Smith professionals spotted this, made contact with me and worked me into the schedule. Had a great appointment with Kym and I’m all bright and shiny again. Thanks Darla for the follow up on me and my appointment! Great group of professionals plus a very fun bunch to associate with. They make going to the dentist a piece of cake, so to speak. My past dental experiences, before changing to Smith Dental, was a source of anxiety and dread. Dr. Ogletree and ALL the staff at Smith have completely changed that for me. I always receive the BEST care no matter if it’s routine X-rays & cleaning or major work that is needed. Everyone is highly skilled, professional, and KIND. The friendly atmosphere puts me at ease and any anxiety I feel fades away as soon as the interactions begin. I can say without hesitation that Dr. Ogletree is the BEST dentist I’ve ever had, and I have been to many! I am grateful that I am a patient at Smith Dental.

Fantastic experience: I needed a new dentist quickly after finding out my provider of 20 years had vanished. Called Smith Dental and they got me in quickly! Very professional from check in to check out. I saw Dr. Solomon- highly recommend him. The insurance strategy used by Snith is different from many other providers so make sure you understand that up front. They can give you tons of detail on how insurance is used for services. If you’re in East Texas this is the place to go.

Negative experience: Was charged a lot extra for a “needed deep cleaning”, the cleaning was the same as my past hygienist did as a regular cleaning with no extra charge.

Positive experience: The lady at the front desk was very helpful. This was just a consultation visit. My appointment was far 9:45 but it took a hour before I was seen. I assume they were very busy for a Monday morning.. although dr Adam was very nice he explained the different options I had.

I was very impressed with the kindness of their staff and the comfort of their facility with modern equipment as well as the skill level of their staff. From check in through treatment consultation and checkout, they were all top notch! I will definitely be back for the next step in my treatment!

Positive experience: My appt with Dr Douglas was changed from 1:30 on the 6th to 10:30 and I saw Dr Herrington for a Consultation, not Dr Douglas. He determined that my problem tooth was #21, not 19, and requested that I take the remaining Amoxicillin and see him again on the 20th. A root canal may not be required.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough nice things about Smith Dental. The whole staff there is always super nice and welcoming. Dr. Ogletree is so nice and always keeps you informed during a procedure. This is the best place to go for anyone who has dental anxiety. Hands down best dental care in East Texas!

What I thought was really amazing is that he let my brother in law grab hold of his arm as a way of showing security and comfort to my brother in law while he got the tooth out. I love the Dentists as well, both of the men I met were very compassion and had great information regarding Invisalign and veneers. They really seemed to be invested and tried their best to explain what the processes would be. Any questions I had they did their best to answer. The lady that cleaned my teeth did a fabulous job, although getting my teeth cleaned is unpleasant she made the experience bearable.

Positive experience: They always do a very good job. But it cost me $308 for cleaning, xrays, and a five minute visit from Dr. Joe. The entire time I was in their office there were at least three girls talking about recipes in the hallway. I wonder if all those employees standing around were part of the reason the price of my office visit was so high.

He called in the evening to check on my husband. We've been there many times before, this is all regular procedure for them. This is a business truly worthy of your business. Very happy wife☺️

Negative experience: Place is a rip off. Say they accept insurance. Then charge you up front cash and say you'll get refunded whatever insurance pays later! Overpriced as well got a tooth pulled in van with insurance fir 75 dollars. They charged me 315 dollars just to pull one tooth! Don't waste your time find a better dentist office!!!

Positive experience: If I am going to pay for nitrous I do not need to be told that it is high enough when I do not feel it. I was carrying on conversations with the dental assistant and she even commented there was no sign of nitrous intoxication. Very uncomfortable during the appointment. First time and hopefully the last or I will seek dental service elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I am an ex smoker so I have to have deeper cleanings and have them more often. Other places I've gone I am in quite a bit of pain when I leave. To my surprise that wasn't the case with Hope. She was great and did an even better job then other places too. I have zero hesitation going back now.

Fantastic experience: Everything About the procedure was explained to me beforehand. I was given plenty of nitrous and the other anesthetic to not have lots of pain. Dr. Joe also told me he was going to follow up later in the day about how I was feeling, and he did so.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the BEST in every way! Staff is compassionate, intelligent and helpful. Dr. Douglas extracted a tooth for me and I had NO PAIN. I usually hate the Novocain shots even more than the procedure itself, but amazingly, Dr. Douglas gave me three injections and NOT ONE hurt at all. Their practice is run like a well-oiled machine with everyone being at the top of their game! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
