Fantastic experience: I’m someone who usually gets a little nervous about going to the dentist for a variety of reasons, but this office completely changed my experience. From the moment I walked in, the front office staff were so friendly and welcoming. They immediately made me feel comfortable instead of anxious, which is not an easy thing to do when you’re headed to a dental chair. My dental hygienist Maria was amazing. She was gentle, kind, and made the whole cleaning feel easy. She explained things without making me feel judged and kept the atmosphere light so I forgot I was even at the dentist. Dr. Nunez was just as wonderful. Very friendly, patient, and completely non-judgmental. I really appreciate a dentist who talks with you and makes you feel comfortable throughout the visit. I walked in nervous and walked out thinking that was actually a really pleasant dentist visit. Highly recommend this office if you get a little anxious about dental appointments. The whole team truly knows how to make patients feel comfortable and cared for.

Negative experience: I recently had an appointment. It was my FIRST TIME, so mind you.. this was my FIRST IMPRESSION of Dr. Humberto Nunez.. after reviewing my teeth to possibly go back on braces or any other options after 4 years of having my braces removed.. he gave me 2 options “braces or aligners” I mentioned to the dental assistant I wanted traditional because I JUST PREFER THEM & the look of it sooo what! & it was an OPTION! I’m going to be the one paying for them anyway! He told me after knowing I wanted traditional braces .. “you’re not in high school anymore, you’re an adult be for real” “I can tell you’re gonna make this difficult for me” “I can see it in your face” “I’m gonna have to be seeing you every 4 weeks” I’m not one to confront anyone.. the experience was horrid…. They just won’t be seeing me back, ever & I will never recommend these type of comments and criticism to my family or anyone for that matter. Why give 2 options if you have horrible opinions and can’t keep your comments to yourself about an option the client has. I wish I had never gone, idk how anyone can be so rushed and ugly to do their job. $50 of copay spent for a bad experience!

The office and exam rooms are clean and sanitized. All staff use Hand Sanitizer - all instruments are sanitized - I appreciate that ! I even think it is so caring to give their patients sunglasses - to protect their eyes from the exam lights! And I appreciate the Alison to protect me from the x-rays. (I will not be goin go to our previous - very expensive dentist in Minnesota, where the staff there are gossiping about other clients while you are waiting for the dentist !!!) I do not have dental coverage on my insurance and I truly am thankful at the extremely reasonable rates this office charges !! Thank you I will continue to use your services every year ! God bless all the staff there !

These people are efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and MORE THAN WILLING to go the extra mile to help you address your mouth health... Fantastic experience: So impressive in every possible way. Visiting area and chipped my tooth. Presidents day and desperately trying to get in to see a dentist. 21 called layer everyone closed or booked you got me in within an hr and were able to bond it right then and there. Fantastic experience: We went for a routine cleaning and plan of action for my 9 year old daughter who will need some orthodontics, and a cleaning for my 5 year and myself. The cleaning went great as always. Dr. Nunez was thorough and comforting with his solutions. Dr. Villarreal was great with 5 year old who was nervous and scared. She did awesome today with the Westlake team. We had multiple appointments for the family, but they’re always very organized and accommodating. Their financial team is also very helpful and professional. The office is clean and customer service is top notch.

Dr. Castell was amazing, he was very professional and explained the whole process to me. He was very caring and knowledgeable and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Crystal Villarreal. I have a difficult time with dental visits due to past trauma, and instead of feeling supported or reassured, I felt rushed and completely uncomfortable. It felt like my concerns and anxiety didn’t matter at all only her schedule did. The visit was fast, impersonal, and lacked basic compassion. If you or your child struggle with dental anxiety or need a provider who makes you feel safe and heard, I would not recommend coming here. Feeling cared for should be part of healthcare, and unfortunately, that was missing from my experience.

Dr and staff are very nice, they explain as they go. Prices are reasonable, they offer many payment plans if needed. Overall, this place is a great place to get dental cleaning and work done.

Fantastic experience: Went into office on my day off with no appointment. Was greeted by front desk Kayla with a positive attitude and then was attended and helped by management Janie. I registered as a New Patient and the process went smooth. Got my cleaning done smooth and fast. Then was told I needed a crown and thought I would have to come another day but Dr. Villarreal was available to do it the same day. She did an amazing job putting my temporary crown and was always making sure I was comfortable. After she was done she made sure to let me know that it went well and gave great instructions to follow after. Dental assistant Luis took really good care of me and has excellent customer service while also assisting. The process again went fast and smooth. The whole staff was great, friendly with positive vibes all around. Best choice by switching Dentists and would highly recommend it for anyone out there looking. You will not be disappointed!!!

He took the time to explain the best options for me. I am so glad I chose Westlake Dentistry and I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Negative experience: I was told that they accept my insurance. Good thing I double-checked directly with my insurance company before the appointment, because I found out this clinic is actually out of network. They never informed me of this important detail beforehand. This kind of lack of transparency is unacceptable. If I didn’t personally verify it myself, I would have wasted even more of my time and money. Do NOT rely on what they tell you. Check your insurance by yourself because the information here is not reliable.

Negative experience: Feeling a bit ripped off but I'll explain why... A few days ago, my wife's bottom retainer had broke and was causing discomfort and irritability. Prior to scheduling an appointment, we called ahead to ensure retainer restoration / reinstallation could be performed, and was told yes, so we booked. Today, after paying the $95 fee, they bring my wife back just to tell her that is something they cannot help her with. They didn't even want to take the 3 minutes to smooth the bonding agent that is causing irritation. I'm not sure if confirming to have the ability to perform a service, then get paid to perform, to then decline to provide said service, is standard practice, but they sure took money to do nothing. I do not see us ever utilizing Westlake Dental again and recommend that any future patient doesn't either.

The office is clean, modern, and uses the latest tech, but what really stood out was how kind, patient and caring everyone was. The nurse was amazing - so comforting, attentive, and great at easing my nerves. She made the whole experience feel calm and easy. I came in without insurance and found their in-house plans within my budget. Dr. Villarreal took the time to explain my situation clearly, walked me through next steps, and was super patient and caring. What impressed me most was the honesty - they easily could’ve recommended a procedure that wasn’t needed, but instead, they reassured me everything looked good, gave me a special toothpaste to help strengthen my teeth and gums, and even showed me a better way to brush to protect them. Overall, It’s rare to find a dental office that genuinely puts care before profit. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: oh where do i even start, I am deeply deeply so thankful for these amazing people who helped me out with an extremely painful infected cavity. A few days ago I came in there crying from the pain and from being so exhausted and sleep deprived since the pain would keep me up. they saw my situation, and decided to help me out:’) their team is nothing but angels, every single one of them. my dental extraction was so so easy and fast too! i did not feel one thing and even asked after “that was it??” cause of how so easy and fast it went. I’m so beyond greatful that i can finally be pain free after months of living like this:) Thank you Westlake Family Dentistry, you all are god brought angels:)

Fantastic experience: Where can I begin? This place is immaculately clean, the staff greets you the moment you walk in. They are surprisingly ON TIME!! Which is completely unheard of. In the valley.. I’m called back on TIME!! Given a tour of the facility. The atmosphere is welcoming and comforting . I feel so at home, so at ease .. I’m in the right place!!
