Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here. I had to go for a wisdom tooth extraction. The front desk lady, I apologize for forgetting your name, is literally the best ever. Morgan was a friendly and very nice when explaining everything to me when it was time for X-rays and getting a plan down. I had Kevin for my dentist. He was great, straight to the point which I appreciated very much. I’ve never had a dentist explain things the way he did and I found it very helpful. Would absolutely recommend for emergencies as they are a bit more expensive for obvious reasons.

Fantastic experience: The people here were incredibly kind and helpful. they weren’t able to extract my wisdom tooth, but they gave me an x ray and a referral to an oral surgeon completely free of charge just out of the kindness of their hearts and honestly saved me so much money and time. these guys are great!

Negative experience: So many many issues on one vist, In October I had to get a tooth removed due to a medical issue, on my way the highway became backed up and I called and info the front person I might be a few minutes late, I arrived on time and front lady canceled my appointment because “she thought I wasn’t going to make it” . After that I asked the secretary about prices 500 for tooth removal and around 200 for all the pictures and the exam, I asked are they able to document the damage done to my teeth aswell due to my ongoing medical issue, she replied “yes that’s part of the exam” also informed that the VA will be reimbursed for this and that’s why I choose them for it instead of others, stupid on my part because my bill went from 900 to 1600…. I had extra charges for pictures, I received 8 numbing shot and was never told they each costed money they just kept sticking them in my gums, they never did the exam of my damage nor wrote anything about them in files they gave me, either the secretary lied about that or I was just screwed out of a a service I was supposed to be provided and paid for. One other issues is the removal of the tooth when it came out I heard multiple cracks of bones i immediately asked the dentist what that was and he just ran out the room and never answered the question. I had blood pouring out my and the assistant wouldn’t give me another clothe to help stop the bleed, legitimately had to stare at her with blood running out my month for her to give me one more clothe. My mouth was leaking blood and pus for 12 hours.. found out later it was due to the cut the dentist made to drain my infection… on my cheek The only positive side was I given a discount for paying with cash…but once they heard I was getting reimbursed by the federal government they started jacking prices up and adding extra stuff to double what it was originally told

Fantastic experience: I came here on a Sunday morning with a severe toothache. The front desk was so welcoming and the check in was smooth. The Dental Assistant made me feel very welcomed. She was very careful and accommodating when taking necessary X-rays. The Dentist was very helpful in explaining what was going on in my mouth as well as finding an infection that I do not know about in my gums! He was honest about my treatment choices and was not pushy at all. The staff took their time making sure I understood everything and I felt in no rush with their time in the room with me. I have definitely found a dentist that I will be switching my family to for our routine care!

Negative experience: Just wait & go to your regular dentist. $200 to do literally nothing and waste everyone’s time. I show up and tell them I think I have an infection. X-rays done confirming infection, no antibiotics provided & only solution is to pull tooth for $2K. Left in pain, discomfort & disappointment.

Fantastic experience: I chipped my tooth and came here to get it fixed. They were able to see me the same day and fixed it within a couple of hours. Dr. Aladdin and Jr were so helpful and talked me through everything while it was happening. Great place for dental emergencies, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The staff was very nice, courteous and attentive to my pain. My anxiety and my I was cold and they gave me a blanket. They kept my lips moisturized and the dentist was awesome. Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment 30 minutes after calling on a Saturday morning for a molar filling that came out. The front desk staff is friendly and polite. All procedures and costs were discussed up front (nothing hidden). The doctor and assistant were calming and not heavy handed. They kept the atmosphere light with jokes and small talk. Negative experience: Had an appointment for my finace for an exposed nerve, we made it to the appointment to find the door locked and had to be let in despite being told doors don't lock until 8pm. It was 7:30. Once we got in, we were told that even though we had an appointment, they wouldn't be able to provide any treatment, just an exam. This is ridiculous, we had an appointment, no one told us this over the phone when we made the appointment. We came from South Haven to Grand Rapids to only get that info once we got there. He had to stay in pain overnight until we could get in somewhere else that would actually help him. Don't rely on them to actually be willing to help, they sure didn't care about him. Edit: wow, no reply to my review but everyone else's? Obviously only care about the people who hype you up despite the awful care you provide.

While appointments reserve a time to be evaluated, same-day treatment can never be guaranteed, as it depends entirely on what the doctor finds during the exam and what is clinically appropriate at that time. This is why every visit begins with an exam first. When patients are seeking same-day treatment, we do encourage coming in earlier in the day when possible, as it allows more flexibility if treatment is recommended.
Regarding the doors, our team does secure them in the evening for staff and patient safety, but patients with appointments are always let in. We apologize if that added to the confusion or frustration.

The doc is a good dude as well, really looks out for your wellbeing and wants to give you a good overall oral inspection so you’re aware of any other potential issues. First visit here and I’m thoroughly impressed with the team here.

Fantastic experience: Super nice, helpful, and honest. Knew about potential costs upfront. I was in so much pain I made an appointment at 3am and was able to get in at 11am. On the spot same day resolution on a Saturday!!! Friendly and fun staff. So great because tooth emergencies don't follow business hours. Greatful I found this place!

Fantastic experience: My daughter experienced a traumatic injury to her teeth on a Friday evening. Emergency Dental of GR was able to get her in on Saturday morning for an assessment and fixed her teeth the same day. The staff was so kind and helpful and turned a stressful situation around for us. Negative experience: Unprofessional front desk staff-discussing personal problems loudly and yelling across the desk for information. Dental assistant seemed annoyed at us until she asked for a review and then was all smiles. The dentist told us my daughter needed a splint for a tooth that they said was not fractured based on the X-rays they took and then they spent over 20 minutes looking for a billing code for said splint. When I asked if we could wait one more day so she could go to the regular dentist they hesitated and said they wanted to take a 3d xray before they were comfortable releasing her. After that xray they confirmed again there was no fracture. I took her to 2 dentists the next day-both confirmed that there was one clear fracture and possibly a second. I’m glad I didn’t spend the $700 on the splint that wouldn’t have done anything!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Churchman was great. He talked about all the options and I chose not to get the tooth extracted at this time and do some more research.

I arrive to my appointment and was immediately taken to the exam room, procedure explained in detail, alternative options offered but not force, friendly environment, clean office, and procedure was completed in a timely manner!! Fantastic experience: All dental work is very expensive but on the upside they have credit programs. Apply for them perhaps prior to your appointment if you know what they are. Even though we had to be patient to be seen as it was Sunday for the call ahead appt., the staff were very helpful, courteous, kind & understanding. The doctor working today did a good job explaining a root canal procedure and let me know other issues. I am beginning to feel pain free 3 hours after surgery!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. The reception staff were kind. Best chairs ive ever seen at an office. Had a filling done on Wednesday at my main office. Through no fault of their own but a chance of bad luck the procedure failed and I was in excruciating and debilitating pain. I needed relief and found these guys online! They were all so kind and considerate. They made sure i was entirely numb and offered me some options to relax as I had been in excruciating pain for almost two days with no sleep and little food. Do to severe inflammation it took a couple injections to get me perfectly numb and Morgan the tech chatted with me which helped my nerves quite a bit. Once the numbing was in full effect Dr. Churchman had my tooth out in not even kidding like 5 minutes with no pain. Here is to buckets of relief!! They saved me honestly. Dont know what i would have done without them, felt like my body was going to give out from the stress of the pain prior. Thank you all so much! I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was able to get in first thing this morning after waking up with severe pain. They were thorough and courteous and were able to take my wisdom tooth out same day. Hope to not have to come back, but glad to have found them if I need to!
