Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Havre de Grace

Negative experience: It is the worst dentist office imaginable. They will give you procedures costs and make you pay them later come back and charge you over double what they told it was going to cost after it is done and you can’t refuse or shop the service elsewhere. They bill insurance incorrectly and you will be stuck doing all the work to get it correct. They have canceled appointments for my kids with no notice and I have missed worked for nothing. Avoid this place!

Fantastic experience: We couldn't be happier with the orthodontic care our son received here! From the initial consultation through the entire treatment process, the staff was professional, friendly, and made every visit comfortable. They took the time to explain each step of the treatment plan and always answered our questions thoroughly. The results speak for themselves - his teeth look absolutely fantastic! The transformation has been incredible, and his confidence has really grown along with his smile. The office runs smoothly, appointment times are respected, and everyone genuinely seems to care about their patients. Both of my daughters go here, and every visit reminds me why we chose them in the first place. Negative experience: My toddler’s teeth are loose due to an accident she had. The doctor saw her and was ready to dismiss us within a minute or two. She gave us no recommendations on how to clean her teeth, no steps to follow, and no medication to prevent infection. I had to keep asking again and again while she clearly looked like she was in a rush to leave the room. After insisting, I had to convince her to prescribe something to prevent an infection in my child’s wounds. I also had to ask for X-rays, I HAD TO ASK!! Her response was, “I mean, we could try, but your daughter doesn’t look like she’s going to tolerate it.” That is unacceptable. It is the doctor’s responsibility to recommend necessary procedures. If my child cannot tolerate them, that’s understandable, we could try again later or make another appointment. But not even suggesting X-rays because my child was crying in pain and discomfort? Absurd. After she left the room, I called my best friend, who is a dentist (she lives in another state, otherwise we would not be writing this review). She said this doctor should have at least ordered X-rays to check whether the roots were damaged. My mother also called her retired dentist friend, and she said the exact same thing: X-rays are the bare minimum in this situation. To make things worse, this “doctor” even looked up the guidelines online in front of me. Completely unprofessional. I already sought a second opinion locally, and surprise, they also said my daughter needs X-rays. This was a complete waste of time and money. I would never trust this doctor with my child’s care again.

Positive experience: Overall the experience was good I've been here for a while and never had a bad experience until the other day. My son is autistic, It's hard to get him to brush well, And also hard to get him to stop eating certain things. Everybody was really nice except one Staff member in the back she stood in the back shaking Her head the whole time.

Fantastic experience: I was kind of nervous because I had experience an orthodontist office receptionist being rude unprofessional when I called. Main Street was referred to me by someone and I can honestly say when I called all the receptionist that I encountered were amazing. My son had his first appointment on Tuesday and I couldn't had made a better choice.

I bought my twin sons here for their first appointment Staff was so friendly and amazing and so welcoming perfect kid friendly office. The staff was very patient and gentle with my twins . The office is very clean and a lovely atmosphere. I’m so grateful for the care they provided and highly recommend this office to any parent with young children! Fantastic experience: My daughter got braces in August of 2024. It was supposed to be an 18 month process but she was done in 14 months and we couldn't be happier!! Her teeth are beautiful! Dr. Branson was so friendly and explained everything in detail. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Negative experience: Our experiences ate with their dental and ortho departments. The receptionists are very unorganized when it comes to scheduling, payments, sending you to the dental side when you are there for ortho. Not telling your child anything during their cleaning and waiting until after the receptionist has scheduled your next cleaning to mention they found a cavity. Getting 2 referrals from 2 doctors regarding the same thing, and they're different. High turnover amongst staff and doctors. I could go on forever

Gabby did such a great job getting images of my stubborn daughter’s smile today. The dental hygienist and doctor are always so patient and caring while using kid language. Fantastic experience: Daughters first filling and went great even turned out better then great it was a good friend of her oldest brother who passed awayy and remember her right away as a baby and she 17 now so she got to even come out very happy with talking to her and recalling good memories of him and asking how her other siblings are doing and she had never met a non family member that ever said anything about her oldest brother they knew so very great and put her such at ease to get filling with the convo !! My kids have been going here for nearly a full decade and if we ever moved I would still travel across the state to bring my kids here, not even kidding. They are especially patient with my son who really struggles at appointments and were fantastic with the pile of complicated paperwork that he came with for the first four years of our visits. My daughter really likes Dr.B, the orthodontist. Honestly the front desk staff especially and literally everyone there are just always so warm and friendly. I always notice that their floors and chairs are very clean.

From the moment we arrived, the front office staff greeted us with their usual warmth and friendliness, instantly helping to ease some of her fears. Once in the treatment room, Dr. Dholakia took the time to explain each step of the procedure, walking my daughter through everything she would be doing from beginning to end. She even let her “eye ball” each instrument before using it, which helped demystify the experience, giving my daughter more confidence and gaining her trust. I watched as my daughter’s tension visibly melted away, and for the first time, she felt truly at ease in a dental chair. The care, patience, and time Dr. Dholakia devoted to my daughter made all the difference—not just for her, but for me as a parent. Fantastic experience: I am a Mother of four children. My youngest son has had extensive work done on 4 teeth this year which maxed out our insurance coverage . He still required a lot more reconstruction on three of his adult teeth . Time restraints required this to be done prior to the next insurance cycle due to the teeth could collapse/ or crack further. My husband and I assessed The cost without insurance and new that this was gonna take the Christmas money we had saved but new this was more important . Devastated we booked the appointment. Well the sweetest lady that worked with the insurance coverage accounts dig deep into our insurance coverage and found that we had a roll over policy that afforded the cost of the repairs down to

Positive experience: I brought my kids and staff was friendly but the environment was fast paced and not really personal. It was also the end of the day so maybe energies were low in the office. I only knew who was who because I asked, otherwise no one really introduced themselves knowing we were new patients. Overall the experience wasn’t terrible, it was just Blah.

Fantastic experience: Staff is and always is friendly and easy to work with. I am a busy mom and with my mom being retired she is able to help take my son to his appointments. I thought I added her as someone who can make decisions about my son’s treatment plans, but my mom was informed she was not. Staff allowed Vincent over the phone for that one time so he didn’t miss his scheduled cleaning. Thank you for all you do to make life easier and pleasant. So glad my son’s last dentist stopped taking his insurance.

Fantastic experience: We had our first visit with Main Street Children's Dentistry yesterday. Our appointment was at 9:30 and my daughter had her xrays, cleaning, and exam and we were out the door in 40 minutes! Every staff member we interacted with was lovely and friendly both in our phone interactions and in person. My daughter is six and was nervous prior to arriving but she laughed and had fun the whole visit thanks to the fun environment and friendly staff! Bri was the technician who did her cleaning and she was so sweet and knowledgeable and explained every step to her which took away all the scary mystery for her. Dr. Dholakia was wonderful- she conversed with my daughter about topics that interested her and my kiddo barely noticed the exam. It was very obvious they truly care for the kids they treat. Highly recommend this practice. We've found our forever dentist for sure!

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. I came in with a concern about my child’s molars. The dentist who came in seemed very frustrated that we don’t use fluoride which is 100% a personal choice. She then proceeded to look at my child’s teeth for maybe 30 seconds, the whole time making comments like “oh wow” and in general just making me feel like the world’s worst parent. Then said she needed to be put under and get metal crowns. She refused to even discuss composite instead of metals when I brought it up she wouldn’t even give me an explanation as to why they couldn’t. As we were checking out another dentist came out of the office and just stood in the hallway glaring at me. They said it would be 8-10 weeks until they even called to schedule a procedure!! We got a second opinion from a dentist who actually took their time, did X-rays, and were very kind to us just to find out my daughter didn’t need crowns and could use composite material to fix her problem teeth, as well as finding the root cause of her tooth issue. This is the worst dentist experience I’ve ever experienced.

Negative experience: Over the last 2 years, we have had a lot of issues. First, we had an appointment scheduled and the day before the appointment they canceled and we had to reschedule, but you still have to wait the 2-3 months for a new appointment. Then, the same thing happened again with the next appointment. We stuck around even after that. Two months ago, I made the appointments for my 2 kids to be seen today and was scheduled for 1230. I show up on time, and there are a few people waiting at the reception desk. The receptionist ends a phone call and helps the person in front of me with scheduling a follow up appointment. While I'm waiting, another woman says, "Is anyone here checking in?" So, I go to her, give her my kids names, which she writes down on a piece of paper with a bunch of other notes scribbled on it and says she will check them in. Then, me and my children wait a half hour and aren't called back. I notice the woman who took our names looks at me from behind the partition and then she says something to the receptionist. The receptionist then asks me if I am waiting on a paitent (like if I had a kid already being seen), when I tell her no and I have been waiting 30 minutes after giving the other woman my name, she asks who the paitent is. I point to my children and say, they are the paitents we had an appointment at 1230. She goes to the back to talk to the other staff to come back out and ask me if I can come back at 2 because now its their lunch hour. When I say no and get up to leave they both just say oh sorry. We will officially now be looking for a new practice to take our children.

Fantastic experience: Main Street dentistry truly provides caring and tender services to little totes, they will ensure that your child is comfortable and happy with their experience while there. They build that lasting relationship with the children that allow them to feel comfortable with the Denist and other practitioners. It is truly a great place to take your child.

Fantastic experience: Dr.O is always patient and understanding with my children which is nice because my boys can tend to be a bit difficult for dental appts as I'm sure most young children are.

Negative experience: Originally gave the star five place but after my experience with my autistic son yesterday, I have to rate this place at one star and I wouldn’t go back. The problem that we occurred should have been avoided being that we’ve been going to this place and getting x-ray for years, but for some reason, no one caught the fact that my son’s adult teeth were coming in as a second row of teeth And failed to do anything about it until it was too late. For starters, I came in just for a check up I was within my 15 minute grace period but still have to be scheduled an hour out when the appointment time came. We were waiting for 30 minutes before we were even seen. Then, after reviewing my son’s teeth, they asked if it was OK to pull them out the same day. I told him that I wanted to be present for the teeth pulling, I went to the front desk to pick up the paperwork and as I came back in, they were holding my hysterical son who was screaming down. They didn’t even wait for me. my son is autistic and he has a speech delay he wasn’t even able to speak properly enough to defend himself and ask for them to wait. They completely took advantage of him. They did not care that he was hysterical. They did not wait for the tooth numbing medicine or the laughing gas to take affect. They immediately yanked out his teeth. He’s only an eight-year-old boy and as I’m holding my one year-old son trying to console my son who’s getting his teeth pulled the inconsiderate assistant joyfully asked me if I wanted the teeth and even though I told her no because I’m trying to console my son, she proceeded to ask me two more times until the dentist told her that I did not want the teeth. She seemed to be enjoying the fact that my son was in pain because she showed no compassion or consideration. The whole ordeal had me in such disarray, I literally became lightheaded. I will never come back to this place. The Surgery was unprofessional and rushed. That’s not how you treat children

Negative experience: UPDATE: so...we decided to give this place a 2nd chance after a 2 year hiatus. they claimed my son had 6 cavities that needed taken care of. ok, cool. they said he needed to go under GA and we had to travel to Baltimore to have it done. I had to pay over 800 bucks up front to cover their portion and received an estimate for 3500 bucks that covered the "medical" portion and even mentioned the possibility of extractions. really? for baby teeth? here's the catch...we weren't able to have a consult with their precious, award winning, dentist until the morning of said procedure. that's when the red flags hit me. i followed my gut and pulled the plug and had them refund the money i was "required" to pay a month ahead of the procedure. we took my son to my dentist and they referred us to Silly Smiles in Newark. They only found 3 cavities and took care of them the very same day as his initial consult without any GA. and....it only cost us 480 out of pocket. So...to summarize things...don't go here. run as fast and as far as you possibly can. this place has zero bedside manor, even though they claim to specialize in Pediatrics. they will over charge you and have unnecessary procedures done on your kids to keep their pockets lined. and you can't speak to the dentist in order to ease any concerns. i, honestly, can't believe this place is still operating....unreal. - a very angry father I'm pretty sure our 4yo and 2yo are now traumatized by the dentist office. My 4yo does not like to be poked and prodded...who does? But, this is why I took them to Main Street, as they claimed to specialize in making kids feel comfortable...this couldn't be farther from the truth. My 4yo started to freak out...as expected. The hygienist barely attempted to get him to feel calm before she became visibly frustrated...and the same with the dentist. My wife was with my 2yo and I was with the 4yo...divide and conquer. I was told to go "knee to knee" and instructed to restrain my child as she forced the tooth brush in his mouth and the dentist forced the fluoride in his mouth. I wish I had followed my gut, grabbed my kids and walked out. It was overwhelming. This can't be normal. I've been angry for days, replaying it in my head. Needless to say, we won't be going back....but, hey, at least they were able to bill my insurance.

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasant time at the dental office! I LOVE ALL the ladies at the front desk! The joyful Black Girl Magic has BRIGHTENED the place a little extra. Her smile is infectious and she makes you feel welcomed and valued. Dr O is phenomenal! This has been an AMAZING year having her take care of my daughters oral care. She's attentive, compassionate and you can tell she loves her career choice and her patients. I look forward to my daughters 6 month follow up! MainStreet Dental is family!!

Negative experience: My husband had a bad experience during his visit due to the unprofessional way he I was approached by a Dental Assistant to not accompany our 12 year old daughter to the back treatment room- no ma’am he’s going to have to accompany her anywhere until she becomes an adult- that’s his responsibility as a father- please don’t deny him that cos guess what - you will do the same for yours - she claimed congestion when there was no one back there- & when he reported his experience to the Doctor & manager- they said she was one of their best worker- defending the indefensible is always the beginning of the decline of any business if you care to know-

Fantastic experience: Visited this location for an emergency visit. Had an appointment within 24 hours. The facility is nice, clean, and welcoming. The entire staff very professional, friendly, empathetic, and knowledgeable, on the phone and in person. We were seen by the staff at the appointment time and were very pleased with the service. Would recommend this place for their little one if you’re looking for an overall great service.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very nice and inviting. They made my littles feel comfortable. The dental assistants and the dentists were very informative. Main Street is awesome, my children love them and so do I! Oh and they're very easy to find! Adding on 4/24/25: I LOVE THIS PLACE! My son had to get (what the dentist called cavities) sugar bugs off his teeth. I learned kids under a certain age can't be trusted with a toothbrush . The dentist and the dental assistants made sure I fully understood what was going on and how to avoid this in the future. They treated my family and I like humans and not as if we were stupid. They treated my son as if he were theirs with tough love and awesome encouragement. There are professionals that make you feel like you wish you could just have them in your life forever and this dental facility is just that. Until they tell me that my babies are to old to come here, we will always be here.

Fantastic experience: My grandson has been with Main Street Dental since he cut his first baby teeth! 15 + years. Today's visit was to discuss his need for braces. He doesn't like the gap between his two front teeth. He has always had ample space between all his teeth. Now we wait and see whether insurance will approve them.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful with answering all my questions. Rachel was my baby’s hygienist and Dr. O did my baby’s exam . They were so gentle with baby. Positive experience: Overall it's a nice pediatric dentist. The staff is kind, place is clean. My only issue is where they do routine visits... it's an open area with 4 chairs. Ok that's fine BUT I have 2 kids (4/2yr). I cannot send them in alone like many of the older kids. There is no seating for a parent or sibling. So if the parent is expected to be there to answer questions like confirm the patient, weight, diet, etc. because the child is too small and cannot be seen alone then why not take them to an area fit for multiple members? I can't leave the 4yr old (also waiting to be seen) in the lobby but I also can't leave the 2yr old alone. So we had to awkwardly stand against the wall with very little room do the cleaning. Then moved to a new chair for my daughter, this time standing between her and another chair. Place a few chairs against the wall or take young patients and their parent to an individual room. They also give the kids a prize with a turn-style machine which is cool but both sit in the corner of the already tight room.. move it to the lobby. The kids trying to squeeze by the chairs, not trip over the cords in the ground, and not leave the already tight area doesn't make sense. Post

Fantastic experience: 5 Stars - Exceptional Care for Kids! I couldn’t be happier with our experience at Main Street! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the office had a fun, kid-friendly atmosphere that immediately put my child at ease. Dr. Oladipo is incredibly patient, gentle, and has a way of explaining things in a way that both kids and parents can understand. My child was nervous about their first visit, but the whole team took the time to make them feel comfortable. Dr. Oladipo was great at explaining each step of the process and made sure to keep my child calm and engaged throughout the entire appointment. I also appreciate the great communication about what to expect in terms of oral health and maintenance. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Oladipo and her team to any parent looking for a highly skilled, compassionate pediatric dentist! :)

Fantastic experience: They were so sweet to my daughter who is 5 years old and was so scared. They calmed her by telling her that her tooth was getting a princess crown.

Staff was very friendly, we didn't have a long wait, they are very thorough with the exam as well as explaining the treatment plan, and I observed great interaction with the kids. Negative experience: When we first started visiting this facility my children loved it, I felt comfortable with their level of care, and was thrilled t have found them. I wish I could say the same today. We had had multiple issues with the office giving poor care to our children, being rough with them, workers not giving proper information to parents, the office booking us incorrectly for procedures that we didn't ask for, and the list goes on. We will not be returning to this office due to the lack of care in which they treat children. A children's dentist office should be a place where children feel comfortable, no as if they're on a conveyor belt. For parents who wish to remain with this office, please be sure you go back and keep an eyes on what the office is doing, and asking to do with your children.

Negative experience: I have had constant issues with this facility. They mixed up what appointments we had on multiple occasions. There is no consultation, they are a tooth farm. They want to drill or pull the teeth in order to charge the money, not bothering to look into the best interest of the patient.

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Main Street has been great. I have 2 toddlers aged 4 and 3 and they are always greeted when entering and I love that the team members have conversations with them each time to engage them. Scheduling is hassle free and the Dentist is very professional and responsive to questions and concerns.

Fantastic experience: Had a first time appointment here for my son and daughter. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and professional. Made my kids feel welcomed by interacting with them, asking them questions and talking about Christmas. This is a very good office to take your children. Everyone made my kids feel very comfortable. My kids were very happy with their visits and are excited for their next appointment.

Fantastic experience: Main Street Orthodontics have been great! I love the convenience of location and they have been wonderful to my daughter in this adjustment of new braces. They've fit us in when she's popped a bracket that's painful and talked us through what to do next time.

Positive experience: Loved how patient the dental assistant was with my son. He has some trouble with going to the dentist, but she did very well with him. Even though this is a children’s dentist, I feel like most of the time they don’t have enough patients for kids with disabilities. Luckily, this time went well.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and professional from the front desk ladies to the dental assistants, hygienists and dentist. This is a very good office to take your children. Both the boys were very happy with their visits and are excited for their next appointment which is great to hear a child say!!

Fantastic experience: Both the dentisty and orthodontics sections in HdG are very kind and patient, from reception to doctors. My nephew hadn't had regular check-ups over the years, nor had dental hygiene been made a priority, so when I began taking him here he initially had some difficulties with anxiety and fear. Extra appointments have been scheduled for fluoride treatments and other things to get him accustomed to visiting the dentist, and within 2 years he was comfortably meeting with the orthodontist. He's just begun his journey with getting braces put on, and we look forward to getting continued support from those who work there.

Positive experience: Dr Nicholas Branson , shouldn’t be a pediatric dentist you can truly see when someone is spoon fed there entire life , orthodontist works against you instead of with you , for the money . Tells you to buy different insurance bc you can’t afford 250,000 for braces , and than if you can’t do that he can’t perform an actual surgery that is an emergency untill I can afford braces . When you work with kids I shouldn’t be able to tell that you don’t have any yourself , it defeats the whole purpose of your job . If it weren’t for the actual dentist onoyom onyile I would never return here , he was cut from a diff cloth , I can tell he truly loves what he does and maybe his colleagues should follow his lead ! I see big things ahead in this man’s future . The picture below is the dr I wouldn’t even let my dog go too !

Fantastic experience: I usually enjoy taking my granddaughter here, but this time was different. Her regular doctor was not there and I didn't appreciate this doctor telling my granddaughter that she needed to get wisdom teeth pulled and not involving me in the conversation,I had to get the lady at the desk to go get doctor so she could explain what her findings were she should have come to me in the first place. I did not mean to give 5 stars this time I meant to give 4

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best Dentist I've been too. I've been taking my children there since they were 18 months. They are the most amazing people you could ask for to take care of your children they are so caring, sweet an humble they work amazing with the kids they make a dentist trip so easy and comfortable. Dr. O does such an amazing job definitely when it comes to extracts or anything difficult she makes them so comfortable, painless, and fast. Fantastic experience: I am are very pleased with my son’s orthodontic work. Dr. Branson is amazing and so is his team. My son went from having an underbite to a normal bite and his teeth are now looking amazing. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Unfortunately couldn't get ahold of anyone to reschedule my appointment for my daughter yesterday. Left a voicemail, but still haven't heard back. Hope to soon though! Never had a problem with that staff before..
