Dentistry for Children - Stockbridge

Fantastic experience: Dolethia was very helpful and made the check-in process smooth. She assisted me with checking in my sons for their appointments, ensured all the necessary paperwork was completed, and everything went perfectly. My boys were able to go back without any issues.

Negative experience: If we operate on a schedule, why are we waiting for well over an hour to be seen?? We have to do better managing appointments ave valuing time.

Negative experience: Got all my kids (4) they told me I couldn’t go inside with my kids because they are older enough to go by themselves and the place gets to crowded, I walked out I was crying, my kids were confused, two people f them have ADHD/ODD the younger is 8, I got a call back saying they do t have that policy but I got afraid to get angry the lady that tome I couldn’t be there with my kids, now Im in their parking lot trying to find another place

Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience taking my daughter here today! We arrived a little earlier than our appointment time, and even though there were quite a few people waiting, the staff was so efficient — we were seen right away. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The entire team was incredibly sweet, patient, and pleasant. My daughter is a toddler (so you can imagine how wiggly she can be!), but everyone handled her with so much care and kindness. They made her feel comfortable, and that meant a lot to me as a mom. I would highly recommend Dentistry for Children to any new parent bringing their little one to the dentist for the first time. It was truly a lovely experience.

Fantastic experience: They have always been great with all my kids. I have been with them with all 4. My oldest is 23 and my youngest is 18 now. The youngest is special needs. They go above and beyond for him! I am so grateful for DFC !

Fantastic experience: I felt a wave of nervousness when I found out I would be heading to a new location, but I was genuinely overwhelmed by the kindness and support of the staff there. They were truly remarkable, and even my child was so impressed that they gave them a big thumbs up. It was comforting to see such caring people welcoming us.

Negative experience: Extremely long wait time and little to no communication with patients and parents about the reason.

Fantastic experience: The staff are extremely nice from the waiting room to the back area. The many TVs, stickers and little prizes at the end really help the kids enjoy the dentist. I highly recommend this pediatric dentist business

Negative experience: Attention. All the bad comments you read about this particular dentistry is true . 1. The dentist is overbooked 2. They will cancel your appt without you knowing 3. Staff is rude 4.They don’t accommodate! I have little children and one of them had an appt. I was told I would go into a private room since I had my other little ones with me . I was not put in a private room . I was told to reschedule and find a babysitter. I will be contacting the board on this issue as I have found no policy detailing my matter. 5. Please parents as a person who works in the med field , please make sure your Child is receiving appropriate services. Make sure you know what is going on with your child’s teeth & the appropriate procedures needed. This practice doesn’t truly care about their patients . Patients are seen more as $$$$ and this shows by the carelessness of staff , the quick unknown cancellation’s of appointments and the overbooking. (Always know what’s going on) .. as of today i guess parents aren’t allowed to go in the back room with their children . If you are a parent who wants to be in the room with your kids . Go elsewhere. The caring of patients should be top priority. This dentistry isn’t it!

Fantastic experience: The entire experience has been wonderful, especially Sydney! My children loved every encounter they had with the staff they made them feel comfortable. They didn’t feel any pain and I’ll definitely recommend this location to my family and friends!

Positive experience: You can tell they care about children and enjoy working with them but it was so busy and full that it almost felt chaotic even though there was a clear system in play. I appreciated how the staff was so kind to my son as it was his first time and it started out pretty emotionally activated and ended with him wanting to come back everyday. Overall a good experience but may need to find somewhere that sees less children in a day as it was very overwhelming for my big boy. We shall see.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere everyone is so friendly and are really welcoming I have a child with special needs and they did a great job with him and also great job into finding the root of the problem and scheduling for the necessary appointments To take care of the problem it was quick and easy we were in and out so the wait time isn’t that long all around I would definitely recommend you take your child to this place.

Negative experience: The best way to describe this experience is like an assembly line. No personal touch or care. My child is three, no explanation for the treatment plan just these teeth need ALL this work. It didn’t sit right with my mom gut, went and got a second opinion and went from 4k dental bill to $360. Do not take your child here, especially if it’s their first experience.

Negative experience: Why are you parents not going with your children?!?! I was told that because I wanted to go back with my son there was no room for me so I have to sit in the waiting room until they can have both of us (he’s 3 and I’m a tall 160 lbs so tell me what space do we take up?). They then proceeded to call adolescent siblings in and other children. Seems like parents are not welcome in the back because I see the parents sitting in the waiting room. After watching them continue to call more people back, I cancelled our appointment and left.

Negative experience: Poor professionalism, lacks respect for others time. Its typical corporate dentistry, overbooked. Son had appt for 1:30 arrived at 1:20, checked in waited 45 minutes. went up to the front desk to see if there was a problem, wasn't any. They seem really nonchalant, didnt care I was there for 40 minutes waiting. Waited another 35-40 minutes and then they came to take him to the back. I think most of the 5 stars reviews are probably aren't real. To be honest this dentist office use to be pretty good but it has fallen off alot. If you plan a visit at this office, make sure you plan to be there for 4 to 5 hrs.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get a new patient appointment the same week I called. Service was excellent the wait time was short. They have a nice aquarium with a family of turtles and game machines to entertain the kids while we wait. They provided toothbrush floss and toothpaste after the visit. They answered all questions I had. Very professional.

Negative experience: Don’t appreciate how they took my son to the back and after an hour they left him there by himself, I then decided to entry and that was then when the dentist decided to attend him , KEEPING MY EYES OPEN FOR ANY DISCRIMINATION

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ellington and her staff are stellar!! My children have been going to them for years and the service has never changed! All staff members are open to opinions and give feedback on to dos and not to dos awesomely! I have a neurodivergent little one and Dr Ellington personally told me every step of his treatment and had no problems with me Giving my “2 cents” I recommend her center to any and all! The only thing I miss is the jungle theme! Thank you D4C for all you do!

Negative experience: If i could give no stars i would!!! They should not offer services for children with special needs! No compassion or professionalism regarding this matter, no one in the office even tried to attempt to make the situation better. We were dismissed and told to go to hospital denistry which is fine but it couldve been done a more respectful and caring manner.

Negative experience: Staff was a lot different this visit and I was very disappointed in how long we were there for just a cleaning. My son has never said anything negative about going to the dentist until this visit. He mentioned he was spoken to as if they were all angry and he felt like he was in trouble or did something wrong. I will not be returning!

Negative experience: My kids have been going here for years but now the wait is way too long. Had an appointment for 1 kid cleaning, x ray and fluoride @ 10:30. An hour and ten minutes in the waiting room and 1 hr in exam room seems to be normal at this location. Overbooking definitely doesn't make me or my family feel appreciated or valued.

Negative experience: It's so unfortunate the dentist at this office and another office missed the mark. My daughter has a cleaning and exam 2 months ago in April. Then another exam on April 30th. No one mentioned that my daughter's front 4 teeth were decayed, had cavities. I had to point that out to them on a subsequent appointment. Then they x-rayed and said 3 of the 4 front teeth couldn't be saved. I kept up with all of my daughter's appointments. They filled two of the same front teeth a year ago. How can out of 3-4 dental appointments can you miss decay on 4 front teeth. What type of exam are you conducting. It appears to be pure incompetence or straight intentional negligence. I've requested an email of my daughter's x-rays. Have never received them and the hard copy they gave me were intentionally blurred. Why have a young child get so many X-rays? Why be so careless, negligent? Why lie and say I can come to the back and then I'm not allowed? My daughter has great behavior, better than the person who misdiagnosed her teeth and could care less. So unfair and then when I contact corporate to share my dissatisfaction then I'm banned from the group, well my daughter is. All you had to do was stare she needed work done to the front teeth. I'm not cursing and have a right to share my view. I see there has been other accounts of malpractice as well. Maybe this group needs to be inspected by the state or some other legal proceedings. This is unfair to a child who was gaining confidence in a dental group to miss 4 teeth with decay and a month later still miss the cavities. In 6 weeks how can your child's front teeth go from normal to severely decayed beyond treatment. Sure I'm sad for my daughter. And the dentist here is not the nicest, the dental staff here tries to be. Again I'm disheartened about the nonchalant negligence and will involve other leaders peacefully if needed. This has caused such a big inconvenience and a disparity of treatment not only to my daughter but to our family as well. God bless and God help.

Fantastic experience: Great staff as is always the case. My autistic 9yo is hard to gain her trust. Within minutes they had her smiling and going back to get her teeth cleaned. Sensory Wednesday's, are such a huge help to us. We love this office, staff, and doctors!!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone has always been so kind to me and my children. We’re usually in and out. Love that they have video game area to keep them busy while waiting. Waiting area stays clean and doctors are so nice and informative about the health of there teeth. Love the little prizes at the end for them! I was referred here and I’m so glad!

Positive experience: I’ve had much better experiences prior to today’s appointment . My son has been a patient at this location for 6 years now. Today I had an appointment at 730am and was there till after 10am with no reason or common courtesy to apologize for the wait. My son has no cavities and no other issues. This was just a regular cleaning. The front desk isn’t as friendly , they can do better at being involved in communicating with parents during the process . Also, I don’t like how they shout other patients medical history across the room and in front of other patients . If you want to discuss patients medical history with a parent , it might be best to pull the parents in a more private setting. Might be time to get bigger. It was so packed in the waiting area .

Negative experience: I scheduled my son an appointment at 10am someone called me and I confirmed the appointment. The day before his appointment they sent me a text saying confirm his appointment for 930am, I was very confused so I called the office and they told me his appointment has been cancelled because I didn't confirm. I told the lady on the phone I already confirmed his appointment for 10am she said No!! his appointment has been cancelled. His appointment was May 1, 2025 and he has teeth that are bothering him that have to be pulled. They took no accountability for there mistake and said the next June 23,2025 . This made me so I took off work to take my son to this appointment. She then said we can put you on the waiting list, so all they did was take my son appointment give it to someone else. His appointment was at 10 then I got a text about a 930am appointment this is there mistake and no accountability was taken.

Negative experience: I have been bringing my kids here for years. Now it seems as if they’re scheduling too many children at this location at the same time. The lobby is always crowded and the wait is extremely long. Parents sit in the lobby while there are tons of kids in the back waiting again with no supervision. Unacceptable

Negative experience: My son has been a patient at this office since he was three years old and he is now an adolescent. I am not satisfied at all with his most recent visit. The current front desk staff is not pleasant. Also, the practice has become like an assembly line and they overbook. His 6 month check up was rushed. Furthermore, when he was done, the dental assistant rushes out and hands me a future appointment card without discussing his dental progress. Not to mention, she didn't give me a chance to select a "preferred" future date/time. They definitely need some training with customer service skills, scheduling and professionalism.

Negative experience: BEWARE- This is a warning for all parents that are taking their children to this location on Hudson Bridge/ Eagles Landing. Please get a second opinion if you have questions. My husband and I took my 5 year old grandson to his appointment 2 weeks ago. He has never had a cavity and has been going to the dentist since he was 3. My husband went back with him, they told him that he needed 3 silver crowns!. Now, I have worked in the dental field for over 10 years, so I wanted to speak to someone of course. The treatment coordinator was dismissive and seemingly judgy. She would not make eye contact with me and would not address my concerns. Before I got too upset I just asked for his x-rays and went home. When I received his x-rays I knew right away this was not my grandson's teeth, the x-rays were from a 9-11 year old, but I still brought him into my office the next day to be examined and take new x-rays. Not even a cavity, much less a need for crowns. Now, for me, there are some ethical issues with this situation. The doctor went into his mouth and looked at the x-rays and still said 3 crowns, so I feel like if he would have been brought to do the unnecessary crowns they would have done them. On top of this, there is a child that needs dental work that got sent out of there thinking he was good. I called the office to speak to Debbie, the office manager, the office said she was at lunch and Amiya at the call center said she would be back on Thursday. I explained the situation to Amiya and sent the new x-rays. I have yet to hear back from them.

Fantastic experience: This was the best experience I’ve had taking my kids to the dentist in over 10 years!!!! The office staff greeted us with a warm smile and was so friendly. The wait was not long and they even gave my 2 year old some crayons and a coloring page when she got upset while waiting. The dentist was knowledgeable and thorough and answered all my concerns. I took 3 kids so this is already an adventure but 2 of my children have heart disease and require medication prior to being seen and the staff was knowledgeable and made sure they were cared for properly. There’s a stigma that you only get good customer service and care when you go north of I20 but this office proves that’s not true. We can’t wait for our next 6 month cleaning! Thank you so much for caring for my babies like your own!

Negative experience: Still trying to figure out how the heck you forget a child by the dentists chair?? we waited hours in the waiting area thinking she was being seen but the whole time they forgot and only started working on her when we asked if she was finished yet. 4 freaking hours!!

Negative experience: This location is very overbooked. Be ready for extremely long visit. I arrived at 9:15am and did not leave until 2 hours later. I have a toddler and it's very difficult to have them wait that long. This is my second time here and the wait has been this long both times. The hygienist was did a great job. That's the only reason I'm not eating lower.

Negative experience: Everyone was ok I had a 9:30am appointment and I understand they may have a new system but it’s always crowded and it took two hours just for a cleaning . Nobody came out to let me know that they are almost done I had to ask the workers at the desk . So I will be changing dentist locations because I had to get a little upset and I hate I had to . Other than that it’s a great dentist , great location but I don’t even wanna take that drive I’m going to find something closer to home.

Positive experience: The waiting areas in the front and back were super chaotic. The kids were running around everywhere and there wasn’t a lot of seating. The wait was also long but all of the staff were very friendly.

Positive experience: So my son is going years old so that tells you how long I have been going to Dentistry for Children. I now have 3 kids that go there. I have never in my time going there have received the level of customer service I did today. They called me back 3 times for papers to be filled out instead of giving it all to me at once. In one of those call ups, I was finishing the first set of papers and she told me I could not do it at the counter to walk away. I thought that was rude. Especially when I had been called back a few times. The. When I was done with the paper work. I went to give it to this other lady and she ignored me for about 5 minutes. So I left my clipboard and papers on the counter, since they had such a problem me standing there just a few minutes ago. She was so rude she didn’t even acknowledge the clipboard there for about 10 min after I had waited 5 at the front desk. That what you see in the picture uploaded my clipboard sitting there. Then this other lady comes and starts asking me questions about my daughter’s medical conditions in front of everyone talking loud. When I told her to please lower her voice and let’s go tot he back to talk she started apologizing how she is sick and her throat hurts and that’s why she is speaking loud. They have so many new faces, it was definitely a first bad experience there. You would think more mature people would have a little more professionalism but not at all. Very disappointing. That much where I am writing a review about it and I usually don’t. The blond lady is the one that would tell me to move away from desk to finish filling out paperwork. And the one with glasses is the one that ignored me and took forever to get the clippers from me without even saying I will be right with you. Need to have more customer friendly people at this desk, that is your frontline. The staff in the back are always amazing.

Negative experience: It was my first time visiting this location and i was not pleased. My son’s appointment was scheduled for 9:30 and we didn’t go back to be seen until 11:00. If i hadn’t gotten up to ask the receptionist, we probably would’ve been sitting longer. Chances are, i won’t be going back unless i have no other choice. I’ll be looking for another “kid friendly” dentist in the meantime.

Positive experience: The staff is great! Super friendly and professional. The only thing I feel needs attention is the size of their waiting room. It's not big enough. When I took my daughters, we sat in the floor in the gaming area. So my only suggestion would be to have a bigger waiting room.

Negative experience: Had an 8 o’clock appointment ended up leaving there at 10:30 just for a cleaning for my child. It’s always packed and crowded. They always triple book themselves super disorganized and germy. The turtle tank stinks and is unappealing.

Fantastic experience: It was crowded this particular day, but my new patient son was cared for in about an hour. They didn't allow me to go back with him, but he did come out smiling, and their staff is very nice and professional. They explained all they did, scheduled a follow-up appointment, and put my concerns about a recent cracked tooth at ease. I am making this his official dental home.

Fantastic experience: Super sweet staff! Not too long of a wait at the second visit! I wish I got her name, but one of the hygienist carried my son out to my car for me since I had my 3m old baby with me as well! So far, I love them & have heard nothing but great things about Dr. Ellington!

Fantastic experience: Our regular dentist referred my son here for some pediatric dental work. The office got him in to be seen the same day as the referral and scheduled to do the dental work next week. I love that Dr. Ellington is always at this location. I was pleased with the kindness and promptness of this office.

My son enjoyed his cleaning and the staff was truly friendly and nice, not to mention the ability to sit in the waiting room. The waiting area was spacious, clean and open environment. I’m glad we’ve switched over from Morrow location. We are looking forward to a positive relationship.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for the past 10 years and the service has been immaculate. The DA’s and Dentist have all been kind whenever I’ve need a cleaning or a filling. I’d highly recommend giving this dentistry a try even if you’ve had bad experiences with others.

Fantastic experience: Took my baby to three direct children's emergency rooms trying to figure out what was lodged up in my 1 year old gums and to get to debtistry on eagles point and less then 5 minutes with out sedation they took a pop it toy right out my son's gums very gentle and the energy the happiness staff and me had was priceless thank you guys so much

Negative experience: Been going to the McDonough location for the past 5yrs. Not have I ever had an 8:30a appointment leaving out at 10a for a cleaning. I will value my location but this was insane! I will never return to this location.

Negative experience: Front office was very unprofessional. They fussed with me for refusing anesthesia that my child didn’t need for routine basic cleaning. Eventually she figured out it was my right to refuse and not just sign the document blindly. Also I’ve gotten a myriad of misleading info on a minute debt of $34 that no one could explain. However it was due to services rendered that I was not made aware the insurance didn’t cover. My experience has been they charge you for services that insurance doesn’t cover if you just sign away and don’t ask why. That’s it for me I’m taking my family out of DFC after 20 plus years of dealing with them Update: Today I received an email that my child is OVERDUE for services. Didn't I just leave your office on MONDAY 14th??? Where are your records to show my child received services as scheduled and she has NEVER missed an appointment and insurance is always billed. What is going on in DFC?? STOP SENDING ME THESE CRAZY TEXT AND EMAILS THt she is overdue. She is NOT OVER DUE. This has happened too often STOP

There is a note on the door stating that they had outages and couldn’t contact any one, they also stated that they would contact us the next day. It is now October 15th and still no call. Ive already proceeded to find my daughter a new dentist. While I do understand that sometimes things happen, it is very inconvenient for parents that have to get out of work early to make it to appointments with there little ones. I was telling a friend about this incident she stated that this has happened to her before at the same location. Very inconvenient

Fantastic experience: Dentistry for children is awesome. Checking in is easy. The wait time to be called back is very short. When your child gets called back, someone comes out. Explain what The child is getting or having to see if you have any questions. I like the fact that they allow your child to be independent and go get their teeth done by themselves while the parents wait either in the lobby or even in the car. They are very gentle and compassionate with the kids. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a dentistry that takes care of your kid or kids With love, compassion and Patience.

Negative experience: This was the worst experience my child has ever had. The facility was filthy and there was an odor. The staff were disrespectful and unprofessional. I asked to speak with management and they refused to put me in touch with someone. I have called their corporate office several times and still haven’t received a response. To add more to this experience they were unnecessarily rough with my child and told her to deal with it but then had the audacity to discuss my child’s services with other associates as if that wasn’t a HIPAA violation. BE AFRAID OF COMPANIES THAT ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE BBB. I wish I could have posted this with zero stars or worst!!!!

Positive experience: I would like for Dentistry for Children Eagles Point to consider being more sensitive in their questioning. This is the ONLY doctor’s office that I have attended in the 8 years I’ve had the kids that asks my relation to them multiple times in a visit. Review the information you have in the computer, ask for my I.D. to confirm, but stop asking so frequently in front of the kids.

Fantastic experience: We've been coming to this location for 16years. I appreciate the quick check in and procedure today was very fast. We were out of there earlier than usual. We appreciate you taking care of our babies and keeping their smiles brighter each time.

Negative experience: We had an appointment for 8:30 am got there at 8:15 am for a cleaning and we did not leave until 10:41 am This was the worst dental appointment my daughter has ever had. Her teeth still hurt!!! If you can’t handle all those appointments don’t put them on!!! To many people were going in and out but not enough dentist to actually see all of the kids!!!!

Negative experience: Editing this review to update- this was 1 time where we were seen in a reasonable amount of time. Every single time we’ve been there since then, it has taken 3-4 hours to get a routine cleaning. A. Routine. Cleaning. With how packed the waiting room is, it’s obvious that the patients get crammed together during scheduling. Patients should be scheduled with more time in the dentist’s chair so the other patients and families aren’t wasting half of their day waiting in an overcrowded office. The obvious and frustrating scheduling issue should be tweaked and it would be a 5 star experience every single time. I love the staff so much, they are so sweet. I just despise waiting so long I timed our last appointment and from the time we signed in to the time we left, it was 3 hours and 47 minutes. Again, for a routine cleaning. Appointment times are useless when the scheduling itself is flawed. I took off 3 stars to account for the 3 hours I waited that I’ll never get back. The lady on the phone when I scheduled my daughter’s appointment was not friendly at all. I almost canceled the appointment because of her, but I’m glad I didn’t. The office is extremely busy anytime we’ve been there but they are super fast! Everyone is so nice and gentle with the kids and the hygienist and dentists let you go back with your kid if they are scared. They talk directly to your kid and let them know exactly what is going on and what they are doing, so they won’t be nervous or scared. It’s just an overall wonderful dentist for kids!
