Fantastic experience: I am a client of Smile USA way back 2008 when they were still in Union, NJ. It's been a wonderful experience every time I come for my yearly routine dental check up and cleaning twice a year. I am scared of needle injections however, when I had my 4 implants done on 2011, Dr. Iyer was so good and patient with me during the process. He did an awesome job, with Terry's assistance and assurance that I will not feel any pain. I still go to their Elizabeth office, even though, I moved farther, its worth the drive to spend my weekend with accommodating and helpful staff of Smile USA. Janet and Michelle are both excellent with their job of handling appointments, insurance approval and bills in general, specially when you have last minutes unexpected change of plans. I always look forward to see Cynthia and Sana for my twice a year routine cleaning/check up. They were an awesome team. Sana gets you ready and makes you comfortable while waiting. Cynthia was very mindful and thorough with her job. Dr. Chaudry gives the final check up, to make sure that everything is taken care of and you leave with a bright smile!

Fantastic experience: I was having trouble with sensitive teeth even after trying the toothpastes so friend referred me to Malo and specifically mentioned Dr. Easha. It was super quick and easy to book an appointment online and I was seen promptly when it was time for my appointment. The office was also super clean and nicely decorated for Halloween. Dr. Easha identified easily and explained the issue in a simple way that I could understand without trying to upsell me on anything.

Staff is extremely polite and they walked me to my procedure room. And after numbing me, Dr Iyer took my tooth out so quick and easy. Not a drop of blood!! Fantastic experience: Dentistry is an art as well as a science and Dr. Shankar Iyer is probably the foremost practitioner I have seen in 40 years. I have poor teeth and have needed simple fillings, crowns, wisdom teeth removal, extractions, implants, a sinus lift. In every case, when he has been involved, the experience has been pain-free (both during and after). In every case, I have walked into the treatment terrified by what I read in various internet sources and walked out pleasantly surprised as to what my experience was. His staff and other dentists in the practice are phenomenal too. I would especially thank Lisa and ther hygienist for being so friendly and stress reducing. I would recommend him highly. I wish him a long and productive career - I still have a few teeth to be worked on!

Fantastic experience: I have entrusted my dental care to Malo Smile USA. Dr. Shankar Iyer at Malo is an internationally recognized dentist with accolades from all over the world. One of my teeth was severely affected by gum recession and it had started to ache. Dr. Iyer's advice to me was that it should be extracted as it could not be saved. He performed the extraction and bone graft today. There was virtually no pain at all. He and his supporting team are skilled and caring. The facilities are immaculate. Fantastic experience: I want to give a big shout-out to Julissa, Dr. Shah, and Barbara! Another dentist had ruined my denture, so I had to return to see Dr. Shah. Julissa was so patient and caring—she listened to my concerns and worked hard to fit me in for an earlier appointment. On the day of my visit, Dr. Shah was busy, but Barbara kept checking on me, making sure I was okay because I was feeling pretty down about the situation. When Dr. Shah saw me, she went above and beyond to make my denture right again. She was incredibly patient, calm, and caring, taking the time to measure and adjust everything to make sure I was comfortable. I’m usually scared of going to the dentist, but not with Dr. Shah—she is truly the best! I’ve been telling everyone about how wonderful my experience was.

Negative experience: The worst dental place EVER, besides not answering the phone. I went for a consultation 10 months ago paid $150 out of packet my insurance doesn't cover major dental procedures but I've going to different specialist for quite some time to get my teeth fixed. Well they did some high quality xrays and I was send to get blood test to make sure I don't have bone density issues. Well after the blood test I didn't hear back from them, I called them many times but they kept saying the Dr. will get back to you for the results, well he NEVER DID, until someone call me back on February to schedule a follow up!!!! Im like follow up base on what? I haven't even seen the results. Receptionist said we'll your blood work is now 3 months old, you'll need to see the doctor again (pay another $150) to get another order for blood work. SERIOUSLY!!!!. I asked for the records to go else where and they REFUSED to provide them. I asked for the Dr. To call I'm sure you already know what happened right??? He never did. Not only I waisted money but time which i don't have, do to the severity of my issue. They have no consideration, care or even decency with the Patient. DID I MENTION I WAS N GOING TO PAY FOR WHAT EVER I WAS GOING TO NEED TO GET DONE??? not my insurance or sugar daddy.

Positive experience: They never answer the phone and when u leave a message they don’t call you back. I went there for a consultation but I really didn’t feel like they were providing a reasonable cost saving. They have a fancy schmancy X-ray system that takes a 3d image of your mouth which they want to use, and charge extra, just because they have the technology. Really didn’t t think it was necessary for my concern. It’s an Indian-run franchise, that seems to provide quality services, but I ended up not going there for my crown because it was far from my home and because this hole setup felt like a big business. I think the cashier used my card details to charge a purchase at Walmart. Can’t prove it tho but it happened on the weekend after I was there.

Positive experience: The office was very clean and the staff were friendly and polite. However, I was told they were short-staffed, and I ended up waiting quite a while past my scheduled appointment time to be seen. Once I was in, the experience felt a bit rushed and sales-driven. They were very pushy about what treatments I should get and emphasized that I needed to move forward with them right away. They also tried to sell me a $200 toothbrush, which seemed excessive. While the space was well-kept and the employees were nice, the overall focus felt more about money than care.

Negative experience: The billing department is a complete mess. Every interaction l've had with them has been frustrating and unproductive over the 7 years that I have been a patient. Enough is enough. They constantly make errors, whether it's overcharging, misapplying payments, or false promises. On top of that, getting in touch with someone who can actually resolve an issue is nearly impossible. Calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and when you do finally reach someone, they often give conflicting information. I have been trying to resolve an incorrect invoice since July of 2023. Almost 2 years! In April of 2024 I was told this was handled and finally fixed. Had not heard anything since. Until…I received an email last week and again today about that same misapplied invoice (that was allegedly resolved)- it’s an understatement to say I was shocked. You are better off going somewhere else who won’t put your credit at risk. I wonder how many people have been falsely charged and just paid to not deal with this? Legal issue waiting to happen. Additionally let me add - I was never even able to finish my last full appointment there because I had an hour and 15 minute wait past my schedule appointment time. I understand things happen, but any time I had a scheduled appointment, I was left waiting for no less than 40 minutes beyond my scheduled time..every time and even when I arrived on time. My last appointment I had to tell the dentist I needed to leave because it had already been 2.5 hours since I arrived and needed to get back to work. No respect for others times. Also since my appointment was rushed - I was left feeling uncomfortable for months since the work done wasn’t done properly. It’s sad. I had so many great experiences here before. This place was so great but these things make a big difference. Not sure what happened.
