Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Caitlin Dental after seeing the same dentist for 22 years, and I couldn’t be happier! Jenny made scheduling easy and explained all the paperwork ahead of time. Once I arrived I was warmly welcomed and checked in quickly. Dr. Watson was friendly, thorough, and explained everything clearly. My hygienist, Patricia, was gentle, reassuring, and walked me through each step which really eased my nerves. The office is spotless, and every room has a beautiful view of a garden creating a very calming atmosphere. I left feeling valued and appreciated this is truly a great dental practice!

Fantastic experience: The front desk person Kathleen was friendly and checked me in. My wait was short to be seen by Linda the Hygienist. She was both friendly and professional. He let me know how I was doing on my home care, which was good. She did her job quickly and throughly. I was able to set up appointment in the future with her. Checking out was fast and everyone wish me a great day and goodbye till next time. They treated me very nicely like I was one of the family.

Fantastic experience: Quick and quality, just had a crown put on. From start to finish was about 2 hours. Thats it, I dont have to go back as they made the crown on site. If you aren't familiar, most places have you come in, grind the tooth down, take a mold of the tooth, make a temporary, that does not always stay on. If it falls off, you need to have them put it back on. Might even have to make a new temporary because the other one went down your hatch ( throat ). Then they send the mold of the tooth to a lab where they make it. Then a couple weeks later you have to go in and they take the temp off and start the process of putting the lab made crown on. They seem to not always fit so it needs to be ground and ground and you get the point. Then they finally put the lab crown on and hopefully you are finally done. 2 hours and I have my permanent crown on. They were all friendly and proficient at their jobs. I have crowns on almost every tooth. I didnt need to, but I now have straight white teeth. Also, the price is the same if not a little less. No pain either. They are busy which is a good thing, it means they do good work in my mind. However, they were asked just yesterday if they could look at my tooth that broke. I was not even a patient yesterday. Now about 24 hours after explaining my situation and I am sitting here with my permanent crown on. They squeezed me in as it was important. They made this the easiest dental issue I have ever delt with, despite it being a fairly serious one, a broken tooth. I dont usually do reviews, I had to this. time as it is well deserved

I didn’t catch the names of the ladies up front, but they were all great as well. It was refreshing to be treated like a human being by a medical office/ team.. They were honestly the nicest human beings. Sincerely, thank you for being so kind and considerate. I’ll be back.

Fantastic experience: My friend referred me to this office and I’m so glad she did! We moved here full time a year or so ago and I hated to leave my dentist up north. Fortunately, I found this office and they are wonderful! I highly recommend this great office!

Negative experience: Yesterday I had an appointment for a cracked molar. I was received and an assistant performed an X-ray. The side wall had a circle crack but also showed a shaded grey area. Soon after and without a physical tooth exam or probing, I was immediately told by Dr Watson (when she looked at the image) that she recommended a crown and core build-up. Dr Watson explained her reasoning to me and soon after I was given a treatment plan totaling over $2,400. I took my time to think and look at the details. I was simply shocked. I decided to tell them I would not be moving forward. They offered me to at least shave and get the molar prep for later crowning which I declined. I was billed for the visit and x-ray. Soon after called them and requested my x-ray and proceeded to call other dentist closer to home. I consulted AI on the x-ray and it picked up that I didn’t need a crown. This was later confirmed by a dentist who saw me later and prodded to tell me it was a cavity that had caused the wall decay and it was primed for repair and bonding. The process was done for $295 and $85 for the visit. Im simply shocked at what transpired and my advice to people going to this office, GET A SECOND OPINION. The practice that was done was simply unacceptable. I should actually request a full refund but this is beyond money is a travesty. Some of these dentists like to pray on people and push procedures that are simply not necessary. My recommendation if you are given a treatment plan is to get a second opinion. If possible avoid this place. I truly hope this office takes my review seriously and ends this practice. Be more ethical and treat your patients fairly. You don’t know what people are going through in their lives. I had the money to pay cash but the bill was so outrageous that it made me stop and think. I understand that people have salaries, equipment expenses and rent but to push to shave a tooth down to pulp for crown when a good portion of it is healthy no bone issue or root issue was not right.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility, and a beautiful place. I had a wonderful experience at my dental appointment. I can truly say I have not seen another dental practice that is run so efficiently with friendly people; who make you feel so welcome. Not to mention, they have state of the art equipment that moves your appointment along very smoothly and proficiently. I highly recommend each of the Dentists. Best decision you will make for your important ongoing dental health.

Fantastic experience: Linda is the best hygienist. I've been going to her for over 20 years. She's caring, professional and she does a great job cleaning my teeth, especially around my permanent retainers. All of the dentists are very knowledgeable and personable. Very courteous staff. Extremely clean office and nice large windows to look out and see the birds and wild life while sitting in the dentist chair. Excellent office. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: i've had way too many terrible experiences with dentists in the fort myers area since moving here but catlin dental has been phenomenal!! i was seen by dr. watson and hygienist patricia most recently, and they were both so sweet and well read. the gardens around the office are stunning and the view honestly does help with the anxiety of a dentist appointment haha. h2p!!!!

Negative experience: Not surprised my review was edited so I changed it back. I will not be returning after the botched recommendation to an oral surgeon in town.

Fantastic experience: I have been a proud and grateful patient of Dr. Melissa Matick and Catlin Dental Group since 2013. Every single staff member from doctors, hygienists, assistants, and receptionists are kind, caring, and welcoming. They ALWAYS put the patient first. If you have an issue, they fit you right in! Dr. Matick always goes above and beyond to address my dental needs and solve any potential problems. There’s no one else I trust more! I am beyond thankful to have called Dr. Matick my dental hygienist and even more thankful to now call her my dentist! She is absolutely better than the best!

Fantastic experience: I have had terrible luck trying to find a good dental practice in the Cape and Ft. Myers, until I tried the Catlin Dental Group. I was made to feel valued and appreciated as a new patient which was a refreshing change from the other offices in the area. Although I don't love going to the dentist (who does, really?), I think I found the proverbial needle in the haystack!

Facilities were modern and extremely clean. I work long hours, so it’s hard to schedule appointments. Fantastic experience: Last night I was biting my nail and I chipped my bottom tooth. With it being a front tooth and me having dentist anxiety, I was pretty stressed about it all night and morning! My regular dentist couldn't see me until next week, so a friend referred me here. They got me in within 30 mins of calling, and it was a very fast and pleasant experience! No one made me feel silly for being terrified of the dentist at almost 40 years old. And I even asked the doctor for an ice pack (it helps with anxiety) and they gave me one! Everything was explained to me, and the fix was quick and easy. I will say it was pricey -- $500 for the visit/front xray and bonding of the tooth. I won't give less stars for that because these days its not affordable to breathe. You get what you pay for, and cheaper isn't always equivalent to the same work or experience. Grateful for Dr. Matick!

Fantastic experience: I went to dental school with Dr. Matick, and when I found myself in Florida on vacation with a broken filling, she was my first choice to ask to repair it. As a fellow clinician, it is obvious to me how skilled of a provider Dr. Matick is. From the painless numbing, gentleness while working on me, and attention to detail with the finished product, I knew I was in great hands. She even went above and beyond and took the time to find and fill another small cavity I had (I know, I know, dentists get cavities too ). I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate and talented dentist. Plus, what a beautiful office- I’ve never had a better view during dental work before!
