Fantastic experience: Everything went so well. As for someone who is always nervous when it comes to dental, yes! They were great, very helpful, very caring and patient. I will definitely go back. Dr Drake and her team did a really good job. Thank you “Jackie” for preparing me at each steps to go through all the procedures, you are the best!! I recommend Bonita Dental Arts.

Negative experience: This is the second time I have been to this office. My hygienist was excellent. I have insurance which fully covers 6 month cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, etc. So I do not appreciate being charged for ‘extra’ procedures that are not needed, nor did I approve of especially when my insurance doesn’t cover them! This should have been noted BEFORE being performed. $80 for 3 root images? Seriously?

Fantastic experience: First time patient for evaluation & cleaning. I showed up at 8am. My appointment was for 2:30pm ( I messed up). Receptionist said we'll get you in now so you don't have to leave & come back. Katie was my hygienist. She was welcoming, professional, and overall awesome!!! It was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dental practice for a few years and all my interactions have been very positive from the front desk, the hygienists and Dr Drake. All the work I have had done has been excellent with attention to best results. I had an emergency and was seen the day I called. All the possible treatment choices were carefully explained and I chose to have an implant and have a referral to a periodontist to have that done. In the meantime tomorrow I go back to have my custom designed by Dr Drake flipper which looks like my tooth fitted and placed so I don’t have a big gap for the holidays. Thank you Bonita Dental Arts! UPDATE: Dec 2025- it has taken almost a year to finish the implant process due to an inflammation of the bone that Dr Drake found on my first visit when the process started in Jan 2025. She sent me to a periodontist who sent me to an oral surgeon due to that inflammation and it had to be treated before the implant could be done. I am now back to have the final crown put on am 100% confident it will be perfect when she finishes it on Dec 22,2025. This office is amazing and caring and so is she!

I’m a person that has anxiety about the dentist and I wasn’t made to feel like there was something wrong with me for feeling anxious. I was given nitrous oxide and my cleaning and check up happened with NO anxiety. I also appreciated knowing how much my visit would cost BEFORE the work was done. No surprises. That was wonderful. My hygienist, Peyton was very personable and very good at her craft. I highly recommend Bonita Dental Arts. Just had a tooth extracted by Dr Drake. Her and her staff were wonderful once again. They answered all my questions, were kind, I knew all the costs prior to the procedure and Dr Drake removed that tooth with minimal pain. She is a great dentist with a kind and efficient staff.

Fantastic experience: They have consistently provided a great dental experience. The office is very friendly, they send reminders, and always call to check in after having a procedure done. Their hygienist (Haley I think?) was very careful & informative. All dental assistants have been great but I find myself favoring Mandy - she’s knowledgeable & makes you feel very relaxed & comfortable-which is a plus for me bc I get anxiety at the dentist. I end w/ Dr. Drake. She is beautiful inside and out! First of all she is honest & doesn’t rip you off- one example is she was able to help me save 2 teeth with crowns whereas another dentist was pushing for 2 implants. Dr Drake is kind, does incredible work & I am very excited for their in house endodontist they will have starting next week. 5 stars on this establishment. ⭐️

Negative experience: As a patient of over 13 years, I recently received a bill for $351, pertaining to services rendered a year prior, which my insurance had not covered. The provided explanation was limited to the insurance not meeting expected payment, and I was not offered an apology. The billing delay and the timing of the notification, occurring after my recent appointment, have caused considerable disappointment. Given the lengthy travel time and the availability of numerous other dental practices in the Fort Myers area, I am seeking a more efficient and transparent billing process in the future.

Fantastic experience: I have had swollen, bleeding gums for years. Julie suggested I massage my gums with a rotary tooth brush and water pic with peroxide. A week later the bleeding stopped. and the swelling was reduced . So happy with the results

Negative experience: Went here for a cleaning. When making the appt i made it clear i just wanted a cleaning with no X-ray. The receptionist said she would make a note of it. Arrived at appt and office mgr insisted that i get an X-ray or they wouldn't clean my teeth. I ended up just leaving with no work performed. First time in my life i have ever walked out on an appt!

Negative experience: Established patient arriving for routine teeth cleaning. Incompetent front desk staff allows me to sit for 30 minutes before approaching me with a bill to approve prior to treatment. The bill was for $625! When I inquired about the exorbitant cost, I was told I needed x-rays and evaluation before I could have my teeth cleaned. I offered the tel. number of my northern dentist who would have provided recent x-ray images. Twenty minutes later, I’m told ‘No X-rays, no cleaning.’ I refused such an exorbitant up charge for a simple cleaning. Left and will not return.

Fantastic experience: I have spent half of my life in a dental chair, so it’s with these past experiences that I say I am so glad I found BDA, and Dr Drake. First they ask what are your expectations, and offer solutions. In addition to an upper denture, they made a partial lower denture. Upon first putting it in, I thought they had already removed it, as there was no pain, and fit perfectly! I still sometimes will forget to remove it at night, it feels so natural! And they are punctual, place is spotless. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Julie was awesome and quickly put my dental anxiety at ease. She checked in with me often during my cleaning to make sure "I was still with her". The reception staff went above and beyond scheduling my root canal and were definitely more excited than me.

Negative experience: Very bad experience with Dr. Drake. I am 36 and was advised by Dr. Drake to have my 4 bottom teeth pulled and to put a bridge in after 1 appointment and some initial imaging. Fortunately, I sought three additional opinions and none of the other dental professionals I saw including an oral surgeon, periodontist and prosthodontist agreed with Dr. Drake's recommendation. They also confirmed that the imaging taken in her office was overexposed and inaccurate as well as the charting of the gums (her charting rated me a 5 and 6 in places when the other practices found no worse than a 4). Dr. Drake didn't suggest taking another xray or doing the charting herself before making her recommendation and trying to get me scheduled. In fact, she made me so concerned that my front teeth were going to fall out I left in tears and ate soft foods for a week till I could get in to see someone else. In the end, I worked with a Periodontist, Dr. Jusino (he's great) for debridement then a laser procedure to promote gum healing. The procedure was less than 1/4 the cost of what Dr. Drake recommended. My teeth look and feel great and I am just thankful I trusted my gut and got another opinion. If you do see this doctor BEWARE. It certainly felt like they tried to play into my naivety to get me to sign on for a very expensive, life altering procedure. You can't get your teeth back!!

Fantastic experience: The office staff were attentive and friendly. My dental hygienist Laura was mindful of my tooth sensitivity and was careful not to cause me any discomfort. Dr. Drake took time to review the x-rays that were sent from my dentist in Maryland. A great first visit.
