Fantastic experience: It was amazing these guys are the best of the best I’m terrified of needles but there was a doctor that help me with a iv and she told me I wouldn’t feel it and she was right and I was sedated and in my kind of felt like 5-15 mins for the whole surgery but it was about 45 but props to these guys best service answered all my questions I asked and Dr.steel is the guy to go with they even let me take my wisdom teeth back home with me thank you guys

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had a Wisdom tooth pulled, I experienced absolutely no pain at all. I did not need to take any Advil or Tylenol and I had no swelling at all. Slept great all night. The doctor and staff and his assistant were wonderful, they go out of Their way to make it as easy and painless as possible. I highly recommend them. I was very impressed.

Fantastic experience: I am normally an incredibly anxious person, so going into my wisdom tooth surgery was scary but Dr. Steel and Whitney made me feel so much better :) I had a bit of a panic attack waking up because I was so disoriented and Whitney held my hand when I reached out for it and kept telling me to breath and that it was going to be Ok!! Best experience I could have hoped for; they also let me keep my teeth, which was nice

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this office highly for anyone! I had teeth extraction. Visit was very professional. Started procedure right on time, everything went well. I had the sedation. I was done and didn’t feel or hear anything. Surgeon and staff checked on me throughout the day and a couple of times in the week after. Very nice people, they know their stuff!

Fantastic experience: The doctor and staff were very nice. They have a YouTube channel explain pre-op and post-op so I could refer to it as needed Dr. Steel did an excellent job removing my wisdom teeth! I had minimal swelling and pain. I also appreciate that he extracted my bottom tooth so that the extraction site is just a small hole. It makes it easier to clean and keeps food from getting stuck. He gave me some a coupon and different options to fill out my post-op prescription so I could do price checks on them.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Steel and all staff were great. Very friendly, listened and answered questions. I just wish I had asked for anesthesia instead of nitrous oxide. The tube was very uncomfortable. I felt very little pain but I could hear as he was digging the molar out. Thank you doctor for prescribing the meds that I needed after the numbness wore out.

Fantastic experience: I have extreme anxiety attack and panick attacks daily ,so bad to where I feel like I’m dying and no one’s able to help me and the amount of times a day I get them hold me backs a lot I also have so many physical symptom from anxiety that ruins my day to day life when I first called and got an appointment I was glad they excepted Medicaid they said it would be three months out but they put me on a cancellation list and I got in in two weeks I could got in sooner but I was to take the newer cancellation. I said okay finally I went in I felt overwhelmed wanted to cry and faint but the front desk lady gave me a nice smile I got called back for an x ray asked why they recommend for people with severe anxiety they said to put me to sleep ofc my heart sink to my butt they took me back tot he room the assistant nurse was calming ,reassuring making small talk with me and I also have a fear of needles but she got the IV in me before I knew it next thing you know Dr.Steel came in explained I had all four impacted wisdom teeth why it’s good to get them out he left later came back in the room he laid me back I was telling him about the good reviews and I trust him he said thank you smiled at me I smiled back and I was out and not in a scary way it felt like how it would when going to bed I was sleepy I just closed my eyes my breathing didn’t slow down I woke up they wheeled me out and surprisingly I was pretty aware and the anesthesia wore off but I felt good in a. Long time relaxed calm. Mind you when I went in my body was shaking I looked like a chihuahua . But if I had to get any work done I would 100% come here I now feel like I can achieve almost anything .Sorry for the long review but if I can do it trust me YOU GOT THIS !

Fantastic experience: I had to get a tooth extracted this past week and Rio Grande Oral Surgery was amazing from start to finish. They got me in exactly at the time I was scheduled, talked me through the process, gave me the shots needed and came back in a very timely manner, my tooth was out and I was able to go home and rest. To my surprise when I woke up I had a voicemail from the surgeon making sure I was doing ok and to call if I had any issues. I didn't have any issues and healed up completely with no soreness just 4 days later. I just got a text from the office asking me how I'm doing again. I recommend this office to anyone who has high anxiety because I felt more comfortable with them than I have with any other dental office.

We traveled from 4 hrs away, and they had prescriptions ready at our home pharmacy. Finally, Dr Steel called to check on my daughter the evening after surgery & we had another checkup the week after! EVERY aspect of my daughters wisdom teeth removal was a professional and caring process!

I have the worst dental anxiety and I've had bad experiences were it's been rushed, needled did damage just obvious they cared more about having you in and out THIS place on the other hand was so great and made me feel comfortable , the doctor was very understanding and helped make it as comfortable as possible . Fantastic experience: I was referred to a different oral surgeon to remove 10 teeth (4 wisdoms, 4 premolars, and 2 impacted teeth hidden under the gum) by the orthodontist. However, I decided to get them extracted at the Rio Grande Oral Surgery after reading all the good reviews about Dr. Steel and his staff. I was extremely nervous about the procedure, and the medical assistants were very considerate and attentive as they tried to ease my anxiety. The procedure itself lasted for an hour, and they sent me home with a detailed post operation care instructions. Dr. Steel even called me himself to check up on me that afternoon. Kudos to the team! The experience was way better than what I imagined. I couldn’t take any pain meds the first day after the procedure due to so much bleeding; however, the pain was very tolerable with a little swelling on my right side. I’m recovering well without any complications (dry sockets or infection) by following all the instructions for post operation care though the bleeding from one impacted site was the most annoying part as it lasted for over a week. So far, my stitches are starting to dissolve. I would say if you were to remove wisdom teeth only, the healing process would be much faster.

Dr. Steel and his staff made it amazing, the lady was checking up on me making sure that I was ok the whole time before and after I got sedated. Fantastic experience: Dr. Steel & his Team simply put -- are AWESOME!!! They are the "crème de la crème" of Oral Surgery! Referred to their office by my amazing Dentist "Dr. Armand Giannini", I was certain that I would be in great hands. Especially knowing that two years prior, my wife was successfully treated by Dr. Steel to extract an infected molar, and replace it with an implant. Still, I was dragging my heels going into Dr. Steel's office the other day, to have my rear molar extracted from a failed crown. After all, who looks forward to having a molar extracted?! Yet, I left his office grinning check to check, and doing back flips! Here's why: From start to finish, the whole process was so well done. Everyone mentioned here was so gracious! From my initial pleasant communications with both Ashley & Esther, I was immediately accommodated on to their schedule. The check in process at their office was so easy & smooth.
