Positive experience: I am very pleased with this dental office,have been here quite a few years,with no complaints what so ever

Positive experience: All staff were friendly and professional. The dental hygienist was thorough and took time to answer all of my questions. My only drawback was the prices of the upcoming procedures I will need. From what I was paying at my previous dental office, this one does charge about twice as much. With insurance, my out of pocket will still be about the same . If I didn't need dental work, then my insurance would be adequate.

Fantastic experience: I had a severe infection in and under one of my teeth. Judy was my dental assistant. The best of I'd ever had, anywhere. Kind, informative, compassionate knowledgeable and outgoing. She prepped me for Dr. Diaz. Dr. Diaz was the same. Her honesty and candor were just what I needed. Let's just say that I was offered with a choice of procedures, with pricing (no secrets) and we started. Upon starting, my tooth turned out to be way worse than imagined. I love that Dr. Diaz did this. She stopped, looked at me and said "change of game plan". Explained my issue, I was presented with pricing for that alternate procedure and we proceeded. I was SO comfortable with the shots to numb me, the procedure and the follow through. The entire organization from scheduling (took me next day), to no wait time, all the way to check out was just what you would want and expect. I will start to bring my kids to this no-nonsense, friendly dental office who made you feel like a friend, rather than a patient from the first impression.

Fantastic experience: I went there horrified about having several teeth extracted. Left there so happy that it didn’t hurt at all! Going back to have several more extracted and getting an upper denture and I no longer am afraid of dentists! Go there if you’re scared, you won’t be anymore!!!

Fantastic experience: Lauralie is the best cleaner, it didn’t hurt!! I am requesting her for my next cleaning. She has a stress release ball you can squeeze during the procedure, I didn’t even need it since she is so good but it is nice to have, also if you don’t freak out she gives you a sticker! Negative experience: I do not recommend this dentist. They are poorly prepared and irresponsible. I believe most of them are still dental students. The first time I went there, they told me I had an infected tooth that needed a root canal. Just a few minutes later, they said it was better to extract it because it was a “lost cause.” Obviously, I didn’t listen to them. I traveled to another country and had the procedure done with one of the best dentists in the city and it was still much cheaper than what they charged me. I had the root canal done and three years later the tooth is still perfectly healthy. Last week I went again because my tooth had broken, and the doctor said it was infected and that it had to be extracted because “nothing else could be done.” According to her, it wasn’t even good for a crown. (This was a tooth I never had problems with before!) She looked at my tooth for barely two minutes and already gave me this drastic solution. That is so irresponsible. Of course, I didn’t let them extract it. I went to a Brazilian dentist that I highly recommend. Not only did he restore my tooth, he did an amazing job, but he also explained that I could, in fact, get a crown and that it was the ideal option since the tooth is still functional. Final note: It’s very hard to find good dentists here, unfortunately. Always get a second opinion.

Negative experience: ⭐ 0 Stars – Worst Dental Experience I’ve Ever Had I called Cape Smiles on Monday with an emergency cracked tooth. Friends had recommended them, so even with my high dental anxiety from past bad experiences, I trusted them. The receptionist told me the first available was Thursday at 10am, and explained that if I took 10am instead of 1pm, it would give the doctor enough time to actually treat me. I agreed and waited in horrible pain for 3 days, believing I would finally get help. I arrived Thursday morning at 10am. After I explained in detail what was going on, the assistant told me (before even looking at my tooth or doing X-rays) that the doctor wouldn’t be able to treat me today because they had overscheduled. She actually said I’d need to come back another time. I told her that’s not what I was promised on the phone — had I known this, I would never have waited 3 days in pain just for a consultation. After asking three times to speak to the office manager, she finally brought her in. The manager apologized, told them to do X-rays, and scheduled me for an extraction on Monday at 9:30am. When I got home around noon, I realized I had a prior commitment and immediately called to reschedule. It took me four tries before someone answered. I was told there was an opening on the next day, Friday at 8:30am for a 90-minute extraction and that I was all set. I even asked for them to confirm, given the run around I had this morning. At this point I had already missed work, and my husband rearranged his job to drive me because of my anxiety. But then, right before they closed at 5pm, the same assistant that handled my care that morning, called back and said they could not accommodate Friday after all, and that I would now have to wait until the 13th. That means it would be two full weeks after my initial “emergency” call before I’d get treatment. At that point, I asked them to send me my X-rays and bill so I could go somewhere else. The assistant put me on hold, and another front office employee picked up — (her name was Yana’s?) yelling at me, telling me they weren’t sending anything today, mocking me, and then hanging up on me after laughing and saying the manager had already left for the day. This entire experience was unprofessional, disorganized, and completely unacceptable. They wasted my time, cost me missed workdays, caused me unnecessary suffering, and treated me with open disrespect. Do not trust them with your emergency or your care!!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently went in for a schefuled body exam with Stephanie. As usual Stephanie did a thorough exam fortunately finding nothing. All staff I interacted with during my recent visit were polite and able to answer aall questions that I asked.

The entire team is welcoming, professional, and truly committed to making you feel comfortable and well cared for. They’ve definitely gone the extra mile for me, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality dental care.

Negative experience: The hygienist was terrible. I felt like I was drowning the whole time. This is the first time in my life that happened. She didn’t do anything to change the way I was sitting even when I complained the whole time. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the dentist is great.

Negative experience: I had to find a new dentist due to insurance so tried this place after reading some reviews. I sent them my x-rays which are about 10 months old but I had to get new ones, that took 30 minutes of discussion. My hygienist was nice enough but she would alternate between checking my gums (hands in my mouth) to typing on her keyboard and clicking her mouse then return to my mouth. I think we all know how many germs are on a keyboard. Unless they change that practice I will not be back.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency while on vacation in Cape Coral. It was two days after Christmas and I was having a hard time finding an available dentist, but I finally found Cape Smiles who did. They were able to fit me in within a half hour of calling. I’m very grateful for the work Dr. Rodriguez Acosta did and how great the staff was. He was able to stabilize a loose/cracked front tooth until I could get back to my home dentist (for an implant), and repair a chip. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I broke a tooth on Tuesday, called and she set me up for Thursday morning, and ended up calling me back Wednesday morning as they had a cancellation. They were wonderful, from the front desk to the assistant and also the doctor. Gave me some options without being pushing , was concerned about my well being, not the checkbook! I highly recommend Cape Smile for your dentist needs!

Fantastic experience: During our 6 week stay at our condo I developed a severe toothache. Cape Smiles was recommended by a local friend. I walked in and an appointment was made for me early the next day. The office staff, hygenist and Dr. Dias were all so nice and helpful. My dentist back home sent xrays to them via email and Dr. Diaz solved my problem. I am so glad I traveled to Cape Smiles for my emergency issue. I highly recommend them. Very nice office and waiting room supplied with coffee products, television and music.

Fantastic experience: Cape Smile is a professional practice with focus on their customers. I had a loose bridge that was done at another dentist office and that dentist would not take the lose bridge off and replace it with better one, the bridge had came off previously and I had told the dentist that I didn't feel the bridge was a proper fit, instead he put it back on and it then came loose, then he quoted me for another bridge involving more teeth for the bridge and told me to wait until this one came off, all this in less than a year!!! I then was referred to Cape Smile, I explained to the (woman) dentist everything that happened to me and that I needed a better bridge with a good fit, the dentist did not waste time, she looked at the bridge and with a few x-rays told me she could replace the bridge and was ready to start immediately!!! I had the new bridge put on three weeks later and the fit and feel of the bite was so accurate that I could not find any problems with my bite, they felt as if they were my own natural teeth, the look and finish was amazing!!! I spent a large amount of money trying to have all my dental work done at the previous dentist, but when you put your customers opinion like it's not relevant because you think what you know is better for them then you are no longer a customer, you are just a wallet spitting out money!!! I like the fact that the Dentist at Cape Smile listed to the way I felt and how uncomfortable the bridge felt, and she didn't make me feel like my opinion wasn't important, she focused immediately on a solution and I'm extremely happy with the results, I thank her and her assistant and the front office for treating me good and for being patient with me during that process because I was having a large amount of discomfort when I got there! Thank you Cape Smile for a professional job!!!

They got me in for an emergency and gave me plenty of breaks and encouragement throughout this procedure. Negative experience: I recently lost my job and my dental insurance coverage will be ending August 30, 2024. I called Cape Smiles Dentistry to make an appointmen and they were able to get me in today for a new patient appointment. They informed me that this appointment would involve x-rays, full examination and a full mouth cleaning. After an hour and a half x-rays and examination, They informed me that I needed a deep cleaning that would cost me approximately $500 out of pocket. I informed them that I lost my job and unfortunately could not pay for this, so I would just like a general cleaning that was included in my visit and covered by insurance. They refused to do the cleaning. They stated that because I needed a deep cleaning, it would be unethical to give me a general cleaning. I informed them multiple times that I could not pay for anything other than what was covered under my insurance. I asked them if doing a general cleaning would pose any risk to me, and they stated it would not, but it would just be a surface cleaning. I stated that I was fine with a surface level cleaning because it was better than nothing. They still refused to do a cleaning. They are billing my insurance company for the full new patient visit, yet refused to provide the services that were included and covered. And because of this, I will be unable to make an appointment with another provider because it will not be covered by my insurance. What is unethical is refusing to provide any sort of treatment to a patient because they are not willing to pay out-of-pocket for what you think they need. If I went into the emergency room with a broken arm and an open wound, and my insurance only covered bandaging the open wound, as a doctor wouldn't covering the wound would make more sense than telling me you'll do nothing.

Fantastic experience: The person i spoke to was excellent when I made the appointment, also when I asked if they needed X-rays taken 6 months earlier. When I went to the appointment the person at the check in was efficient and helpful. The hygienist Amanda was excellent in her procedure and told me every step of the way. Dr Rodregious (sorry for the spelling) was very helpful in his explanation and plan of treatment. My next appointment was made in one week and two other subsequent appointments were made. A+

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment set for mid September for a new patient comprehension exam but then had a dental emergency when an old filling came out. Office was able to see me that day and prepped my tooth for a crown. Office staff was pleasant and informative and I look forward to continuing with the office

Very gentle and I’m always anxious to see the dentist, but they really take good care of you and explain everything that needs to be done.

Fantastic experience: Up date Since my first visit 6 months ago I've had two caps at Cape smiles. If I tried I couldn't find anything about the service or procedures hat wasn't five stars. To me it seems rare to find such a well-run medical office of any kind that seems to deliver such exceptional results... I'm 65, in my lifetime I've had some good dental work and some not so good. I think Cape smiles could be the best. Cape Smiles, my first visit. Very high level of service. From front to back absolutely professional. There are discount dental offices with posted prices less than what I paid, however today I am certain I received a first rate exam and consultation. Update: yesterday I received an extraction and an accompanying bone graft. Everything went perfectly virtually no discomfort at all. I believe Cape smiles places a high premium on the cosmetic quality/outcome of their dental procedures. Excellent dental office, but pricey. $$$

Fantastic experience: I am extremely pleased and happy with Cape Smiles Dentistry, Dr.Wise and Dental Assistant Belkis are my heroes! I came in because I had a cavity that was deep in one of my molars, another dentistry establishment said that my molar wasn't recoverable so I came here for a second opinion, it ended up being recoverable and cheaper than what the other dentistry wanted to do which was an extraction and then an implant or a bridge. The front desk assistants were very friendly and helpful. I was attended by Dr. Wise and Dental Assistant Belkis, they were very kind and helpful, they saw my problem and we went over every option, we got a plan and after getting everything that I needed done I have an awesome crown! I highly recommend Cape Smiles Dentistry, I will be recommending them to everyone I know. Always seek second opinions!

Negative experience: I can say they are very nice and friendly BUT they can not make dentures at all. My mom has been trying to get dentures from them since July she has been back 4 times and they just keep making them wrong, way to big. Its absolutely ridiculous. I don't think they know what they are doing...I will not recommend this place to anyone..
