Negative experience: UPDATE 9.25.25: I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT let them touch you. I would not recommend them since being treating here. I visited them in April for a wisdom tooth extraction. It was during this visit where Dr. Leone develop my "treatment plan". The plan consisted of her removing what she called "old decaying fillings". I asked her why would she work on that if I didn't have any issues (pain, discomfort). Her response was "so you want to wait until you're in pain to get this resolved?" I said i don't see why not. At this moment she got her staff to double down and essentially shame me for not wanting to touch teeth that were of no concern to me. She told her coordinator "Eva, Ms. Nunez here wants to wait for her teeth to get worst before she lets me treat her", her staff of course follow her lead and said I should take care of it now. Trusting their medical expertise, I caved and I regret this decision. On that day they removed an old filling resulting in me needing a crown (extra cost). They also did a filling on another tooth. I was told to let them know of any issues. Within 2 weeks I was back in the office due to discomfort from both the crown (too big) and the new filling. I was feeling pain whenever I bit down on foods as soft as scramble eggs. I return approximately 4 times for bite adjustments and the issue was never resolved. During one of the adjustments Dr. Leone raised her voice at me stating how I was JUST there last week for an adjustment and that there was nothing else she could do, that now I needed a root canal (another cost). On another adjustment day she shaved a different tooth, I asked her assistant Suzanne why she touched the tooth if there was no issue with that tooth and she told me that it is normal to slightly shave a bit of a different tooth to adjust the bite. I then started having issues with that tooth. I had full trust on this dental team so I allowed them to do their work. I returned because now I was feeling pain on the entire left side of my mouth (upper/bottom) whenever I bit down. I allowed Dr. Leone to do another filling and she placed some sort of cap for sensitivity (at an extra cost of course) and now that tooth is also painful/sensitive. On my last visit (July) i vocalized the pain I was experiencing, Dr. Leone's response was "well the x-rays don't show anything wrong". I felt invalidated and asked her if she thought I was making this up. Dr. Leone kept insisting on giving the teeth time to adjust. It will be half a year next month and I've been miserable. I have not been able to chew on the left side of my mouth due to the pain. I am also experiencing sensitivity on those teeth (never had this problem before) and I am stuck with a crown that looks like white dice. I HAVE NO CONFIDENDE IN THIS DOCTOR AND DO NOT RECOMMEND HER, she ruined my trust for dentists. I am now searching for another dentist to do restorative work on the work that this practice did. I want to be clear that my wisdom tooth extraction with the oral surgeon was spectacular. The procedure (from anesthesia to extraction) lasted less than 30 min and the only discomfort i felt was the needle from the anesthesia (common pain, it's a needle). ____________________________________ Amazing service from fronthouse to backhouse. Dr. Leone was so thorough, I've never had a doctor fully explain all of my dental needs like she did. We've developed a treatment plan and I am so happy to begin this journey to a healthy smile. Tanya was my hygienist and she was excellent. My cleaning was very gentle and fast. Eva was excellent assisting us with all our administrative paperwork. Looking forward to being back!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lee and Hygienist Jose are a dream team to make you laugh and feel comfortable. Not only is Dr. Lee incredibly professional and knowledgeable, he also works efficiently to minimize your discomfort. He can also somehow sense my anxiety about being in that chair and reminds me to breathe and relax and it really works. I will note that it is very expensive and they don’t work very well with my insurance, but I recognize this is an insurance issue. Still makes dentistry harder and more stressful. Willing to pay the money for Dr. Lee but would love if there was a better deal they could work out with insurance companies.

Fantastic experience: After finding Wall Street Dental Spa during an emergency for my spouse, I finally had my own dental emergency and made my own appointment. Lovely atmosphere and a very patient friendly, knowledgeable staff. The front desk was friendly, the hygienist, Jose was thoughtful, kind, gentle and minimized my chronic anxiety. Dr. Berwick was decisive and thoughtful. Both Jose and Dr. Berwick helped my mood with humor. Nothing was a mystery and I even sat with staff to go over costs. I'm just starting my journey with Wall Street Dental Spa but I'm actually excited to come back...which is a first for me!

Negative experience: Highly recommend reading through the negative reviews carefully, especially on Yelp. In my experience, they all turned out to be pretty much accurate. Nobody likes going to the dentist so you try to overlook small issues to just get it over with, but Wall Street Dental Spa makes it difficult with the cacophony of errors over time. The hygienists, office staff, and availability/convenience are great, but everything else is ultimately a disaster. As other have said, it's embarrassing how long it takes most of us to notice and make a change

Negative experience: Felt pressured into unnecessary services and judged for not immediately signing up for expensive and long term procedures. They very much pressured me to sign up for Invisalign and were visibly discontent when I said I wanted an orthodontists opinion. It was very unprofessional. When I returned, i was told I needed to get multiple veneers and i did not feel I was listened to. After a second opinion I only needed one bonding. They quoted me nearly 10k for the veneers that I said I did not want - my bonding cost less than 1/10 of that. Front desk staff are great though!

Negative experience: Disappointed by the Overall Experience While the hygienist was thorough, kind, and attentive to my comfort, the rest of the visit didn’t meet my expectations. The office felt disorganized, with multiple staff members coming in and out, often repeating the same information. The complimentary spa services advertised on the website were neither offered nor mentioned, which felt misleading. The dentist, although pleasant, seemed more focused on promoting cosmetic procedures than addressing my actual concerns. It left me feeling uncomfortable and not fully cared for as a patient. I visited five years ago and had a wonderful experience, so perhaps this was just an off day. I hope my feedback is taken in the spirit intended, which is to help create a more patient-centered experience. Even one off day can leave a lasting negative impression and shape how a patient views the industry as a whole. I’m still rooting for your success and wish you all the best moving forward!

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom teeth taken out here and it was a pain-free, incredibly easy time. Was super nervous, but it was so easy even with just nitros and local sedative. Making them my primary dentist, and looking forward to coming back here for Invisalign and cleanings.

Fantastic experience: I had a long time looking for a dentist in the city and found Wall Street Dental Spa after researching dentists in NYC. Going to the dentist can generate anxiousness for many of us so finding a place where I feel heard was important to me. I just recently completed my first dental cleaning with WS Dental Spa and i’m impressed. I probably had the best and most thorough cleaning that I have had in a while. I forgot the name of the dental hygienist (i believe his name is Aaron) and he was just the best. Dr. Berwick was kind and provided me with a welcoming environment. The entire team at Wall Street Dental Spa was superb and really understanding. I am looking forward to keeping up with my dental routine with them.

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist Aron did an amazing job; he was able to remove stains that several dentists in previous cleaning sessions couldn't remove, and he did so without damaging the enamel or bonding!! I highly recommended going to this hygienist. The dentist, Dr. Barak (hopefully spelled correctly) apparently came into the treatment room primarily to promote her veneer/bonding treatment. I had stains on several front teeth and really just asked for the cleaning first, but she insisted that the stains wouldn't come off and proceeded to advise me about re-doing the bonding or getting veneers, BOTH of which options entail drilling away (irreversible damage to the natural tooth!) up to 1 mm of the tooth enamel every few years. I informed her that I have a medical background myself, and I do know that the body prefers to keep its parts, as long as possible, in their natural state. She went on about a wisdom tooth with a cavity, which I opted to keep because it doesn't bother me, and stated that the body does not want to tolerate infected parts. She's clearly never heard of endocarditis. Even the totally undereducated and criminal American Medical Association has never recommended an extraction of the heart as the primary therapy for endocarditis. The hunan body is CREATED to fight infections. She then mocked the traditional term "wisdom tooth", stating that it doesn't impart wisdom, and laughed alone at her joke. That kind of talk is unprofessional and unwise. I finally requested to cut out the bs and proceed with the cleaning I had come for. The hygienist was then able to remove most of the stains which the Dr. had said couldn't be removed, and when I passed her in the hallway I happily showed her and she just made a wry face. The American Dental Association needs to stop this insanity asap. American-trained dentists are not only extracting whole teeth at will, but shaving down 1 mm of enamel off of 6-8 front teeth to sell veneers instead of doing a proper cleaning. This is irreversible, and over the years progressive, damage to permanent teeth, which are actual organs that support the human body & soul in more ways than just biting & chewing.

Negative experience: I would like to say that I NEVER write reviews unless it is positive and I want to support a small business. However, this was such an unpleasant experience I felt moved to write this. TLDR: I waited over 30 minutes for all of my appointments making me late for work, they tried to upsell me CONSTANTLY during my cleaning, the receptionist was rude regarding payment, I called and left 3 voicemails that were left unanswered until many weeks later, I had to go back 2 times to get a procedure fixed, the dentist made me feel like I was an idiot for not knowing that after a filling I would have more sensitivity (I haven't had a filling in years...aren't they supposed to make your teeth feel better, not worse??). When I told the dentist the issues I had experienced trying to get in touch with someone at her office and the fact that I had waited 30 minutes each time she argued with me and said that wasn't "the norm". She made me feel like somehow it was all my fault. Not great. I will never be returning. For more details on my experience feel free to read this: I have been to Wall Street Dental 4 times in the last few months (once for a cleaning, once for a filling, and twice to fix that filling) and each time I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. Two of the times someone finally emerged and I was told they were all "in a meeting", which...if that's the case, don't make appointments during that time. The first appointment I just went for a cleaning and I felt like every single person there was trying to upsell me. I was offered Invisalign no less than 3 times (after I repeatedly said I wasn't interested) and then at least twice they asked if I wanted teeth whitening. I just wanted a cleaning but I felt pressured the entire time to buy something else. I also felt that the receptionist was incredibly rude when I asked her about payment when I came back to pick up retainers I ordered. She told me I owed $400 and I said I thought I already paid some of that she was pretty rude and then she went back to look and said "you owe $200". To which I responded "I thought you said "$400 and she goes, "no I didn't". Cool... The second time I went in for a filling, which was fine but then I went back because it wasn't polished enough and I needed to be smoothed. I sat for 30 minutes AGAIN because of a "meeting" until someone finally helped me out. A few days after my procedure I noticed my tooth was much more sensitive than before I came in, so I left a message for who I thought I was supposed to talk to. She never returned my call so I left 2 more messages. Never got a call back. I finally just called the front desk and they were able to help but told me "the voicemails are not saving" which is why I never got a call back. When I finally got another appointment, I sat in the exam room for 30 minutes until I finally got up to leave and asked the front desk to reschedule. They all panicked and quickly got the dentist who was just sitting in her office. (I will say, the people who were working that day were very nice and apologetic which was not what I had experienced...) When I talked to the dentist I told her my tooth was hurting after they did the filling and she told me "of course it's more sensitive now you have a filling". (Again, no one told me this...) I haven't gotten a filling in YEARS so I didn't know that this was the case and she made me feel pretty dumb for my concern. She ended up putting a sealant on it which helped, but not before making me feel bad for having any issues with the procedure or how the practice was run. There's more I can write, but overall this place has a bad vibe, rude staff and I would never recommend them to anyone. Don't give them your money.

Fantastic experience: From my first phone call to walking out the door, visiting the dentist was a pleasant experience. Dr Leone is amazing! After cracking a molar, I needed a crown. They were able to get me in the next day and complete the whole procedure as well as give me a cleaning. I now have a beautiful new tooth that fits perfectly in my Invisalign tray as well. You cannot ask for more than that! Dr Leone and all her staff are not only professional and competent, they are super friendly. Wall Street Dental Spa came highly recommended and I personally back that up!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Berwick was very thorough and clear with what work need to be done. Great “dentist chair side manner.” Eva, who was in charge of explaining the costs, insurance coverage, and billing was also and helpful. She made sure I received a bill that I understood and there was no shady “here’s one price but on the way out it’ll be different “ which is something, sadly, I’ve encountered at other dentist offices. I have to go back for part 2 in 10 days and I’ll update my review then. I’m sure I’ll be just as satisfied. Part 2 Had, hopefully, the final part of this adventure. Dr. Berwick popped in the new crown. I had some concerns that I voiced. She did not dismiss me and instead clearly explained everything I was questioning, (I have an autoimmune disorder so that can create complications). She gave me timelines on healing and reassured me that if there were problems I could come in asap and they would rectify the situation. Eve then went over the bill point by point. It was exactly as explained at the beginning. Having been to several other dentists and there were issues with the quality of the work and/or the bill was different than the initial discussion, I’ve been wary. None of those problems here. Extremely satisfied. Part 3 I messed up something and had to come in for a tiny tweak. Dr Berwick was fast, thorough, and they took care of it all. So happy with NYDS!!

In addition to the great clinical care, the insurance/billing person went above and beyond to get me several documents necessary to submit to my supplemental insurer. Sure - being in the midst of a series of dental procedures is never fun. It is costly, time consuming, anxiety-producing, and uncomfortable. But the entire team here is top-notch, always prioritizing patient care.** September Update: Even when the necessary treatment is uncomfortable, the clinical care is great. The office experience is also 10, with friendly and professional admin staff. I highly recommend this practice! Still more positive comments, 2025: A much beloved hygienist left the practice, today I saw the “new guy.” He was just as talented and caring as everyone else in the office. Fantastic experience: I actually look forward to going to the dentist for the first time in my life because of Sijan and Dr. Fernandez are the best!!! Also, I have been going to them for years and I am coming back to add to this review because I just got my white spots on my teeth removed and they were pretty bad. I have had them since i was little and has just accepted that was just what my teeth were going to look like and now they are gone!! Dr. Leone totally changed my smile - she also helped smooth out a chip I had on my tooth. I can’t believe how my teeth look.

I needed Invisalign to avert potential gum issues, and received 18 trays over a 5 month period which flew by, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Negative experience: THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT NEW PATIENTS. BEWARE. Very unprofessional staff! They made me stay on the phone with my insurance for over 1h to figure out my plan because they didn’t want to do it because they are lazy! Eva asked me to call my insurance and call back the clinic twice! For then later to tell me that they don’t work with anthem blue cross blue shield smh. Worst front desk staff ever. RESPONSE: You do not verify patients insurance YOU ASK THEM TO VERIFY THEMSELVES nuance. That’s how you wasted my time in the first place. And for context, i have an amazing insurance you just don’t work with Anthem Blue cross blue shield so SAY that instead of saying a bunch of lies. Normally when you are a new patient it’s the clinic/hospital job to call the insurance to figure out coverage but since your clinic is run by a bunch of snobby and lazy staff you asked me to call my insurance to figure out all the details beforehand. The only reason why i kept going back and forth in the first place is because i thought based on your “alleged good reviews on here” it was worth the time and frustration but I should’ve listened to my intuition. You called me to delete my review because you want to save face and not be exposed with this unethical behavior of yours. My review will stay here and people need to know what they are getting into when they are new patients at your clinic. Now im starting to believe most of your reviews are scams - and thank you for the hostility over the phone. I’m glad i never set foot in this nasty place. There are so many amazing clinic in nyc, matter of fact i found one even better - im going to stop wasting my time responding to you now. Peace out

Negative experience: It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out this dentist was a total scam, so I'm writing this review to try and help the next person. Wish I had read reviews on some other sites first. I went for years because it was conveniently located and the hygienists were very pleasant. When my wife started going she was told she needed some procedure for several thousand dollars and she got it, trusting that they knew what they were doing, but in hindsight she had no symptoms before and quite a bit of pain afterwards. But her pain went away in a few days and life is busy; we stopped worrying about it, although she stopped going to that dentist. I kept going every three months for cleanings (their recommendation to be more frequent) and they kept trying to sell me 'perio protect', which is a retainer that costs $1000. I always figured it was an upsell that I didn't need, but they can be charming and the office looks very professional. Eventually I figured, why not take care of myself? I paid up front, out of pocket, and the retainer was supposed to be delivered in a week when they would call me to come get it, but they never called. When I came in for my next cleaning in three months later, I inquired about the retainer and they scoured the office for it but eventually figured the order had never been transmitted to the lab. Ok, things happen - I was annoyed but not dramatically so. Then the wheels came off: after my cleaning, the dentist came in and told me it was a blessing in disguise that the retainer had never been made because I needed $5,000 Invisalign, and the retainer would need to wait until after I had my teeth straightened. While I was disturbed they had pushed me so hard to get a treatment they were not telling me I shouldn't have gotten yet, at least they were now figuring it out. Mistakes happen. Ok great, I said, you can refund me for the perio protect retainer, and when I'm ready I'll do the Invisalign. But as soon as the word 'refund' came out of my mouth, everything changed. The dentist berated me that it 'didn't work that way', and I had already paid for the retainer (which was supposedly never transmitted to the lab!), then she stormed out of the room. The business manager came in and tried to convince me to just do the Invisalign, but eventually she promised to speak with the owner and call me the next day - and that she would get me the refund. She never called. When I called back later, the business manager promised to mail me the refund to my house. Two weeks later, still no refund. Unfortunately, if I want my money back from these thieves who are hocking medically unnecessary treatment, I guess I'll have to sue. Learn from my mistake, don't go near this dentist.

Today I came for a cleaning and from the very beginning I was impressed by the attention to the patient - the staff is polite, friendly and ready to answer all questions. The appointment process was quick, without any delays. The clinic itself is modern, with clean and cozy rooms. All the equipment is the latest, which gives confidence in the high level of service. The doctors were professional as always, explained everything before the procedure, carefully examined and offered the best treatment plan. Also, the hygenist Tanya is a professional in her field, during the work she regularly clarified how comfortable I was, which is especially important during dental procedures.
