Fantastic experience: Continued great experience with SVPDO. My 3 daughters are there for general dentistry and my oldest just received her braces. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. After a terrible experience with another dentist office, my kids have no fears with going to the dentist office, and even try to make it a point to wear their shirts to get an extra coin!

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with the service here. I called to confirm whether our new insurance was accepted, and the front desk told me I would get a call back the next business day. No one called. I waited three business days and called again. This time they promised a callback that same day. Again — nothing. Then it got worse. A couple of days later, I called once more, and the phone was picked up and immediately hung up twice. No explanation, no follow-up, nothing. At this point it’s hard to believe this was accidental. For a children’s dental clinic, this level of communication and customer service is unacceptable. Parents shouldn’t have to chase down basic information or deal with phones being hung up. If this is how they handle something as simple as an insurance check, I can’t imagine trusting them with my child’s care. Extremely disappointing. They seriously need to fix their communication and professionalism.

Negative experience: The doctors are good but the rating is for their billing. In my last fillings visit, they tried charging me extra and i had to really explain to them that they were charging me extra. Then my son had a filling and after a couple of days his teeth started hurting. So i took him to the office again to check if he had a bite issue. WITHOUT MY CONSENT, they filed a claim for it as an exam though typically other dentists don't charge for it if you had just had a filling and they do it out of courtesy. Our insurance plan covers THREE cleanings a year, but now since they filed one claim without my consent, my son cant get his third cleaning done. I asked if he could just get only cleaning done because he is prone to cavities, they say NO. This situation is very frustrating.

Positive experience: The bathrooms were out of order. I brought my 4 year old kids straight from school and when they gotta go, they gotta go. For this reason, I have a portable potty in my car so we rushed out to the car. When we returned I asked the receptionist how long it’s been broken and if it will be fixed soon. One of the girls said that they had just broken down. I asked if they would have to close if they can’t fix the bathrooms quickly. The receptionist said “we won’t close”. So I said what are they going to do if a child comes in and can’t hold it? I suggested maybe they should call the patients guardians that have appts to give them a heads up. Not everyone has a potty on the go! She responded: “I’ll take your payment when you’re ready”. I wasn’t trying to be rude, I was just concerned because I don’t think it’s ok to have broken bathrooms with no solution to offer your patients, especially kids.

Negative experience: I am not so thrilled about comment Dr Scott said to me. He said I didn't follow their recommendations because of money. I don’t have to follow all their recommendations for son. Ot is our parent right to educate ourselves and choose whatever good for our kids. He mentioned twice with crazy smirky laughter. I don’t know where his bedside manner is. Sad to see this kind of manner in this clinic.

Positive experience: My children have been patient’s seen in office since about 6 months old. They are now 4 and 5 1/2 years old. They are not afraid to be seen by the practitioner/dentist. The dentist are young and friendly to pediatric patients and staff. Appears to be a very positive working environment. The equipment is caterer/geared towards pediatric dentist patients, which is a fun concept that makes dental health fun and less intimidating. The facility is clean and full of activities for the peds patients to use while waiting to be seen. There are lots of patients and work stations. My children and I have always encountered an extremely nice professional dentist that understands the needs of the pediatric dentist patients of all ages. The children have the option of a movie while in the dentist chair and free play in the lobby or outside. Check-in is great, fast and I appreciate the acknowledgement of my family.. The only issue I have is the long wait times between dentists and patients. It seems as though the dentist is always behind seeing patients and it can become disruptive for the other young patients waiting. I completely understand, time gets away and everyone is extremely busy. But this has happened several times. Staff is great and professional and friendly.

Negative experience: Three regular visits already maxed out the $2,000 insurance limit for my child. A single cleaning costs over $500, even though it only takes about 10 minutes. While the toys and play area for kids are nice, I believe the focus should be on providing high-quality dental care at reasonable costs. For a family-focused practice, treatment quality and affordability matter much more than extra frills.

The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. He's already had two major dental procedures done and each time they went smoothly.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place for little kids, staff and NP and doctor are all friendly and great with kids, my 2-yr old was so surprisingly cooperative during his first visit (so much better than when we brush his teeth at home!), and he got a cute dino toy as a reward, and there is even a capsule machine on the way out where kiddos can use a toy coin (also from the staff!) to get a small gift, my son got a small blue car toy which now becomes his favorite. I have and will recommend them to all people I know with young kids!

Fantastic experience: This place makes going to the dentist fun for the kids. Doctors, hygienist and all the staff are amazing. What more can you ask for!

Negative experience: Be careful as they overcharge you all the time!!! I've been a patient in here since 2023, and previously they always charge me a small amount of money (e.g. $50) for cleaning, I didn't pay attention until they charge me $250 for a cavity filling. I requested the EOB and its showing my patient responsibility is only $100. They're not replying to my emails now. Stay away from them, and request EOB every time!!!

Fantastic experience: My kids have been with this dentistry for 5 years and counting. It is always a pleasant experience, always organized, and transparent. We love all the staff and I don’t see us ever leaving until my kids are 18 and on their own!

Negative experience: We’ve been a patient for couple years however have been very disappointed lately. Scheduling appointments has become quite a frustrating and time-consuming process — available appointment slots are scarce or inconveniently far out, even if we book months ahead. Except regular cleaning, the quality of care was equally concerning. My child received braces here, which broke within about a week. When we reached out for repair, response was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the issue, the office gave us the runaround and showed little urgency in resolving the problem. Before we sign the contract, I was told “we can always fit you in for repair”. They showed little care to our situation that this new brave set had 3 brackets fell in about a week, wire got loose and hurt the gum almost everyday. When I finally got a appt for repair, the doc told me that the initial set was not installed properly that it broke so quickly. The also refused to provide necessary documentation for service termination, the lady in the office refused to give me paper copy of the statement, nor they send electric copy as promised. We just started the brace and was told they can only refund us ~2k while we paid ~8k. I would strongly advise other parents to look elsewhere for reliable, responsive, and competent dental care for their children.

Negative experience: This was the worst experience we have ever had, they scheduled an appointment with a very limited timeframe. My child needed a few moments to calm down, but the staff was impatient. The most upsetting part was when they began administering the laughing gas. Just as my child started to inhale it, the doctor announced that there was no longer time to complete the procedure. Why would you start administering a sedative if you already know you're out of time? Their schedule is clearly too tight, and it felt as though they value money over their young patients' health. I do not recommend this practice at all

Fantastic experience: Our daughter is about to turn 2 and her 1st time at the dentist and they made her feel so comfortable! They had her name along with other new patients. There was an indoor and outdoor play waiting area. They gave her toys and stickers and given a token for additional prize as we were leaving. Would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Unexpected charges come up way too often here. While we're there, everything seems square but then there's a bogus charge upon the next visit. Reception seems to just go down a vague list of reasons why, blaming insurance first. When it was pointed out it couldn't be insurance, they moved on to blaming the doctor. There are many customers with similar issues across yelp and google. I encourage everyone who goes here to be crystal clear with reception the day of your appointment and question any charges that seem off. The dental work itself is good, but the dishonesty when it comes to the bill is a huge red flag.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love this office. Staff is nice and friendly. Dentists are great. We travel all the way from Morgan Hill and it’s well worth it after my daughter was traumatized by a local dentist in town.

They were incredibly patient and have such a natural way with kids. My son felt comfortable right away, and what I thought would be a stressful appointment turned into a positive experience for both of us. Highly recommend this practice for any parent looking for a pediatric dentist who truly understands children!

Fantastic experience: We discovered this wonderful practice after a bad experience somewhere else. My kids have gone for both regular check ups, and more involved treatments like crowns which required anesthesia. The front office staff have always been polite and explain treatment plans/costs clearly. The hygienists and doctors really strive to make our kids feel comfortable throughout the appointment. My girls always look forward to getting stickers and getting a coin to choose a prize. We will continue to come for future treatment (braces etc). I’d highly recommend to try them out and give them a chance.

Fantastic experience: My daughter went for a routine checkup and cleaning and had a wonderful experience. The professionals at this Dental clinic really know how to handle children. I was surprised to see how many things she receive in her goodie bag including a conmmerative picture of her first visit.

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old has been coming here for over a year now and she actually looks forward to going. She has seen a few different dentists but each one has been so good with her and have a fun way with children so they feel comfortable. They gave her stickers, and at the end a coin for the prize machines which she really looks forward to and gives her incentive. They have a cute play area while waiting too and some iPad games. I highly recommend them, they’re the best!

Fantastic experience: We have been going to this office ever since my kids had their first cleanings. All of the staff are kind, patient and know how to work both with little kids, their fears, as well as with the parents. They never try to push procedures kids don't need, or braces until they are truly essential. The doctors have a gift and know how to calm the kids, even when they need to get dental procedures done. I cannot recommend them enough and feel very lucky they were our first experience for pediatric dentistry.

Negative experience: very poor service. they cancelled the appointment 50 min before my appointment time and asked me to reschedule, the reschedule time they provided is >6months away. The front desk is very rude, basically what they told me is that : take it or not, no other options. to add on that, their policy says they will charge you if you cancel within 48hr before the appointment. update: The team has time to reply google reviews within 2hr after i posted, but they don't make the effort to call to reschedule, as promised me they will reach out to find a time for me.

Negative experience: We have an appointment at 10:30am, they called me 9:23am to cancel the appointment, and the only rescheduling option they can provide is 7 MONTH later. ABSOLUTELY MOST HORRIBLE DENTAL CLINICAL EVER!

Negative experience: Can I give negative stars? I had a truly awful experience at Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentist and feel compelled to share so other parents know what to expect and so no one brings there children here. From start to finish, the visit was frustrating and disappointing. First, the staff informed me that only one parent could accompany three children, which is already difficult. But what made it worse was witnessing staff members' families bringing multiple guests for just one child. It felt incredibly unfair and unprofessional. Then came the issue of X-rays. My 4-year-old was told she needed a second set within six months, without any clear explanation as to why. After her first set, we were told she wouldn't even be treated due to her age--so why subject her to more radiation? Scheduling was another major problem. My school-aged child was only allowed to book morning appointments, forcing her to miss school. When I asked about afternoon options, I was told the office doesn't book kids younger then 6 later in the day because they might "misbehave." As someone who works in a medical office, I know flexibility is possible, especially when it doesn't involve safety risks. This felt like a lazy and inconsiderate policy. And unfortunately, the worst part was dealing with Annabelle, who claimed to be the manager. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Her attitude made an already stressful situation much worse, and not once did she show concern for how we were being treated. The owner of the office then called me after an email was sent and the owner did not seem to know how to address any of this. We will never be returning. I've never felt so disrespected at a healthcare office, especially one meant for children. Not to mention so many dumb policies I hope management takes a hard look at how families are being treated here.

Fantastic experience: We lived in Santa Clara for 4.5 years then moved to San Jose. It’s an easy choice to keep going here! We see friends almost every time we go for a cleaning. Dr Scotty was awesome with my 6 year old. Best kids dentistry around!

Positive experience: They seemed good enough the first 2 visits, but now they are not warm and friendly. Seems very much like a machine. And they're quite expensive. I'd go with a smaller, warmer practice if you're looking for a long term dentist who will remember your child.

Negative experience: This review is based on our personal experience with this clinic. If there was an option, I would have given a 0-star rating, but unfortunately, that option isn't available. We’ve been taking our child to this office for the past few years regularly visiting for cleanings and typically seeing Mr. Raj. However, we had a terrible experience with Dr.Scott Ngai during a procedure on my 3-year-old daughter. During the procedure, he removed a tooth that was not part of the original plan. The response we received after the procedure was not only unconvincing but also rude. This experience has left us feeling extremely disappointed and distrustful of the care provided here

Fantastic experience: We've been taking our daughter for the past 3 years and are quite happy with the place. The staff is pleasant, facilities clean and the doctors good. I would recommend the place to everyone living in the vicinity!

Fantastic experience: First time for both of my girls and they loved it. They both got their cleaning with Yailin who was amazing. My oldest instantly felt comfortable and allowed her to do the cleaning. My youngest got scared and refused at first but Yailin was patient and gave her space without insisting too much. After a few minutes we tried again and she agreed to do the cleaning. I am pleased with the service and look forward to many more cleanings.

Fantastic experience: Daughter 3yrs old felt very comfortable getting a thorough cleaning and polish. They had Moana playing and gave her some sunglasses to protect from light, Evelyn was very friendly and was able to get cooperation from my child very easily. Husband had many questions answered satisfactorily. My daughter loves the coin at the end that she can redeem for a prize! Love this place and glad our doctor recommended to us!

Negative experience: My kid had filling here and cannot floss because the filling fills the gap between teeth. This is the second appointment on filling another three teeth but turned out only two are filled, leaving the third one for extra appointment with no reason given ( meaning another anesthesia bill huh). At the end the front desk charged me thing I haven’t done, indicating the messy communication among staff or intentional discharge, either one is not acceptable.

Positive experience: It was an okay place. The first dentist we worked with rarely showed any emotions when working on my kid. Then one time they changed our dentist without telling me so we were very confused why we had a different dentist (understand the emergencies happen; but at least they could've told us during check-in in the front, or when the DA greeted us). We had another different dentist on the following visit due to our original one going on leave and the new one was cold. The play area is bare bone (I know we are not going to a playground so it was okay to me). We eventually stopped going since my kid never liked it there.

Fantastic experience: This is our second time visiting the dentist and this time around our experience exceeded our expectations. Definitely much better than the first time. The doctor that saw my son this time around was very efficient and kid friendly. Definitely looking forward to our next visit with her.

Negative experience: Booked for Dr name Nancy showed up and it was another unknown Dr. Never met her or book for her and was not informed even though they have called and bothered me 6 times to remind me that there was an appointment scheduled. Unpleasant experience every time we go here. Front desk was not pleasant. Dr also rushed through the exam and didn’t even walk through the ex-ray. Sloppy and not thorough. Would give negative star if I could. Do not go here if you can find another place for your kids.

Great doctors, caring nurses who sing ABC songs during cleanings, attentive staff overall, short waiting times, a nice little outdoor play area, and a toy for each kid at the end of the visit. We recommend this place to everyone looking for a dentist for their kids.

Fantastic experience: We took our 17-month-old to Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry for his very first dental visit, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. The dentist was AMAZING with our little one—so patient and gentle, which made the whole process stress-free. The office also has a cute outdoor playground, which was a great touch to keep kids entertained. To top it off, they gave us a photo of our little one during his visit—a sweet keepsake! I’m so glad we chose this office for his dental care. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Evelyn was kind and patient with my antsy, curious and jokester 5 year old. I had concerns regarding some staining on 2 of his bottom teeth and she did a thorough cleaning to help remove the stains. Dr. Adrienne was personable and efficient. She answered both my son and I questions and provided great follow up care advice. All of our experiences at Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry have been positive and this visit presented nothing less.

Fantastic experience: Love the new location. (It’s been at least 3 years now). It’s laid out well and everything runs very smoothly. We have been going to see Dr. Scotty for about 10 years now. The boys don’t worry at all about visiting a dentist.

Negative experience: Not satisfied with the service at the clinic. This was our first visit to this clinic. The teeth cleaning staff was fresher and no senior was there to keep any eye on her work. For imaging she was not able to keep clip on the molar teeth for two times, then she took and complete xray from other machine without explaining what it happening. Then finally doctor came and doc was in hurry to complete the visit. Not got the treatment and service expected for first time kids.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Adrian and her assistant Paloma. The quality of care they provided to my son was absolutely top tier! They made him feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire visit, which really put my mind at rest as well. Front desk coordinators were also very welcoming. Fantastic experience: Great pediatric dentist office with the patience to deal with my frightened child. Even though the child cries and yells they want to leave the dentist office, the dentist was able to calmly explain what they were going to do and coax the child into sitting in the dentist chair. The appointment tasks were successfully completed and the child left smiling. :)

Fantastic experience: Had a consult for a frenectomy procedure for my newborn daughter. Dr. Adrian was very candid, thorough, and helpful in trying to figure out if this procedure is worthwhile and needed for my baby. Would have preferred if both parents could have been present for the appointment, but I understand there is limited room in the exam rooms. Overall very positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Also a great experience here. We got in early at 2:05 for a 2:20 appointment and got in 5 mins after we signed in. The hygienist was super kind with my 6yr old daughter. They did x-rays and it was quick and the cleaning was through and quick as well. When the dentist came in she answered questions and was great with my daughter. Love this place and how easy it is.

Negative experience: I’m writing this review based on my personal experiences. We’ve been with this office for many years, regularly visiting for cleanings twice a year and X-rays annually. Initially, things were fine, and we usually saw Dr. Raj. Unfortunately, the office has steadily declined in quality. Scheduling an appointment is now almost impossible, which is frustrating. Recently, my daughter had four sealants placed by a hygienist, but shockingly, three fell off within just three hours! This speaks volumes about the quality of their work. Even worse, during my son’s last check-up in August, Dr. Raj didn’t mention anything about a cavity. Now, I can clearly see a large cavity that could’ve been caught earlier. Another doctor reviewed his April X-ray and said it should’ve been addressed back then. Because of this negligence and carelessness, my son now has to endure a painful procedure that could have been avoided. I’m deeply disappointed in the declining service and lack of care. This office needs serious improvements in both professionalism and quality of care.

Positive experience: This rating only reflects interaction at front desk. I never feel confident the front desk staff charge us properly. This is the 2nd time I was charged for a normal routine check-up for my child despite having double insurance. The only reason they caught the mistake was because I asked for a receipt. Upon double checking the staff then realize they should not have charged me at all.

Fantastic experience: We recently changed dental offices from Willow Glen because of our insurance coverage. I am so satisfied with our two experiences at SVPD! The front desk team, Maria was diligent with coverage information and pre-check-in calls to us. The back office asst was warm, knowledgeable and took cleanliness as a priority. Our two different Doctors we met (Adrienne and Raj) were excellent with bedside manner and mindful of being prompt with the appointment as my three and one-year-old have short time spans when we wait in offices. My one recommendation to look into is regarding the new patient forms online. Initially I completed forms online when I made the appointment online. Unfortunately I had a link texted to me a few days later and had to complete similar forms for the second time. The redundancy was a slight inconvenience but the service and experience compensated for it! Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: This was our first time seeing a dentist for our lil one. My friend knows Dr Ngai well as they grew up together but he wasn't available so we met with Dr. Adrienne nguyen instead. Dr Nguyen and the entire staff made my wife/I very comfortable but most importantly, did the same for our little one. He never felt anxious or showed signs of that, and I attribute this to the practice (decor/setup/etc), staff (front desk and others were so nice to him), and Dr nguyen. We will go here again when we have another child

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going to Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics for the past several years and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They took the time to greet us warmly and created a calm, inviting environment. My daughter was really scared about getting her teeth cleaned, but they were so attentive to her fears and made sure to address them right away. The hygienist and dentist went out of their way to explain each step in a gentle, reassuring manner, which helped ease her anxiety. They even let her hold some of the tools and ask questions, making the experience interactive and fun. By the end of the visit, my daughter was much more relaxed and even proud of herself for getting through it. She also gets excited to get a coin at the end of her appointment to get a toy from the toy vending machine. The care and attention to detail really stood out, and I’m so grateful they made what could have been a stressful situation such a positive one. I highly recommend this office to any parents looking for a compassionate and child-friendly dental experience!

Fantastic experience: They’re pretty awesome, I enjoy going to them more than my own dentist for sure! They talk through everything with my toddler so she isn’t scared. They have a small play area, kid friendly decals on the wall, and tv screens on the ceiling, and prizes after the checkup. They make visits exciting!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Elizabeth Ng and the staff are nice and patient. They carefully clean my 3-year-old son's teeth and answer all my questions every time. After the first two visits, my son knows that he will be treated gently, and he cooperates very well now. Besides, my son likes the stickers he receives after the exam very much.

Fantastic experience: This dental office and team is a wonderful place for kids! They have TVs on ceilings, toys in the waiting room, and prizes at the end of the visit — everything you need to help you child feel comfortable and excited about going to the dentist. Plus the actual dental care we have received is gentle, patient, and encouraging for our two young kids who were anxious/scared about going.

Negative experience: My daughter’s right lip got swollen after the treatment. The dentist assumed that she bite her own lip. To me it looks a little more than normal when someone bites her/his own lip. I think it must be something during the treatment and I didn’t get the right root cause. It is just a little lack of care when I heard that from the dental office about the assumption. Also she had the dent mark from the air hose (not sure if it is the right term but something they put on her nose) during the treatment and she said it hurted her.

Positive experience: The dentists at Silicon Valley pediatric dentistry are good and the facility is clean. Their communication and administrative personnel are lacking. Their prices are way too high for the service they provide, charging hundreds of dollars after insurance as they only have one insurance they take in-network. I will be looking to go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing! Our previous dentist was terrible. I was nervous to go somewhere new but we were blown away here. Before even entering the building they had a welcome sign for new patients written on the window where they write the names of any new patients and when my daughter saw her name there she was all excited. She is really nervous when it comes to going to the dentist, at past places there was always tears, so to see her walking in smiling made me so happy for her. Everyone at reception was so kind. Even with masks on I felt like you could see their smiles and they were all so nice. The cleaning went great and the dental assistant was patient and explained everything she was doing while she did it. The rooms and walls are all decorated so cute and welcoming for kids. The dentist came in after and was also so kind and sweet and explained everything so nicely and took her time with us. My kids have never been excited about the dentist and today that all changed. Thank you all for welcoming us with open arms and we can’t wait to continue going here. 10/10 service and experience. Sara Gaspar

Positive experience: The first visit was so much better than the second visit, which is today. I felt the cleaning procedure was hurried, and the assistants didn’t try to ease my girls' nervousness. When we booked the next appointment, I didn’t have time to consider it, and the lady left. We also wait for the doctor about 20 to 30 minutes. She is friendly and professional, but If the first visit was 10 out of 10, today is 5 out of 10. Plus, it’s out of network, so I don't know if we should go back...

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience bringing my son here. He is 13 and very tall, so he doesn't look like he fits in a Pediatric dentist office. My son was very nervous and he needs lots of help improving his dental hygienge. The previous dentist have given up on him but Dr. Raj and Danielle did not. They were patient with him and explain to him what needs to be done for his future appointment. I can't express how much I appreciate them.

Fantastic experience: It was my daughter's first visit at 15 months and it was great! Super friendly and clean facility. It was a fairly quick check up with a cleaning, flossing, and some goodies! The DR was very gentle and even sang for my daughter to ease the nerves :)
