Fantastic experience: All of the receptionist were professional. We arrived a few minutes early, and they we're able to get us started right away. We filled out the Paperwork that they sent us online. Check in and check out was a breeze. Would definitely recommend this Dentist office.

Negative experience: Not good with plans. Came in for a massive jaw pain to get some extracted teeth. Turns out, I have to schedule in 3 weeks and deal with the pain for now. And oh yeah they’re chairs are uncomfy

Positive experience: Work is nothing to complain about but they should really tell people at least if they are going to cancel their appointments if they don't confirm them by 12pm the day prior and should let people know if they are more than 5 mins late their appointment is cancelled so people are aware.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, timely, nice, & professional! I cry almost every time I've ever been to a dentist. Mostly because I'm embarrassed of how bad my teeth have gotten. They were very thorough with X-rays, examining, & by helping me formulate a plan. I was unable to make contact over the phone. Called 3 times & left messages, attempting to schedule appointment.. Unfortunately, with no return call or contact. Today when I walked in, I mentioned "my trouble" & just said I'd like to make an appointment in person then. A very nice lady at the desk said "since you're already here, I do have an opening at 2pm if you're interested!?" I really appreciated that because I don't currently have transportation. The hygienist was a very sweet young lady she gave directions well, seemed very experienced, explained each step to me, & then asked did I have any questions for her before she got the Dentist. 4 seconds later she came back with Dr. "Martin"/Renemans. I thought it was quite nice he didn't ask "how are you" he says to me "hi I'm Dr.Martin, how are you feeling?" I told him actually I'm very embarrassed, in pain, & I feel very inexperienced. He was very reassuring, took his time with me & working well with the hygienist. After examining he asked how I felt about a root canal or would I just prefer to pull it? Quickly formed a plan of action for me & explained kinda what that will look like. I haven't had any procedures done with them yet as my appointment is Feb 16th but I do feel like I was able to get a "good read" on the office itself. They WORK I tell you. They were definitely busy for a middle of the winter day & I still had little to no wait. I really hope everything goes as seamless as possible with my extractions on the 16th because it is absolutely terrifying to me. As for today, I had a pleasant experience. I didn't cry today because really didn't make me feel like I had anything to be ashamed of excited to have healthy teeth soon enough

Negative experience: Went in for lower partial impressions on January 13th. Once in the chair I was told just breathe through your nose, she gets the mold filled places it in the lower, then applies a extreme amount of pressure (painful) and holds it there until the compound cures. It's Thursday and there are raised irritated areas about .5 inches below my gum line and base of my tongue. She DID NOT forewarne me about the big glob of compound that was going to/ or possibly would cut off my airway. So of course, I panicked and removed it quickly. No Im sorry, or are you okay... I said I'm sorry though. Then asked if she could possibly use a little less compound so it wouldn't create a glob that obstructs my airway. Note - I'm calm,not speaking loud being respectful as one should. So I try again.... trying to breathe through my nose the go 2nd round, to get the upper impression. Unfortunately the same thing happens. :( She leaves the room and brings a dentist in, he immediately says "SINCE YOU'RE COOPERATING" We are going to do this!! * I never stand up for myself, but I did that day!!! I said "Hold on!! What you said was wrong, I am cooperating, I am trying! My body is just responding to what is happening. You should have said since your body is responding, this way..." His response was yeah, so,... since you are responding like that we can do scans, I asked would the insurance cover it , he was hesitant, I asked again and she was like oh yeah it will be covered. I stay in the chair hesitantly. Not one time was I asked if I was okay, not one time was I told the compound will block your airway. Not one time did I feel a single sense of compassion,understanding care or concern. *The doctor (dentist) did not introduce himself, he literally walked in and said "SINCE YOU'RE NOT COOPERATING". After they stepped out, I decided it was time to go! I got up from the chair and walked away without saying a word. No one should be treated this way, I mean NO ONE!

Negative experience: i’m a little confused how this place has nearly 5 stars on Google.. I had a cleaning eight months ago, and they told me they found a bunch of cavities in which they claim to have sealed and treated properly. I am now trying to get aligners and my orthodontist has tried contacting them numerous times and not only did they not answer but they never called them back which then has left me without aligners that I have paid $5000 for Because they can’t continue my treatment until my prior treatment has been confirmed… On top of this, I ended up having to have my orthodontist just do a cleaning for me because they couldn’t get the confirmation, And they found that the sealant wasn’t done well at all, and is now popping off of my teeth and has piles of junk under the sealant as well as multiple holes left in my teeth.. I am so disappointed because everything about this place has delayed the process of me getting my aligners. I understand no one is perfect but the least you could do is answer the phone or call someone back. only giving two stars because the employees that I actually dealt with as far as my cleaning and stuff were friendly.

Negative experience: This Place is Terrible! I go to my second visit yesterday for more X-rays and one lady was talking to me do an x-ray and the second lady came in to help she just kept taking x-rays didn't even ask me to open my mouth bite down once or twice she might have said it but very unprofessional I had to ask her what her name was she didn't even tell me who she was! Then today I get a text message telling me when I'm going to have a doctor's appointment next week there for my teeth and they didn't even tell me yesterday did I approve of the time and what they were going to do they didn't say nothing to me these people are terrible for them to have Medicaid patients they treating me like a second-class citizen I guess I'm on Medicaid Dot they good at giving directors but they don't want to hear anything you got to say they're very fast pace and they don't want to put you in there and out the door fast! Kindness is always free! It seems like they're bully and push you there it's like you're going to go by what we tell you we don't care what you got to say I should be told what my dental appointment is going to be not get a message telling me when it's going to be and I don't know approve it. Very good at giving directives very fast they don't care about nobody there! Tammy Howard the office Manager listen to my situation as I told her that no one told me what I was getting done they just gave me a dental appointment they should have asked me is this dental appointment going to work for you but it's not just tell me when I'm coming in there! Office Manager is 100% unprofessional rude disrespectful to people on Medicaid!

Negative experience: Worst customer services never take you back on time For your appointment I have waited over an hour to be taking back I have also had my mouth done and all of my filling came out that same week all of the work is rushed no one takes time with your care i pray no one gets seriously injured

Negative experience: Even though I’ve had very pleasant experiences with Community Dental during the past years going there in Wilmington, aside from problems with getting in touch with them; my experience was very very sad and disappointing today! After driving over an hour on this stormy day, I get there to learn that Community would not prep me to get a new set of partial upper dentures replaced! I’d purchased a pair almost two years ago with my Medicare, Medicaid, and Humana insurance plan from here. That pair fell out and broke so after a time of other medical issues, I attempted to get a new one as i really need then, but I sadly learned today, for the first time, that their procedure between the dentist’s office insurance coverage; and this governmental chaos; I now have to wait 5(five) years before I’m allowed to get another set, en though I have enough insurance to cover the cost! I’m just a 66yo disabled senior citizen who no longer has Medicaid assistance due to the “cuts” who’s unable to work because of a liver transplant, three strokes, diabetes, HBP and other chronic conditions who always worked all my life until my health started failing me and can’t seem to get any of the so-called assistance that everyone else says I qualify for! I do get $26 dollars in EBT food card assistance, and limited Medicare but don’t be anything else because Medicaid was cut on the first of the year so I can’t afford to buy the $900 cost for paying the partial dentures that I need. The laughed, smiled and told me to have a good day and be careful going out the door!

Positive experience: Dr. didn’t introduce himself-I had never seen him before. No one explained where my dentist, Dr. Morgan was. I had asked for an appointment with her.

Negative experience: If I could give Dr.Morgan no stars I would. Not only did I come to her with tooth pain asking for my tooth to be pulled she filled it instead. Less than a week later the filling fell out. I went back and she decided to pull it this time. Not only was she rude and very passive she left a part of my tooth in the hole. I was told it will fall out. Here it is 2/3 weeks later and I’m still in pain. I would never recommend this doctor or dentist to anyone! If you want your needs to be looked over this is the perfect place for you!

Positive experience: I’m writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the conduct of the staff member who answered the phone this morning—someone by the name of Shamiyah or Shamia. Her attitude was not only unprofessional but completely lacking in empathy, courtesy, and basic customer service. This is a dental office, not a fast-food drive-thru, and patients deserve to be treated with respect and care. I have been a patient at this office for over a year and have never experienced such disrespect and to make matters worse, she hung up the phone in my face while I was still talking. I truly feel for Dr. Schryer, who may be unaware that someone representing his practice is likely running off loyal patients with such behavior.

Negative experience: Place gave me the impression its a insurance farm. They seem to try to milk your insurance. I needed some teeth pulled. Dentist came strutting in whistling and told me he wouldnt do with my teeth what i asked, said he do a few but said i didnt want what i wanted. He said he wouldnt pull good teeth. Hed do other things, he said he wouldnt pull from one side, i opened my mouth and showed him one of those teeth from the side he wouldnt pull. He then contridicted himself. And said wait yea we will pull that one. I think this dentist is a joke, he came across very cocky. My teeth, my call. I later was sceduled without my permission. I was called by them and all i said was i no longer had insurance, i was switching providers but instead they cancelled my appointment, real quick. I didnt ask to be cancelled, but they did. And no i didnt want the appointment anyways, but never said anything to them about that. On top of everything else, this leads me to believe they are milking insurance for money. The office staff cant figure out how schedule correctly, double books appointments and then tells you one appointment time and when you get there its wrong so they say they dont have time for you. Because you were late by 12 minutes. I had nothing but a bad experience here. Didnt like the dentist because of his lack of care. Didnt like the office staff because of their inability to schedule correctly and how they couldnt even smile. Will not be returning here, but dentist offices are a dime a dozen, there is nothing special about this one. Especially with their busted xray machine. Nothing like having radiation zapped through your face with a busted tool.

Fantastic experience: I took my twins today for their first dentist appointment & they were very nervous, but we had an exceptional experience & now they can’t wait to go back! The staff is amazing, particularly our hygienist Andrea. She made them feel so comfortable & even excited about their oral hygiene. Honestly, things could not have gone smoother from check in to check out, everything & everyone was seamless & incredibly kind & professional.

Negative experience: No one ever answers the phone here. If you leave a message (which they warn you not to leave multiple of—I wonder why that is) they don’t return it. You basically have to roll the dice to catch someone on the phone by calling over and over again multiple days in a row. And if you do get through, they’re liable to leave you on hold for 10+ minutes until the line simply disconnects. Then, when you call them back, the front office staff is exceptionally rude to you. Due to complications with insurance, it was necessary for me to pay for several procedures out of pocket. Okay, no problem. That’s life. They gave me a dental treatment plan and estimates on the out of pocket costs for a cleaning, three fillings, and two root canals. No problem there. What they don’t do is effectively communicate just exactly what all that entails, and then make snide remarks and act condescendingly towards you when you try to explain why you’re upset or surprised. For the two root canals they referred me out of office (shout out to Coastal Endodontics—Dr. Ward is awesome and he does great work) I go and get them done but then I come to find out I need to go back to Your Community Dental for the fillings and crowns which were NOT listed as part of the treatment plan and that it’ll be over $2,300 for them. When I state that wasn’t part of the treatment plan I’m scolded like a petulant child and reminded that “we told you twice that your insurance wasn’t going to cover it” yes, I’m aware of that fact thank you very much. But you DIDN’T tell me that if I didn’t want to live with temporary fillings in my teeth I’d need to cough up $2,300 that has appeared out of thin air, when it simply could’ve been a part of the treatment plan that you already gave me. Additionally I was a little dismayed that Dr. Schryer didn’t seem too concerned with two of my other teeth that are developing cavities, but I figured I would just have him check them out when I went back for my deep cleaning. However I am no longer interested whatsoever in returning to this office for said cleaning or any future procedures with the way their office staff treats patients. Dr. Schryer did do a fine job on my fillings, so no complaints there. I don’t question his competency as a dentist but I certainly question his choice in front office staff. It blows my mind that in 2025 anyone can act that way (raising your voice at a patient? Really??) and still have a job. My wife and I will be looking for a new dentist office. Don’t go here if you value manners and respect. The office staff certainly aren’t going to treat you with any.

Negative experience: I have only been going to them for about a year because they were the only ones that I could find that took my Medicaid at the time I was looking for a dentist. BUT I called and had to leave a message because no one ever picks up there, on 4/29/25 to say I thought I was getting a cavity and wanted to make an appointment to come in to get it checked….now on their answering machine they say they will call you back that day or the day following….they need to change it to will never call you back because it’s going on 4 weeks and still have not had a call back. I’ll probably be looking for another dentist soon. They clearly DONT care about their patients at ALL!

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr. G with a broken tooth—and a lot of anxiety. My last dentist literally killed someone, so trust wasn’t something I gave easily. But from the moment I walked in, Dr. G and the entire staff were incredible. They got me in quickly, handled the exam, root canal, and crown with total professionalism, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. They even offered flexible payment options that, had I needed them, would have been an absolute Godsend. The kindness and compassion they showed made a huge difference. Honestly? 10 out of 10—would have a root canal again (and how often can you say that?). Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to go, my original appointment was next month. But I got a phone call asking if I would like to come in the next day, of course I agreed because I'm in a lot of pain with a bad tooth! Later that day I found out I was unable to take that opening due to work. I called the office to let them know but got the voicemail and of course I left a clear message stating I could not do that appointment I would like to just stick with my original appointment for next month! Didn't get a phone call back untill the time of the appointment from a very rude lady with a attitude because I was unable to make it! I'm sure this is a nice dentist, but don't miss a appointment or they will make u feel like crap!!!

Negative experience: Seemed to be the fastest "cleaning" I have ever had, like 5 minutes. . I got one small filling on a second appointment and soon after knew something was wrong within the next day. I went back in for a 3rd appointment because something was not right, expecting a solution to a serious problem, and Dr. Schryer did not listen to me what so ever. I left with him telling me its nothing and its just me. I then went to a great emergency dentist in Wilmington to have the tooth looked at and he said the tiniest speck of dust can make the filling not stick right. He said it was a good filling but said thats what probably happened since I was in pain and having a ton of sensitivity. He asked if I wanted to go back to the Dr. that did it and tell him I got a second opinion and it does in fact need to be redone. I said I would rather have him redo the filling for me and I paid out of pocket. I chose not to see Dr. Schryer again because he really could care less about my time or what I had to say about my own teeth.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved my visit! My dental hygienist and Dr. Williams was absolutely phenomenal!! My little girl had to come to the office with me for my visit and the staff were so friendly and kind to her throughout my visit. Definitely happy I found them! 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Hadn’t been to the dentist in a while and they’re really the only place that would accept Medicaid. When I got there it was very clean and they were getting busy. Regardless of the business everyone was still very polite and welcoming. Everyone clearly knew what they were doing and I felt confident in their abilities. Definitely recommend this dentistry!

Fantastic experience: My name is Lori Kluck. My dentist appointment was today. I had an excellent experience. I was 15 minutes late so they didnt even have to see me, but they did. Mr. Williams was my dentist; he was very kind, and professional. He's getting approval from my insurance for me to get a partial. I have been very self-conscious and unhappy for a while about my teeth and I'm very grateful that I wont have to feel that way much longer. Would highly recommend this dentist to everyone.

Negative experience: They don't accept responsibility when something goes wrong. They want to blame the patient. My jaw popped out after I asked them to use a supportive device. They expect me to pay out of pocket to have my jaw popped back in place. Now I see what people are saying about how different this management is from the last a top quality staff.

Fantastic experience: I usually take my kids to Waterford Dentist in Leland but when I tried to make my kids appt they told me they no longer accepted Medicaid! ‍♀️I had to find someone asap and last minute! They not only took my kid in last minute, they were pleasant the appointment was quick and my kid is happy! I CANT THANK THE WHOLE TEAM/STAFF ENOUGH and I’m switching to them as well for all our dental needs!

Fantastic experience: I wouldn’t have dental care if this practice didn’t exist. I’m a retired, senior and have gone through some money greedy bad dental practices. I found this practice from a recommendation eight years ago. One of the best recommendations I’ve ever gotten! So I recommend them to anyone whose looking for an affordable dental care.

Negative experience: This place need to be shut down. Their customer service is awful and not professional at all. They hardly ever answer the phone. After finally getting a call back the person I talked to said she need to get more information, never returned my call. I called again which took about 2 days to get through to someone. The person I talked to said the same thing, " I need to get more information". Of course she never returned my call with any information. This place deserves no stars.....

Fantastic experience: I absolutely dread going to the dentist so I rarely go. That has changed since I started going here. The staff are all very nice a genuinely just want to help you out with your teeth. Excellent work and excellent service here! They take the time to listen to any concerns you may have and are very accommodating. I can't express how pleased I am with this dental office! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I called yesterday and was able to get in the same day for tooth pain my dental asst was GREAT!!Due to high fear of dentist it has been a long time and there was no judgement from her or the dentist.They both took time to explain things and talked to me to put me at ease while there.

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office. Today was my first visit. I had a tooth extraction, which I'm pretty sure isn't supposed to be a pleasant experience; but somehow Dr. Schryer made it one. He's a great dentist. Everyone in the office that I interacted with was super nice - really an amazing atmosphere. I'm going back in a couple weeks for a cleaning and.... I never thought I'd say this.... but I'm kinda looking forward to it. If you're looking for a great dentist in Wilmington, NC, check these folks out.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very welcoming when you come in so they definitely make you feel comfortable! The dentist is amazing and so are the hygienist they are all very nice and know how to make you feel comfortable and they always let you know what they are doing and explain everything very well! And always ask how you are doing to make sure you are comfortable well your teeth are being worked on I switched dentist recently I've been here twice already and absolutely love them I'll be recommending them to family and friends and continuing to come back thanks

Fantastic experience: Dr Williams is a wonderful dentist!! He makes me feel comfortable and is kind. My medication has destroyed my teeth and he is in the process of trying to help me fix them. He does an amazing job and I really appreciate everything he is doing!!

Fantastic experience: Very professional and affordable dental care in a clean and pleasant setting... Preston is a young upcoming dentist who is very talented and has a great personality that will put you at ease. I have been seeing him for about 5 years and he has done several crowns for me. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Fantastic experience: Just got back from my appointment at Your Community Dental, I am only irritated because I can't give them 10 stars! So I'll do it here: lol But as far as I'm concerned, I love going to my Dentist!(go figure! ) I've always been treated like I am family! With respect, concern and a little humor! I have been going here for quite a few years, when it was owned by Dr Brown and always had a great experience! And now it's owned by Dr. Schryer,Now known as Your Community Dental, and am still treated with the same family feeling I've always gotten here! I see Dr Schryer,he's great! He's got very firm AND caring hands, he does listen if I have anything to say,and he's very good at what he does! And the rest of the staff is so friendly,there's a youthful vitality running through this office and I cant help but be happy when I'm there! And at my appointment today I had a young lady name Krista cleaning my teeth, and we clicked so fast, it was like we were unrelated sisters! (We were just having too much fun! Don't tell the boss tho! Lol....) And I'm sure there have been a few ooopses that have happened, but ya gotta remember that we are all just human! Stuff happens, but I'm here to tell you, this is not the norm here! In my time coming here, when asked for a referral to a dentist, I don't hesitate! I immediately tell them about my dental care team! And will always sent everyone to My Community Dental! (And it doesn't hurt that Dr Schryer is a cutie!.....but don't tell him I said that!) KUDOS to all at My Community Dental! Keep up the great work! Update: This place is still wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I've always had bad experiences with dental staff, always. Dr. William was laid back and chill and took his time with me to make this my first pleasant dentist visit in my entire life and I'm 39. So that's saying something. Awesome staff so far. Can't wait for my next appointment
