Fantastic experience: I’m not sure getting a cavity filled can ever truly be an excellent experience, but my recent visit was as close to excellent as cavities allow. The atmosphere, especially the staff’s approach, is like something I’ve never experienced in a medical or dental setting before. Every detail is calculated set you at ease so you can get the dental work you need with a minimum of anxiety and discomfort. I’ve recommended it to friends in real life and now here online too.

Fantastic experience: I truly didn’t know dental offices like this existed. From start to finish, every part of my experience was centered around my comfort and care. The team took the time to talk with me about my worries and past dental experiences, which made such a difference in easing my nerves. The front desk was also incredibly helpful - they walked me through exactly what to expect with my insurance and payments, which I really appreciated. The office itself is designed with patient comfort in mind. They offer beverages, in-room entertainment with noise canceling headphones (which I used and loved), blankets and neck pillows, and even nitrous oxide and massage chairs for those who want extra help relaxing. My dental hygienist was exceptionally kind and attentive. She listened to my fears, validated them, explained every step of what she was doing, and never made me feel rushed. Dr. G was equally wonderful. She answered all my questions thoroughly and made sure I was fully taken care of when referring me to a specialist, ensuring they had the right images and context for my visit. I’m still nervous about dental work, but this experience made me feel like I’m finally in good hands. I can’t recommend this office highly enough for anyone who struggles with dental anxiety or just wants to feel genuinely cared for.

Fantastic experience: Honest, fun dentist office. Free drinks of all sorts (coffee, water, tea, alcohol) when you arrive, free laughing gas during appointment ($35 mask). Sensory experience, massage chairs, blanket on you, scented neck pillow, sunglasses so dental light doesn't blind you, and hbo on the tv on the ceiling with headphones so you can hear. A very comfortable dental experience. The folks at the front desk are kind, welcoming, and efficient. And most importantly, Dr. G knows her stuff. Honest, competent dentist with the latest technology to make it a clear and worthwhile appointment. She works fast and gently, kindly answering any questions. Finally, they are flexible with payments and insurance options.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sunee Salpetch is great. She is skilled, knowledgeable and explains things well. I never feel like she is pushing unnecessary work. Even when dental work is going longer than expected (recently perfecting the bite alignment after a crown), she never feels rushed and takes her time to do the work right. The whole office is lovely and always makes me feel at ease. Side note, the office is right next to the Potomac River and when possible I enjoy taking a walk along the river after my appointments.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a Dental Bar patient for about 4 years now after a friend recommended it. They have 5-stars for a reason. Apart from the excellent and honest dental care I’ve received from Dr. G and all the hygienists I’ve seen, the front desk staff and management are top-notch. Great office staff and ownership at a medical or dental office seems rare these days so it’s always refreshing to be greeted and treated by friendly and respectful professionals. Eddie, the owner, promptly assisted me with a refund after we mistakenly renewed our membership just before our new insurance policy became active. Regarding reviews that have mentioned pushing extras and cosmetic treatment, I personally haven’t felt this way at all. To me, it comes down to good marketing and branding. Dental Bar just knows how to do it and in my experience they do it with the transparency I’d expect from a high-end yet fairly-priced dental office. It’s a great place. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: The office is really nice and I did like the doctors and office staff. However, they push you hard for their Invisalign service as well as other treatments that just seem unnecessary. They always seem to be trying to upsell you on something not covered by your insurance. I guess they need to pay for their fancy office somehow. After several visits of them pushing hard that I have to have this done, I finally gave in and signed up for a treatment in December 2023. The treatment was completed in June of 2024. I made the final payment for the treatment in December of 2024. In March of 2025 I received a bill from them for an additional $511. I found this odd since I had completed my payment plan and the treatment months earlier. I later found out that because I had changed insurances in January of 2025, my previous insurance stopped paying them for the treatment. It was never communicated that I would need to have the same insurance over a year after starting the treatment. I never would have signed up for the treatment had I known this as I knew I might change jobs within the year and therefore insurance. As much as I liked the office, staff, and dentist, this place really feels more like a business that is just trying to sell you things and isn’t up front about about the fees than a dentist whose top priority is your dental health. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Genieva's office is very modern and clean. It is a pleasure to be there. We came in for cleanings as a family and Dental bar has a kids' play room while they wait, which made the whole experience easier. Our children are very young and are usually afraid of the dentist but Dr. Genieva did a great job of coaxing them into the dental chair. They are now looking forward to coming in the next time, as are we.

The staff track and understand my insurance. The office is very clean and modern. I am thrilled to have an exceptional Doctor and dental service right near my home.

Negative experience: My recent phone conversation with manager Robert Bitzer at The Dental Bar was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. From the start, Mr. Bitzer repeatedly spoke over me, showing no interest in actually listening to my concerns. His tone was dismissive, and it quickly became clear that he was more focused on asserting control over the conversation than resolving the issue. I felt disrespected and belittled, as though my concerns as a patient were not only unimportant but also unwelcome. What was most troubling, however, was Mr. Bitzer’s implication that my dental records could be sent back to my previous provider—an action he framed not as a helpful option, but as a veiled threat to stop servicing me at my current dentist, The Dental Bar. This approach felt manipulative and retaliatory, designed to intimidate rather than support patient care. No patient should be made to feel disposable or punished for voicing a concern. This experience has seriously called into question the professionalism and integrity of The Dental Bar’s management.

As a patient of Dental Bar for almost five years, I appreciated the quality of the practice and the kindness of its staff. Even after I moved out of the area, I continued to drive over an hour each way on traffic-filled I-95 for my appointments. Dental Bar has cutting edge technology and amenities, including an AI tool that was able to detect pre-cavities forming in my molars that a regular exam may have missed. The office also offers you a wide variety of drinks while you wait, including alcoholic beverages! Dental Bar is the best dental practice I have been to. Fantastic experience: Posting again about how much I love Dental Bar. Phenomenal service, they fit me in same day on a Friday afternoon no less to deal with a problem with an old crown. Dr G is the best, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: I have my dream team with the head hygienist and Dr G now. The assistant (name starts with K) that did my initial flossing was too rough and should never floss another person. She basically yanked the floss in / out between my teeth. My teeth are tight in some areas and the gentle approach is what everyone else have used but not her.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here since April after finding this place on TikTok and I must say - believe the hype! I came for a regular exam and cleaning and got a free Invisalign scan, now I’m finishing up my Invisalign treatment. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and in my last visit Allan was particularly welcoming and helped me relax in the chair after a long day at work! Super happy I found this place, it’s well worth the drive from DC and they do accept my insurance which is awesome!

This has been the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist on multiple levels, and it’s hard to know where to begin listing highlights. The office is sparkling clean, smells incredible, and has gorgeous views of the Potomac. You are offered a complimentary beverage of your choice when you walk in, and best of all, the very kind staff takes time to patiently explain insurance benefits *before* you’re walked back to the chair. Speaking of which, when you sit down for a cleaning, you’re offered soft blankets, neck pillows with essential oils, and the chance to watch TV. At other dentists, it can seem like unexpected charges are always lurking around the corner, but at Dental Bar, the team went out of their way to put me at ease about finances and let me know upfront if any procedures would cost extra. And Dr. Salpetch was very kind, knowledgeable, and generally just stellar to connect with. She went out of her way to make my concerns feel like a priority and consult with me on some complex pain. I’m truly blown away by my experience with Dental Bar so far - and, in a first for me, might look forward to future visits.

Fantastic experience: This place is the best. Adriana at the front desk is so sweet and knowledgeable about all things cost and insurance related. She answered all of my questions patiently when it was time for me to check out and schedule my next appointments. I had a cleaning scheduled for today and she greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and I’m only here for cleanings like 2 times a year. I had my cleaning done today by Maddie and Dr. S. Maddie was so cheerful, kind and gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. She checked in throughout the cleaning and was the most efficient x-ray photo taker ever (which was great because dental x-rays suck ) Dr. S came in to finish the cleaning and was also very gentle! She explained the X-rays to me clearly and answered all of my questions about possible treatments (for my cavities and a lil’ gap that’s coming back due to a lost retainer ) She did not try to coerce my into choosing one treatment over the other but presented the information so that I felt empowered to make the best choice for myself. If you don’t like the dentist, I suggest you try out Dental Bar. They might just change your mind!

Both facilities have always been pristine, with the latest technology, and the service from the office staff and Dr. G is exceptional. Fantastic experience: 11 out of 10. This was my first visit, and only a new patient cleaning, but I left the appointment more relaxed than when I went in. Dental Bar crosses between dentist office and wellness spa, and I’m not sure why anyone would go to a “traditional” dentist office now. The staff are all kind and extremely knowledgeable. The equipment is state of the art. I got to sit back with a warm neck pillow of orange essential oils while learning about my personal teeth habits and challenges. What more could I ask for?

I felt welcomed from the first call. Front desk is super accommodating and helpful at scheduling appointments and submitting pre treatment claims. Dr Salpetch and Dani were super professional and quick in there treatments. They made me feel comfortable and more at peace during my visits. I loved the extra touches like tv, headphones, pillows and blankets that made my visit extra comfortable. For someone that has same phobias - I can’t recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: The staff at Dental Bar is always wonderful and friendly. They know me by name and have amazing service. They are realistic and after being pressured into dental work I didn't really need at a previous dentist, I love the fact that they let me know areas I should watch, but never make me feel pressured into getting work done. Most recently I got a flat tire on my way and they were so understanding, even offering water and understanding when we used their facilities to wash up after finishing. You will never find a better more welcoming place!

Fantastic experience: Paid garage parking, beautiful views, awesome customer service, staff is always friendly and always very accommodating, lovely office space (they have dental chairs that massage), a choice of a variety of drinks to take part in while you wait for service. I absolutely love this place! Definitely don't dread going to the dentist as I had in the past.

Fantastic experience: GO HERE- Can’t recommend this place highly enough!! Dr. G and the ENTIRE staff(techs, assistants, desk gals) are all phenomenal! They are so kind and accommodating and Dr.G is the best dentist I’ve ever seen-My teeth look so much better! Side note: if you have dental anxiety, come here- they make this as relaxing as possible ,and again, are just so kind!

Their staff is so friendly, and I have learned more about my teeth since I started going here than I did my entire life going to dentists in different states across the country. Plus, they make the experience as comfortable as possible, whether that be kicking off the appointment with a margarita (yes, a margarita), or heating up a lavender scented neck pillow to use during the appointment. They also use the latest tech. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dental Bar was THE best experience I have ever had. For so many years I have hated the dentist and have had anxiety over visits and appointments. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. I was given a menu with options to choose from for a complimentary drink and amenities they offer to make your experience comforting. The office itself is beautiful and designed with detail. Eli the dental Hygienist was amazing, very gentle, comforting as well and explained the whole process of my visit and what to expect. Upon her asking If I was okay I must say the neck lavender pillow had already worked its magic :) I will be returning because I cannot express how truly painless and great my experience was at Dental Bar. True definition of people that love their job and what they do, keep up the amazing work.

Fantastic experience: I love this place-it’s the most relaxing dental experience. The office is beautifully designed and decorated, the staff is so nice, and Dr. G is amazing. I’ve been a patient for almost 5 years, moved semi-far, but still make the trip for my appointments. They’ve always fit me in last minute for something unexpected that must be addressed.

Fantastic experience: Cannot praise this place enough. Firstly, they are expert dentists and masters of their craft. I always receive amazing treatment that is comfortable and long lasting. Secondly, the customer service is amazing. These things alone would make me loyal to a dentist but the environment and bar make me even more loyal! Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I have a history of pretty intense dental anxiety, and this practice has changed all of that. From offering me comforts as I sit down (blankets, neck pillow, massage chair, etc.), to offering me pain management options if sensing my discomfort, everyone at this practice has been amazing. Dr. G was incredibly patient with me when my own misunderstanding of my care plan sent me into a little panic, and was so reassuring that I calmed down quickly and powered through the 4 month treatment. Everyone was transparent with pricing and overall, the experience for something as unpleasant as dental work was absolutely wonderful. My insurance doesn’t cover my treatment here, but it was incredibly reasonable pricing for a luxury type of dental experience. Will absolutely be returning for years to come.

Fantastic experience: Twice a year I have the pleasure of being cared for by this wonderful dental team! A friendly staff and warm scented candle awaited me at the front desk. I am always being tended to right after arriving - no long waits! Today I had a view of the Washington Monument from my dental chair. The Dentist and assistants are gentle, happy, knowledgeable, and always open to questions. We tend to share some great stories during my short time in the exam room. =) See you in six months!

Fantastic experience: I went to dental bar because I had moved from southern Va and this was located in old town 15mins from where I live now. I was greeted by the ladies at the front desk ladies who checked me and and offered inclusive drink for my visit. I had a cosmopolitan which was bomb. The vibes were great did not have the dental office scare to it although the Halloween decorations were thrilling. Ellie was my hygienist she did my cleaning and was very knowledgeable, professional and sweet. My visit was very pleasant. Such a beautiful place and nice staff.
