Fantastic experience: The hygienist, Mohand, did the best teeth cleaning I have ever had. He has a very light touch of hand and very accurate with the tools. No slips or gouges, and absolutely painless. He will make an extraordinary dentist.

Negative experience: I wasn’t gonna make a review until I got a text asking me to lol. The WORST experience I ever had. Took my 4 year old daughter here, the assistant/tech whatever he was (he never even introduced himself so I have no clue) acted as if he’d never been around kids at all. Didn’t talk to her. Didn’t do the typical doctor thing where they go over what they’re gonna do ‘alright so this tool is gonna clean your teeth, and it’s gonna be loud!, alright now we’re gonna use this. And this tool does this. Etc’ just told her to sit down and she opens wide for him, and he just sticks the loud tool in her mouth and then has the audacity to be annoyed when she freaks out. I would freak out too, and I’m grown! Not sure where the name ‘Comfort Dental’ came from because no one was being comforting except me. As I’m trying to get her to calm down, he just stares at me. Then asks ‘you think she’s gonna let me do it or do I need to get the doctor’ sir, go get that doctor. Tell her you need to learn how to treat kids. At the end they gave us all this paper work to sign for these treatments they want us to do. Tell us to read it and let them know if we have any questions. Then proceeded to get annoyed and try to rush my husband when he in fact tries to read it. Every single staff member I talked to was just incredibly rude. Doctor included. If you can help it, go somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy 0/10! Edit to add He was also late. Saw him walk into the office, and the receptionist tell him ‘you know you’re 20 minutes late right?’ Explains the long wait we had. Should’ve been my first clue to get the heck outta there

Negative experience: Worst place ever! They dont tell you what you have to pay, they spring it on you at last minute even though they say they are going to call you back. Their office staff is rude! They dont care about patients just money. They are greedy and the overcharge for procedures. They lie and manipulate you and try and force you to sign documents after you have refused to sign. They are nasty and vicious people who only care about a paycheck and money! They are greedy. I would never recommend you see them as they lie and ate deceitful.

Negative experience: Been a patient for almost ten years and am told that they can’t do anything to help me until almost a week after calling to make the appointment because “my dentist” that worked on the tooth in March is no longer there. Not my fault you guys cycle through dentists quicker than Walmart cashiers. Never once have I had an emergency situation like the one I am dealing with and I am being treated like I walked in off the street. You have lost me and my entire INSURED family of 5 from your practice.
Fantastic experience: My mom Ruth Hall saw Dr. A at Comfort Dental Care this week and really liked her. She has a warm and caring demeanor and was very patient. Mickey was Mom’s tech during the visit and was super friendly and helpful. It was a good visit!

Negative experience: It's sad when a patient comes in with pain and their insurance does not pay enough to get your teeth fix. There was no one that they could recommend me to for further help or even try to go over a plan to help getting my mouth situation. Not even a consideration. I felt like I was kicked out because I didn't have the money to pay. There was nooothing that she could say or chk on. I never ever felt so down. It's like I can't afford that so okay here is the door nothing we can do. No I did not like it there. It wasn't my insurance it was the way I left. But im gonna say Thanks for yall.service.

Negative experience: ⚠️ WARNING – Not Safe for Children or Anyone! This was by far the worst dental experience I’ve ever had—and it involved my children, which made it even more upsetting. The facility was shockingly unsanitary. There were visible hair balls on the floor, and dental instruments were left out in the open, clearly exposed to unsanitary conditions. There are no individual rooms—just one cramped, open space where everyone is worked on in full view. It felt incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe, especially for a pediatric setting. The office was tiny, contrary to how it’s portrayed in ads and online listings. Very misleading. The staff treated us poorly, with no sense of professionalism or empathy. Despite having insurance, they tried to push us into taking out a high-interest loan for treatment—something no parent should have to deal with while trying to care for their child’s health. To top it off, they sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy and refused to correct their mistake. No apology, no concern—just total indifference. This place should not be operating, especially when children are involved. I would strongly advise any parent to look elsewhere for care. Our kids deserve far better than this.
Fantastic experience: Very good dental practice. Every one was so helpful, and the doctor explained everything to us. They were able to get my wife in the same day for her dental treatment. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend them enough!!! I have major dental problems and will need ALOT of things done. I came to them after being treated horribly at a Navarre dental office. And these guys are just the bomb.com. I got my appointment dates mixed up by an entire week and they were so nice about it! They fit me in no problem. It’s doesn’t end there friends… They were so happy to be there and they were joking and laughing the entire time. You could tell they LOVE what they do, and they love their patients. They treat you with kindness and respect. They make sure you understand what’s going on and comfort you along the way. I drove from Fort Walton Beach to see them. I will continue to make that drive because they are my people. Thank you so much Comfort Dental for doing a great job and being so cool. We need more people like them in the dentist industry.

Negative experience: Do NOT go here! They have too many patients and horrible management/organization. At my last cleaning appt in Jan, before I left they made my next 6 mo cleaning appt for Aug 1 (too far out but that was the soonest available?). Just got a reminder text - to make my next appt?? I called and my Aug 1 appt isn’t on the calendar and the soonest they can get me in now is 3 weeks later.

Positive experience: I have had Comfort Dental for myself and my children for three years now. I would love to give five stars, but I have one complaint. I just went in for my appointment this morning to be turned away because I am pregnant and did not know a medical release form is required from my OBGYN. I have no problem providing the information, but I did not know it was required until I came in and was not able to provide it. I wish there was a way to double check your medical history before each appointment to prevent this issue. Other than that, every experience has been wonderful and consistent between each individual staff member.

X-rays were a breeze, and everything seemed very well organized. They clearly explained the plan for future care, and made sure I understood everything. Overall, this visit was excellent.

Negative experience: Poor service billing issues work had to be completed by another office. Insurance run a round went through my billing half the stuff they said wasn't covered was. Pretty sure they don't even have proper licenses and bbb needs to get involved big time.

Fantastic experience: I had IV Sedation oral surgery removing 8 teeth. The nurses were very kind and reassuring along with the surgeon. Everything went smoothly and just as they had explained. I am home now no longer numb and on my prescriptions. I am truly happy with my experience and do recommend Comfort Dental and their staff.

Fantastic experience: Even though my first visit was not under normal circumstances, everything about my visit was great. I had severe pain in my lower right molar and felt pretty crappy. I got to Comfort Dental Care a little early and checked in for my appointment. Check-in was quick and got seated in the waiting room, expecting to have a fair wait before going to the exam room. I didn't even have time to get the seat warmed before I was taken back. Once I was in the dentist chair, there was a flurry of activity to find the cause of my pain. It was discovered that my tooth had cracked and needed to be extracted. I was given options and decided to go with an insert. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. The staff and doctors did a great job. Now I am convalescing at home with minimal pain and meds in case I start feeling uncomfortable. Again, I can't thank the staff at Comfort Dental Care enough, great job everyone!

Negative experience: Whoever is in charge of answering the phones today at 11:48 am is rude and should not be working at a front desk, this “receptionist” repeatedly hung up my call and refused to provide appointment information and kept transferring my call to a department that had nothing to do with my questions.

Negative experience: I came in without any upper teeth, you took a bunch of x-rays was told for $26,000 you would be happy to fix my mouth. I left without any upper teeth. There wasn’t even an offer to remove the broken teeth. You really expect a 79 year old senior to have $26,000 dollars for anything!

Negative experience: UPDATE: I revoke the 5 stars… Had a filling on a tooth done when it should’ve been a root canal. Now dealing with the infection months after. During my filling, the assistant(not Mickie, who was mentioned in the original review) was unqualified and did not know which instruments the doctor was asking for. The doctor and assistant were arguing back and forth while their hands are in my mouth. Whilst not paying attention to their patient, they sprayed me in the face with water. I understand everybody has to be trained at some point, but they must’ve skipped that completely with that particular assistant. I didn’t have a fear of the dentist, now I join the club. I won’t be returning. I don’t wish an experience like this on my worst enemy. I had a wonderful experience at my first visit. I was nervous going to the dentist for the first time in years. Mickie (assistant) was amazing, she made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. Dr. Hodges is great too! This facility lives up to its name. I am looking forward to my next visit:)

Fantastic experience: Broken tooth went to three dentist. Was turned away. Started calling around different dentist. Last one was Comfort Dental, the lady said we will help you tomorrow 8 am fixed me up extremely professional. Thank you Dr Evelyn. Saved my mouth.

Negative experience: Many issues encountered. 1st with them not processing the online paperwork & verifying insurance even though it was completed through the link they sent the day the appointment was setup. They wanted $100 for a visit that should be free because they failed to verify the insurance before the visit. Also had an appointment that they called the day before to reschedule. Had to miss 2 work days due to this. 1st original appointment date & then for date they needed to move appointment to. Amount given on “plan” was outrageous & didn’t coincide with costs of having my other child’s wisdom teeth surgery. When I called & explained what was needed for my son & wanting wisdom teeth removed with sedation I told them he needed it right away due to leaving next month for boot camp. After all the issues at his appointment & giving us the treatment plan paperwork I asked when could we schedule the surgery. They said oh well our sedation dentist only comes once a month & he was just here May 10th so he won’t be back until around the 10th of June. This was a total waste of time at this office. They should have told me this on the phone when I called & asked all of the questions pertaining to having wisdom teeth removed. I will never consider going back here.

Negative experience: Nice and pleasant to go to so far, to have dental services. The staff seem friendly and the doctors seem to be caring and try to make you feel comfortable during your appointment, Dr. Hodges is awesome, however my recent appointment wasn't so pleasant, the hygienist was a bit rough, when cleaning my teeth, didn't ask if I wanted floride, just did it, my insurance doesn't pay for it and I was charged with a bill, not happy with this last experience.

Negative experience: Comfort dental made my appointment without discussing any fees, etc. When I arrived they expected me to pay money without any advance notice. Furthermore, when I scheduled the appointment they stated they could attempt to get my prior dental records. When I arrived they stated they cannot do that. Why not explain things properly to start with? Why expect someone who thought they were coming to an initial appointment to pay for fees they weren't told about? Then the office staff stated that if I didn't pay the money they couldn't see me at my scheduled appointment. They had time to check my benefits but no time to have a discussion with the patient. Poor business practices.

While we do our best to verify insurance benefits ahead of time, coverage and out-of-pocket costs can vary, and we regret that there was any confusion at your visit. We'll be reviewing this internally to help improve communication going forward.
Regarding dental records, our office does not request them directly. Patients must reach out to their previous dental provider themselves to request that records be sent to us. This policy is in place to ensure patient privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations, and we apologize if this wasn’t clearly explained when your appointment was scheduled.
We also understand it’s frustrating to be asked for payment unexpectedly. Our policy is to review benefits in advance when possible, but patients are financially responsible for services at the time of their appointment. We're sorry this wasn't communicated more clearly.

Negative experience: Proceed with Caution! I went there to have a tooth evaluated that had a cavity. I was told after a digital image of the tooth and less than 3 minutes of the dentist looking at the tooth that I needed a crown. The cost was close to $1,500. It didn’t sit right with me. I decided to go to another dentist. I only needed a filling and it cost me less than $90. Thankfully, I went with my intuition!!

Negative experience: The dental work was good . The financial part is not. They had me prepay for a crown. When my insurance handled it I overpaid almost $200. I tried to contact their billing dept and you can only leave them a voice mail and get a promise that they will return your call. For over a month I would leave messages and nothing from them. They finally refunded half of my overpayment and I still can’t find out why they will not refund the rest. Going on two months now I have yet to speak to a real person.

Positive experience: My oral surgeon is very nice and did a great job. Professional staff are excellent. Billing practices on the other hand leave something to be desired. Up charging for services not needed or provided. They asked me 4 times to pay for something I was not being provided at this office.

Positive experience: I really love Comfort Dental, but I don't know how to give an honest review of this place without sounding like it's a den of nightmares. I can't say anything negative about the quality of the dentists or the work they do, so it makes me feel really bad to be... honest about everything else. So, let's try to have a laugh with this. Think of it as the "Walmart of dental care." You'll get what you want/need, and the price is entirely reasonable. The people who care are the whole reason the place works, but all the problems stem from the majority of the people who simply show up to get paid. I could give glowing reviews on every procedure I've had done... but only when the dentists were directly involved. Things to note as a new patient: -The dentists are absolutely amazing, but the rest of the staff may leave you with headaches worse than your toothaches. -The women in the office are loud and would rather complain about work than do it, let alone do it properly without you standing in front of them. -My wife describes mix of complaints and soft rock in the waiting room as "Flock of Seagulls backed by Squawking Hens," which is harsh, but has been accurate more times than not. -The online forms are useless/non-functional/ignored, so just call. -Actually, don't call, because they won't answer. -If they do answer, you can't hear them after the hold music has deafened you, since they don't seem to only shout or mumble into the phone. -They WILL hang up as soon as THEY decide everything is settled. -No matter what insurance you use, they aren't in your network. Except they are. But they aren't. Only, they actually are. They don't know. Try running it anyway. -Some of the ladies cleaning teeth or doing x-rays are constantly fed-up with life and you never know when you'll become their personal stress-reliever. -The guys in the same roles are universally cool and helpful almost to a fault. One gentleman even stayed late to help shape a temporary bridge that was bothering my tongue while everyone else had bailed, so expect a rockstar treatment with an all-male staff working on you. -"Emergency Dental Care" is essentially a lie; if you're given the choice between skipping court and losing custody of your kids, or moving your appointment forward by just four hours for a broken tooth, you'd better be thinking about child support payments because the office staff will take you off the emergency list for refusing the offer. -The topical numbing agent comes in multiple flavors, so choose your own floppy-mouthed adventure. I prefer bubblegum. -Prices are reasonable and payment plans are available for those times where you're having trouble. -I've never seen the restroom, but legend says that one actually exists within the building, and that it is immaculate. Like the sort of place a unicorn goes to floss after meals. -SO. MANY. TEXT. MESSAGES! -Turn off notifications on your phone until a month after your last visit, because you will still be getting messages about appointments you haven't made. -The office staff will cancel the wrong dates after confirming with you three times, so randomly check in when you notice one of the 50 text messages waiting unread. -I haven't been in over a year and I still get messages. I'm thinking of changing my phone number. Please, stop. Get help. We should see other people. It's not me, it's you. I would have a court order for you to stop, but I broke a bicuspid on an overcooked nacho and it was either court or moving my appointment forward 24 hours. In all seriousness, I prefer Comfort Dental to other places I've gone to, who would rather clean my teeth endlessly and treat them never. The dentists care, the price is right, and I know what to expect so I can adjust to the problems that I've detailed above. It's very much a case of putting in the extra effort to get a superior result, and I'm willing to suffer a headache or two to save myself a major toothache.

Negative experience: This office is criminal in my opinion. I called and asked for an appointment for a CLEANING. All was good there. Got there, girl said I owed 59$ for a pano that I had in October. They did not ask any info on the original phone call. I paid it and they did like 11 more xrays. The dentist examined me and the tech said no cleaning today!! Thursday she had an opening or OCTOBER!! Terrible way to run a place. I and my family of 3 will not return

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. Certainly modern and caters to all age groups! Kim was an amazing dental hygienist and my 2 year old daughter absolutely loved it there. Kim allowed her to pick her own toothbrush, loaded her up with stickers and told her to pick something out of the treasure chest. They were very patient and took great care of us. I would greatly recommend and I may be changing over to this dentist for my dental care needs as well.

I have been a patient for over 10 years and I arrive today to find out that my appointment was verified but not insurance. I must reschedule to September 5, 2025 for a cleaning. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This was my first appointment with this company and I will 100% be coming back. I brought my kid with me and the dental assistant showed so much love and care and attention to her, (even though the appointment was for me) He explained what everything was in the office and got her a chair to sit in so she could pretend to be a doctor. Positive experience: Everyone is always superficially pleasant when going here, however the dental hygienists have always been unnecessarily rough, I feel like every time I get my teeth cleaned, it’s like the hygienists are actively trying to remove my teeth, it is almost 12 hours later and my mouth is still throbbing, and I have been going to the dentist for 38 years and this is the only clinic I’ve ever had this experience with.

Negative experience: While the staff has always been kind and the facilities are nice, I have had issues with the dental hygienists. I have visited twice for routine cleanings, and both experiences were painful. After my first visit, I assumed the discomfort was due to a single hygienist being a little rough. However, during my second visit with a different hygienist, I had the same experience. Both times, they allowed the cleaning instrument to slip, repeatedly stabbing my gums. They also were harshly scratching my teeth, causing sharp pain down to the roots. On both occasions, my gums were bleeding and throbbing by the time I left the chair. I have never felt this much pain from a routine cleaning. While I won’t name the hygienists, as they were both very kind, my experiences this year have been unpleasant. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and will be seeking dental care elsewhere.
