Dr. Lopez is the best dentist I ever had, if you are scared of dentist he’s the one to go too. Thanks to his assistant who for the helping hand that I held tightly and my sister-n-law on the other side with other hand while helping me to stay calm.

Negative experience: Run-money grab. Dr. Lopez needs to work on his bedside manners and professionalism. I will leave it there.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Mint dentistry, and I had a fantastic experience. Tyla was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the X-rays and teeth whitening process. She was not only accommodating but also efficient—she even took the impressions for whitening while I waited for the dental hygienist, which I really appreciated. Nila, my dental hygienist, did a wonderful job with my cleaning. Overall, I felt very well cared for and would highly recommend their team.

She not only builds rapport but genuinely seeks to help with everything concerning the patient.Chasity was so attentive and professional especially explaining the financial aspects of the visit. She is thorough and knowledgeable especially if you need help with paying! Dr. Lopez is more than a dentist. He is a compassionate man who is focused on every aspect of your dental and oral health. He listens and understands. He doesn’t try to overwhelm you with medical lingo but speaking directly to you and address your needs. He prioritizes patient health over unnecessary procedures. He truly is willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and dental needs are met. This team make me smile for more reasons than one.

Fantastic experience: I must say out of all the Mint Denistry offices I’ve been to the experience here at the Spring location was Phenomenal!! Starting with the entrance Chasitie met me at the door with the greeting "How can I make you smile today?" I love that. Ebony my tech before taking my X-ray reassured me that she would take care of me. She made me feel so comfortable! Dr. Lopez was amazing, he explained my treatment so well, I didn’t fell anything when he numbed me for my cleaning. Lastly, my hygienist Aymee was excellent and very thorough, she talked to me through the entire cleaning and suggested what would be good for me with my oral hygiene. ❤️

Negative experience: Beware.* The Dr who was supposed to do my procedure was "running behind" so another Dr had to step in. Disappointed because they knew I had an infection while surgically removing my tooth but did not bother to inject with antibiotics. Here I am 4 days post op and In excruciating pain. The stitches are poking my gums and it's painful. I called the office and was told to give the medicine a few more days to work. It's not helping and now I have to stay in pain the whole weekend and Monday because they are closed. Will not be returning to this location after my follow-up.

Negative experience: I would give this office negative stars if I could. My son came here for an appointment on Tuesday for an exam. The office said they took his insurance, however NO ONE proceeded to tell him that they were not in his network. They took over $500 worth of his benefits for the year by charging for the exam, x-rays, and a panoramic x-ray. Then they told him he needed a deep cleaning and had multiple cavities. Not knowing any better, he allowed them to then charge his insurance for half of a deep cleaning, which they performed immediately, as well as all of the x-ray and exam fees. It wasn't until my second phone call with "Customer Relations" that I asked if they were in network and they said no, they weren't. Now it makes sense to me as to why they took his exam and all of the x-rays out of his annual benefits. Chasidee, the office manager, even admitted to me on the phone that they don't normally tell patients that they aren't in network, just that they take their insurance. She is smug, deceiving, and doesn't seem to have a conscience about what they did. He now has no benefits for insurance left for the rest of the year and only half of his mouth has been cleaned. Not once did the office ever apologize for their lack of transparency either. They are running a deceptive business when it comes to getting as much money out of a patient as possible. Even though there is no law stating dental offices must tell patients if they are in network or not, you would think they would have the decency to tell patients and be transparent about how they do business. It seems to me they are being greedy and looking to gain as much profit as possible. The Federal NSA (No Surprises Act), which aims to prevent unexpected medical bills, has specific requirements for out-of-network care, but obviously MINT Dentistry doesn't follow this. It's highly possible that it's time to get the TSBDE involved for unprofessional conduct and deceptive acts going on at this office. I do not recommend coming here at all.

Negative experience: I am currently in Invisalign treatment through Mint, I had appointment today and when I came in I was told by Charmony Pope I was not able to be seen today because I was an former employee at Mint. She had a very nasty attitude and I was belittled and treated with disrespect. Throughout my employment I was under appreciated, severely underpaid, and over worked, I put my all in my work and my patients as you can see by the top review with my photo in. I loved all my co workers and the doctor I was working for but I was tired of being treated this way by the company so I resigned from my position at a place that was voted “top 100 places to work” which is far from that. So now I am currently mid treatment and refused to be seen to complete my treatment that I paid for completely out of pocket for. I do not recommend coming to Mint dentistry as a patient nor an employee as this place is in no way luxurious, nor a “top 100 places to work” they are a money hungry corporation that offers cheap whitening kits that don’t even work and 5 cent glasses to lure patients into the door. :)

Fantastic experience: Y’all. Let me tell you about my visit to Mint Dentistry. I walked in expecting heartbreak and a $2,000 dental bill. My blood pressure was high, my stress was higher, and all I could see in my future was expensive plaque removal. Backstory: Another dentist told me I needed a deep cleaning. Insurance only covered a small part, and I’d have to cough up nearly $2,000. So, I brushed, flossed, and gargled like a man possessed—trying to avoid the cost. But no matter how clean I kept my teeth, that price tag haunted me. Then one day at work, I heard this radio ad about Mint Dentistry offering a free whitening kit and talking about “sexy smiles.” I figured I’d give it a shot. Fast-forward to my appointment: I walked in skeptical. Got a full exam. Braced for that financial gut-punch. And then… the dentist said my deep cleaning was covered by insurance. I felt like I hit the dental lottery! No cavities. Deep clean started on the spot. And shoutout to the hygienist—she was professional, kind, and only stabbed my gums lightly (it’s a talent, really). My toes curled, but it was the good kind. They asked if I’d recommend them—absolutely. I’m out here telling coworkers, family, strangers at gas stations. I’m not paid to say this (yet), but I should be. So if your teeth need some attention, go see the team at Mint Dentistry. I already booked my 6-month follow-up. I’m loyal now. – Terrance W.

Negative experience: Came as a new patient for a cleaning. They do an exam, X-rays, and over an hour later, tell me they will not do a cleaning on my teeth and can only do a deep cleaning which is 470$ out of my pocket over two visits. Such a scam and a waste of my insurance benefits. Will not be coming back.

Negative experience: Please avoid the mint dentistry in if you’re a policy holder with tertiary insurance. I had an appointment with the spring location 12/31 and was told I would have to pay $80 dollars for my visit. I currently have three dental policies. It appears the insurance center is unaware that Primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance all can be used. A tertiary claim should be submitted to the third carrier. The tertiary claim will include the explanation of benefits (EOB) from the primary and secondary carriers.

Negative experience: Let's start with the facts. Needed a root canal in back molar, paid $1000+ out of pocket to get it done at the Katy location. Over the course of a year and half, i have pain in that tooth. Moved towns, i now go to Spring location. The crown gets completely redone because it kept causing me pain, it gets shaved down over the course of a few months because it never feels quite just right. Good as new? No. My permanent crown falls off, so i go back to Mint Spring where the dentist glues my permanent crown down with temporary cement. I get an x ray and am told its infected at the bone. I am referred to an endodontist. I do research and go to a more reputable Endo where i get 3D scans done and thorough explanations. Essentially, the roots in my molar were only filled halfway down during the root canal procedure at Mint Dentistry Katy, where they should have been filled all the way down to the bone. Ultimately causing a release of toxins and creating infection. Now, I spend another $2000 to get the root canal redone at a professional Endodontist. To pay for a root canal treatment at Mint Dentistry was one of the worst things i could have done. Please, if you are told you need a root canal just skip all this nonsense that i had to go through and just go straight to the Endodontist. They specialize in these procedures and i could not recommend the experience enough. The Endo says general dentists typically don't have all the means to perform a successful molar root canal procedure, meaning Mint Dentistry is cash grabbing and not doing what is best for their patients. I have wasted my hard earned money on a failed procedure that was poorly done at Mint Dentistry. I am deeply dissatisfied with my experience here.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to MINT for years. The staff is very personable , professional and kind. It’s always a great experience and they do a wonderful job cleaning ! Their whitening kit works wonders as well. Overall , I enjoy my time at the dentist every time I go.

Negative experience: Do not go to this Mint Dentistry! They will try to scam you for more out of pocket money than what is needed. They will refuse to provide service even if it's needed. I have plaque above the gum line and they refused to clean it. They were unwilling to compromise on a financial decision to hold off until next year when my dental benefits reset. Do not waste your time here. I also felt like the staff and manager were racist towards my skin color. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost.

My Hygienist Daisy was extremely efficient in my cleaning and Dr. Patel was also very thorough in explaining everything from start to finish. Negative experience: I’ve been to this place a few times with no problem, except just right now. They charged my insurance $500 for X-rays and consult!!! And my annual max from my insurance is $1000. So, they’ve already eaten up half of my insurance this year! This is outrageous!! I’m going to a different dentist. This is stupid! And to complete my treatment of filling a few cavities and cleaning, you propose that I pay an additional almost $1500 out of pocket on top of the $1000 my insurance is paying. No thanks! I’ll go to a different dentist!
