Negative experience: I scheduled dental appointments for my children after finding out our previous pediatric dentist was OON with our new insurance. The dental insurance information was given over the phone at the same time I scheduled the appointments. I even had to call a couple days before to change my son’s appointment to a day earlier. Plenty of chances to let us know that my children aren’t listed on the dental insurance but we didn’t get informed of this until we came into the office just now for my son’s appointment!! The front person proceeded to tell me the cash price. Ummm no thanks. Very unprofessional that they didn’t do their job to verify insurance and let us know that my kids weren’t covered under the dental insurance BEFORE we came in for the appointment. Also a big waste of time to fill out their lengthy and redundant new patient paperwork with dental insurance information (had to upload the front and back of card AND manually enter the information in) if they aren’t going to utilize it to verify insurance. Have a bit more respect for other people’s time and practice professionalism if you’re running a dental office/business.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional and disappointing experience. I’ve been dealing with this clinic for months for my daughter, who has special needs and is nonverbal, and she has been suffering from severe tooth pain. They requested paperwork from her doctor and her cardiologist, which I provided. Then they gave us an appointment and charged me $100 upfront even though my daughter has full insurance coverage. I paid just to get the procedure done so she could be out of pain. From the start, I told them her doctor said the procedure should be done in a hospital. They insisted it could be done in their clinic. Then, less than 24 hours before the scheduled procedure, they suddenly called to say it must be done in a hospital—exactly what I had told them from the beginning. After I posted my review, they replied with a polite public apology. But here’s what actually happened behind the scenes: • The staff member who informed me about the cancellation literally hung up on me. • I called multiple times—first I was told I’d get a call back before noon (no one called), then the next day someone finally called me but was extremely rude. • I asked several times to speak to a supervisor or manager, and was always told “they will call you,” but that never happened. • Instead of helping, they told me I had to contact the hospital myself and start the whole process all over again. Meanwhile, my daughter—who has special needs, is nonverbal, and has been on pain medication daily—was left waiting in pain. Their apology doesn’t change the fact that they wasted months of our time, caused my daughter unnecessary suffering, and charged me $100 with no clear refund. Families with children who have special needs deserve better than miscommunication, disrespect, and zero compassion.

Negative experience: 1. They were dishonest in their billing practices. My kids were there every 6 months for the last two years. Last appointment, they asked me to pay an old balance which dated18 months ago. I asked them why you waited until now to told me about this old bill. Maria and Olivia told me that sometimes it takes insurance longer time to pay for their dentists. They told me I can call my dental insurance to find out the charges. If I don't pay now they will cancel my kids appointments and I will have to pay cancelation fees. I asked them to give me a printout of the bill so I read. They said no papers at their office, only email. Then, both of them showed me their unwelcome attitudes like we there beg them for free dental services. But they forgot that because of our business that why they have their jobs. So, Maria and Olivia, please learned to look at your customers when you speak to them, not looking in your PC while talking. Hope the owners know that there are so many dentists in Orange County to choose from.

Negative experience: This is the worst dentist you could get, they have no patience don’t want to treat kids they have inappropriate tools for small kids they just push for general anesthesia. all they care about is money. Go somewhere else !!

Staff listens annd the dentist is always so kind and gentle and even for our little one who is extra sensitive, their approach is kind and gentle. Fantastic experience: Today, my son visited Lollipop Dental Clinic, and the customer service was excellent. The front desk staff, Yarely and Haley, were friendly and helpful. Negative experience: Made 2 appointments. Was told they will see children on the spectrum. I came in, then my child was denied a visit and told her needed a note from his primary doctor. When I made the appointment over the phone, advised her of my child's medical issues, she never once said I would need a note from his primary doctor.... which at that point I could have gotten for this appointment! BS

From the second you walk in the front desk is helpful and informative Haley and Esperanza took care of everything we needed with a smile! Negative experience: Brought my daughter in for her appointment on 4/7/2025 - COSTA MESA location and had a terrible experience. I’m guessing the girl who cleaned my daughters teeth is new because she barely cleaned them and I had to ask for specific things to be done that are included in your routine clean up to be done which she didn’t completely do & let’s not forget not knowing what tool to use on her teeth. She had to call backup to ask which tools she should be using! Then when checking out they tell me that I have to make an appointment for my daughter’s medications? What medications? None of this was talked about and we came home with $160 less and a dirty mouth. I’ve tried calling and they take my message and say they’ll get back to me which they have not. Don’t waste your money. I should have gone to Tiny Tooth. If you’re reading this review, look elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: Adeline had a filling appointment today and she was very nervous but Gina was able to make her feel at ease.
