional. Much to my surprise my children actually want to go back to the dentist. Lol! I am very surprised to see some of the comments in the rating when coming onto to provide our review. We have definitely found a dental home for our children.

Positive experience: I appreciate Dr.T and his staff for providing services to patients and for their kindness in person and via text or email.

Negative experience: We've had a mixture of good and not so good interactions at this dentist office. The staff that I've encountered are pretty friendly and helpful. However, during our last visit I requested no flouride be used on my toddler's teeth and it seemed to be a request respected by the hygentist. She was nice about it but, when Dr. T arrived to exam my son's mouth and learned of the request. He seemed combative towards me because of my choice to forego the treatment. It made me a bit upset that he would display that energy. He's my child and it's my right to opt out of any services that I deem not fit for him. No means No, period. Also, they overcharged me TWICE for each visit leaving an account credit of almost $100. And, I only learned of this by asking for an itemized bill. This is not ok.

Fantastic experience: This experience was so completely healing for me. I've had too many bad experiences as a kid and as and adult with dental offices. This practice has shown me just what a good, fun, safe and engaging dental practice looks like. The staff were so so so friendly, and understanding and the doctor is absolutely hilarious and super engaged with the kiddos. Their waiting area is the opposite of boring with books, games and tv to help pass time. Everything was am 11/10 experience. 6 out of 5 stars. Thank you to the staff for helping start my kids' dental experiences as super fun and wanting to come back.

Fantastic experience: This review is a 5 star but I wanna add an additional 15 stars cuz first class pediatric dentistry be bussin!...lol they took very good care of my child who is special needs and he went though his cleaning and tooth extraction procedure without major intervention from me to get it done. Kudos to the staff...very kind and professional.

Fantastic experience: Update 8/30/2025 My son’s dentist, Dr. T, is absolutely amazing! Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he also has a great sense of humor that makes every visit less stressful and even fun for my son. He takes the time to explain what’s going on in a way that both parents and kids can understand, which really puts us at ease. The whole office has a welcoming and friendly vibe, and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. My son always leaves with a smile, which says a lot about the kind of care Dr. T provides. We’re so grateful to have found such a fantastic dentist highly recommend! My son's orthodontist Dr. Pinder and her hygienist Chinenye are absolutely wonderful! They are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and understanding. At my son’s recent appointment, they noticed he was missing some of the harder-to-reach spots when brushing, and instead of just pointing it out, they took the extra time to gently re-teach him the proper technique. I really appreciated how kind and encouraging they were it made him feel supported rather than embarrassed. The whole experience felt personalized and caring, which is rare to find. It’s clear they truly care about their patients’ long-term dental health, not just the treatment at hand. My son left feeling more confident about his brushing, and I left feeling grateful knowing he’s in such good hands. Highly recommend Dr. Pinder and her team for anyone looking for an orthodontist who goes above and beyond!

Even when we encountered some insurance issues (since they went out of network with my little brother’s previous plan), their team was incredibly helpful and supportive! We were able to switch to a plan they are in-network with, and everything went smoothly from there. Nicole has been absolutely amazing - so attentive, kind, and always looking out for our family. We’re truly grateful for her care and dedication. Cameka, our dental hygienist, is fantastic as always, and Dr. T is simply outstanding. The way this practice cares for children, especially those with special needs, is exceptional. We feel so lucky to have found such a compassionate, professional, and skilled dental team. Fantastic experience: My daughter absolutely loves visiting this dentist office. The hospitality and kindness of the nurses and doctors make her feel so welcome and cared for. Negative experience: My 5 year old did not cooperate with the laughing gas so they insisted on sedating her OR taking her to a different dentist because "some times a change of scenery can help". I called back a few weeks later to let them know that my 5 year old would like to try the laughing gas 1 more time and they flat out refused and said their only option was sedation so I did what was recommended by the dentist and scheduled her an appointment at a different dentist office. I then got notice a few weeks later that my family had been "dismissed" from the practice. I called to get some sort of explanation but apparently no one has an explanation except for the doctor himself who coincidentally is never in the office when I call. We have never missed an appointment. We have never been late. We do not owe any outstanding balances. I do not believe we deserved to be dismissed because I took the dentist's recommendation and took my 5 year old somewhere else because they REFUSED to give her a 2nd chance at laughing gas. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very patient! My 6 yr old love going to this office (mostly for the toy ). I like that they are kind, patient and explain things to myself and daughter. We will keep going.

Though one child has had to get multiple cavities filled by Doctor Tewogbade they made the experience fun for the little patient. Dr. “T” was incredibly knowledgeable, charismatic and careful. The procedure went great and they treated my kid with first class service. Both kiddos left the dentist smiling!

Fantastic experience: Dr. T and the staff at First Class is truly AMAZING! When you first walk in the door, it is evident that they want to make sure kids have a great experience at the dentist. They have retro video games, kid friendly movies and music playing and the staff greets you with a smile. Additionally, Dr. T and staff are SO patient and kind to the kids and very thorough with the parents. My middle son was always terrified of the dentist before coming here, but now, he comes in AND out with a smile (and a nice smile at that). Fantastic experience: I have been with Dr. T since he was in Lithonia. I started with one child and now all three love him. My travel time has more than doubled but it’s so worth the drive.

Negative experience: My kids have been going to Dr T since they were about 3-4 yrs old. Almost every 6-8 months of their lives as they are now teens. Never had a issue until now. My daughter had one light cavity (he showed me on the X-ray). he said schedule to have it filled. He then said she had 2 teeth that almost was a cavity and offered to put “diamond covers” over my daughters “ cavity for $800 co pay. If she has a “almost” forming cavity, why on earth would I wanna cover them with anything so that bacteria can seep through. probably accelerating the cavity to form. Only to take them off then pay for fillings. Don’t you think she’d need fluoride, better eating/drinking habits or a light filling at the most? When he told me this about the “diamond covers”..I shook my head yes like Craig’s mom from Friday did to Ms. Parker…”OKAYYY” but yea no thanks. He’s never tried me like this before in 15+ yrs he was very nervous to verbally deliever his sale tactic for the “ diamond cover”. His behavior and body language stood out a lot this particular day..and for some reason, I knew this wouldn’t be the end of it. Long story short, after filling 1 light cavity.. Which was around $95ish for pediatric dental fillings when they are light cavities..no more than $110. I paid it before services. They contacted me a month or two later by email saying I now owe $400 for just the light 1 cavity fill in on a 13 year old. This prompted a call to my insurance, and they discovered that the dental office had a field day!!! They put root canal codes, put my daughter on un necessary laughing gas without informing me of anything until I got the bill. My insurance company said I owe them nothing and not to pay them one red cent. Before contacting my insurance , I tried to understand where the additional charges came from with the receptionist. I have it all in email, she steady trying to hustle with no remorse guilt or nothing. Even after the fraud case was opened up against them from my insurance company, they still kept sending me a bill…the audacity!! They had the nerve to increase the bill months later!!! I politely asked Nicole Butler to stop emailing me bills and forward it to my insurance company. She refused then said she’s going to forward it to collections..the fraud of it all. Because of age, They told me to take my older teens to a place recommended by them called Transcendental off highway 78 and Rockbridge rd right next to the LA fitness. I believe they move similar to this place financially. I’ll leave a review for them as well. I Recently met a client who said she got hustled from 1st class too. Go at your own risk…Double check the codes with your insurance after each appointment no matter wherever you go for medical services to make sure your not being overcharged. Don’t fall for the okie doke. Ask all questions in writing through email for documented proof…Get a second opinion. This makes 3 black owned dental offices in this area that tried and some did hustle me in 2024. I’m officially done leaving my medical for my family and I in anyone’s hands around here. 2 stars because the service was great for years but to end like this is terrible. I thought my kids would grow out of coming here. Never thought I’d be forced to leave or pay the price type energy. wow just wow nobody cares anymore only care about money.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best pediatric dental experience I’ve ever had. My kids are autistic and require a little extra care and patience. Their previous dentist basically gave up on them and didn’t care about their wellbeing. Dr. T and his entire staff were polite, patient, caring and most of all respectful and professional. I’m so used to having to give a run-down on my babies as to how to handle with care. They were so good with them that even my little one gave one of the staff a hug. That’s huge. They were able to get clean x-rays for my eldest the first time. That’s very been possible before. That’s phenomenal. The facility is also spotless as well. I can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I simple loved the first visit there with my grandson. I was put at ease at the front desk with patience and kindness. The doctor's assistant was so informative and encouraging, in saying, that my, not so cooperative 2 1/2 year old, grandson's behavior was perfectly normal. She was able to get the job done, through his screams and all. Dr. T came in so relaxed and patient. He explained everything clearly to me, and I was able to inform my daughter of what we needed to do before our next visit. Fantastic experience: Today was our first visit and we were completely blown away with how kind everyone was. This was our son’s first dental appointment and he immediately felt comfortable. You can tell this team is experienced with working with children. The reception area is very kid friendly and inviting. This will definitely be my son’s dentist going forward.

Negative experience: This was my second time at this facility. The first visit went smoothly. Today was a nightmare. Our appointment was 9am. I made arrangements for my daughter to arrive late to her camp and me to work. We got to the office early 835 with hopes of getting seen early, but also knowing there are games/books/movies so it would be ok. We checked in and they immediately took my self payment. We waited and waited 9am came and went. By 920 all the children than came in after us with the same appointment time had been called (older and able to wait better than a 4 year old). I went and checked on our status and was told we were next. By 930 I was ready to leave. I asked for a refund on my payment and the staff at the desk told me to have a seat and the clinical manager would come talk to me. 940 came and I went back to the desk after yet another person waiting who came in wayyyyyyyy after us had been called back to be seen. I told her to figure out how to refund me at this point I’m being held there because they were keeping my money with no communication as to why we were still waiting. She figured it out. We left. Very upset. Disrespect of people’s time is a HUGE no for me. I work healthcare too so I get it that things happen , but this is not how you deal with people, especially small children. The clinical manager called me and apologized on our drive away for the lack of communication regarding understaffing. I appreciated that, but everyone with the same appointment as us getting called back first/withholding a refund/having us wait in office to speak to her and no one coming to speak with us was unacceptable. Maybe if the girl had said “oh I see you’re early for your appointment I just want you to know we’re running 45min behind schedule” and we could’ve decided to stay or leave based on that…..I don’t know. I feel crummy and disrespected especially for my 4 year old who we had prepped for her visit and got nothing done after bei n there for close to and hour and a half.

Negative experience: This office is anything but first class. I have seen this office grow over the past 20years but the last few years have been anything but classy. The current office manager and front office staff are very unprofessional, rude, unorganized and are running this place into the ground. If you can get passed them Dr. T is one of the best Pediatric dentist in the area.

Negative experience: Had an appointment for my 3 year old. Had to bring her little sister along. Waited 1 hour for a 10 minute rushed appointment. No part of today’s session felt “first class”. I’m a seasoned healthcare worker, so I understand delays + staffing shortages or whatever else the excuse is. But in running a business, top notch customer service is essential. Nobody popped into our room to give us a heads up re: the incredibly long delay. Staff made eye contact with us and walked right past. No sort of explanation was given except “new appointments take a long time because of paperwork”. Which doesn’t make a lot of sense given that I completed 85% of the paperwork online? Remainder 15% couldn’t be submitted because of this practice’s poor user interface + digital glitches, so filled out remainder paperwork in person… consuming probably 3 extra minutes. Kids are not supposed to understand patience, especially my older one with special needs. A pediatric facility should probably learn to understand the needs of a pediatric population. I’m not one to write reviews, but today I was highly irritated. Kind lady at the checkout counter reassured me this won’t happen again. Willing to give this place another shot given that it’s located 5 seconds from my house + our first 2 sessions for my younger one went smoothly. Otherwise, pediatric dental facilities come a dime a dozen.

Fantastic experience: This dentist office is great! Cameka is awesome and really made my girls' first ever dentist visit super comfortable. You'd never know it was their first time due to how calm she kept them.

Negative experience: This office used to excel before transitioning to Gwinnett. However, since the change, the staff's demeanor shifted negatively, especially towards me because my children are covered by Medicaid. While Dr. T, the dentist, remains excellent, I wish he was aware of his staff's behavior towards patients. Despite attempting to address the issue, their response was dismissive, with staff members even laughing while taking my contact information. Proceed with caution; while the dentist is commendable, the staff's conduct leaves much to be desired

Fantastic experience: My 3 girls love it, they are always excited to come. The entire staff is great! Excellent customer service, Extremely knowledgeable, patient and great with kids. The video games,Books, and little dance floor thing is a great way to keep the kids busy while waiting to be seen.

Fantastic experience: EVERYONE IN Dr. T'S OFFICE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My boys are 10 and 13 and have becoming since they were toddlers.Dr. T is awesome, great with children and teens, a perfectionist, highly knowledgeable and dedicated!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. T is extremely warm, informative, and demonstrates care and concern for my children. His staff is equally cordial. You can tell and feel that they all love their jobs. I'm so glad I switched to First Class Pediatric Dentistry. Whomever rates this practice less than 5, has a problem and miserable in life.

Negative experience: The people that work here are lovely however their daily procedures leave something to be desired. I took two of children here today for a 1030 appt. Wait wasn’t too bad at 15 minutes after my scheduled appt. Then we were pretty much assisted right away with their cleaning. The real issue was the 30 minute wait for the dr when I repeatedly told them I had another appt. The visit prior they actually forgot about my daughter in the back for almost an hour. Two times is shame on me. Then later this afternoon I get a phone call in regards to my new son’s insurance, apparently he’s not on there. So I’m getting a call the day before the appointment at 430 pm to have me verify it. Mind you they wouldn’t call to check if he was even knowing it’s a new year and portals aren’t reflecting everything yet. Professional procedures need updating along with the portal apparently

Fantastic experience: Marquita is extremely sweet kind and knowledgeable. I know that everytime my children go get there teeth looked at that I don’t have to worry about any rudeness or anything. My daughter loves coming there just to see her. Thank you Marquita

Fantastic experience: My first son, who is now 18 years old, has been seeing Dr. T since he was 5 years old. Now my 6 year old son sees Dr. T. Dr. T is phenomenal! He is great with children of all ages! Today, Lexy was our hygienist. I absolutely loved her! She was very professional and engaging! Her positive energy was very warm and inviting! She definitely appears to be walking in her calling! I will be requesting her to be my son's hygienist every time he has an appointment! Beautiful inside and out, she's making those dental trips a breeze for the little ones. Her vibe is 100% real, turning the dentist's office into a chill and positive spot. Fantastic experience: First class pediatric dentistry was an incredibly great experience. From scheduling, to check in and check out, every step of the way was easy and quick. The hygenist, Lexi, xray tech, Alicia and Dr.T were informative, patient and made the experience extremely comfortable. I could not be more impressed with the service and I highly recommend. Nicole ensured that my son was comfortable ahead of his procedure and made sure all my questions related to billing were answered. After my appointment Nicole followed up with me, and ensured I was at ease as I had many questions on the after care. Fantastic experience: We love First Class Dentistry! From the front desk to Doctor T. But Adaisha puts the icing on the cake for me! My son is on the spectrum and nervous by nature. She was patient, calm and overall really nice. She made the visit a breeze. I appreciate her professionalism and informing me about each step during the crown procedure. I would highly recommend First Class Dentistry.

Negative experience: Absolute worst experience today after over 4 years of being patients with this dentist. Will never return and will never recommend this dentist to anyone else. They were sedating my 3 year old with iv sedation this morning. We arrived at 6:45, sat for over 2 hours before they finally came to get my son to start his iv and I was told I was hot allowed to be present for the iv being placed in his arm. They then tried to tell me this was standard procedure for any dentist or hospital but I have been present at the hospital for every one of my children to get an iv and was present for my other child to get oral sedation while the medication was being administered. Also my mom was present every time I received an iv as a child. Ridiculous. 100% do no recommend this dentist at all.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Camera was our nurse today and she did an excellent job. She was very friendly and caring towards my son. He did a cleaning today and his teeth are so white. Thank you Ms. Cameka.

Fantastic experience: Well, for one thing, I must say, Cameka was an awesome hygienist to my children. They were very fearful, but she reinforced them with the comfort and and reassurance that everything will be OK. She also made me feel like they were in good hand explaining everything she did. All I can say she is god sent and one of the main reason to come back!!

Fantastic experience: Very good experience. It was my sons first time and they were super patient and easy going with him. The hygienist was very sweet as well as the lady who took his X-ray pics. It took a little to get in at our appt but they have plenty of books to keep you occupied. Highly recommend for professionalism and cleanliness. My son was terrified and as you can see, he was smiling the entire time.

They even work well with special needs children. I am very impressed with First Class and would recommend them for dental service for your children every and any time. Fantastic experience: It was my 3 year old toddler’s first dentist visit and they did such an amazing job at making his visit enjoyable and fun! The dental hygienist Cameka really made the experience special and kept my toddler laughing throughout his time in the chair. I thought he was going to give everyone hell :) Happy mommy and happy little one! Will be back for his regular dental needs. Also, The TV on the ceiling and the token at the end was an amazing touch!

Fantastic experience: We love it here! I started taking my boys to Dr. T when his office was in Lawrenceville, I was so happy to hear that an office opened in Snellville, closer to our home. The entire trip is always a breeze, everyone is nice and enjoyable. Dr. T is fun, helpful and thorough. I highly recommend First Class Pediatric Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr. T and his office! My son has been going for atleast 15 years. He's so comfortable with him, I'm not sure how he feels about turning 18 and leaving his care. I'm surely sad about the upcoming fate. If you're looking for a dentist for your kids. Look NO FURTHER, this is where you need to be.
