Negative experience: My dog has been a patient for over a year here and today because she is puking cannot be seen and I was told to go to an emergency vet. Now here I am spending over $1000 during christmas time on an upset stomach for what reason? All tht sounded like to me is "we are not competent enough to take care of your animal" I'll be taking my services elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at Arbor View Animal Hospital is truly the best. They are not our regular vet for our pets, but they very well might become ours in the future. I brought my cat Peach here back in March, they were able to see her immediately when our usual vet was not available. Long story short, she had a kidney issue that she ultimately ended up passing from. But in the few weeks that we were in & out having them run tests on her, treat her, etc. they were nothing short of amazing and gave Peach all the love and attention they could. I was grateful for Dr. Conolly's expertise and care. Fast forward to today, I had another issue come up with another one of our cats, Mario, and again they were able to see us immediately to take care of a wound underneath Mario's tail. When I called to make the appointment, they were able to see me 20 minutes later and Dr. Love took care of him, again when our usual vet could not. Thank you all so much for the compassion and great care you provide!

Fantastic experience: I brought my dog to Arbor View for growth removals the staff from the front desk to the techs are kind,compassionate and professional. The fee for rhe services rendered was less than other clinics quoted and the customer service was excellent. I would not hesitate to bring my dog back to them.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff who truly care! I've taken my guinea pigs to them before but this time I had an emergency and brought my piggy in with an eye problem. Not only did they see me right away without an appointment but while I was thinking the worst, they were able to remove a large piece of hay from her eye within just a few minutes of seeing her. Thanks again Arbor View for your amazing staff and the great work that you do!

Negative experience: Was charged a total of 700 dollars for my chinchilla with no real diagnosis and was told if she dies it was probably gonna happen. A Google search and having another vet look at her poop we found she has a parasite. Also the 3 vets and assistants who handle her didn't disinfect the room and touched her bare handed and probably spread it to other pets. I also asked if she should be confined from my other chinchilla and was told no. Well it is contagious and now my other chinchilla probably has it and also can be spread to other animals. I have 3 dogs and if they get sick this place is gonna pay for all their medical bills from gross incompetence. I was told she has ammonia. For a pet that's eats and lost alot of weight and cant walk straight you think they would at least have a better diagnosis. They also wanted to change me an additional 1300 dollars dor a CT scan that would have shown nothing. Blood work and fecal sample is what they should have done first.

Fantastic experience: We have a shelter dog who is extremely anxious and fearful of the world. I chose Dr Love because of her Fear Free certification. She was very in tune with my dog's behavior and adjusted her exam based on him. We accomplished what was needed in a stress free way and I am so pleased and grateful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Herbert seemed to have a well rounded knowledge of skunks. I was very worried about not only getting my skunk help after her seizure but also finding a vet who knew about and feels comfortable with skunk health. Everyone I talked to was very personable and understanding, they would explain things thoroughly. I left the appointment feeling so much more at ease regarding my skunk’s health and truly trust the hospital.

Negative experience: took my rat peach here. first time taking one my rats to a vet. he was not eating or moving very much and seemed in pain. they examined him and recommended a few things to help him get better. i left feeling very positive with the impression that he would get better as i was not lead to believe otherwise. he died 20 minutes after leaving the vet. they gave him draxxin (antibiotic) and fluids. i asked if they thought the fluids would truly make a difference (i am young and don’t have much to spare but was, as i have reiterated many times, happy to pay for my animal to get better.) and was told they were pretty important to the recovery process. i let them know he died before i even made it back home and of course they were sympathetic and told me i could bring back the unopened critical care ($16) (paste food to feed him with a syringe) but that they would not refund me for any of the treatment. i want to meet them halfway and understand that and i don’t expect them to predict the unpredictable but i feel mislead about the severity of his condition. this has honestly made me extremely scared and untrusting of any future vet trips and i feel like all i left with was a dead rat and fake sympathy. i’m very glad the majority of clients they have had a good experience but i will not return here.

Fantastic experience: We have been taking our Golden Retriever to Arbor View for a year now after we had a couple of negative experiences at a different vets office. Our dog gets so excited to actually go to the vet because he knows he gets so much love and attention. The doctors are all great. We would definitely recommend Arbor View!

Fantastic experience: We've been coming to Arbor View since my husband and I got a tortoise for our second anniversary 10 years ago! They have been with us through bearded dragons, uromastx lizards, a tortoise, 5 cats and a dog. As long as we have pets, we will be coming back to them. Negative experience: Im so disappointed at the lack of compassion today. I have had multiple rats seen there and eventually euthanized. Each time they have provided me with paw prints. So I have a little memorial with all their pictures and pawprints. They would not do paw prints for me today. They are using new cremation services which do pawprints. Im not having my rat cremated. So what am I supposed to do? Send the body for prints and have it sent back? So here ivam grieving my pet alone. Racing the clock bc its already been 1.5 hours to drive home and he's already stiffening up. Trying to manipulate my dead pets body on my kitchen counter while crying, trying to get some paw prints. Up until today I would have felt different. But today I feel like some ink prints on small animal going home to be buried would have shown just a little compassion. I've been a repeat owner bringing all my rats there. They've done it for me for each of the others. Just one more? I'd have gone and bought cardstock and ink if they stopped keeping any and that was the issue. I just needed help and to not have to go through that after putting my loved pet down.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been here in years but came back today with my cat. These doctors and everyone who works here are so considerate. They are so compassionate. So much better then Hobart. I need to start coming here instead. If you have never been here then you are missing the care your pet needs.

Fantastic experience: We have been going to Arbor View for 25 years starting with Dr. Darts, That tells you that they give quality care to our cats. I am so, sp grateful to the veterinarians and staff saving my Little Guy in June....he would be grateful if he could. Only 3, he has a complicated kidney condition, and working together adjusting medication, reasearching new medication and the wonderful personal care. I see the staff so friendly and caring for all the animals that come there. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I first came to Arbor View with a cat we had rescued on a Sunday afternoon mid winter so needed a Monday asap appointment to get her checked out. I called Monday morning and had an appointment later that day, as a new patient! The staff were amazing. Answering all of my questions and concerns, as I haven’t had a cat in almost 20 yrs. After leaving the appointment the follow up was better than expected. I since have transferred my dog to Arbor View. The vet I had been taking him to for years just doesn’t come close as far as customer service or seeming to care about the pet/owner experience. I just became used to it I guess. I was offered an appointment 2 weeks from when I called to get the cat in, just as an example. Arbor View has a genuine love for animals and their people. The customer service is unmatched. Everyone I have met or observed there exudes positive vibes. Their hours are great too, along with their additional services offered. It truly is a one stop shop for all your pets needs. Another important thing to note is their pricing is really good! If you are looking for a vet that really cares for your pet and you, this is the place. Genuine people, simply doing it right. Fantastic experience: This was mine and my Dexter first time here and it won’t be the last. The wait time was short and the staff from the front desk until Dexter’s post op discharge was smooth and friendly. I was scared and prepared for the worst scenario but there was plenty of reassurance and attentiveness. I will definitely bring my other fur babies here from now on.

Fantastic experience: As many know, it is truly a struggle to find a good vet nowadays for your beloved pet. However, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring, patient, informative, and compassionate vet for their pet(s). I am a first time client and ended up taking our family dog here today due to her being ill. I really appreciate the fact they were able to get us seen the same day we called to see if they had any appointments soon. We did have a 3:20 appointment, which due to the doctor being a bit behind ended up being a 4:00 appointment but we didn't mind the wait much due to just wanting to get help for our dog and already having driven about 40 minutes to arbor. At first we were a little taken aback by how they did the initial examination, which was done outside on their sidewalk but we understood later why it was done that way. It was because due to the nature of our dogs symptoms they were not sure if she had something contagious or not (she didn't have anything contagious) however we were taken aback because we thought they would have a room maybe specifically for animals like this that are suspected of any illnesses that can spread. Nonetheless though, after the initial examination and finding she didn't have anything contagious they later came back and told us to come inside. After we came in, we were directed to a room in which they gave us an estimate and talked to us about what they wanted to do. We ended up only doing a few of the things that were suggested. The doctors were VERY, very kind in working with us as far as what procedures we wanted to do and such due to the cost. They were amazing and also answered all of our questions we had about everything. The waiting area/front desk was also clean as well as organized and same for the examination room as well. Hopefully we don't have to come back, due to the nature of our visit but if we do have to come back to a vet- we know just the place to go and that is to arbor view. Thank you for caring for our little girl Lelo today the way you guys did and showing her such compassion as well as providing the best care for her. Dr. Readon and her wonderful technician /assistant were great! Hopefully I spelled her name correct, unfortunately didnt catch the name of her assistant.

Fantastic experience: Doc was unbelievable ( I think dr love was her name)she is so knowledgeable with these lil exotics it was very refreshing the rest of the staff was very informative patient caring took time to explain and educate us doc turned a overnight stay and surgery into a hour visit she knows what she doing and u can really tell she does have a passion for this I am very grateful for them and so glad I was referred here

I’ve been taking my CavyKing/poodle, Baxter, to Arborview since he was a puppy, and he actually LOVES to go to the vet! He gets so excited when I tell him, “we’re going to see your girlfriends!”. He goes there monthly for grooming as well as for his routine healthcare needs, and I couldn’t be more pleased!

Fantastic experience: We were no longer happy with the vet we had been going to for years. We decided to switch to Arborview and I'm so glad we did. I took my grandkitty there for his first visit there today for my daughter. The doctor and the staff we're absolutely amazing. My grandkitty was acting completely different then he did at the last vet's office. You could definitely tell he was comfortable at Aborview. Arborview has been amazing since we first reached out to them about switching. I highly recommend Arborview.

Fantastic experience: My 2yr old ball python, Amira got THE BEST care with Dr Reardon & Elayna yesterday (10/28/24). She was already showing signs of improvement last night and is more active & interactive than she's been in a couple weeks. Both of these ladies showed great compassion for my snake. Thank you both so much!! She'll only be seeing Dr Reardon in the future!! After the care she gave, I honestly don't want another vet to treat her bc it cant be better than her!!

Fantastic experience: Abor View has been a great vet for my rabbits - and believe me, I think I tried just about every exotic vet in the state when I moved here. When it became necessary to put down my 9 year old Angora rabbit, it was the most quiet, quick, and peaceful euthanasia I've ever been a part of. When another of my Angora rabbits was injured, they went above and beyond to keep her safe. They were always friendly, and they really care about the animals. Thank you!

Positive experience: The clinic is awesome for exotics! Barely any wait time and they were so gentle and nice to my bird roxy. I wish the staff wouldve been a bit more knowledgeable on how to help change my birds diet but they did give me resources so im thankful for that. Ill definitely be taking Roxy here again and any future exotics i get!

Fantastic experience: As a first-time customer, I was impressed that they were able to see my hamster, Sandy, the very same day. Once at the office, the wait was brief, and the waiting area was exceptionally clean. The atmosphere was welcoming and upbeat, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The doctor was compassionate and attentive, demonstrating great care in handling my fur baby during a delicate situation. I felt at peace leaving Sandy in their hands, as it felt almost like leaving her with family. Despite the distance, I will gladly make the trip again due to their outstanding service. Fantastic experience: Dr. Weigel was an absolute angel! My dog got into a tiff with a neighborhood cat and got bit in his ear. Immediately upon calling, my mind was eased by Ilana. Then when we got there, Dr. Weigel made her assessment, prescribed treatment, and we were out the door in 30 minutes. Amazing staff, super fair prices, & excellent care. 11 out of 10!!!!

Positive experience: Honestly, I have went to ArborView for years specifically for my pet ferret that was having some issues and Dr. Weigel was absolutely truly amazing how they not only treated my pet but us as pet parents as well! Long story short, since then I have been interested in bringing my two dogs there as well as a permanent clinic for them and I recently just brought one of them to ArborView due to some allergies and a very serious ear infection. Wasn’t sure which Dr we were coming in to see but I figured I had nothing to worry about since I had such good experience in the past. We get in (on time) wasn’t pulled back till about 20 min later not too bad but my dog is very hyperactive for being on the older side. Got back to the room with my dog and sat there for a good half hour before even seeing Dr Marsh. I will say the assistants there are amazing and absolutely nothing against them! But Dr. Anastasia Marsh as soon as she walked in did not make me feel comfortable at all, even while tending to my animal made me VERY uncomfortable. Made me feel that the infection in my dogs ear was completely my fault for “not taking care of it sooner.” When making the appointment I explained due to personal reasons I do not have the budget for anything other than the care for the ear, she examined my pet and Dr. Marsh ended up offering me a 500 dollar bill with things she thought was best for my dog. Half of the stuff on the list wasn’t necessary and I had so many questions for her and all she did was talk over me and pretty much went around what I was trying to talk to her about. 0 stars for Dr.Marsh, feel like if you’re going to be in this line of work you should have not just compassion for animals but compassion animal parents.

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy that we found this vet. We saw Dr. Trowbridge for our two Holland Lops who developed bunny flop. She and the tech were great, explained everything well, weren’t pushy and provided excellent care. The clinic is clean, office staff kind, and prices are reasonable. It’s a drive for us, but worth it.

Fantastic experience: We have a cat (Felicia) who is VERY timid so we were a little nervous about what to expect from this visit. We were seen by Dr. Conolly (assisted by Leah) and I was really in awe by how well the appointment went. Not only was Dr. Conolly very thorough with explaining everything to us, she was so smooth with the exam and I think she was done before Felicia ever knew what hit her. Leah was wonderful too; she was so sweet with Felicia and she was also very thorough about explaining meds and fee structures with us. I feel so thankful for this office and its wonderful staff!

Fantastic experience: We take our two cats to Arbor View, and have had great experiences thus for with routine visits, as well as a few times when our cats have been sick & needed medication. My reasons for giving 5 starts are: friendly, compassionate care; comprehensive evaluation for wellcheck/vaccines; knowledgeable/well trained/helpful staff; and great user-friendly online systems for booking, prescriptions, and questions via an online chat option.

Fantastic experience: I would rate higher than 5 stars if I could. The staff and vets here are so incredibly kind, gentle, and helpful. They explain procedures and pricing, and don't try to push anything onto you. They handled my ferret, Rudy, very thoughtfully and kindly. I couldn't recommend a better vet for ferrets or exotics, they are some of the best that I've ever worked with.

Fantastic experience: In my experience it's often hard to find a place that checks all the boxes. Leaving our previous vet of 9 years was difficult but the place turned into something more like a conveyor belt. It wasn't personal anymore. We searched and searched tried different places and some were ok but they didn't check all the boxes. Then I took a chance on Arborview. And so far we have had wonderful experiences. I brought them my dog that has had lupus amongst other ailments and they did what they could and directed me to where I needed to go. I'm a difficult client, I ask tons of questions, I want to know everything about everything and I'm picky about the care of my pet's. But through all that they've been great, every Dr, every technician, every receptionist, all great. Of course I have my favorites this place checked all the boxed and then some.

Fantastic experience: I started taking my dog taco to Arbor View around 2019 when I was living in a few minutes away in Valpo and have continued even after moving to Munster and now Chicago. I know that he is loved and cared for every time we come for either an appointment or he has to stay the night. He is a senior now (17) and we come much more regularly than ever before but I will always make the drive to know that he is getting the best care possible by the compassionate staff they have.

Fantastic experience: We have a 9 month old Quaker Parrot that was having issues with her skin. Doctor immediately educated and helped us. Doctor was thorough and kind. Staff was excellent.

Positive experience: Karley always does an excellent job grooming my baby. However, what I do NOT appreciate is that it takes so long. It should not take over 4 hours for a bath and nail dremel. No cut, no trim, just a bath and nail dremel. There has to be a better way to schedule the dogs so they aren't left to be anxious in a kennel for the majority of their time there.

Fantastic experience: The genuine kindness and care provided by staff and the doctors, as well as the cleanliness of the clinic is the reason why I give 5 stars. The cost of veterinarian services is rising everywhere. At least with Arbor View, you know your animals are in good hands.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough how much I love Arbor View Animal Hospital!! I decided to take my cat and dog here after going to other walk-in clinics in the area and always feeling dissatisfied after my visit. And I have been coming to Arbor view for two years now and I can honestly say I leave feeling like my pets were well cared for, I have seen Dr. Weigel, Dr. Hubert, Dr. Love, and one other doctor whose name is escaping my mind at the moment but each doctor and vet tech (LOVE the vet techs) have treated my animals with the most love and best medical care I’ve ever seen! And even though I see different doctors from time to time they still make sure to go through my pets history and ask me questions to make sure they have all the information they need to give my pets the proper care they deserve! And sometimes they don’t even have to do that because they remember my animals, which is amazing because I know they see so many animals in a day! And they’re appointment based which is AMAZING. I love this place and can’t recommend them enough! I’m so sad I’ll be moving soon out of state, and can’t take this place with me!

Fantastic experience: After 7 DVM’s in a three day span on zero hours of sleep- and even after a trip all the way down to Purdue West Lafayette, searching for a vet to help with my neonatal kitten, Arbor View (as always) was there to save the day. I cannot express how eternally grateful I am that this place exists. They’ve always been compassionate and kind to all of my pets, and Dr.Wiegel saved my 3 week old kittens life. If you want to help your pet and make sure you’re receiving proper care- bring them to Arbor View. I’m crying literal happy tears.

Fantastic experience: I needed to take my new duckling in for an exam and there were not many bird vets near my area. I chose Arbor View at random, but I'm glad I did. The staff was kind, caring, helpful, and informative. The vet and assistants took their time in listening, answering questions, and showing me how to administer antibiotics to my duckling. I definitely will be going back if I have any more issues with my ducks.

Fantastic experience: At a recent visit, our dog was treated with great care from the intake form done in advance, to all of the care provided, and the follow-up phone call. This is 5-star service based care, and we are glad to be new clients. We trust that AVAH will be our vet for years to come.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Love is the absolute best! She had her work cut out for her with Roxie, my 15 yo Schnoodle who made it through a very difficult surgery! I can’t say enough good things about this doctor and the facility! Thank you Dr. Love for saving my baby!

Negative experience: Not use if this place again! We have a pomsky and a Sun Conor we went on vacation for a week and took them here for boarding. We went to pick them up on a Saturday. Before we went we called to inform them. When we arrived they charged us $20 extra for each pet because we picked them up early. When we asked why we were not inform of a fee for early pick up they said they didn’t know. The lady helping was rude and had a problem with helping. Then when they gave us our dog, he had a strong smell of pee like he had been sitting in it. They will not allow you to see boarding area unless it’s scheduled. Makes me wonder why?

Fantastic experience: Dr. Weigel and her assistant went out of their way to make my dog more comfortable during his recent exam. He is fearful of the vet and they were so patient, compassionate and gave him all the time he needed to try to become comfortable in the situation. I couldn't ask for better treatment of my dog i this type of situation. Thank you so much Dr. Weigel and staff!

Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough, my gratitude to the staff and Dr.. I was faced with a decision that was hard to make. There was no judgment, only heartfelt compassion and kindness from the first phone call til the decision was made. Thank you all for being who you are. My 21 year old little buddy Gangster G the Leopard Gecko is resting peacefully under my Granddaughters Pecan Tree. He will be sorely missed but what a blessing to have those 21 years of memories. What a blessing all of you were at a time when you were needed most. 5 stars all day long .

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so nice and kind and they helped with a snake that was very ill and now she's doing amazing I really recommend this place to anyone and everyone they are very understanding the vet was very helpful sweet kind and knew exactly what to do and help my snake get better and her helpful side kicks were sweet and kind to . I felt right at home in the lobby waiting very warm and happy feeling in the air every time I go there so if u have to choose a vet office I diffenly pick this one Daiblo and I thank you so much and we appreciate everything you did to make her feel better she is doing amazing<3

Fantastic experience: I took my sick guinea pig here on the recommendation of my dog’s primary vet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They modeled for me every step of administering medication to a guinea pig. Dr. Herbert was friendly and personable. Super transparent about pricing. All of the staff were really gentle with my guinea pig. Also didn’t take very long, they saw me at my appointment time and I didn’t have to wait long to see the doctor.All around really positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I am proud to bring my pets here long story short my old girl was getting sick for a very long time and I couldn't give more thanks to the doctor that was very knowledgeable of what was going on after tests and explained everything to me so clearly, got her in as soon as possible for surgery and she healed perfectly. My old girl has many more years to come now and I am so grateful for that.

Fantastic experience: Very caring and kind staff. They answered all our questions and they were very compassionate to our Bearded Dragon, Blue, who is now home and resting. Definitely recommend bringing your pets here. Also staff is very knowledgeable about the animals that they take care of and the kindness that they showed is amazing. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this vet office. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Both Dr. Conolly and the vet tech, Jessica, were wonderful and took great care of my blind pup Dante. They were patient with him and gave him the time (and treats!) he needed to adjust. Also, the prices are very reasonable here!

Fantastic experience: Welcoming staff and a nice clean clinic. Dr Weigel is thorough and wants to hear your concerns and she explains her plan very well. We feel our dog will get the best care possible. Prices are very fair.

Fantastic experience: Our rabbit has been showing signs of anxiety recently, with a decrease in appetite and activity, and frequent grooming. We found this vet hospital. Everyone here is very friendly and treats our little bunny as if she were their own. They are professional. Moreover, the fees are reasonable and transparent (please avoid those just looking to profit from your pets). After a simple treatment, they provided detailed printed instructions of how to take care of the following medications and how to help her thrive in the future. Currently these measures seem to be effective. She’s visibly improving. In observation. We’ve received necessary help and confidence from this hospital.

Fantastic experience: The doctors, techs, and staff are very caring and knowledgeable. My bird had a life-threatening injury. They provided intensive care, and he is recovering nicely. This hospital is amazing, and I truly appreciate them.

Fantastic experience: I had been searching for a vet since Sunday morning for my Piggy Sha Bobby. No one in my area took Guinea Pigs and finally found this Vet. Amazing staff! Handled Bobby with care and even willing to work with us with a payment plan for his medicine!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to this hospital by our dog's vet. They care for small animals and exotics. My daughter's leopard gecko Lenny needed an eye check up. Everyone was amazing and caring. Pricing for everything was reasonable. There is an upfront deposit for new clients to hold your appointment. It pays for the exam so don't let it scare you away from an excellent place. A+

Fantastic experience: Very professional staff - we brought our newly adopted Golden Retriever Mix to see them for a wellness check and she was very barky at the time due to being excited/being protective of us - the staff helped get her to calm down - gave her some cheese whiz and gave her some time to calm down. She happily walked with the staff back to the other room for her wellness exam. Dr.Conolly was so friendly and answered all of our questions that we had being new dog owners. We are so thankful we chose Arbor View for our vet.

Fantastic experience: I called yesterday morning frantic looking for an avian vet. They were able to fit us in that day. Everyone was so wonderful. Our vet & vet tech were so knowledgeable and really helped make me feel comfortable with a treatment plan for my sick budgie. Highly recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: I took my bearded dragon to Arbor View because they were the nearest veterinarian that'd accept a reptile. My dragon had passed, but the staff here still went above and beyond in care. They checked for life signs by ultrasound at no charge. Exceeding that, they created a small cast of claw prints with a name in clay and wouldn't accept payment for that either. This is a great team here. I'd recommend this hospital to anybody.

Fantastic experience: Brought my rabbit in for an illness. Staff was excellent. They listened to my concerns and came up with a plan to treat her. Since our visit my LittleBit is doing so much better. She’s eating, and acting like her self. It’s hard to find bets who can handle exotic animals. The staff has always been kind, compassionate and skilled. If you have exotic pets I would definitely recommend Arbor View!
