Fantastic experience: DR Castillo is one of the finest dentist in the RGv as he is competent and honest and compassionate. The office is State of the Art equipped with polite respectful team players. Fantastic experience: UPDATE (see below) I have been going to Tagle & Castillo Cosmetic & Family Dentistry about 2 years now and my experience with them continues to be nothing but excellence. From the sweet ladies at the front desk to the ladies in the back and Dr. Castillo, they are all super professional and the sweetest people. They take very good care of me whether it is just for a cleaning or if it is a dental procedure. I have had some pretty intense work done and have NEVER experienced any pain at all. I highly recommend them for all of your dental needs from parent to child. I went today, Monday, April 21, 2025, for a cleaning and was seen by the hygienist, Julie, and my cleaning was pain free as usual. I will soon be having an extraction, and a permanent bridge placed and believe it or not I am looking forward to it. The entire staff are top notch, and I HIGHLY recommend them for your dental needs!! I went for additional dental work on May 7th and was seen by Dr. Monica Cordova for an extraction to begin work for a bridge and did not experience any pain whatsoever. Today, June 13th, I went in for additional prepping for my bridge. I was very well taken care of during the prep. I must reiterate that EVERYONE in this office are so very professional and nice. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Castillo and Dr. Cordova for your dental care. Thank you, J. Castillo Cosmetic & Family Dentistry for your compassion and kindness!! Well, well, well what can I say? The entire office is amazing. Everyone at the office is super friendly and professional. They make you feel welcome and make you feel special. That is the best thing in the world. I used to dread going to the dentist but after I found this clinic, I don’t mind going anymore because of the way they make me feel and the special treatment that they give is out of this world. I had surgery today with Dr Schwartz and he did an outstanding job putting my implants and Dr Castillo did a superb job for making sure my denture implants were properly fitted. Their team did an amazing job as well and their bed side manners were the best I have ever received as a dental patient. I was amazed how little pain I experienced throughout the whole surgery and they made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. Fantastic experience: My wife and I needed a cleaning and our insurance for this year was getting close to expire. I had been before and am having a crown put on in Jan. My wife was new...The lady on the front desk was wonderful she was able to fit us in on a cancellation within 3 days. My cleaning was thorough. My hygienist kept me informed through every stage, very professional, polite and GOOD. My wife was a little longer than usual as she needed a little more care. She was so taken by here hygienist, level of care, concern, and work. The office is spotless and the dental exam/work rooms are modern, clean and bright. All in all a great experience from first walking in and being greeted by friendly polite staff to the support personnel and and dentist, thank you for caring Doug and Vicki

Fantastic experience: All the staff at Tagle & Castillo are exceptional. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, you are treated with respect and offered wonderful service. Julie is phenomenal and excels in her role. Dr. Cordova and her assistant are vigilante every step of the way and are very caring. It has been a long time since i have received that type of service.

Negative experience: I did not take a moment to review the work done by dentists at Castillo Family Dentistry more than 3 years ago until now due to saying after 3 years I have a “pending” balance with them. I went in for dental work that cost me +$12000 dollars and it was a nightmare. I saw a dentist who told me when I was not satisfied with my work done, that “ it was not his practice, he just worked there”. Then all of a sudden this Dr doesn’t work there anymore so they transfer me to another Dr and they couldn’t give me what was promised by prior dentist. I asked to at least fix the big old gap in teeth below, and there response was , I needed extra work. I then got a crown, which later broke. I was not close by anymore and at this point I said I did not want to go there anymore. The one manager “ who doesn’t work there anymore” told me okay and apologized. Never once said I owe them money for a broken crown. Never did I get a call of care from a dentist who actually cared or anyone whatsoever trying to make it right for me. What I did get- was a new manager saying I owe $320 with a sorry can’t help you- once again! So your balance is paid and once again thank you for reminding me of the work I did not like from 3+ dentists I saw, for the past three years.

Positive experience: The staff is always pleasant. I’ve been a faithful patient here for almost 10 years. My only complaint is my dental cleaning ( private pay) went from $90 to $122! This visit. I think that’s an extreme jump in cost- I was definitely not happy about that. Hoping these services don’t continue to go up. Other than that, I recommend this facility to my friends and family all the time.

Fantastic experience: Last Thursday evening, my partial crown broke off. It was jagged and made eating uncomfortable. The next morning, I called them to see if I could possibly be seen to check it out. They had appointments booked, but said they work me in at 10:30. I didn't have much of a wait, and soon my dentist was explaining that I would need to get a new crown. He filed it down for now and said I could wait until I could schedule the crown and check with my insurance. I really love that they don't push me to get unnecessary work done like some dentists I've been to. I have 2 other crowns over 30 years old, and other dentists wanted me to replace them. I am happy to have a dentist I can trust to let me know what absolutely has to be done. I also had a lot of fear about going to the dentist in the past, but I feel great here, and have no anxiety whatsoever.

Negative experience: I was charged for services I was not asked in advance for. I was also told I had an outstanding balance from a previous visit that I had paid in full. Always a pending charge where insurance did not cover is presented to me each visit! Lack of transparency!

Positive experience: I’m finally done with my Invisalign treatment! My overall experience was not very impressive. My frequent visits for new aligners always felt rushed. This office has gotten very busy for one dentist and visits feel rushed and so impersonal.
