Access Point Healthcare: Urgent Care: Reviews
Fantastic experience: We were out of town and received excellent care for our son. We appreciate you!
Fantastic experience: Good morning, my friend told me about your clinic, I am truly grateful seeing you... I have been seeing medical professionals for many years, Thanking you for your knowledge, I actually feel so much better, actually slept throughout the night...with miminum pain. May you continue to demonstrate your ability making your patients feel at ease. May God lead you in all you do. I learned so much in one visit. Have a amazing day.
Fantastic experience: My visit was great, it was quick and the staff and Clinician were amazing!
Fantastic experience: It was great and I'm feeling better already
Negative experience: I'm still in the waiting room. I filled out all my forms online when I made my appt for 9:10. Uploaded insurance card and photo ID. Checked in online once I arrived at 8:59 to which it said "you're all checked in" and prompted me to see my spot in line. Only two people made appt ahead of me. I waited for about 40 minutes when I realized walk ins were being called back before me. So, I went to the front desk and explained that I made an appt online and checked in online and I wanted to make sure I was actually checked in. She gave me paperwork to fill out. When I finished the paper work I asked "even though I made an appointment and filled out everything online beforehand and then checked in online, should I still come up to check in even though it didn't prompt me to". She said "yes we've been telling our manager we need a sign that says even if you checked in online you still have to come to the front desk". Anyway, I got checked in an hour after I checked in online and two walk ins have still gotten in ahead of me. I have yet to be seen, it's an hour AFTER my scheduled appt time. Moral of the story is I'm sure this would've easily been fixed if they had a sign up instructing you aren't actually checked in if you check in online, or if I would've gone up sooner to see what was going on. Everyone has been extra nice, I have no complaints about that. I'm just frustrated that i've waited an hour past my appointment time because of the companies lack of communication. I made an appointment and filled everything out before my appointment because I don't feel good and am trying to be seen sooner rather than later.
Fantastic experience: In and out without any issues whatsoever. The staff was extremely friendly and very very helpful to a new patient. I will definitely use this urgent care again.
Fantastic experience: Super kind and friendly staff. Was in and out quickly. Would highly recommend going there if you are in need of medical help :)

Thank you for your positive review!
Fantastic experience: I was seen quickly for eye pain, and the care was excellent. Caroline was very thorough during the exam and took the time to explain everything clearly. I really appreciated how efficient she was.
Thank you for your positive review! Glad you had a good experience with our office!!
Negative experience: Went in for a piece of debris in my eye. Asked if they did anything with removing debris from eyes and they said yes. So I paid and they took me back First said they didn’t see anything in it. So I showed the lady then she saw it. So they put dye drops to look for abrasions found none then told me they didn’t do anything to take debris out /off of eyes. Have a nice day. But still charged me almost $200. Will definitely never go back or recommend them to anyone for anything
We are looking into this and will update soon.

Fantastic experience: The Nurse Practioner Kayla was top tier. Very professional, very patient and thorough. The entire team was good, quick service, clean facility.
Fantastic experience: Always so convient to go by if I gave a medical issue. Staff is wonderful. Never a long wait
Fantastic experience: Needed a quick check and prescription - from online booking to visit to prescription ready, less than one hour. Awesome!
Fantastic experience: Very friendly, caring and sweet people. Went for urgent care and got exactly what I needed.
Fantastic experience: The experience was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and I was seen very quickly. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and diagnosed me quick. Nurse Alaura also gave me the least painful steroid shot I’ve ever gotten. She was so kind and so gentle and really helped calm my nerves. 10/10 recommend!!!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience with our team. We'll be sure to share your feedback with our team – they’ll be so happy to know they made a difference. We're proud to have caring and skilled staff who go the extra mile to make our patients feel comfortable. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to being here whenever you need us!
Fantastic experience: I very much appreciate this place. They treated my migraine very quickly and accommodated me until I was able to function normally again. Thank you so much. -Catherine R.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Your kind words mean a lot to our team—it’s always rewarding to hear that our staff is making a positive impact.
Fantastic experience: Prompt and professional care by a professional staff. I was impressed.
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're glad to hear you were impressed with the prompt and professional care you received. Our team works hard to provide a smooth and positive experience for every patient.
Positive experience: Front desk needs some serious training on how to act like you wanna keep your job, but the real staff was amazing. I tried to do the check in before you come in but they never looked on their computers to check for anyone so 30 min later I walked in with my mask on, front desk girl said what are you here for. I said I have covid and I need help. She snarled at me, said scan this and fill out this and wait until I call you. I said yes ma'am. I did what she asked, 45 min later I was taken to a room, got a steroid shot and a $1798. prescription for a medicine they said may be too late to help me and I went home. That was my visit. Lol.
Good evening,
I’m sorry to hear that the front desk treated you so poorly. We will speak with them regarding this matter. However, with regards to COVID and it being a virus there isn’t much to offer. However, Paxlovid is the treatment but we are unsure why insurances don’t want to cover. Regardless I hope you feels better and your symptoms resolve completely.

Fantastic experience: NP Brieanne is so caring. I had a female bacterial infection and she was so calming and professional. Highly recommend seeing her.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about one of our providers. We're so glad she was able to provide compassionate and professional care when you needed it most. Your recommendation means a lot to us!
Fantastic experience: I don't remeber docs name but with what I told her and her responses was one of the best. She handled it with the upmost care and I hope she continues to provide that care with everyone no matter the situation. I haven't ever went to a doc with my problems due to the way I was brought up and for her to be that passionate about the job. When she does fix my issues I will forever be grateful for these people.
Positive experience: Everyone was very supportive and caring! Was seen right away since my husband booked a time. Had to wai a little while in exam room, but I think only because they had to coordinate who was going to do what. Even antibiotic shot I was given was fairly quick and painless!
Fantastic experience: Quick , need exactly what I need !!! Would recommend because they were open on a holiday!!!!
Positive experience: Receptionist were not friendly and seemed bothered when checking in. Wait time was quick and so was patient assessment.
Fantastic experience: We would highly recommend using this business. The entire experience from check-in through checkout was very easy. The staff were really attentive.
Fantastic experience: They were very helpful and listened to me explaining my symptoms. Took great care of me
Fantastic experience: Staff is so friendly. I was seen promptly
Fantastic experience: I have had a terrible cough and congestion for 3 days now’s it’s Sunday Memorial Day weekend and I am so grateful they were open. I got right in. The staff is very friendly and efficient. It took less than 45 minutes for the testing and breathing treatment. I’m on my way home to rest now! I highly recommend this Urgent Care!
Fantastic experience: I did not have an appointment but I was able to be seen within about 15 minutes of arriving and this was a Saturday afternoon. I was in and out quickly. The staff was very pleasant and so was the Provider. I would highly recommend this office.
Fantastic experience: Staff was very nice. I was in and out in a timely manner. The PA was very thorough! I would highly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: This Clinic excels in customer service and care! Every time I have gone, I have been well taken care of and seen relatively quickly. One of the things I like most about this place is that, I'm a veteran, and they do the legwork for you. You don't have to call anyone after being seen. They call the VA on your behalf! I cannot express how much weight is lifted off of my shoulders with service! Thank you Access Point! You all are the best!
Fantastic experience: Son was having ear pain. Waited probably 15-20 mins to fill paperwork out since it was the first time being there. Once we were in the room the doctor came in, looked in his ear and yes he had a double ear infection. Overall it's a nice facility and professional staff and the care they provided was top tier.
Fantastic experience: Great care and understanding staff. Thanks for all the help!
Fantastic experience: The staff were very helpful and kind. This place is very affordable, especially for those without insurance, and was a really quick process overall.
Fantastic experience: The staff here was so amazing.. the building is very clean and wait time was nothing!!
Fantastic experience: The staff was so quick, friendly and professional! The PA was so nice and listened to me and my concerns before treating me, and made me feel like I was fully in control of the care I received. As a woman, this is HUGE! Thank you!
Positive experience: The new intake process is long and redundant, but everyone was nice! The nurse that administered my steroid injection, really massaged it in. She said most pts, including myself, say they have never had it massaged in as it’s supposed to be. I appreciate her doing it correctly, even if it did hurt and require bracing myself upon the wall. Lol! It was the most convenient location for me, but they do charge as “specialist,” “because we have an X-ray machine” resulting in increased copay. The entire process was about 2hrs.
We appreciate your review. We understand some concern, however, the first time maybe tedious however afterwards is straight forward. Also you are able now to schedule appointment and fill out prior to coming in making it even faster for future visits.
Thank you,
Dr Shaaban
Negative experience: First thing I needed my ID and when brought my ID told me that they can't see me because of my insurance involved with the state
We are sorry for any misunderstandings. Unfortunately especially in the world of medicine it requires your ID to make sure we verify the you are the patient and the insurance has all the correct information. But unfortunately we don't take state insurance at this time and we do apologize for any inconvenience.

Fantastic experience: Went in today with a really bad sprained ankle was referred to an orthopedic because there xray tech couldn't make it today. I was upset that they still charged me my co-pay. I received a call from the doctor this evening saying they were refunding my co-pay because they could not render that service. That speaks volumes about this place!
Fantastic experience: Excellent doctor good service thank you again
Fantastic experience: Everyone was kind, swift, and attentive. Provider answered all of my questions and didn’t rush me - great job all!
Fantastic experience: The overall experience my family and I EAs great. The wait wasn't very long and the staff was very courteous. Dr. Cassidy took great care of us; from diagnosis, to the treatment plan. Would definitely recommend seeing Dr Cassidy for urgent care!
Fantastic experience: The team of ladies there are amazingly wonderful and caring! I was very pleased and thankful for the great service!
Thank you for your 5-star review! Our team loves knowing they could help when you needed us.
Fantastic experience: Wife had a terrible case of Salmonella poisoning and was severely dehydrated. We have bad experiences with the local hospital ER and decided to give Access Point a try. The staff was incredible and helped my wife get the IV fluids and medicine she needed. We have a small child that we were trying to get back to in time for bed and the staff had her in and out in barely more than an hour. Thankful to have found this urgent care close to home!
Thank you for your wonderful review! Thank you for trusting us with your care. We’re glad our team could help and get you back to what matters.
Fantastic experience: Check-in was simple and fast. I was able to be seen quickly and Cassidi was very kind and helpful. She listened to my concerns and helped me find the best options to fit my needs. I would recommend using this clinic if you do not have a primary care physician like myself. They also provided me with a discount card for my prescriptions that reduced the cost significantly. Thank you Cassidi!
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re glad our easy check-in process and the provider's attentive care made your visit easier when you needed it most. We appreciate your recommendation. You can reach our Primary Care office at 850-740-5010.
Fantastic experience: Fabulous staff...will go there again! Thank you so much.
Thank you for your review! We are here to help when you need it.
Positive experience: I feel that I was treated very well and thoroughly. The bedside manner of all employees alike sets 6 4r
Fantastic experience: Needed a CDL physical. They got me in quickly. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Thank you for the 5-star review Gary! We are open 7 days a week and we love being able to help patients get their CDL physicals done at their convenience.
Fantastic experience: My wait time was minimal, check in was easy, the entire staff were friendly and kind. Kayla the NP is wonderful! She listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable and that I was heard. I’m thankful to have found such a caring healthcare provider.
Fantastic experience: My husband brought me in because I had 2 falls since the I received my new braces. I still depend on my wheelchair for most of my mobility, while using the KAFOs for 10 to 15 minutes a day until I start rehab. The provider , nursing staff, and administrative staff got me in fast with excellent care a nd compassion. The Radiology Technician was kind and very helpful with my mobility so that we could take Xrays. I was very pleased to know that nothing was fractured, guidance with taking my meds as directed and 15 minutes for the ice pack, 20 minutes off, and using the arm sling for comfort. The VA sends me here when they cannot get me into the clinic. I am grateful for the knowledge, compassion, professionalism that I received at the clinic. Thanks you so much.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're delighted to hear that our team provided compassionate and efficient care. We're especially proud to serve the VA community and are grateful for the opportunity to assist those who have served. Thank you again for your kind words—we're always here to support you!
Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, due to an insurance issue I am no longer able to be seen. However, that has not prevented Dr. Doolan and his team from going above and beyond to ensure I receive care.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear about the insurance difficulties, but we're glad to know that Doolan and our team have been able to support you through it. We always strive to assist our patients, especially when issues arise.
Thank you again for your kind words, and please reach out anytime!
Fantastic experience: the BEST urgent care i have ever been to! my boyfriend was having some bad back pain while on vacation and they did everything they could to care for him! Melinda was magnificent !! so glad we stumbled across this place !
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're happy to hear we were able to help during your vacation. Safe travels and take care!
Fantastic experience: Very quick in and out, but the doctor was rushed out. I would have like a few more minutes.
Negative experience: Not sure where the spacious rooms are pictured. I was seen in what seemed like a closet. The nurse practitioner was rushed and reluctant to suggest a follow up visit or referral to specialist. I had to press. I called back and requested a call from her and was assured she would call me. Lol still waiting. URGENT CARE they are not. Access Healthcare is a system that seems more concerned about numbers than patients.
Fantastic experience: The staff, team and nurse practioner were excellent and do enjoy going to them. I highly recommend them Quick, fast & professional!
Negative experience: Absolutely the worst service I have ever had multiple times for a walking clinic will never go again highly suggest staying away
Fantastic experience: Good Morning; just to express my Gratitude to Ms. Kayla Sim, for take care me with a Professional manners; Kindness; excellent Health Professional; Thank You ; so Much; Ms. Kayla; God Bless You. Very Truly, Alfredo F.
Fantastic experience: I was in PCB for vacation during Christmas break. I had a sinus infection and needed care. I was weary about using a practice that I wasn't familiar with (and that my insurance company capitated me to) however, I worried for no reason. I got great care from the MP who listened to me and offered me options. The entire staff couldn't have been nicer.
Negative experience: This was my primary care place and it was a good experience until you miss a appointment so you think to yourself maybe a 25 dollar charge for missing appointment is fair maybe even the 40 co-pay charge but y'all tried to charge 75 dollars for a missed appointment to me and probably others this is a deal breaker you say it's policy cause you don't double book like the other places for shorter wait times well I call bs y'all all in on the money it's a cruel world first money second patients
Fantastic experience: Was able to walk in and be seen within a short time after completing paperwork. Out of town so I was unable to get to my PCP. Front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. Was seen by BRIEANNE N. KREMER, ARNP and she was also super helpful and caring. Highly recommend if you have an urgent nee. Only word of caution is that you will see an online booking option which I initially completed and received an email appointment confirmation with address listed as 1931 MLK so I went there first. They do have an office there but seems like more of a PCP location and they advised that they were booked out and did not see my name. Receptionist told me the online booking system is “not synced up”. She did point me to the Urgent Care location by the Target. Thank goodness it was close enough to walk since I had been dropped off. Be cautious if using th online booking. Best to call….
Fantastic experience: First time here and very pleased with the check in staff, Gage taking my vitals and information and Kayla Sims APN my provider. They were quick and efficient and facility was very clean!
Fantastic experience: Lisa in the accounting dept. was very helpful to me in trying to get reimbursed for a visit in which I paid cash for, which my insurance was not wanting to pay. I had been trying to get this solved for months. I was very happy and thankful for her taking the time to get this done. Thank you Lisa!
Fantastic experience: This is the most pleasant walk in I have ever been to. The staff is so kind! They are knowledgeable and fast. I get anxious at doctors appointments, but always feel calm here.
Positive experience: Didn’t take my insurance properly the first time. Then made it my fault and my problem that they weren’t getting paid. Lisa has an attitude problem and can’t do her job correctly.
Fantastic experience: From the front desk staff to all healthcare team members can’t be praises enough! Low weight times for walk in clinic, professional staff who addressed all of my concerns. Left feeling better!
Fantastic experience: Hey access point.. I just want to think the most sweetest person with great attitude, Great smile, And wonderfull personality. Makayla helps me with everything . with no problem. So plz. Give this beautiful girl a hand clap, And a great big huge for me. She deserves it the most. Miss her when she is not there. Hard worker, positive vibz, and a Good head on her shoulders. She needs a raise ... Thank u ... Xoxox love yall!!!! Thank you Makayla Whitts!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic experience: These folks were wonderful. Care was fast and thorough. Staff was friendly and knowledge. They addressed all of my concerns and I will absolutely return. Clean facility. Urgent care visit on a Saturday.
Fantastic experience: This man Dr. shaaban and his staff sre a credit to the medical profession,.not only are his medical skills top notch ,His people skills are on the same level my initial visit was for a nasty large cut on my left hand which he put in 15 stitches,As he was putting in the stitches he was talking to me in such a calm demener keeping me relaxed and calm,His staff are awesome as well you are treated with such respect and kindness!!!!!!!
Fantastic experience: So I came in this morning with a 5 year old cover in a rash. A rash that started last night with no fever but it keeps developing around all her body. I have few more questions about my child .. The doctor CALL ME back same day from his phone and talked to me and answered everything. That’s customer service !!!! Thank you
Fantastic experience: My family was on vacation to Panama City. My daughter had a lot of ear pain, so we chose to come to Access Point. It was a lovely experience. They were friendly and welcoming! The doctor was efficient and was able to diagnose my daughter right away. If I ever need an urgent care in Panama City again, I will definitely come back!
Negative experience: Went in for fever cough dizziness and what have you. They listened to my chest checked my ears saw fluid and gave me amoxicillin said if it worsens I should see someone, two days later I was hospitalized with pneumonia. Wouldn’t really recommend going here if you’re actually ill.
We appreciate the review and are sorry you had to be hospitalized. With regards to pneumonia if you examination was normal (lung exam) then risk of pneumonia is low. But doesn’t mean it couldn’t develop and most cases of pneumonia are treated in the out patient setting. We do hope you get better sooner! APH Admin
Fantastic experience: The ladies up at the front desk Makayla and Brooke were so amazing! They took care of me and called my insurance carrier. Doctor Porter Grace was so professional and courteous to me. This was my first time here. I will definitely be back next time I feel sick. Thank you Accesspoit health care.
Fantastic experience: Fast and super efficient Urgent Care. Completely Patient focused. Completely thorough. You're not just another Patient at Access Point; you're treated like you're their only Patient. Wonderful Staff! The Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medical Assistants, they all truly care about YOU and that's something you can really feel.
We appreciate the review Mr Bullock! If you need anything from us all feel free to reach out. Access Point Healthcare Administration
Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised by many aspects of the care I received. I did not have to wait long at all in the waiting room and after getting to my room the doctor came in very soon afterward. The doctor was knowledgeable and more important he listened to me. He also suggested shots that I may need and gave me a referral for eye care.
Thank you Mr Mins for your review! We are glad to hear you had a good experience with our office! Admin
Fantastic experience: Yesterday was my first visit with Dr.Shaaban. I was very impressed by the way he took his time to evaluate me and the patients and understanding he had of my condition. I only wish I had discovered him a lot sooner. I will most definitely keep him as my primary caregiver.
Thank you Mrs Acklin! We appreciate the review and the confidence you have in our staff! Administration
Fantastic experience: Dr. Shaaban is a great doctor. We were new to town and so happy we found him. He is attentive, knowledgeable and personable and has a wonderful friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Thank you Amanda for the kind review. If you need anything please let us know. APH Administration
Negative experience: I brought my daughter in to clinic on Saturday, June 8 and it was around 2 p.m. There were only a few patients there. The male nurse was awesome. But Dr. Shaaban was another story. If that is even who we saw? He walks in never says hello. Introduces himself or nothing. He only checked her ears and nose and said antibiotics and a steroid shot and literally walks out. When Nurse comes back in I asked if he could get the doctor to at come back in and please check her lungs because she had been coughing so bad and she has Asthma and has history of collapsed lung. He comes back in mad checks her back and says lungs clear. Never checked her front or lower lobes. Now on Monday am at 1:00 a.m. we are at Gulf Coast Hospital and she is being admitted for Pneumonia. Thank God I listened to her and not to the doctor. He is horrible. I hope you realize the harm you have done and I hope everyone sees this and I hope you have a blessed day. Because you need it. You don't need to be a doctor if you are going to treat people like this. Edit to the reply: Ask your Nurse about us having to ask him back in there. Bottom line he was horrible.
We appreciate the review. We are sorry to hear about your experiences at our office. We would like to mention that examination of the lungs is performed from the back (upper and lower lobes) there are no frontal lobes. We would also mention that after speaking with Dr Shaaban, there was no mention of collapsed lung or asthma during your initial evaluation, we do find it odd that you say he didn't even say hello as we know this to be a standard practice of his to say hello. Also pneumonia can only be diagnosed by Xray and on weekends we don't have the ability to order xray's as their is no Xray tech in office, otherwise I'm sure Dr Shaaban would have ordered one. We are sorry to hear about your daughter being admitted, however, she was prescribed antibiotics that would have taken care of community acquired pneumonia and the steroid injection would have helped with the pneumonia. We are sorry that she isn't improving and hope she gets better. Dr Shaaban is a great physician and don't believe your assessment to be accurate.
Negative experience: On my 3rd visit I was 9 minutes late, I came in told them my name , just as they were going to check me in I apologized for being a little late. Then she told me I would need to reschedule. I responded with, no ma’am , I need to get my medication. She got up went to the office manager who spent another 7 minutes arguing with me., rudely and unprofessional and cancelled all of my appointments. Look I get being late, their policy states after 15 minutes you have to reschedule, they could have gotten me in a room in that time (9mins.) they spent being rude. They got all my first time visits money, blood work money and then canceling me because the office manager is a gaslighting, bulling, unprofessional and uncaring, I want to thank them for showing their true colors of care and how un important I was to them. I found someone to go to that is much better, cares for me and who were appalled at how I was treated! Dr Shaaban and his office manager should be ashamed at how they use and treat patients. Thank you again for showing me who you really are and because of your service I was able to find a much better doctor! A blessing in disguise!
We appreciate the review, however I do want to clarify several points. We aren't your typical primary care office. Traditionally patients wait in a lobby for insane amounts of time to spend only a short period with the physician / provider. We aimed at changing that, however, we noticed that the biggest component to long wait times was two fold, providers not being able to monitor time in the rooms and patients showing up late pushing back schedules. So we placed rules for providers first and patients second. With regards to showing up late, new patients have a 15 minute window and follow up patient have a 7.5 minute window to show up. This allows for at lease sometime with the provider. Our goal is that if you show up for your 1 o'clock appointment you are seen at 1:05 and out by 1:15 to 1:20. We want to respect the time of our patients. We would have done the same for you if someone else was trying to do this too you. I do find it odd that the office manager had to be involved as typically this is a front office issue. Our policy for staff is not to argue with patient's and I reviewed our camera footage and our staff was upholding our policy. And last you decided to cancel your appointment in addition to leaving while threatening a bad review as you didn't get your way. I'm glad you have found a new provider, I urge you to respect them, their time and the rest of their patients as that wasn't the case at our office. Have a wonderful day, Dr Shaaban
Fantastic experience: Very professional and on time visits. The doctor takes the time to explain things to me and I don't ever feel rushed. Everything has been exactly as expected.
Thank you Mr LeBlanc for you review. If we or Dr Shaaban can ever do anything for you please let us know!
Negative experience: After being told by hca er on 231 to basically just go to urgent care I went to urgent care. The receptionist was all attitude, as if me being there was inconvenient. Once checked in, I went into the back where someone did my vitals while asking me what I was there for. She was the only professional encounter I had at the MLK and 23rd facility. Then a few minutes later a PA comes in sniffing and hacking. She listened to my abdominal area, and proceeded to tell me I needed to go to the ER. So after paying a $100 to be seen for 5 minutes I ended up back at an ER. Also did I want an ambulance to take me to the ER because I needed a CT most likely. (Read other reviews same MO wonder if they have their own ambulance company and make money off transport) I will NEVER again use this provider or any of its facilities if this is their standard of care. Don’t waste your time or money.
Good Morning Mrs Gresh, this is Dr Shaaban. I'm sorry that you had a negative experience at our office. I can confirm that we do not have an Ambulance Service, it is standard of care if someone is in a lot of pain that they may cause an accident on the way to the hospital and is always advised for us to make sure patients get to the ER safely. I do however, find it odd that for someone who has significant pain that the ER accepted you after turning you away, as there are laws in place that an ER cannot refuse to see you or turn you away despite whatever you come in for. I spoke with the provider and agree that you probably needed a CT scan so that you would have been treated appropriately. I know it can be difficult sometimes but trust me all of our providers only want the best for our patients. And unfortunately even when sick we still have to come in and take care of our patients despite how we feel. I hope you improve and that nothing major was found during your ER visit. If you have an further question, you may reach out to me at 850-740-5010. Thanks, Dr Shaaban
Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved the Doctor AND the staff. Everyone was thorough, knowledgeable, and very kind. Doctor Shaaban was very attentive to my needs and gathered ALL of my medical history. He referred me to the specialists that I need. Just a wonderful experience all around!
Negative experience: Took my 7 yr old here twice, once for fever and for vomiting and dehydration a week after that. They did several tests all of which came out negative (Covid, flu, and strep). The only advice I got was to take my son to ER and they could help me for calling an ambulance, because he likely had something in his stomach blocking all food and drinks, and needed a CT scan right away. I took my kid there with my wife and the ER was only a few minutes drive. Why would someone think I need an ambulance? Also they checked my son's stomach and my son told them it did not hurt regardless of anywhere the nurse pushed with pressure - which to me, there is nothing physically blocking food in his stomach. Instead of ER, I searched google and fed my kid with popsicle pedialite and he got better in less than 24 hrs. I do not recommend this place unless you want to hear the ER and ambulance nonsense. I am never going back here.
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! THE WORST! Took my wife in Sunday for a vaginal infection. They gave her a shot. Did not get better. Called Tuesday about a prescription they said I had to come back in. Went in at 530 and was refused to be seen. Wednesday morning we are in and told she has already been prescribed pills on Sunday that no one told us about. After a brief exam she was referred to a hospital ER! THIS PLACE TRULY SUCKS & I SPENT $60 FOR NOTHING!
Fantastic experience: Arranging an appointment with this facility is incredibly convenient. It's awesome that they accept my insurance, Aetna, for urgent care when many other establishments in the area do not. The staff members are not only polite and prompt, but also highly professional. Dr. Shaaban, who I've been seeing for a while, is extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Moreover, the office is very neat and tidy, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Update: They now accept Aetna for primary care! Woo!
Negative experience: I did not feel like the physician I saw was listening to my concerns. I describe a cough and thick congestion that has lasted 3.5 weeks. I wrote on my intake form and told her I have been taking mucinex, using an inhaler, Zyrtec, Benadryl, nasacort, tessalon perles, all with no relief. She listened to my chest and said she didn’t think I had an infection and was just unlucky, and did not want to prescribe me antibiotics. She gave me a steroid shot which of course only helps for about 24 hours. I’m back to wheezing and will be forced to go spend another copay to be seen elsewhere for what is clearly a sinus infection.
We appreciate the review, Dr Shaaban will call you in the morning to see how he can help!
Negative experience: I went to AccessPoint healthcare on Sunday, February 18. I was denied healthcare, because I refused to provide my Social Security number. While I do realize it is the privilege of the UC to do so I feel I was terribly wronged. My husband has served this country for 24 years and we have the best military retirement insurance available through TRICARE. I did provide my military ID, which has a number on it that equates to my husband’s Social Security number however, was told that unless I provided my Social Security they would not give service. I have been informed by many bureaus not to give my SS number to doctors offices b/c they are frequent victims of hacking and fraud and people have their identity stolen. I asked to speak to management, but I was told I would have to wait because they were all busy with patients. It’s not like I was coming in for cancer treatment. All I needed was some steroids and I was more than willing to pay my co-pay upfront. I do not recommend this healthcare facility and I will never be back.
Update: This is our policy as it is in many other clinics. You have the right not to come to our clinic and find a clinic that doesn’t ask for it. But we will not be changing this policy. Have a good day. Dr Shaaban.
Mrs Wachtfeitl, this is our policy. We are sorry that you didn’t want to comply and have other options in the city to be seen. You were given the opportunity to speak with me, Dr Shaaban, after I finished seeing patients who came before you but you didn’t want to wait. Though we appreciate your husbands service, this doesn’t negate the fact that we uphold this to every patient. In the military, they have rules, if not followed they have consequences just like not following the rules at any establishment. We love our local Military and have a lot of them as our patients. We are sorry you are unhappy, but we have rules and will continue to uphold them. Also a military ID is not compatible with your social security number. Have a nice day! Dr Shaaban
Fantastic experience: Very nice Dr. was straight forward regarding all of my needs and asked important questions to evaluate what my current need to do is. Great start for me since im new to his practice!
Fantastic experience: Dr Shaaban put me at ease on my first visit to a new PCP. He seemed comfortable with me, discussed several issues, and made me feel that he understood my concerns and would be as helpful as he could be. The practice draws blood, so there's no need to go somewhere else for labs. I got two shots, and the person giving them was very gentle and good at what they did. I left feeling fortunate to have found this practice. Every member of the staff was kind and caring.
Fantastic experience: Excellent doctor. Despite his hard work in medical school I am glad he is not burnt out. Always greets with a smile. Highly recommend him!!
Fantastic experience: Dr, Shaaban and the staff are very courteous with an excellent profesionalism . Awaiting time is a very short with friendly greeting from the nurses. Facility is very clean and very organized at all times. I strongly recommend Dr. Shaaban to people who are looking for primary family physician..
Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to this location, but it was really quite pleasant. I’m extremely terrified of going to the doctor for anything, but this time I had some scary issues and I finally decided to go seek help. I have not gotten the results of the blood work yet, since my appointment was just yesterday….but here’s a brief summary of my experience. I was greeted very kindly by the receptionist, then I signed in and was brought to the back in a short amount of time. I had to give a urine sample to check my kidneys, a finger prick to check blood glucose, and a few vials of blood were taken from my right arm. I absolutely did NOT feel the finger prick or the needle in my arm when she drew the blood. I was waiting for the “stick” sensation in my fingertip and also in my arm…but it never came! I know that a simple finger prick and needle in the arm is almost painless, but I have never had it done without feeling anything! The nurse and the physicians assistant were so very kind and thorough, but also professional in their job. I have not seen the doctor yet, but I will be seeing him in a couple weeks. My experience with the receptionist, nurses, and physicians assistant were top notch, and that says a lot about how this clinic operates! As for the overall atmosphere here, it’s very clean and orderly….and I was treated like I were family. Do I have any regrets about coming here? Absolutely not! Would I recommend this place to my family and friends? YES I ABSOLUTELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE WHO NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION!!
Fantastic experience: I am a new patient and our consultation went very well! He listened and advised on all concerns I had and answered any questions I had. All staff was pleasant.
Fantastic experience: I am from out of state, visiting family. I came in 15 minutes before closing & I know that's not the best time for an office fixing to close, especially with me being a new patient. They were so nice & got me taken of and feeling much better by the next day! P.S. (Not an employee)
Thank you Anita for your review! And we are glad you are getting better
Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough of how Awesome the ladies upfront, the rest of the staff in the back, and Brieanne was. Everyone is so very friendly and it did not take long at all. We are Blessed to have Accesspoint Healthcare in Bay County, Florida. Thank you for Absolute Awesome service and care. May God Bless you all.
Fantastic experience: This is the best pcp I've ever had. Dr. Doogle really listens to my issues with patience and understanding. He always remembers what all I've said and seems to really care. Dr. Doogle is thorough, professional, and kind. Also, the front and back staff are amazing. I'm always seen quickly and everyone always seems like they are happy to help me! ( Ya know, like they can stand their jobs actually) I'm overjoyed at the complete care provided to me by Access Point Healthcare!!❤️
Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Everyone was so professional and I was well attended to. They explained everything with great details to make sure I understand what was being said and why procedures were done.
Negative experience: This was a bizarre experience. Incredibly bizarre. First, they got my last name wrong and when I corrected them I got attitude like I wrote it wrong? I think I know how to spell my own name. Then I started listing off my symptoms, and the whatever she is told me I had to pick one thing I was there for. What if all my symptoms were connected? I'm not a doctor, I don't have a diagnosis. I was under the impression that when you go to a doctor you tell them your symptoms and they tell you what you have and how to fix it. To me my symptoms do not seem connected but they all happened at the same time so, maybe they are? Like, did they expect me to diagnose myself and then go in there and tell them that I have something particular and tell him what medication I need for it? Like, then you're going to have to pay me the big bucks I guess because that isn't my job. So I picked one, and they tested for what I thought it might be, it came back negative, so now I'm still coughing, covered in hives and rashes, with pain in my back and painful urination with something that may fix one of them, possibly? Like, okay so maybe I need two things addressed? Maybe I need a second test because the first one came back negative, maybe we need to test for something else?? Do I have to go back out to the lobby and wait for another hour and a half? It just seems like such a waste of time for everybody involved. So I guess I'm going to go to another doctor tomorrow for my cough and hives. And the doctor talking over me was really crummy. That is one of my biggest pet peeves and I shut down so quick after that. I'm autistic so it's pretty hard for me to speak up anyway , but I've not had any help or anyone to advocate for me in a long time so I'm getting better at advocating for myself when it comes to healthcare , but it really throws me off when someone talks over me. I know you're in a rush and I'm nothing to you and you don't care if I live or die, but you could at least act like you don't feel that way. I guess it was my fault for going in right at lunch time. I feel like I really fell through the cracks. And I went here because the reviews were so good but I'm starting to wonder if they were written by employees.
We appreciate the review, however I need to clarify a few of your points. Since I am a physician and can give clarity to a claim you make. We are taught to guide the conversation if it gets off topic. When a patient comes in and we ask what’s wrong, and a patient starts in one spots but doesn’t complete the entire story or give all the information needed, we have to redirect to make sure we have everything we need to make the best diagnosis. We aren’t machines we are human, I can see if this would look like someone talking over you but it’s because they probably needed more information that you left out. In regards to the front office, if a patient circles circles multiple body parts that have issues, yes they may or may not have anything to do with each other, however in an Urgent Care setting you are given one problem to talk about. This isn’t stating to the patient, that these things can’t be addressed if they might be the same problem. However, just like you the front office is “Medical or a Doctor”. They just inform the patient to make sure they understand what is expected. For example you think you have a UTI and a Left Shoulder injury this is two different problems. This would cause wait times to significantly increase and want to limit wait time especially if it is busy. To your last point, if you were tested, we are limited and what we can test for. There aren’t tests we can run in an acute setting to assess for all sickness and have a diagnosis back instantly for you. Majority of send out tests are for viruses and majority of time self limited and OTC medicines for symptom relief will suffice. We are sorry you’re sick and think you had a bad experience, however, if you look at it from our stand point that should change. Hope you feel better, Dr Shaaban. Also at the business owner, I I haven’t had 1300 employees, thanks
Positive experience: I waited for an hour, was seen, and was pretty straight forward. I could hear the conversations through the walls, the guy next to me had something expanding as he was waiting in the room and they sent him to the ER, I was privy to his pain. Everyone was nice, you could tell they were tired, but still trying. I was handed Rxs that I wasn't expecting and the person seemed surprised when I asked about side effects and if I needed to eat before taking and working heavy machinery. Finally got each person to laugh at least once. I do have an issue I went here Wednesday I believe. Thursday I was coughing up stuff. As of Saturday I have a full-blown sinus infection... there was a mom with 3 VERY sick kids in the lobby...the little girl sounded like she was dying... I mentioned it to the counter person and they agreed. I'm convinced, after all of this year and all the stresses and not getting sick even 1 time the whole year, to then walk out of the office with this... I went in for an injury/workers comp, now I cannot go to work because of going to the Dr's lobby. I didn't want to leave a review, but this was texted to me to do, I was hoping it could have been private.
We appreciate the review. We are sorry that you got sick. We do have a policy at Access Point that if a patient wishes to wait in their car as the lobby maybe busy and since this is an Urgent Care and people do come in sick that they can be called in from their vehicle to limit exposures. We hope you get well soon, Dr Shaaban. If you have any further questions / concerns you are always more than welcome to call and admin or myself will discuss any concerns that you have.
