Negative experience: Everyone was very nice but I felt like they were rushing me to get out. Also I asked if they could take my buttons off from Invisalign and they want to charge $200?? That’s ridiculous to me. I may try a different location I didn’t like how it felt to be rushed out on my first time visit especially since dentist appointments make me really anxious from bad experiences.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with my recent visit to MINT Dentistry and feel misled about the pricing. I called the day before my appointment specifically to ask what the cost would be for a standard teeth cleaning and was told it would be $135. However, when I arrived, I was charged $199—without anyone clearly explaining what that covered. I assumed that price would at least include the cleaning, but I was wrong. Instead, I was taken in for X-rays and a mouth exam, and then presented with a paper outlining additional charges for the actual cleaning—charges I couldn’t afford at that point. I ended up walking out without getting my teeth cleaned and still had to pay $199. I wish there had been more transparency up front, especially when I had called ahead to ask about pricing. This felt like a bait-and-switch, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Negative experience: Usually i really like MINT, after this visit i do not think i will be back. They told me they accepted my insurance and when i got to the appointment, i was informed they did not take my insurance. I still got the cleaning done but the person doing the cleaning for me did nothing when i told them they were hurting me. They usually put some music on or let you watch something on tv but it was silent in the room while i waited. Very disappointed.

Positive experience: My appointment was okay but I noticed my teeth does not feel polished after previous appointments in the past. I feel like if still has a film after the cleaning. This is the second time this year.

Negative experience: Waste of time. They overcharge you, nickel and dime you so you pay more than the $199.00! Very loud and obnoxious place and the dentist looked freakish.

Negative experience: Decent cleaning. That’s the only good thing about this place. This dentist said I needed 3 crowns. This completely differed from my visit last year to a different dentist in Roanoke. Not only did the operation differ (from minor fillings to crowns), but the teeth that needed work had changed. I’m comfortable sharing that this guy said I needed 3 crowns, because I actually don’t. His “diagnosis” differed from three other dentists I talked to. This dentist laughed at me when telling me my treatment plan about how I could pay for his vacations if I don’t fix my teeth. He said, “the longer I wait the worse my teeth will get, which is okay with me because that just pays for my cruise this year.” I’m not being dramatic with that either, that’s what he said. I just left another dentist just two weeks after seeing this guy and once again, my issues were minor compared to this dentist. On top of that, 2 of the 3 “crowns” I needed, the new dentist saw no issue with those certain teeth (4 and 19). I hadn’t told him about this visit either and the teeth Mint told me I needed work on. I rather enjoy the dentist and doctor’s visits. This visit, however, was the most uncomfortable, shameful visit I’d ever had. I would never step foot in this place again. EDIT: I just read other reviews about the dentist up charging others. I FULLY believe them. Please, if it’s just one person I convince not to come here, this whole post was worth it.

Fantastic experience: I have to give a shout out to my dental hygienist, Hang, from Mint Dentistry, NRH. Each time I go for a checkup/teeth cleaning, Hang greets me politely, is very kind, professional, and so thorough in everything she does. I would recommend her (and Mint Dentistry, NRH) without hesitation!

Negative experience: They are constantly upselling. Never do you get what you ask for. Never! They are trained to get a full mouth Xray even when you do not want it. You literally must refuse it or they do it. They run unnecessary X-rays and you have to pay for them. The doctor did not give me an answer after asking him twice why he could not replace a broken filling. He just kept saying you must get a root canal and a crown. Would not tell me why he would not simply refill the broken filling. Not only will I never go there again, I will discourage all to not go there. The lack of transparency breeds distrust. The upselling and the full mouth Xray breed distrust. Never again will I go there.

Negative experience: They will tell you a price over the phone. Said it was 50$ for cleaning with tax, ended up having to do x-rays which isn’t what I agreed to over the phone. When I got there I “had” to also pay for x-ray. They offer online and other places “free whitening” with cleaning. Never got my whitening from them. Ended up paying over 220$ for all of that with no whitening. What a scam

Positive experience: I got a good cleaning it’s wasn’t the deep cleaning experience. The process before my cleaning and the dentist coming to tell me all the expensive stuff he think I need in my mouth like no other options then walks off smh besides ex rays they take more pics basically running up the bill. I really didn’t feel that experience like advertised only from the young lady who did my ex-rays and teeth impressions for my whitening trays which they say is free but you do it yourself.
