Fantastic experience: We love Pediatric Dentistry of Ft. Myers! I have been bringing my children here since they started growing teeth! Dr. Verwest and his team are fantastic with kids and the waiting area is a large space tailored for the kiddos. Ana is especially fabulous at making my girls feel safe and comfortable before, during, and after their visits. I highly recommend this dentist for your child's dental needs.

Negative experience: Be aware, this place has a policy that they closed the building from 12:30 to 1:30pm. I drove from Lehigh Acres, started to rain and I was requested to leave the building with my son and come back at 1:30. Me and other family where literally sitting down on the entrance because started to rain so bad and we didn’t want to get wet from walking to the parking lot at the entrance of the building. Please be more empathetic with people and whether conditions! Some kids like mine have mental disabilities and are scare of the thunders and rain and expose him like that because of your police is not cool! We could easily wait inside without problem sitting on the gaming area.
Fantastic experience: Great experience! Ana, the dental hygienist, was friendly and gentle. Made the cleaning easy and comfortable for my girls. Highly recommend!
Negative experience: They don't honor their own work. They knew the insurance wouldn't cover it again. Insurance company said if they would submit the claims properly, putting in better detail than they would cover it.Office refuses to do that. It's a shame we've been going there for years.

Fantastic experience: My daughters has been coming here for years and I love this dentist. today I got to bring my four-year-old for her first checkup and her nurse Ana was amazing and lianet had a procedure and her nurse carolina was super with her and Dr. Torres saw them and it was great she explained everything and made them feel safe, the same as the nurses they make the kids calm and the kids leave happy after everything.

Fantastic experience: Ana was exceptional with my son today. Service was efficient and quick! And Dr. Verwest was amazing as always.
Negative experience: I gave this clinic a second chance and regret it. If you decide to take your children here, be prepared for an excessive wait time. We showed up 20 minutes before our appointment time and waited almost 2 hours past our appointment time before being called back to the treatment area both times we went. Once the dentist did come in, they didn't brush my child's teeth, apply flouride, or give him a full examination. They were impatient and tried to shove a metal retractor in his mouth which busted his lip open and may have further damaged a chipped tooth. We now have to work through an unnecessarily traumatic experience that will make future trips to more capable dentist clinics more challenging and stressful for all of us. This visit was a waste of time and insurance claims. They still billed insurance so we had to wait 6 months to get an actual preventative dental care visit elsewhere covered by insurance. So while records state otherwise, my child had a gap in dental care visits because of this place. All the positive reviews must be from the inattentive and uncaring parents that dump their kids in the waiting room and go out to their cars. I saw many parents leave their children completely unsupervised and alone as they left the building entirely during our 2 hours wasted in the waiting room.

Negative experience: My son went to the Fort Myers office of Pediatric Dentistry of Florida for 4 years. I was never happy with the service, but I decided to give them a chance. On the last 2 years it has been getting worst. It have been enough for us. We are not coming back. Terrible costumer service, bad dental work, and 1 to 2 hours waiting from appointment time.

Negative experience: Used to be good, but now I don’t like that as a parent I can’t be in back with my kid to ask questions. Feels like a very one-sided conversation. They just play a recording from dentist. The hygienist showing video doesn’t have dentist level answers. I’m just not confident anymore that this is the right place for us. I want a more collaborative approach and ability to ask questions. I know my kid will need jaw and orthodontic work likely soon. I don’t believe I’m being unreasonable.

Fantastic experience: Very professional work to teach children about the care of their teeth, and it was a success! With games, stories and super entertaining dynamics, he managed to capture the attention of the little ones and transmit oral hygiene habits in a clear and fun way. Negative experience: Terrible experience here and will not be going back. Their policy of kids being separated from their parents to “foster independence” is weird to say the least. That’s not your job as a pediatric dental office, it’s to take care of kids teeth. Period. This day and age you’re off your rocker if you think I’m leaving my child unattended with a complete stranger, especially when it comes to medical/dental treatments. I put my foot down and they finally allowed me to be in the room, but the dentist was unnecessarily rough with a tooth extraction, and had condescending attitude toward me, telling me I couldn’t comfort my child while having a tooth yanked, while the dentist was visibly annoyed and aggressive. Yeah…No. Bad vibes all around. Ridiculous “policies” (that you’re not privy to until the day of the appointment) on top of a pompous rude dentist. 0/10 do not recommend. And don’t bother responding to this, I don’t care to hear a saccharine disingenuous “apology” or “explanation”. This practice needs to seriously reevaluate their policies, and start to prioritize the comfort and safety of patients and their families. That is all.

Fantastic experience: This office is very welcoming and kid friendly. My son was going to a different Dentist in the area and that office has nothing on this one. I switched him to Pediatric Dentistry recently because his previous Dentist would always reschedule a week or 2 before his appointment. You give me this appointment in advance just to only cancel and reschedule it when it comes up. I simply was tired of it and decided to switch. I am extremely happy with my decision. Ana is great dental assistant.

Negative experience: What a joke. Won’t be going back. My daughter complained about how rough the hygienist was and I just received my bill estimate. $800 for one kids routine cleaning and $500 for the other? Give me a break. This is with insurance and this place was in-network.

Fantastic experience: Anna the dental technician was very polite, kind and communicative. I LOVE the end of apptmt video and pre scheduled apptmt for 6mths. Very efficient. The waiting room is too hot constantly tho.

Negative experience: My daughter was referred to this office from her pediatrician because of an on going problem. She was seen fast but was charged for services that were not done! When I questioned it I was told that it was done and the woman argued with me and said she could not be seen for a cleaning for 6mo. I’m sorry but that is fraud and this place has totally lost my business along with word of mouth I will not refer anyone I know to go there!

Negative experience: We made an appointment. They had canceled it for no reason. We made another one and arrived 10 minutes late they didn’t want to accept us for that. We came from far away but to this place all that matters is money. They now have lots of clients so it’s ok to send people home for 10 minutes late but we can’t say anything for waiting one hour until the doctor accepts us. So no thank you we won’t be coming again!

Our records show that two of the children were new patients and one had not been seen since 2021. While we were very happy to welcome your family, arriving 24 minutes late unfortunately impacted our ability to stay on schedule and honor the appointment without delaying others who arrived on time. Still, our team made every effort to help by offering to reschedule as early as the next day and beyond.

Fantastic experience: My first time taking my daughter here and it was a great experience. The Dental assistant Ana was amazing! Very polite and welcoming and she made my daughter so comfortable. DR.torres was also amazing .She was great in explaining eveything to me and I felt comfortable with the service I got. The office is also very kids friendly.. lots of toys and activities and my daughter loves it.im happy I chose this place for my daughter's dental care
