Fantastic experience: Friendly and talented hygienists… always put my mind at ease. They are thorough and efficient while keeping patient’s comfort at the forefront. Dr Musmar and Dr. Hadjiz are both amazing… patient yet efficient!

Negative experience: Dental Service Experience Review Although the staff is kind, my experience warrants this review. I would like to share my personal experience receiving dental care at this clinic, which has been a very disappointing and upsetting experience for me. Before visiting this clinic, I truly liked my teeth and had never had any major dental issues. The only reason I came in was due to a minor chip on my front tooth caused by an accident while playing with a child. This was a very small and simple case. During my first visit, a male dental assistant recommended that I purchase a night guard, showing me images from the internet and advising me to buy one from a store. I trusted this recommendation because I believed it was coming from a professional. About one week later, the material used to repair my tooth fell off from the same spot. I returned to the clinic for a repair. Although the result was not perfect, I chose not to raise further concerns at that time. However, during my next visit, I was again advised to use a night guard. Based on the recommendation, I decided to purchase the same one shown to me and tried wearing it for just one night. The next morning, I was shocked and extremely concerned to find that a visible gap had developed between my front teeth, something that had never happened before. I immediately made time to return to the clinic to report the issue and seek a solution. Afterward, the dentist recommended that I wear a retainer to fix the gap, even though I have never had orthodontic treatment. Although I felt uncertain about this approach, I continued to trust their professional judgment and followed the recommendation strictly, wearing the retainer for approximately 6 weeks, about 22 hours per day, as instructed. Throughout this period, I felt that the gap was not improving and became increasingly concerned. After completing the 6 weeks, there was no noticeable improvement at all. When I returned to see the dentist again, I was advised to continue wearing the retainer, despite being initially told that 6 weeks would be sufficient. What disappointed me most is that I was not clearly informed about the treatment duration or expectations from the beginning. Had I known that the process could take longer, I should have been given the opportunity to consider other treatment options. I am still unsure how long I am expected to continue wearing the retainer, and I feel that I should not have had to invest so much time and money into a treatment that has shown no clear results. What started as a minor chipped tooth turned into a front tooth gap that I never had before, requiring nearly a year of effort to address, with no satisfactory outcome. I take very good care of my dental health, and this situation should never have happened in the first place. I sincerely hope the clinic will take this experience into consideration and improve their recommendations and treatment approaches to prevent other patients from going through a similar situation in the future.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend if you have anxiety related to dental work. They had a great bedside manner, listened to my concerns and worked with me to find ways to make the experience better. They even had blankets, pillows, noise cancelling headphones etc to help!

Fantastic experience: I feel so fortunate to be able to be a patient at Reflection Dental on Little River Turnpike and have Dr. Musmar as my dentist as well as occasionally seeing the other great dentist at the practice when he might be with a different patient that day. On this occasion, I actually called the practice at night hoping to make an appointment for the next day and I only expected to leave a message. I was having some discomfort with one of my teeth and I couldn't believe that after 8 o'clock at night a friendly person actually answered the phone and made an appointment for me for the next day at 11 AM. This was incredible. Nonetheless, this is a dental practice with integrity. And that is not something that you can find everywhere.

Negative experience: SCAMMERS!!!! I have completed four prior procedures at this office without incident. However, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. During my last visit, my crown had fallen out and I returned for treatment. The crown was simply reattached with dental glue. During the procedure, both the dental assistant and the dentist explicitly stated that there would be no charge for the service. Before leaving, I also confirmed this with the billing manager at the front desk, who again assured me that I would not be billed. Several weeks later, I unexpectedly received a charge. I contacted the office on three separate occasions attempting to speak with the billing manager and was repeatedly told she was unavailable and would return my call. She never did. After continued attempts to resolve the issue, I was eventually contacted by a collections agency. I called the office once more and was again promised a return call that never came. Due to repeated calls from collections and the office’s complete lack of follow-up, I ultimately paid the charge simply to stop the harassment. This experience demonstrates a serious breakdown in communication, accountability, and patient care. The front desk staff failed to properly convey information or follow through, and management showed no concern in resolving an issue they themselves created. I will not return to this practice and cannot recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been customers for Reflection Dental Little River for over 30 years, a testimony of our confidence for the expertise of all the dentists and professional staff. We enjoy the flexibility of scheduling and the friendliness of everybody. There are a number of dental services close by but we don’t mind driving across almost the entire Fairfax County in Virginia from Chantilly. We leave with satisfaction after every procedure knowing full well our dental health is in good hands.

Negative experience: I called today for appointment for dental cleaning with Groupon Code and they told me that they don’t have any spot for 2 weeks. Because I called with Groupon Code. Otherwise I am sure they have spot for anyone except Groupon.

Fantastic experience: They have been amazing. I help a blind elderly gentleman get to his appointments and Reflection Dental has been by far the most accommodating place we’ve been (including the vision doctors!). He has a hard time due to his low vision, and they have gone out of their way to make things as easy and stress-free as possible. They have reserved us a parking spot at the door so we don’t have to walk through the parking lot, they’ve come out and helped us get inside, they’ve moved around rooms ahead of time so he wouldn’t have to move and navigate around the building more than necessary. When an emergency dental call came in and made them run a bit behind, they called to let us know so we could adjust and wouldn’t have to wait. Overall it has definitely been a 5/5 star experience. Really appreciate all of the super friendly and accommodating staff. I would definitley recommend them, particularly if you have any kind of disability and want a dentist that will take your needs into account. It’s not the biggest office so it might be difficult if you’re in a wheelchair, but you can always call and ask and they might be able to help.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this dental clinic. They charged me **$600 for cleaning just 2 teeth**, which is extremely overpriced. After the procedure, I was still in **severe pain** and felt very sick. When I asked for pain relief medication, they refused and said it would cost **even more money**. The staff showed no concern for my discomfort, and their service was unprofessional. I do **NOT recommend** this clinic to anyone—zero stars!

Negative experience: I would give them less than one star if I could. They are not upfront about the charges; you go in for a cleaning and end up paying several hundred dollars without being informed until after they complete all the procedures they consider necessary. This reflects poor business practices.

Fantastic experience: after being recommended by a friend, i came to little river and took a consultation appointment with dr. musmar. he was very kind and friendly, and extremely helpful when i explained to him that i wanted veneers. yesterday, i got the procedure done, and i am very happy with the results! it is genuinely the first time in years that i don’t feel embarrassed when i have to speak. dr. musmar and his assistant are the best!

Fantastic experience: I had been putting off going to the dentist for years. I’m glad I broke the seal at this establishment. Can’t say enough good things. Super high-tech, clean, and no wait time. But most important is the staff. Everyone was super attentive, and at every corner they always made sure I had no questions. They explained everything, supported by high-resolution photogrammetry, and high-tech scans of all kinds. They worked with me to make a plan to take care of everything. Even though my work required them to stay late, they didn’t make me feel bad about it, and I didn’t feel rushed. Every interaction with their staff, from making the appt to leaving the building, was genuinely pleasant. They even gave me a meal shake to tide me over because I hadn’t eaten! I’m lucky to have Reflection so close to home, and now I won’t ever put off going to the dentist again.

The entire staff at this office is amazing, from the front desk to the dental hygienists. Everyone is super professional and excels at their jobs. Fantastic experience: Always feels like the “welcome mat” is out for us whenever we have a visit! Have been with Dr. Musmar for decades and our whole family has been under his care. He is extremely talented and very dedicated to his dentistry mission - and an incredible person, who has become “family” to us! Negative experience: I have been going to Refection dental for last 13 years, I don’t think they care about their patients. Every time you call with a question they say that the office manager will call you back, and nobody calls you back. Recently I experienced this, I called the office everyday for 5 days every time they took my name and number and said that they will give my message to the office manager and she will call you back. I wrote a letter to Dr. Musmar, there has been no response from him as well. If they don’t care about me why should I care about them, they don’t deserve my business, there are dime a dozen dentist around!!

Reflection Dental completely removes the trepidation of going to a dentist, and the great experience begins with the kindness and helpfulness shown by the front desk personnel, like Chaniya and Alina, who are terrific at getting you properly checked in, and, afterwards, taking as much time as it may take to explain your bill so that you understand it completely. The dentists and dental techs put a smile on your face with their exceptional abilities in taking care of one’s dental needs. Reflection Dental really is the best!

Negative experience: I recently visited Reflection Dental after finding a Groupon deal that included a cleaning, X-rays, and a dentist exam for $80. My first visit was with Dr. Iyad Hijaz, and I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Hijaz was professional, thorough, and provided excellent advice on how to better care for my teeth. I felt confident in continuing my dental care at Reflection Dental based on this initial visit. However, my experience drastically changed during my second visit when I was seen by Dr. Sepehrdad Badei Fereidani, who was filling in for Dr. Hijaz. From the moment Dr. Fereidani saw me, his behavior was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. He immediately started flirting with me, which was highly inappropriate. After my dental cleaning, Dr. Fereidani took a brief look at my teeth and claimed that I had two cavities that needed immediate fillings and that I required sealants on every tooth to prevent future cavities. I take great care of my teeth, and this diagnosis was surprising to me, especially since Dr. Hijaz hadn’t mentioned any issues during my visit six months prior. When I questioned Dr. Fereidani about why this wasn’t brought up before, he became defensive and insisted that cavities can form quickly and that he knew what he was doing because he went to dental school. However, he failed to provide any evidence from the X-rays or further explanation to justify his diagnosis. Instead, he pressured me to get the fillings done immediately, which felt like a sales tactic rather than genuine care. Feeling uneasy, I decided to refuse any further service. At the end of my visit, I asked the front desk staff how the dentists could come to the conclusion that I had a cavity without showing any evidence or explaining it to me. Their response was dismissive, telling me that the darkening of the tooth was the reason, and when I questioned it further, I was told, “You need to go to dental school to understand; he is a professional and knows more than you.” This response only heightened my concerns about the legitimacy of Dr. Fereidani’s diagnosis. I then sought a second opinion from Dr. Fatemi located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, a highly recommended dentist by a family friend, with outstanding online reviews. Dr. Fatemi and Dr. Wong not only reviewed my X-rays together, but they also took the time to sit with me and explain in detail what healthy teeth look like compared to X-rays of teeth with cavities. They showed me clear proof that I had no cavities at all. This confirmed my suspicion that Dr. Fereidani had lied to me about the presence of cavities. Additionally, Dr. Fatemi and Dr. Wong explained that sealants are generally not necessary for someone like me who takes good care of their teeth. They mentioned that sealants are typically recommended only for children or adults with mental or physical disabilities who may have difficulty brushing their teeth properly. The fact that Dr. Fereidani insisted I needed sealants on all my teeth was not only unnecessary but felt like an attempt to upsell services that I didn’t need. In conclusion, while Dr. Hijaz was an honest and competent dentist, my experience with Dr. Fereidani was troubling and untrustworthy. The staff’s attitude and attempts to overcharge me on my second visit only added to my negative experience. I strongly advise anyone considering Reflection Dental to be cautious about who they see. In today’s world, where technology has made information readily accessible, dishonest practices will be uncovered, and patients deserve transparency and honesty in their healthcare. I believe that what happened to me should be a crime. I hope this review helps others avoid a similar situation.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this dental office for a couple years now. This latest visit was for a dental cleaning AND to get clearance for an upcoming surgery. Both the dental hygienist, and the dentist were extremely cautious with my exams especially in light of upcoming surgery. They made absolutely sure that I did not have any speck of infection in my mouth. I feel comfortable going into surgery (knee replacement) knowing what a thorough job they did.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I was referred for oral surgery by my primary care physician. They are filled with unprofessional staff who have no care for time nor work. They will erase your appointment, or the doctor may just not be in that day. I can on my appointment time and after 2 hours of a wait I was told that the doctor I was supposed to see is actually on vacation. I was disappointed but proceeded in making another appointment with the front desk who blamed everything on the call center representatives which is a third party. Because of the inconvenience, I made sure to schedule the appointment for when the surgeon would be there, and I made sure they had everything that was required. After two weeks of a wait, I called to confirm that everything was good to go since I did not receive a confirmation. I was told there were no appointments, and that they are unsure of what happened. I was in disbelief, so I went in person in the office as I am only three days away and I have arranged everything including time off for the procedure. Of course, the front desk associate told me that there were no appointments and that they did not have an answer rather she simply asked if I wanted to book for the next availability in about a month. Very Disappointed!

Positive experience: Easy to schedule with, reasonable prices, and the main dentist himself is great. However, my dental hygienist was very rough and hurried in conducting my cleaning -- there was water spewing all over my face and she was just jerking my face around to clean as fast as possible without using the suction. I would say the bedside manner of the hygienist was fairly gruff and unfriendly, not really concerned about the patients pain or comfort level compared to other dental hygienists. However the dentist himself was warm, friendly, and helpful. It's a mixed bag.

Fantastic experience: There is a solid reason that I am a longtime patient at Reflection Little River. My 15 years-plus association with dental hygienist, Cristina is a very professional experience. Dentist, Dr Musmar has expertly repaired 2 upper front teeth. The front office staff are friendly and welcoming. Kudos to Reflection Little River! I will be a lifetime patient.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Reflection Dental with Christina! It was my first visit, and I decided to try it based on my husband's recommendation. I needed a cleaning and had been experiencing jaw pain. I called and got an appointment quickly, thanks to the kind and helpful staff. When I arrived, dental hygienist, Christina greeted me and took me in for X-rays and cleaning. She was incredibly gentle and understanding of my jaw pain. Throughout the cleaning, she constantly checked if I was comfortable and asked me to raise my hand if I felt any pain. She worked efficiently, ensuring that I didn't have to keep my mouth open for too long. The process was quick, thorough, and painless. Afterward, the doctor examined my X-rays and my jaws. He noticed that my teeth weren't aligned, causing pressure on my nerves. Instead of immediately suggesting Invisalign, he recommended treating it with laser but mentioned that I might want to consider Invisalign in the long run since it was the root cause of my pain. Unlike previous dentists, they didn't push Invisalign forcefully. They were understanding and kind, explaining that while they could provide short-term solutions, the pain may return without proper alignment. Overall, my experience at Reflection Dental was fantastic. Christina was exceptional, and the team was considerate and didn't pressure me into any treatment options.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Reflection Dental Little River for years now. Dr. Musmar is great and my dental hygienist Cristina is the best! Never been a fan of going to the dentist but they actually make it a pleasant experience. You can tell the staff actually likes showing up to work and that they take the time to get familiar with their patients. I also love that they do it all as far as any sort of oral surgery or orthodontic treatment. When I first started going there I needed quite a bit of work but now I’m in and out on all my checkups! Fantastic experience: My most recent visit was for a periodic cleaning and check-up. After moving out of the area, I continue to drive 90 minutes, now from NW Virginia, to visit Reflection Little River. I do this solely because of the unparalleled care and respect I receive from both my hygienist, Cristina, and my dentist, Dr Musmar. I have been afraid of dental visits since childhood, but my 15 years or more with this practice has been easy. Cristina shows real kindness and empathy for my irrational fear, while ensuring my dental health is properly attended to. Her reassuring voice during the cleaning and patience to pause whenever necessary, makes me comfortable straight away. Well done Cristina and well done Reflection!

Fantastic experience: The place is so close to the place where I live . Commuting transportation is so easy. They have a respectful and helpful staff. They explained everything before you go for treatment. The price is affordable.

We don't want to go to another dentist because Dr. musmar is the best one for us. Chelly, our hygienist, is also the best. Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at reflection dental, They handled my routine cleaning and xrays. From the moment i walked in, i felt welcomed, the receptionist was very attentive and polite. My dental hygienist mansaz was incredible, very knowledgeable, Friendly and made me comfortable. She communicated and check on my periodically throughout the cleaning. I have been to other practices that are very rough and get you in and out like they are working at jiffy lube. Here that was not the case, she spent plenty of time with me and made sure to do a very thorough cleaning. Mansaz is a local legend in the dental game. The dentist Dr.Hijaz was on point as well, very clear with his recommendations, unparalleled professionalism and overall very friendly. Most people are scared of going to the dentist, for me this was overall a great experience and i highly recommend you stop by for dental services, they treat you like family. Hands down 5 star experience!

Additionally the professional staff were, kind, understanding and provided excellent dental services with a smile! I can't compliment Dr. Musmar enough for his compassionate care. I had recently had a terrible root canal experience. He was honest with me about the course of treatment he would have administered. The decision to extract the tooth was the solution we settled upon. The tooth was out and he was stitching me up before I realized the tooth was out! I didn't feel ANY discomfort periot! If you're looking for this level of care, this is the place to be! I referred my sister, who has scheduled her appointment for this week!
