Negative experience: This place is horrible! I was a patient in this orthodontist and i have been there for a year. They told me i needed two teeth extracted, later to find out that makes the process much longer and cause an over bite that they would not even address before getting the teeth removed. They shouldn’t have a sign asking for five stars for gifts because if the people were satisfied they would have done it without getting a gift. I was there for a year as i said before and i’ve asked when would my gaps would go away and they said that i’m still at the start!! My new orthodontist had said that the teeth token out would turn out to be a problem in the future (causing an over bite) and i got power chains on that is making my teeth straight and no gaps. One time when i was at an appointment the people (one working on my teeth and the other just walking around) btw my appointment was past 2 and what u have read they had there lunch break at 1 so they were saying hurry up to go and eat when they should take there time on the patients. Also a girl was working in my teeth and using a tool and she slipped and hurt my gum really bad, i get it was a mistake but she should if been more careful they seem so unprofessional. As i said i moved orthodontist and they are still taking money from my mom!!! I haven’t had an appointment for a month since i last been there and still charged her and they know i moved orthodontist so why still charged her. I would give them a zero review if i could horrible DONT GO THEY WELL MISS UP THERE TEETH.

Negative experience: I made a mistake in taking my daughter there. The doctor order to remove two teeth on the bottom to make the process faster. I been taking my daughter there for a year and I haven't seen any progress on her teeth instead her teeth were all separated. My daughter didn't really liked the office so I took her to a different office and the doctor ask why the two teeth were removed. He said that it wasn't necessary . Now the process is taking longer.
We’re disappointed to read this review, as it contains serious inaccuracies and omits critical context about your daughter’s treatment. At Castilla Orthodontics, every treatment recommendation is made by a board-certified orthodontist after a thorough diagnostic evaluation. When patients have baby teeth that have no adult teeth underneath, it is common to recommend extraction of the baby teeth and closing the space so that the patient later does not have to deal with dental implants since baby teeth are not meant to last a lifetime. Gaps during treatment, especially after extractions, are not only normal and an expected part of the process, they are temporary. They are always closed as treatment progresses. Orthodontics is not an overnight transformation—it’s a carefully timed and sequenced plan to ensure a healthy and stable result. What’s even more concerning when you called us to say you were transferring your daughter’s care, you also admitted you had not regularly attended your daughter’s appointments and had never shared your concerns with our doctors. We encouraged you to speak to a doctor and you said you would at her next visit. Unfortunately we believed you but instead you just chose to never come back and write this inaccurate and unfair review. We pride ourselves on open communication and patient education, and unfortunately, that opportunity was missed. As for the new orthodontist's remarks, if they were made without reviewing your daughter’s full clinical records with what she looked like before starting treatment, they are not only irresponsible, but professionally inappropriate. No reputable provider should make assumptions about a case they didn’t diagnose or treat from the beginning. We stand 100% behind the care and recommendations we provided. Our only goal is to give patients the healthiest, most stable, and most beautiful smiles possible—using sound clinical judgment and ethics. We wish your daughter the best and hope you share any concerns you have with the new orthodontist.

Negative experience: First off they told my daughter she needed braces put them on same day chipped her front tooth after taking her to have her tooth looked at they tell us that she is not a good canidate for braces had to pay to have them removed her tooth fixed then they tell me they would credit her debit card back the money she put down 2 months later there trying to charge her bebit card again still no refund then send it to collections now have to take them to court to get her money back and removed from her credit collections all over them not wanting to pay her back a couple hundred dollars and remove from credit reporting not to mention didnt ask to pay for fixing her tooth but they will now

Negative experience: Well Let’s get started. I wouldn’t even give them one star. When I first started with my braces, everything was going well. The office is clean. All the dental assistants are nice including the doctors. However, why on earth are the appointments so far apart within months? I’m talking about 3-4 months APART. My last two recent appointments I had a dental assistant tell me I could transition to chains. Isn’t it suppose to be a doctor legally to say and tell them to do so?. I did not have any doctor look at my teeth whatsoever.AGAIN My last two appointments I have had no doctor looking at my teeth AT ALL. Only a dental assistant. Ive had these over two freaking years. I still currently have braces with this company and I will not be recommending anybody after this. I am not happy at all. I have an appointment coming soon the dental assistant told me if my teeth do not close they might use rubber bands. If not, they might remove my braces that’s if my spaces close. If that is the case, I hope a doctor sees and can confirm all of this. Whatever the situation is going to be. I do not appreciate this at all. I will take accountability on my end of having to move a lot of appointments. I am mother I did recently have a C-section. But appointments 3/4 months apart is ridiculous as hell. I am expecting better. Because I didn’t pay over $2,000 for nothing

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that you’re feeling frustrated, especially since you mentioned that when you first started with your braces, everything was going well, the office was clean, and that our assistants and doctors were all kind and professional. That is exactly the experience we strive to deliver at every visit—and it’s still the experience we’re committed to providing moving forward. That said, we feel it’s important to clear up some misunderstandings: First, no orthodontic treatment decisions are ever made by assistants. When an assistant places chains or makes any adjustments, they are following exact instructions written in the doctor's clinical notes after careful review of your case. In orthodontics, not every visit is a “doctor visit” in the traditional sense—just like when you go to your physician’s office and are sometimes seen by a nurse or PA, there are times in ortho when the doctor doesn’t need to check the teeth unless specific progress evaluations or new decisions are needed. This is both safe and standard in all orthodontic offices. Secondly, we never schedule any patients 4 months apart. That’s simply not our policy. The maximum interval between appointments is 12 weeks (about 3 months), and many patients come every 6–8 weeks, depending on their stage of treatment. For example patient’s whose teeth are still aligning will be recalled every 10-12 weeks but patients who are getting their spaces closed, will be recalled every 5-6 weeks as you yourself have experienced. If your appointments have been farther apart than that, we’re grateful you acknowledged that it’s due to rescheduling on your end—something we completely understand, especially with the demands of motherhood and recovering from a C-section. However, as with any medical office, rescheduled appointments are subject to the next available slot, which can unfortunately delay progress through no fault of the clinical team. As for your concern about rubber bands please rest assured that using rubber bands to help close spaces is standard in orthodontic treatment and any decisions about placing you on rubber bands can only come from the doctor. As far as your results we can 100% guarantee that your doctor will absolutely make the final decision about whether your treatment is ready to finish. No braces are ever removed without a thorough evaluation and clinical approval from your orthodontist. We know how much trust it takes to go through this process, and we’re truly committed to earning that trust again. If there’s anything unclear or if you’d like a more in-depth progress review directly with the doctor, we would be happy to schedule that for you. Your satisfaction matters deeply to us—not just as a patient, but as someone we care about and want to see finish strong. We’re here for you and remain committed to your smile. Fantastic experience: Before finally making the decisions to get braces for myself I had done several consultations and the cost/payments at other orthodontists was overwhelming. Then I saw an add for Castilla so I decided this was going to be my last consultation, if it didn’t go well then I’d be done trying. The consultation went great, the monthly payment was more than reasonable so I took the plunge and so far my experience has been great. We even had our oldest daughter get braces here, and even though she stared her treatment plan after I did and then had hers removed while mine are still on, I’m not bitter!

Fantastic experience: I have had my braces for almost a year now. All of my interactions with staff at Castilla Orthodontics have been positive and kind. Positive experience: How is it my fault that you only have one receptionist and in front of me are 4 patients waiting also to be helped And I'm considered late. Other than this dentists and assistants are great.But this is absolutely ridiculous and then on top of that, i'm still pushed out two months as the soonest appt

Negative experience: My wife went in for a consult including X-Rays and a treatment plan for braces. It took more than an hour to call her back. Stephanie is a sorry excuse for a “receptionist”. She looked my wife up and down, then proceeded to ignore her and not call her up. No “hello, how may I help you” or any type of introduction. When my wife did interact with her, Stephanie was rude and short. She should also work on her professional appearance as messy hair with dirty cheap blonde tips is not the appropriate look for a receptionist. Awful customer service at this business. Then the doctor proceeded to recommended 3 tooth extractions which is clearly a money grab since my wife has already had braces in the past, and had 2 other consultations with no mention of any type of extraction. This is clearly just a cash grab business wanting your money. They also have the gall to persuade you to write a 5 star review in exchange for a 5$ gift card??? Like who does that? Awful. 1 star. Wish I could go lower.

We only wish she would have voiced her concerns to us directly so that we could have addressed them in real time and ensured she left our office feeling heard and supported. However, since you chose to speak on her behalf—despite not having attended the appointment yourself—we’d like to clarify a few important points: First, your comment that your wife “waited more than an hour to be called back” is factually incorrect. She was brought back for records within 2 minutes of her arrival, and her full appointment—including photos, X-rays, and a comprehensive consultation with the doctor—lasted approximately an hour in total. Perhaps if you had been present, you would have had a clearer understanding of the visit timeline. Second, your description of our receptionist Stephanie, including her physical appearance, is not only unfounded and inappropriate, but also entirely uncalled for. Resorting to personal insults about someone you’ve never met undermines any constructive feedback you may have intended. It’s difficult to understand how you formed such strong opinions about her demeanor—or hairstyle—without ever setting foot in our office. As for the treatment plan: our Board-Certified Orthodontists base every recommendation on sound clinical judgment. If extractions were suggested, it would have been due to specific orthodontic needs—not as a “cash grab,” as you claim. In fact, orthodontists do not perform extractions and always refer those procedures out to general dentists or oral surgeons. There is no financial gain to us in making such recommendations. You also expressed frustration that our recommendations differed from other consultations. But isn't that the purpose of seeking multiple opinions? To explore different perspectives and treatment philosophies? If all doctors gave identical recommendations, there would be no need for second or third opinions. Finally, regarding reviews: like many businesses, we invite our patients to leave feedback about their experience. We cannot force anyone to leave a 5-Star Review anymore than we can prevent someone from leaving a 1-Star Review-even from someone like you who was never actually a patient or even a visitor in our office. The fact that Castilla Orthodontics has earned over 2,000 five-star reviews speaks to the consistent quality of care we provide. We remain committed to creating a positive, welcoming experience for all of our patients and their families. Negative experience: This Place is the worst place to go to get braces . Never have time to change rubber bands not once have I talked to the doctor about my braces and I’ve had them on for almost 2 years . Way to busy

Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough how great Castilla Orthodontics staff is . Never a dull moment at each appointment I go to . They are gentle people that actually care about their patients. So far the best experience with an orthodontic clinic .
