Negative experience: They might be the best but I will never know as I have not been able to reach the office. Just get a recorded message and no-one has responded to my voicemails.

Negative experience: Look for another dentist. I’m pissed. I called at 10:50am and told them I was running late to see if that was okay. They told me as long as I was within the 15 minute window I’d be fine. So I rushed to drop off my kid at the babysitters to get there. I made it with time to spare and they said “Oh I’m sorry we have to reschedule. She already took someone else back because you didn’t call to let us know”. I said yes I did call… and they told me as long as I was there by 11:15am then I’d be fine. In fact, I checked my phone and apparently someone else called me at 11:04 (obviously who I spoke to initially didn’t communicate with anyone else) and they left a message even stating again that as long as I get there by 11:15 I’m fine (I have screenshots of the times of the calls and the text of the voicemail they left). Obviously all of that was a lie because I got there before 11:15 and it was a complete waste because they already took someone else back. They asked if I could reschedule but no I shouldn’t have to because you should have told me at 10:50am when I initially called to not come in then or actually honor your 15 minute late policy that you tell people. THEN I get a bill to pay a fee for my “no show”… seriously?! I’m not paying that. I’m done with this office and finding somewhere else. Furthermore, when we went there in June for our free yearly cleanings, we somehow got talked into dumb things that ended up costing me almost $100 and my husband like $200 (for example, they never told me fluoride wasn’t covered by my insurance and some dumb light exam that apparently wasn’t covered by my insurance). Like other reviews mentioned, they don’t seem transparent with the cost of things and you end up paying more than you think.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough and found issues other dental practices may have missed due to their practice having a wider view of the dental needs of their patients and.having more staff member experience to cover those issues. I was pleasantly surprised and concerned on the care I now need that they found that should have been taken care sooner. I appreciate their expertise, and look forward to them helping me get into better overall oral hygiene and stronger teeth health!

Fantastic experience: I have a friend, William Palevo, that can be critically honest about things that he does not like, and he is not reserved about sharing his experiences with people. When I told him that I was unhappy with my current dental provider - a franchise in Dunnellon - and he started raving about his Dentist, Dr. Bonesteel at Oakridge Dental, I immediately set an appointment. I was impressed from the moment I accessed their website and registered as a new patient and all the way through the the payment process with the frontend team - A1!!!!!!!! All of their equipment was first class, state of the art and the office was very clean from the parking area, the lobby, the admin area, the common areas and the restroom. I especially enjoyed (there is a word you usually don't associate with a trip to the dentist) working with Taniqua Belanger, the Registered Dental Hygienist. This young Lady kept me informed every step of the way and was able to blend the perfect formula of professionalism and friendliness! We even shared a few good laughs. Who laughs during a dental procedure? Ms. Belanger Super Star and is a bright light and the salt of the earth. The friendly admin team researched my insurance coverage without me even asking (something my previous provider was hesitant to do and made me feel as if I had put them out just asking) and I have a very concise understanding of where I am at today and what my plan will be going forward. When I had my consultation with Dr. Bonesteel, he also was very professional, yet friendly. He ran through his diagnosys with me without throwing around a lot of cold dental jargon. As a matter of fact, he used and analogy where he likened my situation as "crack in a driveway where water can seep in, but we don't have, or want, any red ants or weeds getting in there..." Call me a corn ball, but it had a way of putting me at eaze. Yes, there is a problem Houston, but we have the team to minimize it, and fix it, was the way it made me feel. Dr. Bonesteel outlined my options and at no time did I feel that he was trying to upsell me. I have experienced this at a couple of the national francizes in the past and as someone with 30 years of sales experience, I know when I am being up sold and pressured. My former dentist (ba-bye!!!) was 8 minutes from my home versus the 25 minute ride to Oakridge, a trip well worth the extra 17 minutes. I guess by now you can tell how I feel about the Oakridge team!

Fantastic experience: I hadn't seen Dr. Bonesteel for a long time, and I 'd had heart surgery right after seeing him last. I'd forgotten how good he was, and how great his assistants were, especially Arams. My surgery experience left me with a terrified feeling about doctors and dentists in general, and i was so frightened the day before my appointment that I almost canceled, but the prayers of some dear friends encouraged me to come, and I am so pleased that I was able to do that, because I had such a great experience with so much less discomfort than I had expected. When I arrived, I looked around for Arams, and when I didn't see him, I was disappointed. But Tiara was there with the same warmth and concern. She reminded me how good Dr. Bonesteel is and remembered all my concerns all through the whole procedure, and was such a comfort to me, plus I had decided to tell Dr. Bonesteel everything on my mind before having him work on me, in case I was too scared, and he was so gracious and let me get all my concerns spoken, not to mention that he was such an efficient worker that it seemed to go quickly. Since I was able to tell him my concerns and tell Tiera, as well, my fears were greatly minimalized, and my worries were overwith so much faster than I expected, because they remembered all we talked about. I'm over 80, and sometimes elderly people feel helpless in difficult situations, but I discovered that sharing my concerns with people truly willing to help really do make things better. Plus I don't know how I could have forgotten that Dr. Bonesteel has made me 3 great crowns in the past plus done a couple good extractions, and the temporary crown Tiara fashioned for me is comfortable, pretty and excellent. I could probably use it for the rest of my life if it weren't plastic. :)

I don't know where they find all the non Karens, but there only professionals here. Always smiling and keeping you informed of your process and a total cost statement prior to service. Dr. Bonesteel and staff are so professional and caring and courteous and skilled. Dr. Bonesteel gives painless injections when numbing is needed. He is the best! The hygienist used a new spray on my gums for a deep cleaning and I never felt a thing. I highly recommend this practice to all. Due to medical issues I missed 2 appts for hygienist cleaning, but my hygienist took her time and did such an awesome job cleaning my teeth and gums!!! It doesn’t get better than this for an incredible dental Team!

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Oakridge dental. The dental center was immaculate, the dental hygienist took her time and did an excellent job. But the thing I was most impressed with is they did not try and sell me something that I do not have to have done at the present time.

Negative experience: I wasn't a fan on some of the practices of this office. They try to sneak in an oral cancer screening, that isn't covered by insurance. If you're not careful it can add $50 to your bill. When I declined this service the billing person, named Free gave me a stank face and attitude from then out. I get that they probably get a kick back from whatever company provides the service, but I have never had this done at any of the dentists I've been to before. While you can get oral cancer even if you didn't smoke, there are usually other factors at play like age, sexually transmitted diseases, and alcohol consumption. I wish they did more education on it than just pushing an upsell. They also recommended a pricey amount of work. I'm not ignoring it, but I am seeking a second opinion and price quote, I'll update after I get that.

Fantastic experience: Just had the greatest experience at this dentist office. My hygienist (I believe her name was LaLa) was one of the most cheerful personable people i've ever met. I'm usually FULL of anxiety when it comes to dentist appointments but she kept it light and moved very quickly on my X-rays, which made it that much easier. I cannot remember the name of the Doctor himself but he was great too and once taking is own look asked if I had any concerns. I don't know about you but every other dentist i've had just says "you need this-, this, and this!" and they walk out, not asking about my concerns. Great place & clean!

Both visits were filled with genuine kindness and comfort—not just a quick sticker and a pat on the head, but real connection that helped them feel safe and relaxed.
