Fantastic experience: This is best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. I love that they offer so many services in-house, and Jalen just gave me the best teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. Kudos to the Grand Prairie Mint team. They really took care of me.

Negative experience: I had a terrible first-time experience at Mint Dentistry. My 10:00 AM appointment for a regular cleaning turned into a 3.5-hour ordeal. After waiting 30 minutes, I was told I needed 3 root canals, 2 extractions, a crown, and a deep cleaning—without much explanation or even being shown my X-rays. It felt rushed, overwhelming, and borderline predatory, especially since I just had braces and my teeth were in great condition beforehand. They numbed my mouth for the deep cleaning, but thankfully Candace, a second dentist, came in and immediately realized something wasn’t right. She took the time to re-evaluate everything and confirmed I didn’t need a deep cleaning at all. She was honest, kind, knowledgeable, and the only reason I didn’t leave completely frustrated. If it weren’t for her, this experience would have been a disaster. I appreciate Candace deeply—but beware: if you get the wrong dentist here, it could be a very unpleasant and confusing experience. Patients deserve better communication and transparency, not upselling and misdiagnoses. Candace deserves a 5 star rating!!!

Fantastic experience: Been coming to Mint for the longest time,and every time,they delivered in whatever dental procedure i had to get done,the best individuals around,blessed to have them when it is time for anything dental needed,keep up the good work.

Negative experience: Mint the time people have to wait in the lobby is horrible . You wait an average of an hour and a half to 2 hours before you get seated . This is completely unacceptable. They are so big with scheduling appointments and getting people in the door but then make them wait . This is common with all locations in the south the Cedar Hill location and the Desoto location . Mint has to do better than this ! If you have 2 hours to wait in the lobby before being seen in the back I recommend Mint. If you value you how you’re treated from from beginning to end I don’t recommend Mint !!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone one did a great job working with me. My hygienist Taylor was awesome. The young lady (I think her name was Cassandra) was patient and the Dr. answered all my questions. Plus the Lip Balm is excellent! I will be back! Thanks!

Positive experience: I went in for my six-month cleaning. The reception staff were professional. Normally I would wait at least 15 - 30 minutes before being called back. However, I only waited about 5 minutes after updating my information. The dentist and hygienist were prompt and professional.

Fantastic experience: The kids and I went to the office today for our cleanings and it was a great experience. The hygienist, Taylor, was awesome with both my kids and he also did my cleaning. Definitely will request him for future cleanings and it was one of the best cleanings I've had. Also, the manager and front desk were welcoming and helpful when I checked in.

Fantastic experience: Mint Cedar Hill has redeemed my Mint Experience. I went to a previous location twice and vowed to never go again. My friend recommended Cedar Hill & next thing you know I’m a fan. Dr Smith & Candace were great and detailed for my cleaning. I went back for a root canal & Dr Shirley and Aysha were so patient, communicative, and comforting. I was super nervous and they took there time as well as explained the process.

Negative experience: Mint is a dental insurance leech , I went in for a annual cleaning and after x-rays they wanted to do all different procedures instead of what I initially came in for, like Firestone tire you go in for a oil change and they make a million recommendations to sell to you.

He’s so thorough and even created a checklist of recommendations of things I should get. Mint is really lucky to have Taylor a part of their team. If you need an excellent hygentist, ask for Taylor! If he ever decides to leave, I hope Mint provides me with his new location because I will definitely follow him lol.

Negative experience: Do not come to this location! I recently came to this location to get worked on since I've been coming to cedar hill mint dentistry since 2021. Great service before but now don't even bother! Nothing but young lazy kids working here.They chip one of my front tooth that was already chip and made it worse! DR. SMITH didn't even want to show me the difference when they did the x-ray because it was worse than with what I came in. she said she can't do nothing about it when obviously it happened while they were scanning my tooth. Don't waste your time and money here! Also thier sunbit payment is a joke!

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with my recent visit. I had an appointment scheduled for a basic cleaning—nothing complicated—but still ended up waiting far too long past my scheduled time. It’s frustrating to make the effort to be on time, only to sit around wondering when you’ll actually be seen.

Negative experience: Mint Dentistry-Cedar Hill.....They used my family's entire annual insurance allowance and still wanted $1,300 out of pocket for a crown, after already billing my insurance $1,173. Solar Dental quoted me only $250 for the same procedure with the same insurance. I requested to speak with a supervisor about a billing issue over a month ago and never received a call back not the billing documents I requested. I decided to try again today and I spoke with the office manager, Daisy R., but the tone of the conversation was transactional at best and lacked any concern for my concerns as a customer. Keep in mind that my insurance has already been billed for a servicethat has not yet been completed. This will prevent me from using another provider for the service they have already booked for. Apparently, this is a standard practice. I've since requested to have the charge reversed so that I can go somewhere else to replace the temporary crown to a permanent one. I will say that some of the staff is great, but management could care less about your issues. They pretend to give you a discount on a service that is already marked up as if they have helped you. Managers seem to care only about making numbers rather than truly helping patients make economically smart choices based on known billing practices. Once I finish my ortho treatment, I won’t be using their services anymore. Do your research, this place is a rip-off!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Taylor, the hygienist at Mint Dental! He was very attentive and gentle throughout my visit, making sure I was comfortable the entire time. He took the time to listen to my concerns and provided helpful education on proper brushing techniques to prevent brushing too hard. He also recommended some great products to improve my oral care routine. I truly appreciate his professionalism and care—I highly recommend him!

Negative experience: I've been doing business with Mint in Cedar Hill for a while. Up until now, I've been a satisfied customer. Last visit I got a treatment plan to have extractions, a full set of dentures at the top and a partial at the bottom, for a total price, after insurance, for $3800. I obviously don't have that type of money on me, so I was sent a link to a website for a payment plan. Some so called payment plan. The company, Sunbit approved me for $600. My total is $3800. I called Mint and was told basically that's all they could do. Very disappointed. I would think for as long as I've been doing business with them, it would be a bigger effort to work with me, on helping me with my financial issue. I'm going to go search around for a better price, and a better payment plan, with some more dentist. I like Mint, just very disappointed with the assistance I got to help me financially.

Negative experience: Arrived 15 mins before appt time and did not see a “doctor” until an hour past the appointment time. While waiting in the chair I received another reminder about another appointment an hour past that. This morning I received post op instructions for a procedure I never had. Seems they have no clue what was going on. I’m seeking another dentist.

Fantastic experience: The staff at this 2nd largest busy location are very friendly and professional. They are very thorough at explaining what you need and actions that need to be taken and the order that is best. I highly recommend this Cedar Hill location.

Fantastic experience: Mint Dentistry was so kind, and just genuine about their care of me. The option of Netflix while you wait and are getting your services done is a nice touch. The bottles of water that are offered as you are in the waiting room. They even have brand chapstick. Not to mention the attention to detail, and reminders for your appointment are very needed for busy people like myself. The owners of Mint Dentistry are family friends and so knowing that their services are top tier is comforting and makes it easy to support them. Highly recommended!!

Negative experience: This location was by far the WORST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN TO. I HAD A 1PM APPT. IT IS 4:10 AND I'M Just now, leaving with only a teeth cleaning and a ton of x-rays. I never received my Crown. No one ever came to do any services for me. It was awful everyone just passed by and saw me sitting. They told me what I couldn't get what they couldn't do but never gave me a solution. Doctor Smith came and gave me a work up. She told me that I will get a mold of my mouth. No one came in to do the mold, but a hygienist came. He did my teeth Cleaning. He was very disappointed and upset that he saw me being there for over 3 hours. And I all I got was a teeth cleaning. I'm so disappointed and I will never come back. Everyone was running around laughing, talking getting people in and out. And I was left to sit in the chair from 1 PM to 4 PM with no work done.

Negative experience: First time getting my teeth extracted at this location and it was a terrible experience with Dr. Alawadi. The fact that he said he will get up and leave mid surgery if I don’t stop moving was mind blowing. He also cut my lip and was unprofessional and rude.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for my two teenagers a month ago. We showed up on time only to be told there was a one hour wait to see the dentist. What’s the point of making an appointment? The waiting area was so full there wasn’t anywhere for me and my two kids to sit. That’s how backed up they were. Stop over booking!

Positive experience: Experience is usually good, I like how close it is to my house and convenient. Staff is always friendly. Wait times tend to feel on the long side here and there but usually are not bad.

Negative experience: My dental visits are every 6 months. Typically when I am in the hygienist chair they let me know there may be findings and the MD will discuss them further. No one explained anything and upon checkout there was a long list of recommendations. I know my dental insurance is superb and this company wanted to take advantage of that. I would NOT recommend. They only see $$$$

Negative experience: I really hate this location. First visit I got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. They sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. While I should’ve been resting, I was out all day driving from pharmacy to pharmacy and calling trying to figure out where they sent it. Second visit, the wait time was almost a hour. Appointment was at 2:30 and it’s currently 3:34. I still haven’t got my cleaning

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend!! Taylor had my smile looking so good, I legit cried when I looked after. By far the most thorough clean I have ever received. The aesthetic in the office is GORGEOUS, the music in the lobby is on point and the viewing options while in the chair was a whole vibe I didn’t even know I was looking for. The staff were very attentive and took time to explain dental procedures and answered all my questions. I WILL be back.

Fantastic experience: The absolute major and most significant thing that happened during my visit was when the hygienist looked at my file and read that I had dental anxiety and said it looks like I've overcome that. I didn't know that was in my file, but I told him it was major to the point I used to be so tense and sensitive to just a touch. It was severe due to childhood dental experiences!! I told him it was Mint Dentistry that calmed me and took away that severe dental anxiety! It was at that point that I realized I was cured and hadn't felt that anxiety in years...since I've been with Mint Dentistry!! THANK YOU MINT DENTISTRY!!!!!

Positive experience: I recently visited this dental office, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the office has a nice, modern feel. However, I found the music a little too loud for my taste, which made it hard to fully relax. I was taken back for my appointment on time, but unfortunately, had to wait an additional 10 minutes before seeing the dentist. The cleaning itself went smoothly, and the staff was professional throughout. My only concern was that there were no recommendations for ongoing upkeep or teeth protection, which would have been helpful. All in all, a decent experience with room for small improvements.

Negative experience: Upon my punctual arrival to my appointment, I was promptly escorted to a room where I patiently waited for over an hour without any staff member checking in on me.

Im here to get one of my teeth bonded and it looked like I was going to need to reschedule. Tara worked it out so i could go ahead and be seen today. There is no better facility than the Cedar Hill location. The whole staff is amazing!!!!

Fantastic experience: Really had a great experience! The energy was great from the front to the back. Made a same day appointment for an extraction and crown and everything worked seem less. The entire team worked together and what typically is stressful was a smooth and believe it or not fun. I go back in 3 weeks to get permanent crown and look forward to seeing the team.

Negative experience: I am not happy. My husband had a 330 pm appt and arrived at 338 pm.at no time prior to the start of his visit was he informed that services would not be rendered in full. After x-rays were completed, he was told that it was too late to complete his prophylactic cleaning. If his visit was not possible to be completed in full, he should have been informed and given the option to stay or reschedule. Not handled in a professional nor patient friendly manner. I will be contacting the insurance company to insure that they are aware of his incomplete treatment versus his charges.

Fantastic experience: I came here for two cavity fillings today and the whole procedure was flawless, painless, and comforting. All of the staff are so nice and make the office an enjoyable environment. Dr.Mai and Dr.Alexander are two of the best dentists that I’ve had my teeth serviced from. I would definitely come back here to get further work done and my teeth and I strongly recommend that you come here!

Negative experience: I have been going to this mint for years. They have had many changes over the years always changing doctors and staff. I had a incident with getting a crown I had paid half when I knew I needed a crown was told I could split up the last two payments but when I got to my appointment for the crown was told I needed to pay in full once I paid in full lack of communication. I waited 30 minutes in the lobby then got to the back waiting another 45 minutes they numb me and gave me these shots just to tell me their machines went down and was not sure when they were coming back up I was there 1hr 45 minutes leaving with a numb mouth have to come back the next day. I came back the next day the manager was reimbursing me $100 she put it on the wrong card then swipe ny card twice for two different transactions smh. I will never come back the lack of the communication sucks here.

Negative experience: I have an appointment for 9:30 a.m. ,was told to check in 15 minutes before the appointment..I arrived at mint density at 9:05 checked in. It's now 9:52 still waiting to been seen,I was asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said no ,I just don't understand why I have to check in 15 minutes ahead of time or I will be billed 50 dollars!! 30 minutes later still waiting, this is poor management!! Not happy at all with this poor service!!

Negative experience: All the reviews are accurate. Everytime I come here it gets worse and worse. They let you sit in the waiting room for over an hour and tell you "they're running behind". Running behind is 10 minutes, not an hour. There's different faces every time I come here. It's evident why they can't keep the same staff. They rush your exams and cleanings to get back on track, that's poor care. At this point I'm just going to look for a new dentist. I can't keep wasting my time coming here and waiting for them, but god forbid you're running 10 minutes late, they'll cancel your appointment and say they can't see you today. WHY?? you'd just be sitting in their lobby anyways! They advertise sunglasses and free whitening and beats headphones but they don't even do any of that anymore. All you really are is a number and dollar signs here. Do better Mint Dentistry.

Negative experience: I don't care how many commercials air concerning how great the work done here is, if you are running at least 20 minutes behind on schedule, call your customer to alert them! This is ridiculous. The fact that none of the front desk personell is smiling, is concerning. This is a dentist office. Not the post office. Unpleasant experience

Fantastic experience: Everyone was personable, calm and professional. I felt like everyone in the building from my hygienist, to the extraction specialist , to the front desk every was polite and had my best interest. It was a very safe space and I can tell the people care about their patients and the work that they do!

Positive experience: Decor is nice. The doctor, and hygienist were excellent. However, I wasn't seen until 1 1/2 hours after my 10:15 am scheduled appointment time. After inquiring why I hadn't been seen yet, I was told I was next. Then, they had the nerve to send a text, and an email at 11:37 am stating that my appointment is now at 11:45 am.

Negative experience: Today I had an appointment for 9:45. They made me aware that they were running late, so I thought maybe a 30 minute delay I was sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. I booked this appointment, knowing that I had a cavity and got that result from another mint location. They took x-rays and couldn’t find it. I told them it should’ve been on my file. They found my file. I ask what could be done since I had been waiting so long and been in the chair five min. They said I needed another appointment because they didn’t have time. Today I paid $50 to get told about a cavity I already knew I had. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Negative experience: Wish I could have gave them no stars! I only get $1000 yearly dental coverage from my employer. Mint charged me almost #$700 for only exam and x-ray. I was only going to have enough for one side to be deep cleaned which is what I made the appointment for and I was hoping to have enough for full mouth deep cleaning. And then i was told they were to busy to do that & I would need to make another appointment. My appointment was at 9am and I didn't leave until after 11 and nothing was done. I will never RETURN

Negative experience: You guys wanna know what’s funny I have several complaints about Mint ministry. I had an appointment with them this Friday. I think I called a complaint about Service. I was getting and how they was taking me through the runaround so they sent me a letter telling me they no longer want me to come to there businesses but they have to realize we pay them. They don’t pay us and for them to tell me this is not correct the problem with the people they have working for them that tells you why Texas) giving them bad reviews.
