Fantastic experience: Dr Chen, the assistant, and staff were all very professional, courteous, and kind. Dr Chen kept me informed, checked on how I was feeling, and has a natural calming demeanor. The technique she used to administer shots was amazing. Thankfully, after my procedure, numbness wore off, with a small dose of OTC meds, 24 hrs later, I only have mild tenderness. Recommend Dr Chen and group for your Endodontist needs.

Fantastic experience: I kept putting off extractions because I thought it would be an unpleasant experience, but Dr. Colella and his team made it quick and easy. When I asked about insurance coverage and the overall cost, I was able to get a quick answer and paper copy of exactly what was what. Scheduling appointments was also a breeze even with my packed schedule.

Positive experience: The Oral Surgeon Dr Colella and assistant was absolutely amazing and did a phenomenal job I would definitely give 5 stars to them My issue is with the way the office handles appointments and what is covered and what is not. So then you’re getting a surprise for what is covered and not covered after your appointment. If you go to a primary dentist and they take X-rays etc then you’re referred to a specialist you are charged for those when they take them. Is this an issue that doesn’t need to happen, the staff should be able to provide the patient a estimate and explanation of benefits prior to treatment like it’s done for the procedure the patient came there for. In this day and age these answers should be readily available to the patient prior so they can make an informed decision on what they want not this is what we’re doing and change the patient without being able to understand the cost

Fantastic experience: amazing!! staff is so kind. went in for a wisdom teeth consultation, had an appointment in 2 weeks! surgery took 16 minutes and everyone made sure i was comfortable and understood what was going to happen. went home a little sore but still feeling great:) could not recommend Dr.Colella and his team more!!!

Fantastic experience: Visiting an oral surgeon is a gotta do - not something you’d look forward to. Unfortunately, I really needed a tooth out and clearly, I went to the right place. I did my intake online so my first visit would be streamlined. The office staff was great and got me right back. My dentist and his right hand person were a delight - I was so surprised to learn we would be able to extract the tooth right away and was thankfully reassured it would be painless - and it was! I’m so thankful for the gracious delivery of services and would highly recommend this practice to others. Thank you team!

Fantastic experience: The dentist that I saw today did in 10 minutes what the dentist on kempsville didn't do after two visits. The konikoff office on Battlefield was working on my partial before my gum was healed. They made adjustments around the non-healed areas. In my opinion, too much was happening at the same time. The partial will now need to be corrected back to where it was and start over making adjustments. .

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I've ever gone to. I have dental anxiety, and the nurse in the pink scrubs was a total sweetheart. Helped me calm down, explained everything that was going on in a way I could understand, as well as being a total sweetheart all around. I originally went in for an extraction, and during the process, both of the people in the room comforted me to the highest degree and made sure it was as painless and comfortable as possible. 100000/10, highly reccomend ! They also gave me a cute lil goodie bag as well that contained an ice pack, extra gauze, and a tea bag to help with any afterbleeding. Definitely a hidden gem of a dentist

Fantastic experience: My dentist was attempting to do a tooth extraction on July 30th, but after several topical numbing gels & 5 injections, which failed, the decision was made to refer me to an oral surgeon. I was able to get an appointment the next day on the 31st. with Dr. Peter Colella at Dental Specialty Center at Landstown Commons. The office staff was very friendly, welcoming and caring. My wait was less than 10 minutes. Dr. Colella is very personable and truly concerned about the care and comfort of his patient. Everything was explained during each step of the process. In less than 30 minutes, I was done. And grateful to be relieved of my incredible tooth pain.....I highly recommend Dr. Colella and his dental practice. They are the BEST!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Colella was absolutely amazing and made my experience here so much better along with the ladies who worked with him (so sorry I cannot remember their names, but they were amazing.) I was so nervous, terrified even, when I was told that I had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I went in on August 4th for a consultation and they were able to get me in there August 8th which made me so grateful because they were causing me SO much pain. Dr. Colella and his team made sure I was well informed and aware of what would be happening. I was given the option to have IV sedation and as someone who has never gotten this before, it was a pleasant experience and made the procedure pain free and smooth. The staff is so friendly and the office is clean and well put together. My appointment was at 11:00am, we arrived around 10:40am and they immediately took me back and I was out of there at 11:40am!!I would definitely recommend coming here to get work done!!

Fantastic experience: On Wednesday (Aug. 6th) I was dreading going to the dentist. I was scheduled to have three teeth pulled. I arrived at about 9:45 for a 10:00 appointment and was back home just after 10:30 after a very smooth painless procedure. Dr. Colella was great. Dr Colella is very friendly, calming and an absolute expert in his profession. I also want to thank his assistant, Richard. Richard was very friendly and professional. He explained everything. Fantastic experience: Thoroughly listened to all my concerns and took them seriously. When I mentioned using smoothing other than just numbing he gave me other options not like other dentist saying no you are only getting numb. He explained everything that needed to be done and told me I could do it at my pace. He took my medical issues into consideration. I was very impressed and that rarely happens. I have tricare. So what I had left to pay wasn’t terrible. Worth it for a painful tooth to be taken care of by the best!

Negative experience: Medical assistant asked me to sign forms and I asked to wait till I see how much it would cost and got an attitude and walked away saying your going to make the process longer but what ever. Very rude and very unprofessional stuff but the doctor was amazing

Fantastic experience: Nobody likes to go for a root canal, but I had great confidence in Dr. Malki. He was patient and kind explaining what the best treatment options were. His skills were excellent, and I believe the practice has the state of the art equipment. The procedure was painless once the block was initiated. He texted me the next day to see how I was doing and that was much appreciated. He emailed a copy of the office visit and procedure note to me and is sending to my dentist. All very comprehensive and thorough. The only issue I had was when I had my consult, I was told the practice didn't take my insurance. This wasn't true as I had gotten the practice name from my insurance. If it wasn't covered, why did I drive over an hour to then be told when I walked in? My insurance company talked to the front staff to clear up the misunderstanding. The receptionist was very kind and apologized. I only need to hear "sorry" to be glad I was able to continue my consult and root canal the next day. I had to keep calling to get an earlier visit which I ultimately was able to do. I highly recommend Dr. Malki and Dental Specialty of Virginia Beach.

After calling several places, I was able to get him an appointment in a few days and treated the same day! Dr. Chen was AMAZING! Fantastic experience: I never write reviews but after my son had his second great experience with Dr Collela and the staff I felt it was time to write a review. Great office, great staff and Dr Collela set us at ease and did great work removing a mass at the floor of my son's mouth and later extracting all four wisdom teeth. Highly recommend. I didn't catch all of the other staff member names and wish I could list them here but caught Richard's name and he was very informative and light-hearted which is what you need when meeting with an oral surgeon and you are nervous.

Fantastic experience: They had an appointment within days of referral. Dr. Malik made a quick assessment and gave me lots of options for treatment which I appreciated. I went there thinking I needed another root canal or extraction and for now need neither! So many dentists are quick to do an extraction or surgery when it’s not needed right away. I liked that he did a thorough exam, tested, and I walked away with a better understanding of the issue. Glad the dentist I went to referred me out to him.
