Fantastic experience: Howard family dentist has exceptional service. I was greeted kindly at the front desk on my arrival. My dental Hygienist was named Mel ! She was very informative and explained everything to me . Dr.Jamie was also very knowledgeable and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I am extremely pleased with Howard Family Dental. I have been going to this practice for 5 years and I really like Dr. Jaime. She is extremely knowledgeable, gives you a very thorough exam and takes the time to explain what needs to be done if she notices anything. She is very straight forward, professional, pleasant and nice. I feel very comfortable with her. Melinda her dental hygenist has the same mannerisms and work ethic. She is also very nice and knowledgeable. It has been a great experience for me in finding a good dentist.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, Tk cleaned my teeth and she was so gentle, if you are sensitive she is the one to go to, Tonya cleaned my daughter's teeth and she was able to get something out of her teeth that other office could not. Dr. Jamie was so sweet and did not try to over diagnose my problems.

Fantastic experience: I think Howard Family Dental is one of the best dentistry offices in Savannah/Pooler. My hygienist was super sweet, and the dentist was also very understanding and gentle during my cleaning. They take the time to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy, and you can tell they really care about their patients’ dental health. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming. I definitely recommend them; they have all the basic options to help with your dental needs.

Negative experience: Had an appointment but after I got there, said they was working around me. Made me feel REALLY BAD. I felt so bad after waiting over an hour. With the PAIN I have, I walked out. Hopefully I can find someone quite to pull this tooth, it infected and your office made me feel like a NO ONE...

My hygienist Rayna, was fantastic. She took her time, explained the processes she was about to do and checked to make sure I was ok at each step. I definitely feel like I have found a dental office that I can trust, so much so, I have told my wife to look into being seen here! Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and was able to contact one of the Dentists after-hours. She was very understanding and helpful. I received a call the moment they opened the following morning. The office accommodated seeing me immediately and they repaired my tooth during the visit. I’m so thankful to have this office!

Positive experience: I had an appointment today for periodontal maintenance/cleaning. The dentist never came to speak with me even though I had questions. The hygienist went back and forth relaying my questions and the dentist's answers. I need several fillings and had to schedule THREE MONTHS out, as the "next available appointment." This is ridiculous. The 3 stars are given for Kassie, my dental hygienist, who is AWESOME! She deserves 10 stars!

Negative experience: I've gone here for over 10 years and have loved it. But the last 2/3 years havent been very good. Constant staff changes and just not as personal or friendly as they used to be.

Negative experience: Don't understand why you tell patients that they have a 10min grace period to hold an appointment. Appointment was at 7:50 patient called said they would be in at 8am, was stated over the phone that if not there by 8am appointment would be released. Patient is in the office at 8am, patient is told they have to reschedule! Cannot express enough the disappointment with this office regarding this issue.

She did a great job of explaining what my issues were & how i could improve my dental health. Her understanding of the field is so thorough that i didn’t have any questions after visits. Overall the staff is kind & everyone has a smile on or a good attitude. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Negative experience: Very disappointed as an expected new patient and a disabled veteran. Was unable to get an dental appointment due to schedule conflict with other medical appointments. Filled out all the new patient paperwork day before was expected to attendthe appointment. I had an child care issue and could not attend appointment. I was met with a nice nasty attitude from the scheduler about how she didn't appreciate me wasting the Dentists time… I would have been an no show no call if I didn't call to say I couldn't make the appointment. I asked for an another day and I was met with another rude demeanor by the new patient scheduler about how the VA only gives you a couple of months to schedule an appointment. The point is that is She didn't have to be rude to me things happen. the VA Reffered me to this dental company. People really lack patient and compassionate all they care is the mighty dollar meanwhile I was sacrificing my health and sanity to protect them. Interesting. What a world we live in.

Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed with Howard Family Dental, a practice I have been loyal to since childhood. Recently, I fell off my parents' insurance and needed some fillings. Despite the practice serving my family and friends for over a decade, I no longer feel valued as a patient without insurance. Over the years, I have seen many dentists leave and stay within the Howard family, always living up to their slogan with the word "friendly" in it. However, this friendliness seems reserved only for those with insurance. It is disheartening to realize that the care I received, which helped transform my previously terrible teeth to a healthy state, now feels conditional on my insurance status. I understand the need for caution when dealing with uninsured patients, but being told to come up with over a thousand dollars in under a week without an option for a payment plan is disgusting and discriminatory. In this economy, expecting someone to pay such a large sum upfront is unrealistic. I could have managed the payment over a few months, but the refusal to accommodate shows a money-hungry attitude that neglects long-time patients. This experience has been unprofessional and disheartening, revealing that their priority is not patient care but servicing a certain demographic. I rarely write reviews, even when I have a good experience, due to my busy schedule. However, I felt compelled to share my disappointment after being turned away by the place that once gave me the confidence to smile. It is clear they no longer value all their patients equally.

Negative experience: Update: I am so disappointed in the turn this practice made after Dr. Jason left. 1. I was told if I pushed my six month cleaning out a few months I could be charged extra for a deep cleaning; I used to come in once a year and had no issues. I was planning to ride in with one of my children. Fine; that is a 'could be charged.' I moved my family to a practice 40 minutes closer to our residence. 2. I am at my mother's and discussing dental offices. She informed me of the following: Dr. Jason had done thousands of dollars worth of work right before he moved to a Savannah office. At her first visit with the new dentist, she was told she needed quite a bit of work done?!? For her next six-month appointment, my mother followed Dr. Jason to Savannah. There was no more mention of this supposed, needed work; it has been several years. 3. This has me thinking... maybe, I should have gotten a second opinion when my adult son who has good, appropriate hygeine was told he had six cavities. 4. I was told my daughter needed thousands of dollars worth of aligners. I took her for a second opinion. The Orthodontist Charged Less than a third. My only regret as to leaving... I do Really miss my hygienist. 5 Years Ago My family has been going to Howard Family Dental for over 20 years. We have had an extremely positive experience from the entire Pooler Howard Dental staff.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental experience of my 52 years. The hygienist and the Doctor actually listened to my input and included me in the development of my treatment plan. The hygienist was superb and all but painless. She also is the best taker of xrays I've ever encountered. The reception people are fun, kind, and courteous. I can't sing their praises loudly enough.

From the moment you walk in the door Lorena makes you immediately feel welcome. My Dental Hygienist, Rayna, has changed the way I perceive oral health completely! Negative experience: I’ve been waiting 3 months for a cleaning appointment. My appointment was for April 8th. I received a text to verify insurance. I have been with HFD Bluffton for over 2 years. The x-rays at HFD Bluffton are not sufficient for HFD Pooler. I get a call saying I have to come in and pay for more advanced x-rays then we can determine if I just need a cleaning or deep-cleaning. Sounds like a scam to force patients into a deep cleaning for more $$$ Avoid this facility if you are seeking them to be a new patient.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr Erin and her team, they do everything to make you comfortable and go over everything in detail, there are no surprises and they get you taken care of with no high pressure tactics or sales pitches like I have experienced at other dentists, they are all great from check in to check out, it is an easy experience.

Negative experience: Made a 700 appointment. When I arrived, was told that it was changed to 950. No one called to ask if this was ok or even to let me know of changes. This was going to be my first visit! I told them to cancel since bad experience from start.

Negative experience: My mother is a patient here and has been treated very unprofessional. The billing specialist and the billing team has treated her badly and has violated her rights as a patient. You absolutely cannot charge nor keeps funds for services you didn’t not perform. This place is a joke. Responding to reviews and not taking care of the problem is putting a bandage over mistreatment of patients rights and responsibilities. I have read several reviews and this office is not only taking money and misleading patients they are getting away with it. We will continue to put out to the public the disrespect and under handed robbery they are committing. Not only did they speak to my mother in a manner “ we” did not appreciate they are violating her rights as a patient. Do not I repeat do not use their services. Of course there will be a few who may get good services but the reviews of under handed robbery and uneducated billing experience speaks for itself.
